Online story: "A draft of the Texas Republican Party's new platform embraces gay conversion therapy, arguing that it is a viable option for "patients who are seeking escape from the homosexual lifestyle."-- Good grief, Texas, back off. You're adding fuel to a fire that can't be legislated. The moral sins of all are things that each must deal with God on an individual basis. Limit legislating to control crimes as in the Commandments, Our faith gives us strength and insight. We have nothing to win in a battle of nanny-nanny-poo-poo.
---
On the other hand, same sex couples will not get acceptance until, until they practice restraint of PDAs like heterosexual couples should as well.
---
L-E story: "The parents of a Columbus teenager killed in a drunken driving crash two years ago have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against two businesses that allegedly sold alcohol to their daughter’s 17-year-old boyfriend on the evening she died. * The suit outlines how Q^^^^^ allegedly purchased alcohol that night with an altered driver’s license. Circle K sold a 30-pack of Keystone Light beer to Q^^^^^, who was 17 at time. * The suit claims that Q^^^^^ presented a fake ID that did not have his photo on it, and clearly stated “under 21” until April 18, 2013." -- There are electronic license readers, (you've seen them when you vote) , and while a few states aren't on the system, it would be a great way to circumvent most fake driver's licenses. Make them mandatory to use at all places that sell alcohol.
---
Yesterday, the Mayor Obamalinson announced some pretty good savings on our jail medical care contract with Columbus Regional. I applaud that... today.. but what about tomorrow? Why will we continue to give Columbus Regional over 1/6th of our city property taxes for indigent care? Isn't OObamaCRAP suppose to give everyone insurance and shouldn't that mean there are no more indigent patients? In a way, the City will be giving 1/6th of our property taxes to Columbus Regional while Columbus Regional will be taking payments from individuals' insurers, and that includes tax money we've paid to government for Medicaid and state children's programs. Sounds a bit like Columbus Regional will be double-dipping on their neighbors,.. US!
---
One other "item" in the above story sticks out as you digest it.."Tomlinson said the difference between three mills on the entire tax digest versus applying it only to taxes collected will be a drop from $13.4 million to $12.9 million in fiscal 2015." -- If the City will "save" $500K by not have to pay for property taxes not collected, then there's another $2,500,000.00 the City is not collecting on the other 5/6ths of the property taxes assessed. Seems it would behoove, and benefit us, if the City aggressively collected those uncollected taxes.
---
Well, it looks like our local murder totals have reached double digits on everybody's tally sheets. It'd would be wonderful if it was zero, but it isn't and looks like it will jump last years amount. Of course, in an analytical world, 10/11 murders is only a weekend's worth in Chicago which has unconstitutional gun control laws.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Whether sincere or political, I don’t care. Thanks, John Wells, for at least trying to keep my wife from becoming one of David Lewis’ sacrificial lambs. You earned my vote." -- Good grief.. After 28 years "hands on" financial management he claims, don't you think our finances would be in great shape so situations like this would not be occurring? Chances are, with good management, many duplicitous jobs would not have been on the books all these years, and those savings could have been used more wisely.
---
From the L-E's "Today in History" feature: "On this date: In 1769, frontiersman Daniel Boone first began to explore present-day Kentucky." -- Hmmm, well, in 1750, 19 years prior to Boone, Dr Thomas Walker built the first cabin in Kentucky. A replica of it has been reconstructed in Dr. Thomas Walker State Park in Barbourville, KY. FTR, Dr Walker is my one of my ggggg-grandfathers.
---
L-E headline: "OBAMA, PUTIN MEET FOR FIRST TIME SINCE CRISIS IN UKRAINE" -- Hmmm, after seeing Putin shirtless, and Judas 00-Barnum's latest 'work out video', do you imagine Putin sorta laughing? It reminder me of the old Saturday Night Live skit with Hans and Fritz wanting "to pump you up". Wonder if Putin called 00-Barnum a "girlie boy'?
---
L-E story: " WASHINGTON — Consumers revved up their borrowing in April, with growth in credit card debt accelerating at the fastest pace in more than a dozen years. * The result was fueled by autos and student loans, which rose by $18 billion, and credit card debt, which was up $8.8 billion. The upswing in credit card debt represented a 12.3 percent gain" -- Whoa.. let's not go overboard with excitement.. Debt is debt, but long term debt of depreciable cars, and imaginary assets like a future job put these debts in a different class, and not nearly as desirable as home purchases. Student loan debt already exceeded $1 Trillion dollars before this, and there aren't anymore jobs getting filled.
---
L-E headline: "JOBS REPORT SENDS STOCKS HIGHER" -- Slow down.. the news needs a bit of parsing.. a couple of hundred thousand jobs is about half of the amount of people claiming first time unemployment benefits, and the "steady" 6.3 "unemployment rate" just means that there are still way too many people who aren't working are also not looking for work.
---
L-E story: "A Vermont gun importer is blaming the White House for its laying off of 41 workers because the government blocked its plan to bring nearly $30 million worth of antique, American-made military rifles home from South Korea. * The White House’s refusal to allow Century International Arms, of Fairfax, to re-import the World War II-era M1 Garand rifles is an apparent result of new rules set up last summer concerning requests to ship military-grade firearms back into the U.S. * President Barack Obama’s administration said the policy is intended to keep “military-grade firearms” off the streets." -- 70 year old M1 rifles are considered "street guns"? If there's anything laughable about this is that the entire New England Congressional entourage helped eliminate jobs for 41 of the citizens of New England when they supported Judas 00-Barnum's executive order.
---
Online headline: "Hillary Clinton team blasts NYTimes for unfair treatment" -- Good grief , how much longer did she think they would give her a complete pass?
---
From the "did you know" department - Hmmm, Florida has Department of Agriculture Law Enforcement pursuit vehicles. Why? Do you want an agriculture desk official chasing down a semi? Wouldn't it be better, safer if whoever was examining trucks just radioed ahead to the State Patrol to pull a truck over?
---
FTR, Judas 00-Barnum has accomplished exactly what he wanted in trading Taliban for Bergd(_*_)hl.. Benghazi/BeingHazy, and IRS, are off the conservative sites front pages, and the VA will soon follow. Even Hannity's focus group show was all about this trade.
---
Subject line of e-mail from www.barackobama/organizingfor action.com : "Hal, whose side are you on?" --I cannot stop laughing to continue.

Friday, June 6, 2014

First.. a moment of silence.. of reflection.. to honor the brave soldiers who fought.. who died this day... 70 years ago... D-Day.

---
Meanwhile, back at the White House... we have to endure....and in Chicagonese.. "Da-Day"... Da-day Da-Bama became da-bomb for all da-scandals he can't blame on da-Bush43.

