HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Report: Landmark nuke deal with Iran has been reached" * After 18 days of intense and often fractious negotiation, diplomats Tuesday declared that world powers and Iran had struck a landmark deal to curb Iran's nuclear program in exchange for billions of dollars in relief from international sanctions — an agreement designed to avert the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran and another U.S. military intervention in the Muslim world" -- Good grief.. Iran has been given BILLIONS back in sanction relief.. Basically, Iran can now "have its "Yellowcake" and "heat" it, too".

---
Wow.. the New Horizons space craft will get close ups of Pluto today... Just think, combined with the Iran negotiations, the Obamageddon will have touched "the Netherworld" twice in the same week.

---
Online headline/story: "Greeks rallied Monday night against bailout * While the country's eurozone fate no longer hangs by a thread, the Greek PM now must sell the plan to his people as well as some lawmakers. * With members of his own party openly denouncing a preliminary rescue deal struck with Greece's European creditors, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras must fight to cling to his government's majority after he was forced to shred election promises and introduce punishing austerity measures in exchange for the bailout." -- Greece's Alex Tsipras would definitely be "a player" in the Democratic Party presidential nominee search.. He rallied the entitlement class to support his objections about the Euro Nation bailout by telling the voters that they'd have their welfare checks cut, and now Tsipras is doing a Bill Clinton impersonation of the 1993 speech where Clinton informed his voters that he'd tried to cut taxes like he promised but couldn't.. and he had to raise their taxes instead,,,

---
Online headline: "Pentagon announces plan aimed at lifting transgender ban" -- Good grief..from a reality standpoint, how does a male who's transcending into 'his feminine identification" also be aggressive in hand-to-hand combat?

---
Online headline: "US official: Clear 'El Chapo' had inside help" -- No hock, Sherlock! Sadly, this is the first accurate thought that has come out of the Obamageddon administration....what's scary is that I'm wondering whether it's a lie like every thing else..

---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": Girl emerges from woods, is Wash. jet crash survivor" -- While the girl's survival is truly a miracle, the plane involved was an antique BeechA35 single engine prop plane built in 1949. Praise God for the results, even though He didn't make the headline or story.

---
Online headline: "50 Cent Files for Bankruptcy" -- I guess 50 Cent has been devalued to a "plugged nickel" under the Obamageddon administration...

---
Online story: "The executive committee of the Boy Scouts of America has unanimously approved a resolution that would end the organization's blanket ban on gay adult leaders and let individual scout units set their own policy on the long-divisive issue." -- "Unanimously approved"? You know.. a unanimous vote on a controversial issue is cowardly.. I find it hard to accept that an organization built around a relationship with God would have an Executive Committee with a singular thought on this subject. No, this vote wasn't unanimous, just reported (I'm sure by pre-vote agreement) that way so there wouldn't be any finger pointing by mainscream media...

---
You know, with 3 of the top 8 wealthiest countries in the world, why isn't the mid-east paying for the ending of ISIS? BTW, the US is ranked only number 7 on this list..
---
Online story: "'The worst ethnic cleansing you've never heard of' * The atrocities that are carried out in the remote Nuba Mountains of Sudan have been going on for four years, so why are we just learning of them now?" -- Hey, Al Sharlatan... where are you! My guess is that you haven't gone there because mainscream
media will not follow you there..
---
Online headline: "Drama with Cowboys star Dez Bryant continues * The wide receiver has informed Dallas of his intention to hold out from regular-season games if his contract dispute is not settled in short order. * If Bryant misses any games, the team saves roughly $752,000 per game." -- Hmmm... my guess is Dallas has hired John Kerry to represent Dez Brown...
---
I've noticed something recently...Meryl Streep and Bruce Jenner could play each other in late life roles.
---
Just went by one of my trusted "economic indicators", and things are not any better than they were. Great Southern Wood..you know... "Yellawood".. on the outskirts of Dothan, still has but meager inventory stacked ready to go during the premo construction season.
---
You know, when an issue is brought before the Supreme Court, no decision should be made until after the presentations have been made. I'm tired of already knowing how Ginsburg, Breyer, Kagan & Sotomayor will vote before any discussions have been started. I resent that the other 5 Judges must decide 5-0 to override the "Fixed Four".
---
You know, if the effort being made to save Ft Benning from personnel cuts of 3,400 were applied to controlling the expenditures going to entitlement programs, we wouldn't have to make military cuts during the most dangerous era in the history of America. In the past 50 years, $22 TRILLION has been spent on the War on Poverty, and yet in the 239 years of acquiring and keeping our freedom, only $7 TRILLION had been spent. The problem is Democrats...as soon as it's evident that they can't print enough money fast enough to pay for entitlement programs, they search for areas that need to "sacrifice", and the only area Democrats see that need to " sacrifice" is the military and hard working people who are already overtaxed.
---
You know. Mainscream media is preoccupied with the fact that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker doesn't have a college degree and how can he be smart enough to be president...good grief, look at the degrees of the Clintons and Obamageddon have and tell me degrees make you smarter?
---
L-E story: "A group of 50-60 interested citizens got a preview of a draft report proposing 27.5 miles of new multi-purpose trails in the city, connecting not only different parts of the city, but linking the city’s two premiere trails, the Fall Line Trace and the Riverwalk." -- Hmmm.. what's not noted in the story is that some 200,000 Columbus residents did not attend, but wonder how much of the cost will bicycle riders pay for this personal project....
---
Herbert Greene.. friend and competitor... RIP...
---
L-E story: "Murder suspect Stacey Gray was apprehended in Macon County in the area of Notasulga, Valley Police said. * Gray was charged with the murder of Renee Eldridge and placed in the Chambers County Jail, officials said." -- Huh? Is there something about a criminal being apprehended in Alabama vs Columbus, GA? If it had happened here, it would have read "alleged murder suspect", "alleged Stacy Gray", "allegedly charged", and "alleged murder of". My next question is will the defense attorney call in Al Sharlatan to come inject that the alleged Stacy Gray could be related to Baltimore's Freddie Gray, and is suffering from victimization stress. Well.. he's off the street .. for a while anyway...
---
A "truly get's it" L-E "soundoff": "Greece is an example of what eventually happens to nations with entitlement mentalities. They voted to continue borrowing to sustain their mathematically impossible lifestyles." -- Hmm.. hey Democrat voters, what ya laughing at... Americas next!
---
On this date, 15 years ago, at the rehearsal diner before my marriage, my "Best Man". Tom Gaetz, was surpised with a birthday cake honoring his 50 birthday... do the math as to which one this is.. Happy birthday, Tim.

