Online headline/story: "Feds don't want El Chapo's jury to hear about botched 'Fast and Furious' sting that let guns flow over border * In a new motion filed Friday, U.S. Attorney Richard Donoghue argued defense lawyers should be banned from asking questions about the former program in which federal agents allowed illegal weapons to flow over the border to Mexico as part of a larger investigation. * A high-powered .50 caliber rifle tied to “Fast and Furious” was later found at a hideout used by El Chapo in 2016. * “The defense is attempting to use the well-known operation to place the government on trial,” he continued. “While the government will seek to introduce at trial seized weapons that had been identified by ATF agents within the scope of the Operation, any details about the Operation itself are completely irrelevant to the issues at trial.” -- Good grief.. except for the quick mention of 2016 when one of the guns was found at El Chapo's 'hideout', MSM-13 has made it's best effort not to mention Obama and Holder's involvement in "fast and furious"..

---
You know.. the main reason Pelosi and Schumer do not want "the Wall" is to keep Trump from keeping his promise to America and campaigning about it in 2020. The fact that "the Wall" would also make it safer in America, and "the Wall" would actually save $100,000,000,000.00 plus tax dollars ANNUALLY make no sense to either of them.

I just saw a picture of the uniform the Seattle Seahawks wore on Sunday.. they looked like seasick minions..

---
From the "I must have missed this" department -- Online headline.story: "Anthony Weiner to be released from prison early * Weiner was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison, and reported to prison November 6, 2017. He is currently located at FMC Devens in Massachusetts. * His prison term of 21 months would have ended in August 2019, and this new release date is now set for May 14, 2019, according to the website. * "This projected release date includes credit for good conduct time earned and good conduct time that may be earned throughout the remainder of his sentence," read a statement from the Bureau of Prisons to CNN." -- This ran about two months ago, but I didn't find it until today when I saw an item about Hellary and Huma Abedin going to India together for a wedding.. and I wondered what had become of "Carlos Danger". Now.. why is he being released early for good behavior? In my book, it looks like it's taken prison to get Weiner to behave better so why let him out at all!

---
Comey is an enigma (well, he's an enema, too) ... as the Director of the FBI he chose not to hold Hellary.. and for that matter..Obama , accountable , yet, feels the American people should hold Trump accountable. Seems to me, the American people already chose Trump as more accountable than Hellary or any other Democrat possibility.

---
Online story: "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez promises that going green – removing all fossil fuels from our energy mix – will “establish economic, social and racial justice in the United States.” -- Hmmm... maybe we need a new protest group, "Black Oil Matters"..

---
From the "be careful what you wish for" department - Online headline: "DNC Chair Complains That Voters Are Influenced By The ‘Pulpit On Sunday‘" -- Good grief! I've never heard my preacher stand at the pulpit and voice his political opinion on political issues, nor has my church invited political candidates to address the members, not organize voting rides to the polls in church vehicles. It's not that my preacher and church are not influenced at the polls by Christian values, but our church felt threatened by the Obama administration's threat to revoke the tax exemption of our donations. On the other hand, I've seen/heard national and local politicians openly address congregations in churches who advocate segregation.

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "W.C. Bradley Company planning indoor food court near the river in downtown Columbus * “We have a building back there that we are in the very early stages of trying to design a pretty interesting dining concept,” Pace Halter, president of W.C. Bradley’s Real Estate Division, said Monday of the indoor food court on Bay Avenue." -- Hmmm... sounds like a lot of existing food merchants in uptown will get cannibalized by their original or current landlords. Oh.. and where was Mayor Tom-LYING-son.. Mayor-2-b Skip, too..... the photo-op didn't have either in it.. which is sorta strange.

---
Well the 34th ( not counting a couple of still-pending situations) murder happened Sunday here in Columbus. Looks like there'll be no dip from last year Mayor Tom-LYING-son is hoping for so she can claim that crime dropped in her last year as she kicks off her Senate run. It also looks like another shot was taken...by the Dragonfly Trail where this murder happened...what needed a shot-in-the-arm just took a shot in the arse.

---
What is it with MSM-13 and (_@_) Democrats? Some of the Dems are ranting about Trump serving jail time, and too many MSM-13ers run with it like it's real news...and we...and they...KNOW it ain't gonna happen... there's simply nothing there!

---
With all the previously reported tweets and reports of past LGBTQ slurs by celebrities, why does the Oklahoma Heisman winner believe his apologies will be accepted when no one else's have been?

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Cashiers accused of selling alcohol to minors in undercover operation in Columbus * Nine cashiers at establishments where alcohol is sold were arrested after selling alcohol to minors in an undercover investigation Saturday by the Columbus Police Department." -- Hmmm.. a one day operation and 9 different liquor outlets were caught not using the right-in-front-of-them driver's license verifying machine. he only reason I can see for not checking ages is that the store personnel pretty much knew the buyers were under-aged..heck.. if I go to my grocery store an pick up a 6-pack occasionally, the cashiers ask for my ID.. heck, they ask for my ID if I but Nyquil.. and I'm 71 years old (though I probably don't look a day over 70).

---
From the "it takes more than lemons to make lemonade" department - Good grief...Democrat spinmeisters are still trying to convince their base that Trump had horrible election results yet losing 66 Democrat House members and six Senate members in Obama's first midterm election was much worse than Republicans losing 40 House seats and GAINING two Senate seats and increasing the Senate majority.