---
HuffPost headline: "North Korea Detains American Citizen For Illegal Acts" -- Hmmm... who knew there were 5 North Korean terrorists in our country that Kim Jong-un wanted us to swap out? Hey, can we swap him Dennis Rodman instead?
---
Online story: "Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) chastised some members of his party Tuesday for their reaction to the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, saying they should stop acting like the prisoner swap President Barack Obama arranged was unprecedented." -- Anybody know the Democrat's name Congressman Labrador is running against in November.. I'd like to send him/her a check.
---
HuffPOst headline: "Senator Angus King (I-Maine).: Officials Had Reason To Believe Bergdahl May Have Been Killed Had Deal Been Leaked " -- To cite Hillary.. an "what difference does it make"? We'd still have those 5 jihadists locked up in Gitmo. Who's this clown kidding... even the Taliban knew it was getting the deal it wasn't going to jeopardize.
---
Online story: "A police department in Florida that lost an assault rifle given to it through a federal government program will not receive an armored assault vehicle through the same federal government program that gave it the gun." -- Good grief... this must be the domestic version of the DOJ's prototype Mexican drug dealers gun program.. guess we can call it "farce and furious".
---
Online story: "The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation awarded $100,000 to the University of Wollongong in Australia to develop a condom with more sensation, according to a YouTube video the school posted on June 3. * the material is "made to act and feel more like real skin." Scientists say they hope a more natural feel will nudge more guys into using protection, and thus, prevent unwanted pregnancies and the spread of STDs worldwide." -- Good grief.. Gates should maybe work on protection for his software (innuendo for you liberals out there) protection to stop world-wide viruses from spreading.
---
Online headline: "New trial for O.J. Simpson in the works?" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought MSNBC was going to rehash OJ's trial with a reality show...
---
L-E headline: "Europe flirts with negative interest rates" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought the emigration of French wealthy was making an impact.
---
Judas 00-Barnum has actually contributed to the widening gap between the average Joe and the wealthy. His Fed policy has kept interest so low, Joe Average cannot keep up with inflation by putting weekly deposits in a savings account that pays only 1% (or less) annually, yet can't risk buying into a bubble high stock market. Joe Average ends up spending what he would like to invest because if he saves it for something to buy later, his money won't grow as fast as the cost of that item at a later date.
---
L-E headline: "Study: Alabama fifth-worst state for bad drivers" -- .5th? Maybe in Alabama, but when those drivers are in Columbus, they are definitely the number 1 worst drivers.
---
Have you seen the report/pictures of the effect of marijuana smoke in your lungs? Guess there will soon be the Marijuana Patch, and Cannabi-gum?
---
L-E headline/story: "Hospital Authority OKs contract amendment that could save taxpayers $500K a year * The city entered into the contract in 1992. It requires the city to pay Columbus Regional three mills from the city’s total tax digest for indigent and inmate health care. The amendment applies the three mills only to actual taxes collected rather than the entire digest" -- This just confirms that Mayor Obamalinson actually lied to me when I asked what was the assessed value of our residential tax digest a couple of weeks ago. You read what she said both in my blog and in a letter to the editor in this weeks L-E. That must be the genetic flaw of being a Democratic Party politician. It also confirms that there's a gap in collection of taxes that needs to be closed.
---
Haven't updated on the shenanigans of the Democratic Party website, but this one from Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a doozy. She's shilling voter registration at Iwillvote.com, and wants me (fat chance) to give them my GA Driver's License or Social Security Number AND my party affiliation to the Democratic. Party.....and do it over the I-net/smartphone. I am do glad I am not a Kool-Aid drinking Democrat..
---
Online story: "The top-ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, who represents Maryland’s 2nd congressional district, called Obama’s release of five notorious Islamic terrorists a “dangerous precedent that puts all Americans at risk throughout the world.” * “Since World War Two we have not negotiated with terrorists or other groups,” Ruppersberger said, as reported by WJZ’s media partner the Baltimore Sun. “What concerns me is the future. This puts all Americans at risk throughout the world, including our men and women on the front line…for kidnapping.” -- I guess the Democratic Party is out to make sure Bleep Veep Biden won't even throw his hat in the ring for 2016. First, Judas 00-Barnum just shut down Maryland's coal business under Joe's nose, and now his own Congressman is revolting on him.
---
Judas 00-Barnum couldn't wait to go on tour to apologize FOR America, but certainly is not interested in apologizing TO America's soldiers for sending Taliban jihadists back out for another opportunity to kill our soldiers.
---
Our military should take a page out of Judas 00-Barnum's foreign policy playbook. Do a sweep of all illegal aliens from Mexico, line'em up on the border and demand our marine be let loose or we send them 12 Million more hungry mouths to feed.
---
You'd think that we could trade Judas 00-Barnum to some country for something of value, but it looks like the world leaders are happy for him to stay where he is...unfortunately...
---
Soapbox moment: The cost of education could be a lot more affordable if colleges were not allowed to charge so many "fees" for campus conveniences . My daughter goes to UGA and her "student fees' , mainly for " services" she has no interest in, run $1100.00 per school session.. Going full time and summer brings that to over $3,000.00 per year. Perhaps the state Board of Ed should invoke a "no fee" policy and if colleges want to provide special features to attract more students, make those alumni projects. For sports, let the overall revenues from the 'money sports" be the main stream for all, and special needs be alumni projects.
---
Online headline: "First Lady Michelle Obama says Jane Fonda is one of her role models, and that she admires her political savviness.: -- Hmmm, sounds more like Michelle revealed her LACK of political savvyiness..
---
Online story: "On Tuesday night’s PBS NewsHour, a panel of journalists were exploring how Democratic candidates for the Senate were going to struggle with Obama’s new crackdown on coal plants. PBS anchor Gwen Ifill even said, “why then does the White House rub salt into the wound on this issue? Why make it so hard for Democrats especially?”" -- Oh, no! First, CNN, the the AP, MSNBC and now PBS.. PBS, mind you, has opened its eyes?
---
Online headline/story: "Benghazi Cover Up Blowing Up; Who Throws Who Under The Bus First, Obama or Clinton? * This could seriously cripple the Obama administration and destroy Hillary Clinton’s chance to run for President. What will be interesting is to see who throws who over the bus first, Obama or Clinton?" -- My bet's on Judas 00-Barnum... he has even more experience than the Clinton's combined terms in Washington & Arkanasas.
---
Online headline: "DC High School Principal Tells Students He’s Gay" -- Good grief.. WHY! Secondly, can you see a heterosexual doing the same... can you see the heterosexual being tarred and feathered?
---
Soap box moment: New plan.. the Democrats have done a great job at recruiting voters by offering more entitlements, and it seem the more entitlements it offer attracts even more voters. The Republicans need to stop "attacking" the Democratic politicians, and start talking directly to the entitlement voters. The story to tell is that the Democratic politicians are appealing to even more voters so that the share of funds available is going to be stretched out among more recipients, and the more recipients there are means there are even less workers paying less taxes that can be diverted to entitlement programs, so if they keep electing Democrats, they are going to get less entitlements per voter. Sorta of a simple plan that will work..
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — Senior senators reached agreement Thursday on the framework for a bipartisan bill expanding veterans’ ability to get health care outside the government’s scandal-beset Veterans Affairs hospitals and clinics. * The bill would allow veterans who experience waits of 30 days or more for VA appointments or who live at least 40 miles from a VA hospital or clinic to use private doctors enrolled as providers for Medicare, military TRICARE or other government health care programs." -- "waits of 30 days"? Who does the VA get mentoring from.. local emergency room check-ins?
---
L-E story: "Authorities say a customer at a Massachusetts restaurant became sick when an employee mistakenly sprinkled a chemical cleaner on food instead of grated cheese." -- Massachusetts has long been a sad state, but this is a sadder state than Massachusetts has ever been in.. I've got to see a picture of this cleaner... I cannot imagine cleaner looking like cheese.. but, on the other hand, cheese is a federal school lunch program staple.
---
L-E story: "Columbus native Cecelia Seiler died in Savannah, Ga., on Thursday, according to a news release from the University of Georgia. * Cecelia was the wife of Sonny Seiler and owner of the University of Georgia lineage of Uga Bulldog mascots for more than 50 years. * The Seilers received a wedding gift of an English Bulldog from Frank Heard of Columbus. That took place in 1956. * According to a news release from Georgia, Cecelia fit the dog with an altered children's t-shirt, which she sewed a ''G'' onto. On Sept. 19, 1956, she brought the dog to the Georgia football game against Florida State. * A short time later, the dog was named Uga I and was made the official mascot of the football team. Uga has remained the mascot since then." -- Another tidbit that would have made this story better would be to mention that a local Columbusite, William H. "Billy" Young, III is officially accredited as the person who gave "UGA" his name. Of course, it helps when the newspaper staff is acquainted with local history.
---
L-E story: " The Alabama NAACP is planning a march Saturday in Alexander City over the shooting death of Emerson Crayton Jr. by a police officer." -- Why, pray tell, do we never see the NAACP organize a march to protest black-on-black neighborhood shooting and killings? That would be a greater value in curbing this blight.
---
L-E headline: "WORLD CUP * $17 for cheeseburger; $35 for pizza * World Cup fans face sticker shock" -- Hmmm, sounds like the World Cup copied the Braves menu board.