HuffPOOPOO headline: "And the winner of the 64th annual Miss USA is ..." -- Donald Trump!
---
From the "bias is how you present something" department - From above story: "Trump slammed Mexican immigrants during his announcement that he was running for president." -- "Trump slammed Mexican immigrants"? ... Not exactly... Trump slammed the Mexicans that slipped illegally across our borders.. there is a major difference.
---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "Diplomats: Iran announcement planned Monday" -- Good grief.. from this "headlie", you'd think we have a good deal coming .. I just hope we have the seals left after throwing the kitchen sink into the mix..
---
Online headline: "Escape by top drug lord a strong blow to Mexico's government" -- Good grief.. why wasn
El Ch(_*_)po simply executed when he was tried and convicted.. the only difference for him running his cartel from jail is he didn't get to vacation at Cozumel or Cabo..
---
Online headline: "Scientists warn 'mini ice age' could bring deep freeze in 15 years * Researchers in the U.K. have determined the earth is closer than you think to experiencing something that hasn't happened in 300 years" -- Hey, Algore... the UK has a home for you!
---
From above story: "So what does that mean for us? Pretty much what you'd expect. * Bitter cold winters — cold enough to freeze River Thames in England, which is exactly what happened when the last "mini ice age" hit between 1645 and 1715." -- Hmmm... "the last "mini ice age" hit between 1645 and 1715"...that was during the time of English colonization of America.. anyone remember what "big oil" companies and which car manufacturers were open then?
---
Online headline/story: "Teachers' union endorses Clinton * Hillary Rodham Clinton has won the endorsement of the American Federation of Teachers. It's the first major labor union to make an endorsement in the 2016 presidential campaign. * Randi Weingarten, the president of the union, says in a statement Saturday that Clinton is the "champion working families need in the White House." * The endorsement was widely expected. The teachers' union supported Clinton's primary campaign in 2008 and Weingarten is a longtime Clinton ally." -- Good grief.. why was this newsworthy? The only thing it shows is the AFT must be racist is that it endorse Hillewinsky in 2008 rather than Obamageddon...
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Tablet to connect inmates to the outside world * A new gadget created by JPay aims to abide prison security standards and allow prisoners to download games and educational apps" -- Good grief! why not just give prisoners weekend passes to hit the streets! It's bad enough that families can buy "phone plans" from JPay and have daily phone/e-mail contact with prisoners... this sorta defeats the effect of separation as a deterrent.
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "54 Stingrays Die At Chicago Zoo" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought this might have been a gang related retaliation..
---
Instant repeat - HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "54 Stingrays Die At Chicago Zoo * Chicago Brookfield Zoo says 50 cownose rays and four southern stingrays died after sudden drop in oxygen." -- "four southern stingrays.. Hmmm.. possibly just an out-of-control of all things Southern purge gone wrong?
---
HuffPOOPOO story: "Starbucks on Monday will announce a major new jobs program designed to combat youth unemployment, * In a statement, Labor Secretary Tom Perez praised the companies' efforts to engage young people. * “In America, your ZIP code should never determine your destiny. " -- "your ZIP code should never determine your destiny"? Good grief.. not a good analogy...Zip Codes have never worked well for the Post Office..
---
From above story: "While overall job growth is fairly robust and the unemployment rate has reached a seven-year low of 5.3 percent, youth unemployment remains high. As of June, the unemployment rate for people ages 16-19 was 18.1 percent, amounting to more than 1 million unemployed youth." -- You know.. one of the reasons.. probably the MAIN reason the Youth Unemployment number look higher that the overall unemployment number doesn't count the number of unemployed who are not looking for work.. The 18.1% figure is probably closer to reality for then overall unemployment figure.
---
Random thought: Just sitting here marveling at the elation that overcomes me when just thinkig about my granddaughter coming to visit.. You know, every grown up should be required to have an annual two week period of reversion to age 3.. if every body could bring two weeks of joy to the world like my granddaughter does daily, the world would indeed be a better place.
---
Just thinking about the 130' high netting barriers being built on University Boulevard has triggered an old remembrance... Remember when the Columbus Airport "condemned" at the houses and trees any where near the flight paths of the airport... and removed them through the power of "eminent domain"? I'm gonna bet there wasn't a tree (or house, for that matter) over 40 ft high, and now a state entity is building 130' flight impediments on CSU property.
---
L-E story: " The first-ever Bob Wright Symposium on Business Empowerment has landed Aflac Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dan Amos as its lunch keynote speaker. * Amos heads a Fortune 500 supplemental health and life insurance firm founded by his father and two uncles in 1955. Doing business in the United States and Japan, it has grown to annual revenues of nearly $23 billion in 2014. Aflac was recognized by Black Enterprise Magazine earlier this year for its workforce diversity. " -- Well, Black Enterprise Magazine certainly cannot recognize the Bob Wright Symposium on Business Empowerment for an award on its diversity....
---
You know.. the purge of "anything Southern" has it's own backlash... instead of burying the past, digging it up only brings it back to the forefront..
---
L-E story: "Learn water safety during kid-friendly event at Waveshaper Island * Join Outside World Outfitters at Waveshaper Island for a kid-friendly evening of water safety, 7-8 p.m. Wednesday. * Children must be able to swim in order to attend." -- "must be able to swim"? Well, that certainly doesn't sound very inclusive!
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Back of every mistaken venture and defeat is the laughter of wisdom, if you listen.” - Carl Sandburg, American writer (1878-1967)." -- Man, hasn't this one been sunk by political correctness, and the Democratic Party mantra....We should be laughing and wiser but it would be overruled by the Supreme Court...
---
You know... the Bill Cosby saga would be taking a different path had he been a liberal... mainscream media would be in tears at him being a victim...
---
I remember the days that it took an Act of Williamsport or Tampa for a Little League game to be played on a Sunday...who says "change" is always progress....

