Online headline/story: "Obama to unveil bold coal plan * The rule, which is
expected to be final next year, will set the first-ever national limits on
carbon dioxide, the chief gas linked to global warming from the nation's power
plants. They are the largest source of greenhouse gases in the U.S., accounting
for about a third of the annual emissions, and make the U.S. the second largest
contributor to global warming on the planet" -- "second largest contributor to
global warming"? "Global warming"? What happened to "climate change"? Of
course, what's most revealing is that our now being the second largest
contributor to something unproven is more of a reflection of our sputtering
economy than any planned cutback.
---
Today, Judas 00-Barnum is announcing his plan to eventually eliminate coal
being used in power plants... if he wants to shut down 'plants', why doesn't he
go after tobacco and marijuana... Oooops, my bad.. he doesn't smoke coal. I
guess he does have priorities after all.

Online headline/story: "Susan Rice Defends POW Swap As 'Sacred Obligation *
Rice noted that, in the 21st century, "some of our adversaries may not be
traditional state actors," but that failing to negotiate the release of a
prisoner of war based on that "would break faith with the American people and
with the men and women who serve in uniform." * "Regardless of who may be
holding an American prisoner of war, we must do our best to bring him or her
back," Rice said." -- "sacred obligation"? Jeopardizing the security of our
patriotic men and women serving in the field for someone even CNN calls a
'deserter'? Well, Judas 00-Barnum is hiding behind a skirt.... again. Guess he
or Kerry personally wrote her talking points this time.. I don't think anyone in
the CIA or DOD could come up with this as a sellable excuse.
---
You know... I do not think I have ever heard of a Gitmo terrorist trying to
escape and seeking asylum in Cuba..probably because Gitmo has nicer
accommodations.

A South African labour court threw out an urgent application on Monday by
the AMCU union to stop platinum firms communicating directly with striking
miners, dealing a blow to the union's attempt to stop the companies from
sidestepping it." -- Finally.. a court with some sanity.. maybe we can trade
some of our District Courts (especially District Court 9 in California) for a
few from South Africa. What that court actually has done is take the union
executives' thumbs off the backs of the membership, and free up the mines to
communicate properly with its workers. Oh.. it also tells the workers that the
people who don't work in the mines but collect their union membership fees will
have to find another job.

Online quote source: " “You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every
experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to
say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that
comes along.'” - Eleanor Roosevelt" -- Can you believe it... an inspirational
pep talk about how to have good self-esteem... coming from a liberal icon!

Liberals are so confusing.... NY politicians blast Fox News, but NY has
chosen Fox as its primary TV base for advertising to bring new businesses to NY.
And with what hypocrisy .. Last night, Hannity was focused on the 62+% taxes
individual New Yorkers pay in taxes while "Start-UP- New York" was advertising
"no taxes" for 10 years for corporations.
---
When Judas 00-Barnum waged war of equal pay for women, it was soon revealed
that women working in the White House are paid less than the men. Well, if
Gibbs, and Carney are examples of men working in the White House , it's obvious
that the men have just been paid too much; not that the women aren't paid
enough.

There were two neat things about yesterday's Memorial Golf Tournament. One
was two lefties in the final twosome. Second was a playoff of two
Asian-Americans.

Just watched the movie "Maverick" starring Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster for
the first time in decades. Watching her kiss on Gibson back then went pretty
much went unnoticed, but now it shows she was a pretty good actress.

L-E story: " Muscogee County School District Superintendent David Lewis
will present his tentative general fund budget for fiscal year 2015 to the
school board during a called meeting today * The Lewis administration began
planning for FY15, which begins July 1, with a projected shortfall of $10
million to $11 million." -- Now we know why our kids are suffering so much in
math.. It used to be "If you had 10 candy bars , and you gave away 5 to Jane,
and 5 to Dick, how many would you have to give to Spot? The answer was 'zero'.
Now, math problems are more like, "If the taxpayers give us $271 Million, and we
pay our selves $230 Million, and spend $52 Million (@82 Million total planned
spending) on other things, in addition to the Mayor's budget overrun, how much
will the taxpayers' children already owe in back school and City taxes when they
start paying?
---
You know... The School Board and Council should be bound by law not to
approve a budget that is not balanced by projected revenues.

Astute L-E "soundoff": " There are no calluses on the hands of the
politicians who claim to be working very hard for us." -- Hmmm especially if
they are lawyers.
---
Not so astute LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Wall Street is ecstatic that
unemployment is down to the all-time low of seven years ago, while thousands of
workers dropped from extended unemployment benefits by Republicans are left to
suffer in poverty. Nice work!" --Hey, it's not the Republicans that Wall Street
supports.
---
Another LIV's L-E "soundoff": " It’s strange that the NRA has never bragged
about the tens of thousands of lives guns supposedly save every year." -- Hmm, I
can tell you of several lives saved when I was carrying and folks were
approaching me and my family in a non-so-friendly way in a shopping mall parking
lot... who decided to turn around when they noticed a Glock in my hip
holster.
---
You know,, from what I can tell, the persons most vocal about the minimum
wage laws are the ones not out looking for a job so they can show an employer
how valuable he/she is.
---
L-E headline: "SCHOOLS TO SERVE FREE MEALS FOR SUMMER" -- "Free"? Certainly
not for the taxpayers.... and certainly not "equal" among school children
whether you divide Columbus in half or three ways.