You know... the main problem I have with people who hyphenate their citizenship is that they put "American" last.. Asian-American, African-American et at.. It also clouds Judas 00-Barnum's decision to trade out 5 jihadist Taliban for an American soldier who deserted his post.. what's he gonna be...Taliban-American or American-Taliban?
---
You know... this Taliban swap of five jihadist for one AWOL soldier really highlights the inadequacies of Judas 00-Barnum's negotiating skills? We have a Marine locked up in Mexico that Judas 00-Barnum should surely be able to swap out 12 million Mexican "deserters" for 1 American Marine.
---
You know..why is it that Judas 00-Barnum has no problem sitting down and negotiating with jihadists, but refuses to even invite Republicans to sit down at the table.?

---
This will be the absolute last mention in The Breakfast Club about the Sterling family, the NBA and the LA Crippers... The Sterling family should sue the NBA to pay the capital gains and legal expenses since it is a "forced sale".

---
Online story: "SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota authorities on Wednesday arrested defeated U.S. Senate candidate Annette Bosworth and charged her with multiple counts of perjury and filing false election documents, saying she fraudulently attested to gathering voter signatures when she was really on a Christian mission trip to the Philippines. * "The election complaints received by the Secretary of State involve conduct that is serious, deliberate, and must be addressed in order to preserve the integrity of our elections," Jackley said in a statement. "Because this is a federal elected office, I have and will continue to discuss the investigation with federal authorities."" -- Excuse me, but is this similar to the case where a judge put Democrat Congressman John Conyers of Michigan back on a primary ballot for the submitting tainted petitions? Where's the federal elections authorities on Conyers' case?
---
Online story: "There was a major Secret Service breach this week in Poland ... because someone was able to sneak video of President Barack Obama working out at the gym ... and it's not pretty. * Obama, who is in Poland to rally Eastern European support against Russian aggression, was filmed working out in a hotel in Warsaw ... and somehow whoever took the video managed to do so without being made by Secret Service." -- Even another Secret Servic gaffe? You know.. if Judas 00-Barnum has selected his own Secret Service agents to guard him, it suggests two things.. 1 - that it emphasizes why we see his other political appointees as incompetent choices also, and 2 - it confirms all along what we felt about 00-Barnum's best insurance for safety is that nobody, or no other country want to have Bleep Veep Biden take his place.
---
From above story.. as the video is still up an running as of 5:36 AM EDST, I guess Judas 00-Bama hasn't read it in the newspaper yet.
---
Now a WWE "star" has come out as gay.. Wonder if the WWE will now have to instruct the referee to throw out a penalty flag for illegal use of hands whenever there's a clech situation?
---
Hey.. does the name Kate Upton mean anything to you? Me neither, but I read she's a swimsuit model who was on the cover with Arnold Palmer for the December issue of Golf Digest. Well she just carped that the LA Country Club would not let her play golf until noon because she's a woman. Well, in the magazine story, Arnie said, "When I met her at Bay Hill back in March, she told me her only golf experience had been playing with her family in Florida one day a year, on Christmas. She said she didn't make much of an effort because it was, well, Christmas, and she wanted to be with her friends. So at age 21 she's just now really taking up the game." So why is she upset.. perhaps the LACC didn't bar her berfore noon because she's a woman.. the LACC golfing staff probably read the same article and didn't think she was good enough to be playing during peak hours....
---
Isn't it about time for someone to come out with accurate information about how many people are without personal medical coverage since OObamaCRAP has available?
---
Online story: "LOS ANGELES (AP) - A man who played a dancing hamster in Kia car commercials and was a backup dancer for Madonna has been charged with California disability fraud. * The California Department of Insurance says 27-year-old Leroy Barnes of Los Angeles collected $51,000 in workers compensation benefits in 2010 and 2011. Barnes claimed he was disabled when a piece of ceiling fell on him." -- Wonder if the KIA hamster had a stage name... say.. Chicken Little?
---
Online story: "On his June 3 Hardball program, MSNBC's Chris Matthews expressed his disapproval of the president having broken federal law in the process of securing Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's release in exchange for transferring five high-level Taliban detainees from Guantanamo Bay to Qatari government custody." -- CNN, AP, Dianne Feinstein, and now Matthews.. Wonder if it's struck Matthews that what he first thought was a "tingle" running down hie leg was actually Judas 00-Barnum taking a "tinkle"?
---
The best solution I've heard to shut the critics up about changing the Washington Redskins name. Drop "Washington" from the name...it's the most embarrassing part of it.
---
As a rule, I am not a hockey fan. I like contact sports, and understand good hard knocks, but the "fights" that are obviously not reactive blows are not what I want to see. Last night, I became even less of a fan. The first game, Rangers vs Kings, i the Stanley Cup finals came on and I watched the opening/pre-game. After the standard color commentary, the American Flag was brought out on the ice. The camera scanned the Rangers' and the Kings'players..not one paid the flag/ceremony a bit of attention. Channel changer, QUICK!
---
Why does the mainstream media refer to Michelle Martin as "Michelle Nunn? Not Michelle Nunn Martin or Michelle Nunn-Martin, or, for that matter, Michelle Martin-Nunn? What's it going to be on the ballot? If you can make up any name you want to put on a ballot, what would stop someone from running as Ronald Reagan or Jack Kennedy instead of their legal name?
---
Good grief...if Judas 00-Barnum thinks Sgt Talibandahl needs time to brush up on his English before doing interviews, then give him a translator.
---
NBC’s David Gregory seemed almost taken aback at Dr. Ben Carson’s desire for a federal government that actually follows the U.S. Constitution * In an interview with Dr. Carson on Meet the Press‘s internet-based Press Pass, Gregory attempted to bait Carson into supporting big, intrusive, all-powerful government by preaching to Carson about how important government intervention had been to African-Americans." -- If anyone doesn't think Gregory's assumptions are the most racist attitude of the 21st Century, then you need to start using Racist-Liberal-American as your hyphenated description.
---
From above story, this is Dr Carson's response: "Dr. Carson answered that what he really hoped for was a government that respected it’s constitutional limitations. Then Gregory's "cut-in" response: "NBC’s Gregory then interrupts Carson, appearing aghast and offended that Carson would suggest that the U.S. Government should actually abide by what is truly the law of the land. Gregory called Carson’s words “a highly charged thing to say." -- Wanna bet NBC's Gregory thought Carson was "uppity"?
---
Online headline: "EPA Chief: Obama Saving Us From Rising Seas And Soaring Temperatures With His Latest Executive Action…" -- Who are these people! What is going to make the seas rise? Basic science tells us that if all the icebergs melted, the actually effect would be for the water levels to subside.
---
Online headline: "Michelle Obama: GOP Efforts To Overturn My School Lunch Program ‘Simply Not Acceptable’" -- Hmmm, other than she has as much Constitutional power as Hillary did when she headed the "HillaryCare" Commission when Bill was in office, the truth is that the only her school lunch program has done is overflow the garbage dumpsters.
---
Online story: "At the start of the year, the Seattle suburb of SeaTac raised the area’s minimum wage to $15, and the consequences are now starting to be felt. And it’s not just the unions who championed the effort, or those who still have jobs, that are feeling them.Over the last few months, a few things have happened:
Managers have taken more responsibilities on themselves, instead of hiring more workers.
Businesses have laid off workers, or eliminated their plans to hire more.
Area parking now comes with an added “living-wage surcharge.”
Hotels have cut employee benefits, free food, and overtime.
Hmmm, you know.. nothing predicts the future of a bad idea better than the results (factual vs liberal versions) of a previous movement that's already in force.
---
We've been involved in VBS this week. My bride is the best craft creator there ever has been. One of the many things that stand out is that our Kindergarten & 1st graders come with skills and teachability that comes from good communication between he teachers & parents. I just wonder how the public school system drops the ball with them by the time there graduate?
---
A fellow BCer passed thos along to us. Seems there are over 150 VA employees in Arizona makingg in excess of $200K in salaries alone.
---
L-E story: "Medics rushed a 48-year-old homeless man to the Midtown Medical Center for burn treatment after he was set on fire at the tent city near J.R. Allen Parkway's Exit 1, according to a Columbus police report." -- Why is this happening...Mayor Obamalinson's task force should be getting all our homeless out of harm's way.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The vast majority of the Founding Fathers were not Christians. they were deists: they accepted there was a creation, but they didn’t know who created" -- It would be easy to just blast the facts this person has pulled out of the air, but there's a possibility this person is just a lost product of a public education history re-write. Like God, we should give him the benefit of his doubt...for now.
---
L-E headline: "Syria’s Bashar Assad wins presidential vote in landslide" -- Hmmm sorta like Mayor Obamalinson's re-election here...bloc votes.
---
L-E story: " ATLANTA— Georgia will pay more than $107 million for the development of a new statewide standardized test, replacing the CRCT and EOCT exams taken by elementary and high school students.
* The state Department of Education says students will first take the Georgia Milestones tests in 2014 and 2015. * The tests will be more difficult to meet Common Core standards and move entirely online within the next five years" -- What BS! Who even knows is "Common Core" will still be in effect next year, much less than what its status will be following the next election. Besides, when have we seen any academic assessment test made "harder" than the one its replaced?
---
There's a report of the latest MCSD board meeting, and John Wells demonstrates two important aspects the voters need to keep in mind.. one is that we remember the July 22 runoff date when we cam unseat Wells, and two, we need to remember to contact our legislative group to get our local election laws changed to allow for us to vote in November rather than May. Even if Wells loses, he'll still be a vapid member of the School Board until January of 2015.
---
I'm curious... these cities considering/enacting personal minimum wages for area employees.. have they been up front with then local taxpayers as to how much it's going to raise their future taxes to pay city employees?