Online headline: "Creditors unsure if Greece 'deserves' more bailout help" -- "deserves more help"? Good grief.. of course Greece doesn't deserve any help to begin with.. it's not like Greece has been economically rocked by a surge on its world humanitarianism.. saying Greece has "earned" support is soata like saying Obamageddon deserved/earned the Nobel Peace prize.
---
Online headline: "NAACP lifts its 15-year boycott of South Carolina * A resolution has passed ending the organization's economic ban of the state after Friday's removal of the rebel flag from the Statehouse." -- "NAACP lifts its 15-year boycott"? Good grief... I do believe the analogies about the "flea walking up an elephants leg" or "The Mouse that Roared" pretty well describe the NAACP "boycott".. it sure didn't phase Boeing or Mercedes Benz from building there..
---
Online headline: "President Obama expected to make historic prison visit * The White House announced on Friday that Obama will tour El Reno Federal Correctional Institution in Oklahoma and meet with inmates." -- And for what purpose... searching for a post-White House residence or on a voter registration or apology tour?
---
You know.. I'm about peaked out of hearing about how many "non-violent drug users" are in our prison system...If they weren't there, they would be potential violent users out on the streets looking for their next "hit" and a way to steal to pay for it. Of course, if the DOJ did a better job of ridding the streets of drug dealers (say, as opposed to ignoring federal laws and letting states openly legalize retail sales stores), there wouldn't be recreational users looking for drugs.
---
Online "headlie": "Afghan officals: ISIS leader killed in drone strike * Authorities in Afghanistan said Saturday that recent airstrikes led by the United States may have been a major blow to the militant group. ( 'We have destroyed the base of ISIS' -- Good grief... ISIS is akin to the Greek mythology's "Hydra".. you cut off one head and two more grow back...
---
Ford Motors is conducting research on how to make streets safer for cars and bicycles to use in harmony.. "research"? How about "education"...most bicyclers are simply unaware that the same laws that apply to cars also apply to bicyclers... obeying those laws would be a major improvement in their safety. Of course, bicyclers don't pay for road maintenance so car drivers might appreciate bicyclers paying for their use as well in the form of licenses and taxes.
---
Online headline: "Iran's supreme leader slams US amid deadline" -- How embarrassing! This just demonstrates how the world perceives the strength and resolve of Obamageddon as a leader...
---
Online headline: "Clinton to deliver economic speech Monday, with tax policy at issue" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought we were going to get "the skinny" on the Clinton's Foundation donations and how much in taxes they've dodged..
---
Watching the Scottish Open on TV has focused how advertising has moved in on the purity of the game if golf. Maybe it's because Scotland is recognized as the "home of golf", but it's tiring to hear the announcers saying it's the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open rather than just the " Scottish Open".
---
Watching the Scottish Open is painful..Not only do the announcers have to start out by announcing the primary sponsor's name before mentioning the tournament name, there are actually "billboards" near the greens right in the cameras' line of sight. This is the prophecy of "a good walk in the park,,, spoiled". I wish the golfers would vote to cut the purse size in exchange for the tournament removing the advertising signs.
---
Over the years I've had different emotions about pro golfer Angel Jimenez. After that poor sportsmanship ploy he initiated on Keegan Bradley's caddy, now when I see him, I vacillate between wanting to cut off either his tongue or the ponytail .
---
Online story: "Clint Eastwood has shared his opinion on Donald Trump in a huge way. Not only does Eastwood support him, but he’s speaking on behalf of Trump in California, Arizona, and Nevada!" -- I think we can all feel assured there was no "empty chair" next to Clint this time..
---
You know..the "piling on" movement of organizations trying to distance themselves from Donald Trump are seemingly based on the political atmosphere of the moment..in reality, the cancellations are taking on a personal nature because no one who is informed is saying what he said is actually "wrong".. it's just not politically correct.. On the other hand, can you name a business that has achieved financial successes to equal Trump that were attained by political correctness?
---
L-E hgeadline: "Aflac’s Dan Amos to speak at inaugural Bob Wright Symposium" -- Hmmm.. Dan Amos must feel a little bit like a token guest.. a last minute attendee when some one finally noticed there was no "diversity" in the line-up of speakers.
---
Jonathan Gruber stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " I have voted for Republicans for over 50 years. If Donald Trump wins the GOP nomination, I will vote for Queen Hillary." -- Good grief.. whenever I see a "soundoff" about "being a Republican" and "voting for Hillary" in the same breath, I know it's just another lie from a Democrat. If the "soundoffer" had said he/she would stay home rathe than vote for either, I might have given the writer some credit.
---
Informed L-E "soundoff": " Leonard Pitts’ latest column in your newspaper was BS. Lowering one’s moral standards is not an example of “moral courage.” -- Amen!
---
L-E headline: "UNCHANGED? * Past mayors say Tomlinson hasn’t altered budget process" -- You know, if Mayor TomLYINGson just spoke the truth, she wouldn't need a consortium of ex-mayors to explain things.. Can you not envision Bill Clinton explaining the definition of "is"?
---
You know...it's easier for Democrats to campaign as they all have the same entitlement message, while Republicans beat each other up with claims that they have the best way to rein them in.
---
From the Columbus Council Agenda:
Purchases:
" BUS SHELTERS (ANNUAL CONTRACT): It is requested that council authorize the purchase of bus shelters from Brasco International Inc. (Madison Heights, Mich.). Metra has budgeted $50,000 for the purchase of bus shelters per year. Metra anticipates purchasing 10 each and five bus shelters per year." -- Wait a minute,,, those "bus shelters cost between $5,000-$10,000 each? Good grief.. I'll be that those could be a work project for the jail system to train prisoners for a job skill for next to almost nothing in costs!
SECURE SHREDDING SERVICES: It is requested that council authorize the execution of an annual contract with River Mill Data Management, LLC (Columbus) for secure shredding services, on an as needed basis. * River Mill Data Management, LLC will provide “Secure Shredding Services” for the collection and shredding of paper and other media containing confidential or personal information." -- Whoa! Hold your horses! First, who is disseminating what is being "shedded".. remember Hillewinsky and IRS e-mail "shredding", and second.. why not just use the shredders at Columbus Regional like former Mayor Martin unceremoniously did when he left office?
---
L-E editorial: "Of course poverty is an obstacle to education. Of course it is, the smug “no excuses” mantra of public school-bashing politicians notwithstanding. The notion that with competent teaching a poor child from an environment of sensory and intellectual deprivation and educational barrenness should achieve at essentially the same level and pace as an affluent, literacy-immersed counterpart has never been anything but a class-action insult. * Does that mean a poor child absolutely cannot perform at the highest educational levels? Of course not. There are too many inspiring success stories of people who have overcome high and humbling obstacles to do just that" -- "does it mean that a poor child absolutely cannot perform at the highest educational levels? Of course not"? - Of course not, but...BUT should the successful poor student become a Republican when he/she grows up, and tries to be a role model for other poor children, mainscream media will ignore him/her or make an excuse that he/she doesn't count.
---
Jordan Spieth is such a breath of fresh air.. watching him shoot a 10-under-par 61 yesterday to take the lead at the John Deere tournament (especially when no one would have faulted him for bypassing it and going to Scotland) was phenominal. His eagle on the 17th sorta sums up why the 22 year old has become so endearing to the public.. He holed out a wedge shot for a 3 of the Par 5 hole, then acted sheepishly about doing so.. unlike the NBA, MIB or NFL, humility is still a trait in big time golf.

