Who are we kidding.. do you think continuing the Spencer name along with the disastrous educational record since Dr Spencer's death really "honors him"? The New York Times says "birth control costs" have dropped because of OOBamaCRAP...Good grief.. out-of-pocket reductions and lower co-pay may mean lower "birth control costs" to the NYT, but pharmaceutical companies are getting as much or more than before., and insurance premium costs have risen, so what's the NYT source of savings?

Can't lump them all together , but the Popeye's Louisiana Restaurant at River Road and Manchester Expressway is not on my list to return to.. The two times I stopped there, the food I was given looked nothing like the food that was advertised. In fact, the second time, the food I was given wasn't even what I ordered. Now, Popeye's is advertising two if my favorites.. Fried shrimp and Hush Puppies.. Uh-uh...I an not even tempted....I even hate to think how awful Popeye's can make it look compared to the ads.

Mayor Teresa Pike Tomlinson, a prominent opponent of plans to close Sweet Briar College, is now the new chairwoman of the college’s board of directors." -- Good grief.. why would a school who's previous board was trying to close it based on financial issues reorganize with a new Chairwoman who hasn't ever balanced a budget based on incoming revenues or initiated a project that has positive cash flow?

I'm really confused at why the MCSB supports David Lewis.. with 10 schools chronically on the "fail" list, Lewis has come up with a plan to spend money on an irrelevant school issue like swimming lessons, but offers nothing to improve the "school failures".

L-E Editorial: Swim lessons a public safety gift for families * As of this writing, the Muscogee County School Board was scheduled to discuss a proposed pilot program of swimming lessons for kindergarteners at Tuesday afternoon’s work session. Formal vote on the proposal would be at the next regular monthly meeting on July 20. * Here’s hoping Tuesday’s discussion of Superintendent David Lewis’ recommendation turns out to have been short and affirmative, because from here it looks like a no-brainer." -- "from here looks like a no-brainer"? Good grief..what looks like a "no-brainer" is this editorial! 10 schools are chronically failing, there's no money available to maintain schools properly between SPLOSTs, employees (other than the administrative ones) haven't had a decent raise in nearly 10 years, and the L-E celebrates Dr Lewis' "BS" as brilliance..