Looking at the states that are going to get hit hard by Judas 00-Barnum's pen that's shutting down coal, there are 9 states that have Democrat Senators up for re-election this November - WV, MT, CO, NM, AR, LA, ILL, VA, and AK. Forget IL with Durbin because there are enough registered dead people to prohibit any Republican from winning, so there are 8 states up for grabs as people realize coal is "big & important bidness".
---
This isn't totally my thought, but a second comment nails it....remember the fake interpreter at Nelson Mandela's funeral? He was probably 'vetted' more closely than D(_*_)hlberg's dad.
---
Online story: "President Barack Obama pledged Tuesday to boost U.S. military deployments and exercises throughout Europe, an effort costing as much as $1 billion to demonstrate American solidarity with a continent rattled by Russia's intervention in Ukraine." -- Huh? Isn't Judas 00-Barnum the same guy that pulled our defense missiles out of Poland to show Russia he was flexible?
---
Good Grief! Holy Batcrap! Judas 00-Barnum says he's gonna monitor the 5 Taliban jihadists he's released from Gitmo. Aside from believing anything that escapes either set of his lips, I would like to know just how Judas 00-Barnum was even thinking..uh..feeling he could monitor them and prevent their recidivism?
---
You know, Judas 00-Barnum can't look back at Bush43 and blame him for D(_*_)hlberg. D(_*_)berg went AWOL in 2009, AFTER Judas 00-Barnum was already in office.
---
Online story: "CNN legal eagle Jeffrey Toobin said Monday that President Obama "clearly broke the law" in his efforts to free American POW Bowe Bergdahl. * Controversy has flared in the days since Bergdahl's release, with Congress saying it was not given the requisite 30 days notice it should have been given before Obama freed five prisoners from Guantanamo Bay in order to swap them for Bergdahl. * "I think he clearly broke the law," Toobin said on "The Situation Room." "The law says 30-days' notice. Give 30 days' notice. Now, it is true that he issued a signing statement, but signing statements are not law. Signing statements are the president's opinion about what the law should mean. Now, it may be that the law is unconstitutional, a violation of his power as commander in chief, but no court has held that. The law is on the books, and he didn't follow it." -- ""I think he clearly broke the law" ....This is CNN... not Fox News stepping up to the plate.
---
Online story: " General Motors on Tuesday apologized to families of accident victims who have been notified to bring in cars for replacement of defective ignition switches." -- "apologizes to families of victims"? That's not enough.. GM should be apologizing to every personwho has driven in one, ridden one, been strapped in a baby carrier, and shared the road with one..... and even that may not be enough.
---
HuffPost/AP headline/story: "White House Issues Apology Over Bowe Bergdahl POW Swap * The White House has apologized to key lawmakers for not notifying them in advance about the exchange of five Taliban detainees for Sgt. Bowe Bergd(_*_)hl ( * Sens. Dianne Feinstein of California and Saxby Chambliss of Georgia, the top Democrat and Republican respectively on the Senate Select committee on Intelligence, said White House officials called them Monday to say the lack of notification had been an oversight. Feinstein said she received a call from Deputy National Security Adviser Tony Blinken." -- "Oversight"? ... but certainly not "unintentional".... Guess Judas 00-Barnum doesn't know whoich tactic to focus on to dampen coverage on Benghazi/BeingHazy... he's floated the "LGBT Pride month to distract Fox, and the Taliban swap for FOX the rest of the media.
---
Online story: "A family owned bakery has been ordered to make wedding cakes for gay couples and guarantee that its staff be given comprehensive training on Colorado’s anti-discrimination laws after the state’s Civil Rights Commission determined the Christian baker violated the law by refusing to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple." -- Wanna bet whether any "couple" would wanna eat one under this condition? Do you remember the "choclate pie" scene in "The Help"?
---
L-E headline: "Atlanta airport launching free Wi-Fi" -- Hmmm.. and how come 1000s of smartphone/computer users in the airport won't effect the landing/departing airplanes like the airlines claim they do by passengers IN the planes?
---
Don't forget this woman's name...Miriam Carey.. She was the one who was chased down by Washington police last October and killed by 5 gunshots from the rear long after she was no longer near the White House. There is more to this than mainstream media will look into.
---
Online story: "Hagel Hopes Terrorist Swap will Help ‘Peace Process,’ Taliban Laughs * The five high-ranking terrorists were held in Guantanamo Bay as they were “high-risk” terrorists who posed a threat to the United States. * On Sunday, Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel defended the decision on Meet the Press and claimed, “So maybe this will be a new opening that can produce an agreement” between the Taliban and the United States. * “Maybe, just maybe if we give the terrorists what they want, they won’t hurt us.” -- Good grief..Hey, Chuck... well, from now on you will be referred to as "UpChuck".. Maybe you and Judas 00-Barnum can have a "beer summit" with the Taliban to see if they might even admit error in their ways, and like you. Just in case something doesn't work out for ya, I might suggest you keep a large bowl of pork rinds on the table for your guests.
---
L-E headline: "HUNTER REINSTATED AS CITY MANAGER * Council reverses firing in 3-2 vote; Hunter will give up severance and retire in 2016" -- This is why I don't usually venture into Phenix City Council business.
---
L-E headline: "Br(_*_)ntley sentenced to 15 years for ‘accidental’ shooting of girlfriend * With his defense attorney calling Hardaway High sophomore K**** C*****’s 2012 death “a tragedy all the way around,” B****** D****** Br(_*_)ntley pleaded guilty Tuesday to fatally shooting his 16-year-old girlfriend with a sawed-off shotgun." -- You know... there are no "accidental " shootings with an illegal shotgun, or legal for that matter, .. triggers get "pulled", and pulling a trigger is not an accidental event.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The Republican Party has blasted the president for swapping with the Taliban. But if one of them were a captive for many years, they’d sing a different tune and swap a thousand to get free" -- Hmmm.. not a statistical probability... a Republican would not have been captured by walking into a Taliban camp apologizing for America.
---
L-E story: "The Southern Anti-Racism Network will sponsor a Father’s Day Essay Contest on Saturday. Students ages 8-12 and 13-18 years of age are invited to present an essay on the topic: “What My Father Means To Me.” The essay can be about a biological father, male relative, male coach or mentor. The presentations will be made at the Columbus Public Library 1-3 p.m." -- Like I say.. none of this is about "racism".. this is about "culturism", and the black community needs to express itself to the pot-stirrers
that it is tired of people creating issues out of non-issues.
---
L-E headline: "GOP senators say management, not money, is the problem at VA" -- Good grief... "management, not money" is the problem in every government run department...Congress and the White House included!
---
L-E headline: "China cracks down on Tiananmen observances" -- Hmmm, wanna bet the same thoughts run through Judas 00-Barnum's mind concerning July 4th?
---
L-E "headlie": " Juvenile burglary suspects charged with gang activity" -- How can the L-E print this after the election, while supporting Mayor Obamalinson's claims that we have no gangs in Columbus?
---
L-E headline: "Urban League to lead ‘Prison Re-entry’ talk" -- You know.. I'm not sure from the story whether they are planning to talk about "Re-entry" into society or back into jail, but I would suggest they scrap the planned speakers and bring in Neil Richardson from The "Jail Ministry Outreach" program to lead the discussions.
---
From the "only in California...or the Columbus L-E" department - L-E story: " SAN FRANCISCO — A respected chemist famed for dusting off a decades-old recipe for the psychedelic drug ecstasy has died."-- Huh? "a respected chemist"? revitalizing ":a psychedelic drug makes a chemist "respected"?