Saturday, July 11, 2015

Online headline: "Kerry at odds with claim that Russia is top threat to US" -- You know.. I have to agree with two things here.. Kerry is "odd", and Russia's threat to the US pales at what Obamageddon's domestic policy has done.
---
Online headline/story: "Three new national monuments named by President Obama * They are the Basin and Range in Nevada, home to 4,000-year-old rock art; Waco Mammoth in Texas, home to the remains of more than 24 mammoths; and Berryessa Snow Mountain in California, a site of unusual biodiversity." -- "unusual biodiversity"? Hmmm, guess Obamageddon named the last one for himself.
---
Greece got a deal from the Euro Union....in fact, Greece basically accepted the same deal that was on the table before Alexis Tsipras called for a sham election he promoted to voters that they should be against. The only basic difference is that Greece was an election's cost worth of more debt.
---
Online headline: "California shark attack rates plunge" -- Yeah.. they got tired of biting into tofu filled swimmers and moved to the Atlantic.
---
Wow.. how ironic.. Obamageddon was basically responsible for both the Charleston massacre and the killing of Kate Steinle in San Francisco. One of his agencies messed up on the 'background check for the shooter in SC, and one of his agents could not keep up with his gun in California.
---
Talk about a "war on women" .. minority women at that in California.... there's the San Francisco unprovoked murder of a white woman by an illegal Hispanic alien, and then a white woman walking down a LA street was approached from behind and shot in the back of the head by a black man with a shotgun. Let's see some "moral responsibility" from Queen Pelosi in getting Democratic support for a death penalty with teeth in it.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Online headline: "Ross Mirk(_*_)rimi said Friday officers followed the law when they freed Francisco Sanchez months before the immigrant allegedly killed a woman." -- "followed the law"? How convenient.. he followed the "sanctuary city" law versus the law the rest of the country follows. Hey, Senator Feinstein (D-CA), its your state, how about introducing a rider on the new gun control law you're bound to propose making it illegl for cities to pass.follow laws that contradict federal laws... oh.. wait.. we do have such a law.. in fact, it's in the CONSTITUTION!
---
You know, if the Sheriff of San Francisco justifies releasing the illegal alien felon because there wasn't a warrant, then why did he jail the SOB to begin with?
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Kylie Jenner debuts new hairdo" -- Good grief.. mHuffPOOPOO considers this "news".. I would normally "throw up and move on" with this kind of a headline, but... BUT,, compared to her "dud".. uh, "dad", this is news..
---
Online story: "Chris and Scott Lindsey have been together for 14 years and have four children. * The couple was married on July 8th at the W Dallas – Victory hotel and following their touching ceremony, they were shown a special video message from Jennifer Hudson. * the singer actually crashed the wedding and surprised the couple and all their guests to serenade the newlyweds with her song 'I Still Love You.'" -- Hmmm.. they "have four children"? Obviously another story but no facts provided to examine, but the big question is whether Jennifer Hudson's song, "I Still Love You" was a "dis" to the ceremony...something she feels in spite of it..
---
Written early yesterday: The Office of Personnel Management says she inherited the antiquated system when she was appointed in 2013. Hmmmmm, so she's been there two years and hasn't done a thing about a problem she knew existed at the time. I imagine there are at least 21,000,000 current and former federal employees who probably wanted her fired.
---
Follow up from yesterday.. the director of the Office of Personnel Management did "resign" yesterday.. but only after a visit to Obamageddon's bus depot.
---
Online headline: "California beachgoers ordered out of water after large shark bumps surfer" -- Good grief.. and California Electoral votes basically control our presidential elections.. what does it say when a shark bumps into a person,. and the rest of the swimmers have to be ORDERED out of the water.. on the other hand.. what do you expect from voters who don't mind walking around next to convicted felons in "santuary cities"..
---
You know, when I heard the crow in Dumbo sing about about him seeing it all when he saw an elephant fly is now officially updated..I can say I have seen it all ,as well, as I've seen Hillewinsky, Queen of the softball interviews, complain about "mainscream media" not asking tough questions to Bernie Sanders.
---
Soapbox moment: All 13 original colonies had legal slavery...of blacks and whites. When the first American flag flew under the protection of the US Constitution, 8 of the 13 states still had legal slavery. That means 8 of the 13 Stripes on the flag and 8 of the first 13 stars represent states that had legal slavery. In fact, it wasn't until 1858 that there were more states (17) that slavery was illegal than the 15 states in which it was legal. Since December of 1865, slavery of any race/ethnicity has been illegal. So what next.. the Confederate flags are being purge, but the American flag still has stripes in honor of the 13 original colonies, and 20 of the stars representing the 13 colonies plus 7 other territories that were given statehood with legal slavery. Will the libs want to make a new American flag...stripeless and with only 35 stars? That would pretty much mean the National Anthem would have to be scrapped as well..can't we all just get along?
---
Online story: "It was a big coup when the nonprofit Radiological Society of North America landed Bill Clinton as a speaker at its 2010 annual conference in Chicago -- so big that some members were alarmed at how the former president was being paid. Not to worry, they were told: An anonymous donor footed his bill." -- In fact, there's no record of this payment in Bill's (or the Foundation's) tax records reporting the source of income. Hmmm... maybe there was a lot more subject matter in all those "lost"/found, erased IRS e-mails.
---
Yeah, the economy is really booming...home ownership is down 6% points since 2004. That's almost a 10% drop.
---
You know...all the Republican candidates should get together and focus on a common grounds strategy of campaigning, and then just go out and let the voters determine how well they deliver the same message.
---
Soapbox moment: Having spent many years involved with the local Little Leagues (as player, umpire, coach/manager/Safety officer, maintenance officer, board member and league President), it's mighty hard to accept the concept of a "minor league all-star team and tournament". The fact that it's designated as "minors" obviously makes the statement that the youngsters were not ready for "the Majors". It bothers me that there is a reward for players who did not get drafted into "the Majors" as most players who were drafted into "the Majors" will not get selected for the "Major All-Star" teams, but what bothers me the most is that it leaves "wiggle room" for unscrupulous adults to manipulate children into not playing hard enough to make "the Majors" in order to be eligible to play on a "B-team" all-star team. You know.. "B-team/Minor League All-Stars" is an oxymoron.
---
Jonathan Gruber most-extra-stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff" ever: " I remember when my health insurance deductible was $500. Now it’s $5.000. I am ready for a Medicare-style national health insurance plan. It is a workable concept … and no, I am not a Democrat." -- Lying must be a condition of being a liberal..... there's NO DOUBT this is a Democrat... his/her problem is that he/she cheered for OObamaCRAP feeling that it was going to be free for him/her, and he/she still won't admit Obamageddon lied to him/her.
---
A "truly gets it" L-E "soundoff": " It just occurred to me. If we didn’t have lawyers we would need none." -- While it's not an "Absolute", it's so succinct in it's message.
---
L-E "soundoff" from a disappointed liberal who's finally looking at the truth of the matter for the first time: " States should strive to maintain their right to accept or reject important decisions like Confederate memorabilia, gay marriage and other issues. If the states lose these rights then the federal government will have everyone in a chokehold." -- Well, remember all thiose years you voted for Democrats? Well this is what you got.
---
Have you seen the pictures of the Charleston creep that shot all the people in the church? The pictures always show him wearing a bullet-proof vest.... why? In my estimation, any one wanting to shoot his would go for the "head shot" to make sure he didn't get a chance of parole from some liberal judge in the future.
---
From the ":whatta hypocrite" department - Associate professor John A. Tures's Comentary: "When I saw the images of people long denied the chance for a homosexual marriage, I could understand somewhat why they were happy. That’s because, at one time in my life, my girlfriend and I were denied a chance to marry by several churches. And I remember the joy when finally one agreed to let us get married, especially on the day of our 20th wedding anniversary this month. * Now my wife was a self-described “Easter and Christmas Lutheran,” where church-going wasn’t a strong priority. But I kept insisting that Christians were very warm and welcoming. They’d love the chance to have a young couple join their church. * I’m not sure what happened, but every church in town told us no, they weren’t interested in having someone perform the service. Only one said maybe, and that was if we did their year-long counseling program for a start. * “We don’t marry strangers,” another pastor told me. * “But we’ve been in a relationship for almost four years,” I replied. “And we don’t want to be strangers … we’re looking for a church to join as well.” The answer was still no. * Finally, an Episcopal Church said they’d perform the service, if we did their six-month counseling program. We agreed, and thoroughly enjoyed the process." -- "church going wasn't a (our) strong priority"? No wonder the churches said you were a stranger.. not to yourselves, but to the church and to Christ.. but on the other hand, you acquiesced to a 6-month program of membership versus a 12-month plan, so just by accepting the "quickie" you became a hypocrite you accuse the churches of being. Churches wanted what's best for you, and simply performing an "off-the-street" marriage ceremony was not what the churches perceived as "best". Oh... Happy Anniversary to the Tures family!

