MLB just put itself in jeopardy. A player swung at a pitch and missed it, but still snapped his bat into two pieces. MLB has acquiesced to the pressures of younger players growing up with the thin handled metal bats, and the ease such give to generating higher bathead speeds. Do you remember the disclaimer signs about management not being responsible for objects flying into the stands. That bet's off.