HuffPost headline: "President Barack Obama Releases Proclamation Declaring June LGBT Pride Month" -- makes sense ...in a warped way... we have "Black History Month", but no month for Asian, White, Hispanic, Scandinavian, Eskimo, or Slavic, and now there's a LGBT Pride month, but no normal, straight or celibate month. Guess we can be relieved, a bit, that "LGBT Pride Month" is not during the school year and there won't be videos and 'pop quizzes'.
---
One thing about it, Judas 00-Bama knows how to pull people's chains.. mainstream media will now focus on the Republican responses to LGBT Pride Month rather than, Benghazi/BeingHazy, Taliban Swap-gate, OObamaCrap, O-VAmaCare, "fast&furious", Illegal Alien reform, Chicago's gun deaths et al.
---
Online story: ""Alonzo Mourning, a seven-time NBA All-Star who currently serves as the vice president of player programs and development for the Miami Heat, has played basketball with Obama before. But he says the president is cutting back on his hooping so as to avoid getting injured. * Mourning says he and the president have moved from the hardwood to the holes" --Hmmm, guess Alonzo Mourning doesn't feel as awkward or pained missing a 3-foot putt on the 18th to lose a bet than he did missing a slam dunk at the buzzer.
---
This Taliban-deserter prisoner swap was the last thing Jay Carney needed to have to deal with as his last swan song. Even if he's telling the truth about the motive of Judas 00-Barnum, who's going to believe either of them? Of course, even letting Carney handle anything that he could be truthful about wouldn't have been believed anyway.
---
Online quote source: " “Trust is the glue of life. It's the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It's the foundational principle that holds all relationships.” - Stephen R. Covey " -- Well, I guess Jay Carney earned that with Judas 00-Barnum, but now has to find someone else that needs a professional liar as an advisor/spokesman. Can you imagine "the hit" the next company that hires Carney will get on public trust issues?
---
HuffPost headline: "Subject Of Federal Nationwide Manhunt Arrested" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought someone had caught up with Pric Holder.
---
HuffPost headline: "Gore Praises Major Obama Proposal" -- It would take something like this to get Algore to come up for air. Tidbit I learned: There are 26 states that produce coal. Of those 26:
2 have voted for Democrats in all 4 of the last 4 presidential elections
1 has voted for Democrats in 3 of the last 4 presidential elections
5 have split 2/2 in the last 4 presidential election
18 have voted for Republicans in the last 4 presidential elections
Think you'll see this in national mainstream media news?
---
From above: Those two states that have voted for Gore/Kerry, Obama & Obama in the last 4 years are. -drum roll, please - Illinois and Maryland. Maryland .. home for Bleep Veep Biden.. guess Hillary won't be worried about Biden making a run.
---
Anyone want to guess, even though no coal is mined in GA, whether or not GA Power Company is going to ask the PSC for an "adjustment" for the higher cost of coal in the future?
---
Online story: "A reporter who has been ordered to divulge the identity of the source of classified information lost his bid Monday to get the Supreme Court to clarify whether journalists have a right to protect their confidential sources. * Without comment, the justices rejected an appeal from New York Times reporter James Risen to revisit the court's 42-year-old ruling that has raised questions about journalists' ability to shield from public view the names of people who tell them government secrets. * Risen detailed a botched CIA effort during the Clinton administration to thwart Iran's nuclear ambitions. His reporting is at the center of criminal charges against former CIA officer Jeffrey Sterling of disclosing government secrets" -- Good for the Supreme Court! If someone tells government secrets to anyone... whether reporters or foreign/domestic spies, the American citizens deserve to know the sources of those "thefts", and who all knows such "secrets".
---
Online headline: "Here's Everything You Need To Know About Bowe Bergdahl, The U.S. Captive Returning Home" -- Hmmm, in a nutshell, now 6...Dahlberg and 5 Gitmo Taliban terrorists are free to do more damge to our US soldiers.
---
Online headline: "Spain King Juan Carlos To Abdicate Throne" -- "abdicate"? How about passing the torch over to nepotism...ala "Baby Doc", Raul Castro, or Kim Jong-un?
---
L-E headline: "Seattle raises minimum wage; will others follow?" -- "Follow" ? You betcha! Other businesses will follow Boeings lead to build new plants in other states so their workers can afford to eat at fast food restaurants.
---
Online story: "Vietnam veterans in California are furious all over again with J(_*_)ne Fond(_*_), after the actress was chosen to speak this month at a UCLA graduation ceremony." -- You know.. this just underlines the sickness of mainstream media and the liberal agenda.. Condoleezza Rice, a model for all women, men too, on what one can accomplish when one relies on his/her own initiative, get vilified for advocating her path to success, while J(_*_)ne Fond(_*_) rode her father's name, nude pictures, and anti-patriotism to fame and fortune as leftist icon. If their is justice in the US, her wealth should be confiscated and turned over to a VA Hospital trust to help our Vets.
---
L-E story: "The Muscogee County School District expects to save about $150,000 by reducing its hours of operations this summer and during the week of Thanksgiving, Valerie Fuller, the district's communications director announced in a news release" -- No salary savings, but closing one day a week will save $150K.. Whatcha want to bet that want include the 23 schools open for "free meals", and how much more would be saved closing those schools?
---