CSU is building a golf training facility off University Boulevard as we speak.. To protect the neighbors, there's netting being installed to catch errant golf balls.. Some areas of the netting will be 130' tall.. that's eqivient to a 13 story building.. Are there no zoning laws to protect the neighbors from such a site.. Oh, there are, but state projects are exempt from local restrictions.. It's nice to be able to make your own rules.
---
L-E story: "A former lawyer for gun manufacturer Glock says in a federal lawsuit filed this week that a vindictive campaign by the company led to unfounded criminal charges against him that caused his wrongful imprisonment. * Glock Inc., the Georgia-based subsidiary of the Austrian gun company, used its wealth, power and influence to get local prosecutors to pursue criminal charges against people the company wanted to see locked up, former Glock general counsel Paul Jannuzzo said in a federal lawsuit filed Wednesday in Atlanta." -- Good grief.. why has a judge accepted this as a legitimate case?.. You know, if Glock wanted to get rid of a person, don't you think Glock could arrange for some on campus shooting range "accident" that wouldn't raise legal eyebrows?
---
Good grief.. some one-hit wonder named (_*_)riana Gr(_*_)nde has gotten more publicity for licking a donut that she ever will as a singer. and she said she "hates America".?.. Somebody stick a condom on her tongue!

What next...now that libs are on a purge of Southern heritage, are they going to strip the American flag of the stars and stripes that honor the Southern states?
---
You know.. the "mainscream media" is getting miffed at Jeb Bush refusing to continue to answer questions about Donald Trump. Compare that to "mainscream media" refusing to ask Hillewinsky questions about illegally destroyed e-mails, Clinton Foundation donations, Benghazi, and "Where's Bill"?

---
Online headline/story: "Chief resists calls to resign following reveal of 21M hack * Katherine Archuleta, director of the US personnel office, said she has no plans to step down amid escalating cries following Thursday's disclosure. * the director of the federal Office of Personnel Management, said she has no plans to step down and is committed to continuing her work." -- "committed to continuing her work"? Considering the importance of privacy of people's employment information... what, exactly, is there left for her to do? On the other hand, who expects excellence from an Obamageddon appointee?

---
Online headline: "Kerry threatens to quit Iran nuke talks after more delays" -- Good grief.. the time to do that was the June 30th deadline date... besides, Iran probably has completed its first nuclear weapon since then..

---
It's being reported that some Democrats are now expressing concern about the pitiful "deal" with Iran that's on the "the table". Well, if any Democrats are concerned about selling out to Iran, it's only because they have re-elections on the horizon, and have heard what their constituents are saying.

---
Online headline: "Country singled out as No. 1 threat to US security" -- Dang..Russia...I guessed wrong.. I was thinking along the lines of Walt Kelly's "Pogo" classic line... "we have met the enemy ..and he is us"

---
Online headline: "The New York Stock Exchange says an outage of more than three hours was caused by problems associated with a software upgrade " -- Hmmm..hmmm.. sounds like OObamaCRAP has mutated.. no one read the software manual before passing it on...

---
The Mayor of Baltimore fired the chief if Police because shootings/killings are up since she tied his hands following the Freddie Gr(_*_)y riots. The Mayor and State Attorney then persecuted the 6 policemen, and now she wonders why they are, at best, skittish about making rounds and arrests. Democrats have no clue...

---
Online headline: "PELOSI: AFTER DEATH OF KATE STEINLE, CONGRESS HAS ‘MORAL RESPONSIBILITY’ ON GUN CONTROL" -- Good grief...How in the world can Pelosi talk about anyone else's "Moral Responsibility" when she has none of her own? OObamaCRAP was passed because Pelosi did not take "moral responsibilty" to have it read beofre voting on it, and surely, she abrogated her "maral responsibility" of making sure her own district followed the laws of the land rather than becoming a "Sanctuary City" that created the atmosphere that cost Kate Steinle her life.
---
What is the difference between the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Kate Steinle? Sure, one was a white female and two were black males, but they all died of bullets, so race/gender should not be "the difference"... but it seems like one of those IS the difference..at least as far as the DOJ and White House are concerned.. Where's Lynch? Where's Obamageddon? They were " Johnny on the spot" when white males shot black males...even though both white males were defending themselves after being attacked. On the other hand, an illegal alien, multi-convicted felon approached, shot, and killed a random unarmed person and the DOJ and Obamageddon have ducked out oth back doors if their offices.
---
You know...Obamageddon stated that if he had a son, he'd look like Trayvon Martin.... hmmmm..as I recall, Obamageddon's mother was white, so why hasn't Obamageddon mentioned that he could have a daughter who looks like Kate Steinle?

