Hmmm....those cars, you know, the ones that will come to a stop by themselves if they detect a pending collision are probably more dangerous than a car without such electronic sensors. If you were driving and a car swerved into you lane and came at you full speed, and your car came yo a complete stop, the car hitting you would still be a full speed and you would be taking the full brunt of a car in full motion while you were a sitting duck. Gripe 2 - "Lorrie also has a problem with people not keeping their dogs on a leash, which creates a real hazard to cyclists. * “I’ve been bitten, gone over the handlebars, and I have friends who have had broken bones and concussions due to loose dogs,” Lorrie wrote. “Unfortunately the bike cops can’t ticket owners of loose dogs. They tell us to call Animal Control, which could take over an hour to show up." -- Hmm, seems "Lorrie" can't win.. maybe she should take her own dogs to chase off the horses.
Gripe 3 - "Gabe says it’s beyond time that the entire RiverWalk be linked into one unbroken stretch. He said riders were promised a connection between the stretch, which ends at the base of North Highland Dam and the spot where it picks back up in Bibb City, but have yet to see any work being done there * As you can see from the picture (in L-E), that involves taking walkers and riders up over the dam to an elevation about 50 feet higher. I’m told it will likely involve a series of switchback bridges, so the grade won’t be ridiculously steep." -- Or Gabe can wait for Mayor Obamalinson to grant her a $244K elevator at that point.
Gripe 4 - Gabe also gripes that the north end of the RiverWalk, from downtown to Lake Oliver, gets much less use because of the disconnections and because of the presence of homeless people, who take up residence in rest areas, picnic shelters and bathrooms along the way. That can be intimidating to lone riders, especially women, he said. * “My point here is that the RiverWalk is for all citizens, not just vagrants,” Gabe says. “If my wife wants to walk alone on that end and needs to use the bathroom, then she ought to be able to use the expensive bathrooms the city built.” -- Well, Gabe is in luck.. Mayor Obamalinson has promised to rid Columbus of homeless. In fact she appointed and funded a Committee to do that in 10 years. I think 3 have passed so far, so by the time she get her "high-speed rail system" to Newnan" finished in 2020, the RiverWalk should be "homeless free". Hmm maybe she's planning to give one-way "high-speed" rail tickets to the homeless that are still around the RiverWalk at that time.
Gripe 5 - Gabe..again.. says, : “If the city would just recognize that, bikers could really get to see rafting action and the gorgeous part of the river that is marquee to Columbus,” -- Hmm.. this is going to be tougher to solve... what is Mayor Obamalinson going to do about the medieval torture devices GA Power has placed all along the Northern RiverWalk?

That's hardly anything to give a positive spin on Obama's presidency. The deficit is what it is.. a burden on the future of America.

Lewis took a former assistant principal from Carver and sent him to Double Churches Middle School as Principal.. but what I want to know is why any Carver "executives" are still in the MCSD system. Carver had the worst.. and by a great distance from second-worst.. test scores in the City , and the total of the City high schools, especially if you remove Columbus High School from the mix, in the state. Millions of tax dollars have been spent building the new Carver High School and equipping it with state-of-the-art technology, and our city has gotten zilch in return. If the former asst-principal and the current appointed on couldn't do something with all the advantages poured into Carver, why do we want those people promoted to new positions?

Of course the worst thing is that no one wants to transfer to them, yet the MC School Office is staffed for the next 5 weeks to take transfer requests only to those schools. What a waste of potential classroom resources.

At 315K, 1st Time Unemployment applications extend out to over 16 MILLION on an annual basis.

Some Colorado l(_*_)wyer has filed a suit challenging whether marijuana retailers should collect/pay sales taxes. He says it could be used against his clients because it's against the federal law to possess/sell marijuana. Good grief..if you are operating out of a brick&mortar store with signs advertising your business, what other evidence would the feds need? What these people are doing is trying to lower consumer costs so they don't buy it from street corner dealers. It's ironic that the cities in Colorado will have to increase their drug squads to make sure street dealers are arrested so citizens will buy it in a store and collect the sales taxes. Amazing..most of these cities thought they would cut police costs, but that isn't going to happen.

Using Ginsburg's "unreasoning", then car dealers/manufacturers also are waging a war on women.. a Cadillac cost more than a Toyota, so why aren't employers responsible for providing women workers wages that let them buy a Cadillac?