From above story: "Monday was the first day of the modified summer schedule, which will run through July 18. All schools and all division offices will be closed Fridays during that period. They will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. * Employees still work 40-hour weeks in the modified schedule. They work four 10-hour days instead of five 8-hour days" -- Wait a minute.. doesn't this mean we taxpayers will be paying an equivalent of 2 hour lunches for the school employees those four days? 8:00-to-5:00 is only 9 hours to begin with, and I, "we", must assume they are not going to sit and work during their lunches, so in reality they will maximally work for only 32 hours and getting paid for 40.
---
From above story: "You know, "we" taxpayers could save way more than $150K for the next two months if employees only got paid for the time they actually worked. In effect, "we" taxpayers are paying for an extra week+ of vacation time!
---
WTVM9 story: "NEW YORK (CNN) – The Millennial generation is being squeezed out when it comes to buying a home. * According to the U.S. Census Bureau, just 36 percent of Americans under the age of 35 own a home, the lowest level since 1982. * A Fannie Mae survey shows 90 percent of Millennials prefer owning over renting, but a variety of factors are keeping them from making that leap. The factors include student loan debt, tight lending standards, and stiff competition against other buyers. * It's tough for many young people to come up with a 20 percent down payment, especially since they haven't hit their highest-earning years yet: -- And you can blame it all on Democrats.. Carter & Clinton & Barney Frank/Chris Dodd destroyed the housing market with regulations that forbid banks/mortgage companies from screen loan applicants for credit worthiness so the sales prices of home escalated beyond reality causing the "bust", then Judas 00-Barnum has driven more students into debt with loans that still don't get them a job paying enough to pay for their questionable-valued diplomas.
---
These 00-Barnum loans are what's driving this such for an outrageous minimum wage. Graduates can't get $10.00-$15.00 a hour jobs in their fields of study, so the Democrats want to get them into a fast food jobs that pays enough that the government can garnishee their wages for student loan defaults.
---
Just perfect... Dahlberg's dad was invited to the White House to stand next to Judas 00-Barnum, and spouted off Arabic praises. Later it was reported Mr Dahlberg had a history of unusual "tweets" he'd deleted. When asked about that, Carney said they read about it the next day in a newspaper. Excuse me, but how does anyone get to stand that close to a US president that wasn't 'vetted' the full nine yards?
---
Alright, the election is over, so can we see Mayor Obamalinson's plans for the grandiose RiverWalk bathroom and bumper-car round-a-bout at River Road/Bradley Park/Green Island Dr/Cascade Road .
---
Online headline/story: "Michelle Obama Plays The Race Card: ‘America Is Still Racist, And It’s White People’s Fault’ * During her speech to the graduating seniors in Topeka, Kansas, Michelle Obama decided to bring up racism. That is not surprising, given that the ceremony marked the anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education ruling. The shocking part was that according to Michelle, we’ve made very little progress since 60 years ago." -- This wasn't at a Left Coast or Ivy League School.. this wasn't at a "traditional black college" .. this was at a Midwestern college and just demonstrates the effect of how political correctness has infiltrated our children's sense of what's right versus what's hatred/arrogance in the DemocratParty.
---
You know, it wasn't too long ago that Judas 00-Barnum emphatically avowed that if Congress wouldn't help him get things done, he'd use his pen and phone. Well, Judas 00--Barnum, are you now saying that you're intentionally not calling Mexico to get our marine returned to the US? Or maybe it's because you're trying to negotiate a trade of 5 right-wing bloggers to Mexico in a swap?
---
MLB just put itself in jeopardy. A player swung at a pitch and missed it, but still snapped his bat into two pieces. MLB has acquiesced to the pressures of younger players growing up with the thin handled metal bats, and the ease such give to generating higher bathead speeds. Do you remember the disclaimer signs about management not being responsible for objects flying into the stands. That bet's off. Allowing the thin handled wood bats that cannot take the stress of major league batters's strength is bringing negligence into the picture.
---
I do think it's time for the US Supreme Court to step up to the plate, and at least sentence Judas 00-Barnum to Constitutional sensitivety training on how to work with Congress.
---
You know...it's become apparent that there's a good, no important reason Judas 00-Barnum hasn't had any success in creating new jobs...he's been taking on-the-job-training himself for close to 6 years, and still's wearing his training wheels.
---
After seeing what Judas 00-Barnum did by taking action on the Gitmo swap, maybe we should be glad he didn't do anything concerning the IRS, or "fast & furious
---
So carbon dioxide is our enemy. Then where are the tree-hugging wackos complaining about Judas 00-Barnum trying to starve trees by reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Also, what if reducing coal use doesn't help...will he try to reduce the human population next?
---
You know... how can Democrats claim it's the Republicans waging war on women? After all, more than half the babies aborted "by choice" were female.
---
L-E story: " Pastor Noble Williams, representing almost 20 mostly black churches in Phenix City and Russell County, asked the Phenix City Council on Monday to rescind its decision to fire City Manager Wallace Hunter. * The council terminated Hunter, who is black, on a 3-2 vote that fell along racial lines." -- Now, and I have no personal knowledge of the answer, but wonder what was the racial mix on the vote to HIRE Wallace Hunter in the beginning. I'm sure no one, especially the L-E, is going to question the "racial mix" of that Council.
---
L-E's " Thought for Today": “There are two cardinal sins from which all the others spring: impatience and laziness.” — Franz Kafka (1883-1924)." -- Hmmm, aren't those the first to voter requirements to join the Democratic Party?