---
You know...those 200 or so liberal "Sanctuary Cities".. can't you imagine they would extend concealing illegal aliens belonging to ISIS as well? No.no.no..don't try to explain " that would be different"... to not do so would be ethnic or religious profiling which is even a more touchy situation with liberals.

---
Why is the media, both conservative and "mainscream", still calling the murderer if the woman in San Francisco an " illegal alien"? The SOB is a felonious criminal that the City of San Francisco aided & abetted, and protected!

---
Online story: "More than two dozen Democrats have proposed legislation that would eliminate the words "husband" and "wife" from federal law." -- Good grief.. let's organize our own group of husbands and wives and submit proposed legislation that would eliminate "Democrats" from Congress.

---
If the message Trump has delivered isn't "good for the Republican Party" may be more revealing that some if the naysayers are not so "good for the Party" either. Let voter response determine what is "good for the Party"..

---
L-E headline: "State lists 7 Muscogee County Title I schools among worst performing" -- A couple of thoughts.. we do not need the classroom space, so why spend $56, 000,000.00 prolonging the agony of Spencer High? and secondly, how can Lewis suggest spending tax dollars on swimming lessons rather than using in the classrooms? Why should we believe Lewis is concerned about kids drowning in water when he has no concern about students drowning in MCSD "red tape" or apathy?

---
L-E story: "It appears that a federal whistle-blower suit related to allegations of wrongdoing at the John B. Amos Cancer Center has been settled without a trial, according to court documents filed this month. * Former John B. Amos Cancer Center top administrator Richard Barker alleged that the cancer center and its physicians — ******************** — repeatedly and knowingly overbilled government insurers." -- "settled"? Wait a minute! We don't need this to be "settled"! It needs to be aired publicly so we all know what was going on, and have the knowledge to make sure it doesn't continue as soon as the case disappears into some "sealed file"!

---
From the "who is this guy?" department - L-E story: "Pope Francis denounced the “throwaway” culture of today’s society that discards anyone who is unproductive," -- "cultue of today's societythat discard anyone who is unproductive"? -- Obviously Poop Francis has not read the Democratic Party mantra or campaign platform or entitlement agenda...

---
Archeologists and other scientists are quick to point out that alligators/crocodiles are pretty much the same as they were in prehistoric times, yet are just as quick to claim apes evolved into modern man. It doesn't matter to them that man and ape have different numbers of chromosomes, or that there are no examples of transitional/mixed species in the world today, or that none of the various ape species shows a propensity to learn human languages.

If you hadn't noticed otherwise, there is real failure in our children's education...we have received about 20 "Thank you" notes for gifts we sent to this year's high school graduating friends of our family. Some went to local, some out-of-town; some went to private schools, some to public ( none went to any of the schools on the "fail list"), and the notes all had two things in common...they were thank you notes, and none were written in cursive.

From the "how stupid do Democrats believe businesses and other countries are" departtment - Online story: " A bipartisan framework emerged in the Senate Wednesday to overhaul the taxes paid by U.S. firms on foreign profits * It would require U.S.-based corporations to pay a one-time tax on up to $2 trillion in foreign profits that U.S. firms have parked overseas. The tax rate has not been determined, but it would be considerably less than the 35 percent corporate income tax rate currently in effect, according to the plan. * the plan would allow U.S. corporations to exempt more of their foreign profits from U.S. taxes." -- You know, by the time Congress gets a plan that the Democrats can agree on, American companies will already have new plans from other countries to sweeten the pot to keep the profits overseas..
---
Good grief...I just learned yesterday that Sen Diane Feinstein,(D-CA) is the top Democrat on the Intelligence Committee..now I understand much better.

---
Online headline: "SC House passes bill to remove Confederate flag" -- And "alakazam", "presto chango", SC's murder rate will go to zero! Well, at least in the mind of "mainscream media" and libs.

---
Have you noticed that Hillewinsky has sorta ditched her favorite "blue" pantsuits/tops for a red ones lately? I guess compared to Bernie Sanders, she does sorta feel more conservative...

---
Online story: "Baltimore's mayor fired the troubled city's police commissioner Wednesday, saying that a recent spike in homicides in the weeks after an unarmed black man died of injuries in police custody required a change in leadership." -- "required a change in leadership"? Good grief... she was partially correct..she just should have fired herself .

---
Online headline: "North Korean leader has executed 70 officials" -- Hmmm,, anyone know when Bill Clinton and Dennis Rodman are scheduled for return trips?

---
Online headline: "Iran nuke talks lurch toward (another) deadline" -- "another deadline"? You know, the purpose of a "ultimatum" (or a line in the sand, for that matter) is to inform the other side in a negotiation that any agreement, and concession, must be agreed to by a certain day/time or it's "off the table". Failure to enforce an ultimatum weakens the side that makes it. When's Obamageddon going to make an "Apology Tour" to the American people?

---
During the week preceding July 4th, my neighborhood had garbage picked up 3... that's right, THREE times. The usual Monday, the holiday scheduled replacement day of Wednesday (which most of my neighbors didn't understand), but we also got pick up on Thursday (which is the other "normally scheduled" day).. Somebody in the City got a phone call, and special treatment was made. Why wasn't this addressed in Council on Tuesday? Why wasn't this brought to task by the L-E, WRBL and WTVM as they were notified of what occurred before the Tuesday Council meeting?

---
Soapbox moment: You know.. Latinos have just become the number one ethnic group in California's population. What could prove ironic is the possibility that Donald Trump could become the politician of choice in California, as Latino voters.. actual American citizens... become more in tune with the dangers criminal border crossers bring into their lives as well. The arrogant shooting death in San Francisco cannot be ignored, or swept under the carpet as "mainscream media" and the Democrats have gotten away with in the past.

---
Online headline: "Tom Selleck accused of public water theft" -- Wow.. but isn't the timing good.. Selleck now qualifies as having a double minority status.. being a male.. and white...Guess he's entitled to the same legal laxities that other double minorities are enjoying.

---
Online story: "(The illegal and felonious criminal who shot Kate Steinle) pleaded not guilty Tuesday to murder and weapons charges. His bail was set at $5 million. * Flanked by several public defenders and a translator, he seemed to struggle to understand what was going on in court, answering the judge's questions about court dates by repeating that he was not guilty." -- "flanked by SEVERAL public defenders and a translator"? Wait a minute, being guaranteed.. furnished ....legal counsel is one thing, but taxpayers paying for a team of lawyers is another... what are all the lawyers doing... lining for book and movie rights?

