HuffPOOPOO headline: "And the winner of the 64th annual Miss USA is ..." -- Donald Trump!
---
From the "bias is how you present something" department - From above story: "Trump slammed Mexican immigrants during his announcement that he was running for president." -- "Trump slammed Mexican immigrants"? ... Not exactly... Trump slammed the Mexicans that slipped illegally across our borders.. there is a major difference.
---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "Diplomats: Iran announcement planned Monday" -- Good grief.. from this "headlie", you'd think we have a good deal coming .. I just hope we have the seals left after throwing the kitchen sink into the mix..
---
Online headline: "Escape by top drug lord a strong blow to Mexico's government" -- Good grief.. why wasn
El Ch(_*_)po simply executed when he was tried and convicted.. the only difference for him running his cartel from jail is he didn't get to vacation at Cozumel or Cabo..
---
Online headline: "Scientists warn 'mini ice age' could bring deep freeze in 15 years * Researchers in the U.K. have determined the earth is closer than you think to experiencing something that hasn't happened in 300 years" -- Hey, Algore... the UK has a home for you!
---
From above story: "So what does that mean for us? Pretty much what you'd expect. * Bitter cold winters — cold enough to freeze River Thames in England, which is exactly what happened when the last "mini ice age" hit between 1645 and 1715." -- Hmmm... "the last "mini ice age" hit between 1645 and 1715"...that was during the time of English colonization of America.. anyone remember what "big oil" companies and which car manufacturers were open then?
---
Online headline/story: "Teachers' union endorses Clinton * Hillary Rodham Clinton has won the endorsement of the American Federation of Teachers. It's the first major labor union to make an endorsement in the 2016 presidential campaign. * Randi Weingarten, the president of the union, says in a statement Saturday that Clinton is the "champion working families need in the White House." * The endorsement was widely expected. The teachers' union supported Clinton's primary campaign in 2008 and Weingarten is a longtime Clinton ally." -- Good grief.. why was this newsworthy? The only thing it shows is the AFT must be racist is that it endorse Hillewinsky in 2008 rather than Obamageddon...
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Tablet to connect inmates to the outside world * A new gadget created by JPay aims to abide prison security standards and allow prisoners to download games and educational apps" -- Good grief! why not just give prisoners weekend passes to hit the streets! It's bad enough that families can buy "phone plans" from JPay and have daily phone/e-mail contact with prisoners... this sorta defeats the effect of separation as a deterrent.
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "54 Stingrays Die At Chicago Zoo" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought this might have been a gang related retaliation..
---
Instant repeat - HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "54 Stingrays Die At Chicago Zoo * Chicago Brookfield Zoo says 50 cownose rays and four southern stingrays died after sudden drop in oxygen." -- "four southern stingrays.. Hmmm.. possibly just an out-of-control of all things Southern purge gone wrong?
---
HuffPOOPOO story: "Starbucks on Monday will announce a major new jobs program designed to combat youth unemployment, * In a statement, Labor Secretary Tom Perez praised the companies' efforts to engage young people. * “In America, your ZIP code should never determine your destiny. " -- "your ZIP code should never determine your destiny"? Good grief.. not a good analogy...Zip Codes have never worked well for the Post Office..
---
From above story: "While overall job growth is fairly robust and the unemployment rate has reached a seven-year low of 5.3 percent, youth unemployment remains high. As of June, the unemployment rate for people ages 16-19 was 18.1 percent, amounting to more than 1 million unemployed youth." -- You know.. one of the reasons.. probably the MAIN reason the Youth Unemployment number look higher that the overall unemployment number doesn't count the number of unemployed who are not looking for work.. The 18.1% figure is probably closer to reality for then overall unemployment figure.

Random thought: Just sitting here marveling at the elation that overcomes me when just thinkig about my granddaughter coming to visit.. You know, every grown up should be required to have an annual two week period of reversion to age 3.. if every body could bring two weeks of joy to the world like my granddaughter does daily, the world would indeed be a better place.

Just thinking about the 130' high netting barriers being built on University Boulevard has triggered an old remembrance... Remember when the Columbus Airport "condemned" at the houses and trees any where near the flight paths of the airport... and removed them through the power of "eminent domain"? I'm gonna bet there wasn't a tree (or house, for that matter) over 40 ft high, and now a state entity is building 130' flight impediments on CSU property.

L-E story: " The first-ever Bob Wright Symposium on Business Empowerment has landed Aflac Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dan Amos as its lunch keynote speaker. * Amos heads a Fortune 500 supplemental health and life insurance firm founded by his father and two uncles in 1955. Doing business in the United States and Japan, it has grown to annual revenues of nearly $23 billion in 2014. Aflac was recognized by Black Enterprise Magazine earlier this year for its workforce diversity. " -- Well, Black Enterprise Magazine certainly cannot recognize the Bob Wright Symposium on Business Empowerment for an award on its diversity....
---
You know.. the purge of "anything Southern" has it's own backlash... instead of burying the past, digging it up only brings it back to the forefront..
---
L-E story: "Learn water safety during kid-friendly event at Waveshaper Island * Join Outside World Outfitters at Waveshaper Island for a kid-friendly evening of water safety, 7-8 p.m. Wednesday. * Children must be able to swim in order to attend." -- "must be able to swim"? Well, that certainly doesn't sound very inclusive!
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Back of every mistaken venture and defeat is the laughter of wisdom, if you listen.” - Carl Sandburg, American writer (1878-1967)." -- Man, hasn't this one been sunk by political correctness, and the Democratic Party mantra....We should be laughing and wiser but it would be overruled by the Supreme Court...
---
You know... the Bill Cosby saga would be taking a different path had he been a liberal... mainscream media would be in tears at him being a victim...
---
I remember the days that it took an Act of Williamsport or Tampa for a Little League game to be played on a Sunday...who says "change" is always progress....