Online headline/story: "Obama to unveil bold coal plan * The rule, which is expected to be final next year, will set the first-ever national limits on carbon dioxide, the chief gas linked to global warming from the nation's power plants. They are the largest source of greenhouse gases in the U.S., accounting for about a third of the annual emissions, and make the U.S. the second largest contributor to global warming on the planet" -- "second largest contributor to global warming"? "Global warming"? What happened to "climate change"? Of course, what's most revealing is that our now being the second largest contributor to something unproven is more of a reflection of our sputtering economy than any planned cutback.
---
Today, Judas 00-Barnum is announcing his plan to eventually eliminate coal being used in power plants... if he wants to shut down 'plants', why doesn't he go after tobacco and marijuana... Oooops, my bad.. he doesn't smoke coal. I guess he does have priorities after all.
---
Online headline/story: "Susan Rice Defends POW Swap As 'Sacred Obligation * Rice noted that, in the 21st century, "some of our adversaries may not be traditional state actors," but that failing to negotiate the release of a prisoner of war based on that "would break faith with the American people and with the men and women who serve in uniform." * "Regardless of who may be holding an American prisoner of war, we must do our best to bring him or her back," Rice said." -- "sacred obligation"? Jeopardizing the security of our patriotic men and women serving in the field for someone even CNN calls a 'deserter'? Well, Judas 00-Barnum is hiding behind a skirt.... again. Guess he or Kerry personally wrote her talking points this time.. I don't think anyone in the CIA or DOD could come up with this as a sellable excuse.
---
You know... I do not think I have ever heard of a Gitmo terrorist trying to escape and seeking asylum in Cuba..probably because Gitmo has nicer accommodations.
---
A South African labour court threw out an urgent application on Monday by the AMCU union to stop platinum firms communicating directly with striking miners, dealing a blow to the union's attempt to stop the companies from sidestepping it." -- Finally.. a court with some sanity.. maybe we can trade some of our District Courts (especially District Court 9 in California) for a few from South Africa. What that court actually has done is take the union executives' thumbs off the backs of the membership, and free up the mines to communicate properly with its workers. Oh.. it also tells the workers that the people who don't work in the mines but collect their union membership fees will have to find another job.
---
Online quote source: " “You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.'” - Eleanor Roosevelt" -- Can you believe it... an inspirational pep talk about how to have good self-esteem... coming from a liberal icon!
---
Liberals are so confusing.... NY politicians blast Fox News, but NY has chosen Fox as its primary TV base for advertising to bring new businesses to NY. And with what hypocrisy .. Last night, Hannity was focused on the 62+% taxes individual New Yorkers pay in taxes while "Start-UP- New York" was advertising "no taxes" for 10 years for corporations.
---
When Judas 00-Barnum waged war of equal pay for women, it was soon revealed that women working in the White House are paid less than the men. Well, if Gibbs, and Carney are examples of men working in the White House , it's obvious that the men have just been paid too much; not that the women aren't paid enough.
---
There were two neat things about yesterday's Memorial Golf Tournament. One was two lefties in the final twosome. Second was a playoff of two Asian-Americans.
----
Just watched the movie "Maverick" starring Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster for the first time in decades. Watching her kiss on Gibson back then went pretty much went unnoticed, but now it shows she was a pretty good actress.
---
L-E story: " Muscogee County School District Superintendent David Lewis will present his tentative general fund budget for fiscal year 2015 to the school board during a called meeting today * The Lewis administration began planning for FY15, which begins July 1, with a projected shortfall of $10 million to $11 million." -- Now we know why our kids are suffering so much in math.. It used to be "If you had 10 candy bars , and you gave away 5 to Jane, and 5 to Dick, how many would you have to give to Spot? The answer was 'zero'. Now, math problems are more like, "If the taxpayers give us $271 Million, and we pay our selves $230 Million, and spend $52 Million (@82 Million total planned spending) on other things, in addition to the Mayor's budget overrun, how much will the taxpayers' children already owe in back school and City taxes when they start paying?
---
You know... The School Board and Council should be bound by law not to approve a budget that is not balanced by projected revenues.
---
Astute L-E "soundoff": " There are no calluses on the hands of the politicians who claim to be working very hard for us." -- Hmmm especially if they are lawyers.
---
Not so astute LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Wall Street is ecstatic that unemployment is down to the all-time low of seven years ago, while thousands of workers dropped from extended unemployment benefits by Republicans are left to suffer in poverty. Nice work!" --Hey, it's not the Republicans that Wall Street supports.
---
Another LIV's L-E "soundoff": " It’s strange that the NRA has never bragged about the tens of thousands of lives guns supposedly save every year." -- Hmm, I can tell you of several lives saved when I was carrying and folks were approaching me and my family in a non-so-friendly way in a shopping mall parking lot... who decided to turn around when they noticed a Glock in my hip holster.
---
You know,, from what I can tell, the persons most vocal about the minimum wage laws are the ones not out looking for a job so they can show an employer how valuable he/she is.
---
L-E headline: "SCHOOLS TO SERVE FREE MEALS FOR SUMMER" -- "Free"? Certainly not for the taxpayers.... and certainly not "equal" among school children whether you divide Columbus in half or three ways.

Sunday, June 1, 2014

First, I am happy for the family of Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, but good grief..Judas 00-Barnum has just screwed every remaining US servicemen who is in, or will be sent to Afghanistan. An American soldier who was captured 5 years ago was just "traded" for the release of 5 Gitmo terrorists. Now, every American soldier any where, but especially in Afghanistan has a "known value" to every terrorist cell group.