---
Online headline/story: "Investigation finds asbestos in kids' toys and crayons * According to the investigation report "The tests found asbestos in four of the 28 boxes of crayons tested, several marketed under the names of popular fantasy characters Mickey Mouse, Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. * The label of the crayons and toys stated that they were originally made in China and imported to the U.S. * Time reached out to some of the distributors of such products containing asbestos and Toys "R" Us was the only one that replied saying that they are: "reviewing the referenced report, along with supplier test reports, to ensure full compliance to our strict safety standards."" -- Good grief... wonder how much in Chinese donations to the Clinton Foundations it took to get crayon inspections relaxed at customs? You know.. there's a line crossed that cannot be tolerated.. our children and grandchildren are under direct attack when poison can be mixed into crayons. We beam as we see our children and grandchildren clutch crayons in their little fingers and begin to express themselves on paper.. this a an all out assault when toxins are camouflaged under classic children's iconic attractions and sold in toy stores!

---
Online story: "A******'s Italian Restaurant in Wheat Ridge, CO said Tuesday it will implement a no-tipping policy and instead add a 20 percent service charge to bills beginning July 20. * The restaurant, at 3244 Youngfield St., said the service fee will be for payroll and benefits, and will go toward raises for the staff." -- Good grief.. you know.. this is a questionably legal, probably illegal, tax dodge for underreporting revenues and sales taxes. To boot, it undermines the incentives that a superior waitstaffer has for generating income that reflects their individual efforts.. it's a case of attempted redistribution. I understand there being a prefigured "tip" when a large party sits down at a table where several waitstaffers are involved, but I will not be a customer of a restaurant (or other "service" businesses) that adopt this.

---
Some one-hit-wonder, (_*_)riana Gr(_*_)nde, was caught on video licking donuts but not paying for them. * In the same video, which was posted by TMZ on Tuesday, also shows Grande blurting out “What the f--k is that? I hate Americans. I hate America." " -- Hmmm.. and she "apologized" which "mainscream media" quickly accepted.. I have a question for "mainscream media"... Howe come you are so quick to accept an apology from someone who's gotten rich for herselfoff the America but condemns Amerca, yet when Donald Trump, who has thrived and created jobs and opportunities for 1000s and stands up for America, you cannot forgive him?

---
Online headline/story: "Gowdy counters Clinton claim she 'never had a subpoena,' reveals document * House Republicans investigating the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya on Wednesday released a March subpoena issued to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, one day after she said in a nationally televised interview that she "never had a subpoena" in the email controversy. * Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., chairman of the Benghazi panel, said he had "no choice" but to make the subpoena public "in order to correct the inaccuracy" of Clinton's claim." -- Hmmmm.. this raises another question.. as accustomed as we are to knowing Hillewinsky lies about everything, why didn't she answer the question about whether the Confederate Flag designed "Clinton-Gore" campaign pin from 1992 was an "official" pin? The fact she said nothing when we expected a probable denial just mystifies the situation.. my guess is that someone has a picture negative showing her with/wearing one.

---
From the "be careful what you wish for" department - Online story: "The state of Georgia is asking an appeals court to reverse a lower court's ruling that the state's refusal to let a Ku Klux Klan group participate in a highway cleanup program violated the organization's right to free speech." -- Good grief.. the legitimate Confederate heritage groups have now been vilified for wanting to honor their ancestors, but an acknowledged hate group that abuses the Confederate honor and memory get government approval to flaunt itself in the future.. go figure...

---
Soapbox Moment - Online story: "The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) released its list of schools that exhibit the greatest need for additional support as part of its Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) waiver. * The GaDOE lists “Priority Schools,” which are among the lowest five percent of Title I schools in terms of academic achievement" -- Hmmm.. Jordan and Spencer made this list.. again.., and rather than focus on improving them, Dr. Lewis has proposed to spend money on teaching kindergartners to swim. It also brings up a more sensitive discussion.. we really don't need all the high schools we have.. there are enough classrooms through the MCSD system to realign student assignments (and heaven knows we have enough buses to move them about!) and shutdown unnecessary schools, and forego building another "New Spencer". Who are we kidding.. do you think continuing the Spencer name along with the disastrous educational record since Dr Spencer's death really "honors him"? I don't think so, and that would mean a minimum of $56,000,000.00 of the SPLOST could be eliminated and returned to the pockets of the taxpayers who would have that money to spend in the local economy.
---
L-E headline: "Fort Benning expected to lose 3,400 soldiers in new round of Army cuts" -- Hmmmm, guess this means a new Spencer High status changes from we really don't need it to we definitely won't need it.
---
One of our BCers made a good counter point concerning MCSD Superintendent Lewis' and the Columbus L-E's contention that learning to swim would be a good public safety gift . He suggested learning to shoot a gun would be even a better public safety gift to learn, but he, and I, are skeptical about that getting on the MCSB agenda.
---
L-E headline: "Roy Bourgeois avoids prison for El Salvador embassy sit-in" -- Roy B**********S doesn't deserve the attention the L-E gives him...
---
So Congress has voted not to sell or display Confederate flags/merchandise at National Parks. Guess Congress pretty much effectively has closed Ft Sumter National Park since the Ft was bombarded to start the Civil War, and since this was one of the two defining events in the history of Ft Sumter (first, losing it to the South, and second, losing the battle to retake it from the South), there is no reason to keep NPS status for Ft Sumter.
---
Online headline: "Pope Francis Says You’re NOT Christian if You Own a Gun" -- Well, there h=goes Poop Francis.. again.. I guess he feels that since Mother Mary didn't own one, ownership of a gun must be anti-Christian.. Hey, Poop Francis, Mother Mary didn't ride around in a "Poop-mobile", either,, does that make you a non-Christian?
---
L-E story: "U.S. consumer borrowing climbed to a record high in May, propelled by a surge in auto and student loans. * Consumer borrowing increased $16.1 billion following a gain of $21.4 billion in April, the Federal Reserve reported Wednesday. The April increase had been the strongest monthly increase since July 2014." -- You know, when short term borrowing increases and retail sales don't, that means consumers are basically trying to make ends meet on their credit cards, and are destroying their chances to recover economically in the near time future.

Online headline: "Fed's gun used in San Francisco pier slaying" -- Hmmm... "fast and furious"?

From above online story: "Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton told CNN that San Francisco was wrong to ignore the ICE detainer request and release Sanchez from custody. * "The city made a mistake, not to deport someone that the federal government strongly felt should be deported," Clinton said. "So I have absolutely no support for a city that ignores the strong evidence that should be acted on." -- "no support for a city that ignores strong evidence"? Whatta liar! Hillewinsky certainly has no track record for supporting Washington's strong evidence about her Benghazi fiasco or erasing her e-mails. and her re-flip-flop on the immigration... she was for it before she was against it, and now for it again. What'll she "be" when campaigning in California for primary votes?
---
Online story: "In what many law enforcement officers are calling "chutzpah in the first degree," President Barack Obama and his White House on Monday defended current unilateral immigration policies and blamed the nation's Republicans for the killing of a San Francisco woman by an illegal alien suspect who took advantage of a Sanctuary City policy embraced by the ultra-liberal local politicians." -- Good grief.. even Hillewinsky isn't blaming Republicans for this!
---
L-E headline: "Clinton jabs Republican field on immigration policy" -- Oooops.. my bad.. forgot Hillewinsky can say one thing to mainscream media then contradict herself in a CNN story because she can go on record at CNN and the rest of the world won't see it.