There is a disturbing... no, sick, YouTube video of a mother holding her toddler while a man tattoos her child's arm. Even sicker is whoever is videoing the event. Even more sicker is it was posted to YouTube, and YouTube is running with it. The only thing I can think of that would be sicker would be if the mutilation was paid for with a government EBT card.

Online story: "Basketball legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson will help lead a White House push to get more Americans involved in reversing underachievement among young minority men, President Barack Obama said Friday." -- Good grief... Once again Judas 00-Barnum is promoting racism and segregation! Can you imagine if Larry Bird announced a program like this for "disadvantaged" white children? Why isn't the NBA barring Magic Johnson from ownership/events/facilities? Certainly, this is worse that the off-the-cuff comments made by Sterling.. Johnson's venture is intentional, and supported by 00-Barnum. Dr King's message is lost.
---
Online story: "Hillary Clinton may not be much at administering the State Department, but she’s certainly a pro when it comes to expressing outrage at her own persecution. * The Clinton camp reportedly leaked the 34-page Benghazi chapter of Hillary’s latest tome to favored outlet Politico. The portions quoted by Politico demonstrate an offputting self-pity and a false righteous indignation utterly at odds with Clinton’s actions as Secretary of State. * Hillary goes on to attack anyone who asks questions about her behavior during Benghazi, writing, “I will not be a part of a political slugfest on the backs of dead Americans. It’s just plain wrong, and it’s unworthy of our great country. Those who insist on politicizing the tragedy will have to do so without me.” -- Hmmm, and all this would/could have been avoided if Hillary fought as hard for the Benghazi group as she does for her self.
---
Have you noticed that anti-microbial soaps/cleaners proudly proclaim they kill 99+% of germs? What is that less than 1% germ that so many cleaning products can't kill? I think I'd run and buy some if a company said it had a formula that killed that elusive germ no one else seems to know how to figure out.
---
Phil Mickelson is being investigated? You know, it's somewhat ironic that mainstream media would think a man who makes a living playing a sport that he is required to call a penalty on himself for any infraction should be questioned harder than Judas 00-Barnum and both Clinton's who would never take responsibility for even a broken campaign promise .
---
You know, maybe we should raise the minimum wage to $15-$25.00. That would create jobs for college engineering grads designing machines that would do the jobs that until now have feasible for businesses to hire lower income employees. ATMs, Self-Checkout Registers, Toll takers are just a few of previous results to minimum wage increases. We already have home-use robot vacuums, so commercial ones would be the next step, Google is developing driverless vehicles which could become the next taxi and pizza delivery vehicles, electronic sensors would surely be an improvement over TSA employees
---
A VA facility in Michigan has been exposed for putting a screen in front of a tribute to Mary and Jesus in the Christian chapel. What do they think.. that Jesus isn't going to know what's going on if he can't "see it"?
---
The L-E points out a very good reason why our non-partisan elections need to be settled during the November General Election versus during the May Primary Elections.. 7 months exist before a changing of the guard for both the MCSD and City Council/Mayor. As hard as it is to unseat and incumbent during a Primary Election cycle, our city does not need for an unseated board/Council member to be a smoldering, disgruntled public official. State Reps...are you listening?
---
LIV's L-E :soundoff": " Anti: anti-peace, anti-environment, anti-gay, anti-female, anti-minority, anti-living wage, anti-public education, anti-government regulations that keep us all safe, etc. In a word, conservatives." -- Hmmm, conversely, anti-personal responsibility, anti-personal accountability, anti-personal achievement, anti-personal freedom, anti-constitution, but pro-labeling, pro-government enslavement, and pro-segregation make one a liberal.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Republicans refuse to address the serious climate change issue. A lot of money is coming into their campaigns from people who don’t want regulations and restrictions." -- Huh? Republicans have met the climate change issue head on. It's just that "facts" are in the liberals' arguments.
---
Outrageous LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Outrageous conservative lie: “Lower taxes on the rich will produce jobs.” Fact: Taxes on the wealthy are lower than ever, yet 22 million American workers remain unemployed or underemployed." -- There are more people not paying income taxes than there are people paying income taxes. Truth is, if the government got out of the welfare "business", businesses would take the tax savings and create jobs for motivated people. We have more people leaving the work force at any time because of entitlement programs that enable them to "get by".
---
Michele Martin, Democratic Party candidate for Senate from GA (a.k.a. Michelle Sam-Nunn's-Daughter) is already flip-flopping on basic issues. Once Washington Democrats started piling on VA chief Shinseki, she jumped right in, but.. on the other hand.. she will not admit to whether or not she would have voted for or against OObamaCRAP.
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — The new pollution rule the Obama administration announces Monday will be a cornerstone of President Barack Obama’s environmental legacy and arguably the most significant U.S. environmental regulation in decades." -- "cornerstone"? How about a stumbling block for the economy...
---
In a L-E column: " A botched execution in Oklahoma has drawn attention to problems surrounding lethal injections around the country, including Georgia." -- "botched execution"? The SOB died... rightfully so... I don't consider that something that I would consider "botched". So what if he suffered a bit.. what about the suffering he caused his victim, the victim's family, even his family, and the citizens of Oklahoma in general.
---
From L-E interview with Mayor Obamalinson:
Question: "What is your greatest strength?"
Answer: "Communication and steadfastness."
Hmmm...you know.. that's the answer I'd think was her greatest weakness. Communication implies "listening" and "leadership". What I observe is outright bullying.. whether it was in firing/replacing department heads or gaveling down public input at Council meeting.
--
Question: " Who came up with “Teresa Works?”
Answer: "I believe that was my sister"
"I believe it was my sister"? Either she knows or she doesn't... either way, she just would not give credit to a member of her own family if it was due.
--
Question: "You had strong, wide and deep support in the black community. At some point it seemed like that support was eroding prior to the election. Were you surprised by the numbers you pulled with the minority vote?"
Answer: "You had strong, wide and deep support in the black community. At some point it seemed like that support was eroding prior to the election. Were you surprised by the numbers you pulled with the minority vote?
Hmm.. actually, this election showed two things important... one was that the black voting bloc did do more individual thinking than the past... usually, the vote in the black community is 90% or higher for the Democrat candidates. Secondly.. though he didn't get strong black support, Nate Sanderson running with Republican support demonstrated a crack in the Democratic Wall.
--
Question: "What is your political future after the next four years?"
Answer: "I have no present intention of running for any political office after this"
Question: " So, you are not running for Congress?
Answer: No. I have no intention of running for Congress. Of the future jobs that may be, that is one I could least envision"
Question: "Governor?"
Answer: "I don’t see that, as well. I will tell you this — and it will get to what you are saying. My personality type is much better in an executive, think-tank type role
Hmmmm, guess she thinks of herself as a "Community Organizer".... Other than that. it llooks like she has paraphrased all of Hillary's artful dodges of political inquiries.

Now, if only Chuck had asked pertinent questions concerning the lack of revenue stream from our "investment: in Whitewater, and why she is allowing what was begun as a restoration project to become an amusement park that encroaches on the environment of local habitat. Oh, and how nature friendly will a 200 MPH train be?