---
From above story: "S(_*_)nchez pleaded not guilty Tuesday to first-degree murder.
He told two television stations who interviewed him in jail that he found the gun used in Steinle's killing wrapped in a shirt on the pedestrian pier she was walking on.* S(_*_)nchez said the gun went off in his hands, and his public defender, Matt Gonzalez, said Tuesday that the San Francisco woman's death appeared accidental." "went off in his hand"? ..."appeared to be accidental"? You know.. even if "it" went off in his hands", of course a gun that is fired ":goes off in your hand"; but pulling a trigger is not accidental...
---
Illegal aliens who commit felonies should be handled by the DOJ..The San Francisco murdering alien fell into this category, but didn't do so..the DOJ seems to more interested in undermining the authority, respect and support of police officers. How could the DOJ not step in when cities' stopped obeying federal immigration laws?
---
Online story: "Baltimore police say four people have been shot, three fatally, near the University of Maryland, Baltimore, campus. * A statement on the school's website says campus police reported that two gunmen, each in a van, pulled over near a group of people, got out and began firing, striking the four individuals." -- Guess Baltimore's Mayor gave these two "space to destroy", too.

---
Online headline: "EU gives Greece until Sunday to stave off collapse" -- Hmmm sounds like EU has called Greek PM Alexis Tsipras's bet. Rumor has it Obamageddon laughed, but then the EU said, "whatcha laughing at, you're next".

---
Cosby.....tried to support him, but that's over now.....and no one is better off. I'm sad..

---
Online headline: "Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders can sure pack 'em in. He recently drew a crowd of 10,000 in Madison, Wisconsin, and another 7,500 this week in Portland, Maine." -- You know... this is Hillewinsky's worst nightmare... her having to be compared to the promises of an out-of-the-closet socialist when she's trying to avoid revealing her true self.
---
Online headline: "Bernie Sanders Blames Cancer in Women on Lack of Orgasms" -- Hmmm,,, is he suggesting he has a plan to redistribute those as well?

---
Online headline: "Report: US Army plans to downsize over next 2 years * The Pentagon plans to cut 40,000 troops, according to a report out Tuesday, as it looks to absorb a $1 trillion reduction in defense spending." -- This is a wake up call to conservatives, especially independents, to end Obamageddon and Clinton control of the White House. 9-11-01 followed the last major military downsizing by Clinton, and it took 18 months of Bush43's efforts for the military to regain its strength to retaliate. Can you not hear Iran, Russia, China and ISIS drooling in anticipation?

---
Online headline: "US raises concern over detention of activists in Cuba * The State Dept. said Tuesday the detention of some 100 peaceful activists in Cuba was 'concerning,' as the two countries seek to mend ties." -- Huh? Well what about Cuba's RETENTION of cop killing ASSata Shakur?

---
Online headline: " The man accused of killing nine people attending Bible study at a historic black church in Charleston has been indicted on three new charges of attempted murder, prosecutors said Tuesday." -- Good grief.. like the DA's office doesn't have nine counts of "successful" murder deaths to work with?

---
The New York Times says "birth control costs" have dropped because of OOBamaCRAP...Good grief.. out-of-pocket reductions and lower co-pay may mean lower "birth control costs" to the NYT, but pharmaceutical companies are getting as much or more than before., and insurance premium costs have risen, so what's the NYT source of savings?
---
Dueling headline: "NYT: Why, It Looks Like Obamacare is Causing Massive Rate Hikes" -- C'mon, NYT.. which is it... lower birth control costs or "massive rate hikes"?

---
Can't lump them all together , but the Popeye's Louisiana Restaurant at River Road and Manchester Expressway is not on my list to return to.. The two times I stopped there, the food I was given looked nothing like the food that was advertised. In fact, the second time, the food I was given wasn't even what I ordered. Now, Popeye's is advertising two if my favorites.. Fried shrimp and Hush Puppies.. Uh-uh...I an not even tempted....I even hate to think how awful Popeye's can make it look compared to the ads.

---
Online headline: "Obama: ISIS Will "Not Be Defeated with Guns" But By "Better Ideas" -- Huh? Seriously? And where does Obamageddon plan to find those better "ideas"? It's obvious he doesn't know how to generate such, and he has never appointed any advisor who knows more than him, and he certainly isn't going to be brainstorming with Republicans.
---
You know, Donald Trump has the right idea...erect a proper fence at the Mexican border, and hire Mexicans to construct it under US military supervision. It will be cheaper in the long run.
---
Online news story: "Columbus, Ga. Mayor Teresa Pike Tomlinson, a prominent opponent of plans to close Sweet Briar College, is now the new chairwoman of the college’s board of directors." -- Good grief.. why would a school who's previous board was trying to close it based on financial issues reorganize with a new Chairwoman who hasn't ever balanced a budget based on incoming revenues or initiated a project that has positive cash flow?
---
I'm really confused at why the MCSB supports David Lewis.. with 10 schools chronically on the "fail" list, Lewis has come up with a plan to spend money on an irrelevant school issue like swimming lessons, but offers nothing to improve the "school failures".
---
L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTRY SCHOOL BOARD * Myers accuses board of conducting illegal meeting, vote" -- Thank goodness we have two new board members who are doing exactly what board members are suppose to do.. monitor the School Administration, and protect the interests of the students and taxpayers.. We need at least 3 more we can count on.
---
L-E Editorial: Swim lessons a public safety gift for families * As of this writing, the Muscogee County School Board was scheduled to discuss a proposed pilot program of swimming lessons for kindergarteners at Tuesday afternoon’s work session. Formal vote on the proposal would be at the next regular monthly meeting on July 20. * Here’s hoping Tuesday’s discussion of Superintendent David Lewis’ recommendation turns out to have been short and affirmative, because from here it looks like a no-brainer." -- "from here looks like a no-brainer"? Good grief..what looks like a "no-brainer" is this editorial! 10 schools are chronically failing, there's no money available to maintain schools properly between SPLOSTs, employees (other than the administrative ones) haven't had a decent raise in nearly 10 years, and the L-E celebrates Dr Lewis' "BS" as brilliance..
---
Richard Hyatt column headline: "Bush’s return to Columbus a hot ticket" -- Yeah.. it's been a couple of more years since we've seen and heard a president who loves America, and its military.