---
M/C L-E headline: "U.S. job openings rebounded in October, exceeding the number of unemployed workers by 1 million, indicating demand for workers was strong before November’s slowdown in payroll gains." -- Hmmm... I guess when some people heard Obama say that many jobs would never return, some people thought he said they would never have to get another job... it, sadly, also shows that public education has not prepared graduates to be ready for college or the job market...

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Kavanaugh joins liberals, Roberts to reject case dealing with abortion * After weeks of debate behind closed doors, a divided court turned down appeals backed by 13 conservative states that sought to defund Planned Parenthood." -- There are two basic wrongs here that are still left hanging... One.. the government should not use tax dollars to pay for abortions..specially as a form of birth control. Government interest should be limited to medical issues, and infanticide of "partial birth abortions". The 2nd wrong is for making.. and not correcting.. abortions as a legal issue for the courts to rule/control.. whether women.. or couples are right or wrong, it's a moral issue, and something that individuals/couples need to take up in their relationship with God. God determines His grace and mercy by how we lead our lives..

From the "let's reword this and get to the truth" department - HuffPOOPOO story: "James Comey, the former director of the FBI, speculated Sunday that if President Donald Trump weren’t the leader of the country he’d be “in serious jeopardy of being charged” as part of the government’s sweeping indictments of the lawyer Michael Cohen." -- Hmmm.. you know, if Comey hadn't been doing the wishes of Obama and Hellary, Comey would have been arrested BEFORE Trump won.

---
From the "Making America Great Again" department - Online headline/story: "President Trump reportedly approves $750BN defense budget after telling departments to cut spending * In October, Trump floated a $700 billion defense budget, which was in line with government-wide belt-tightening, and ordered all department heads to slash their budgets by 5% for 2020. * The President gave the go-ahead to Defense Secretary Jim Mattis to submit a $750 billion budget proposal for fiscal year 2020" -- Whatta masterful efficiency ploy! Tell the Defense Department to cut 5% to eliminate waste, then give it back with a BONUS so the Defense Department could get more of what it really needs! Trump 2020!

---
From the "it's not one world" department - Online headline/story: "Transcript of audio recording from Jamal Khashoggi's murder reportedly describes him gasping for air in his last moments * A source, who was briefed on the investigation and read a translated transcript of the recording from the October 2 killing, told CNN that the audio suggests a carefully planned execution, and not a botched interrogation as previously touted by the Saudis. * The transcript also describes "sawing" and "cutting" that can be heard on the audio tape along with the screaming. " -- And mainscream media (a.k.a. MSM-13) and Pelosi and Schumer were upset at Trump's immigration ban on multiple Muslim countries and horrified at terrorists held at Guantanamo were subjected to "water boarding".

---
From the fire him and send him to "sensitivity school" department - Online story: "About 300,000 people in the U.S. southeast were without power on Monday and hundreds of flights were canceled after a storm dumped 20 inches of snow and left one motorist dead.
* "This remains a dangerous system even as it moves off the coast," said lead NWS forecaster Michael Schichtel. "It's slow to move off the Carolinas but a saving grace is that it won't hit New England." -- "saving grace that it won't hit New England"! Whatta liberal SNOB and (_@_)!

---
From the "maybe it's not poverty that's the determining factor" department - Online story: "1. Irvine, California
> Violent crimes per 100,000: 61.2
> 2017 murders: 2
> Poverty rate: 12.7%
> 2017 unemployment rate: 3.4%

There were just 169 violent crimes in Irvine, California — a city of over a quarter million people — in 2017. Adjusted for the population, the city’s violent crime rate of 61 incidents per 100,000 residents is the lowest of any city tracked by the FBI.
Like other safe cities, Irvine’s job market is strong. The city’s annual unemployment rate of 3.4% " -- Hmmm... 2 murders, unemployment rate of 3.4%, poverty rate of 12.7%.. must be some other factor .. perhaps Irvine, CA has better political leadership than Columbus...

---
Surely, by now, there is some sort of description the public can be told about the assailant of Fish House Gang dinner attendee Dan Parker..

---
Did you hear that? The cha-ching as wage growth moved upwards...and Obama..when he said...what's that noise?

---
I hope everyone caught the National Anthem sung before Saturday's Army-Navy game in Philadelphia... and also noted none of the players, students, cheerleaders, or alumni knelt in protest.

---
James Comey had one job...to know how investigations are started and ended. How come he's answered some 200 questions with "I don't know" and "I don't recall".

---
You know, the original River Road Roundabout after being proposed in 2012, and was suppose to be built in 2014 with $1.5 MILLION in "state funds", but it's now finally under construction,, well under pre-construction, and it's going to cost $4,6 MILLION out of Columbus funds.

---
A lot of action has been seen at the River Road Roundabout site in the last two weeks.. tree areas stripped, big machinery dropped off to look like a rental company, huge amounts of sand, gravel, drainage pipes, and #10 Screenings to make it look like a landscaping supply company, added to the plethora of orange barrels.. and after 8 weeks.. that's it... after 1/13th period of a $4.6 million budget ($over $353K).

Oh, and other "unfinished bidness" in Columbus.. still no accountability for the Mayor's wreck, still not sure whether the man pulled out of the river in August was murdered or not, and it's now 30 weeks since Zeph Baker promised to turn in his Campaign Disclosures prior to the May 22 election date. Speaking of Zeph Baker.. does ANYONE have a clue as to where he rests his head at night?

---
Online story: "Comey also used the occasion to take aim at Trump's public barbs at the criminal justice system, saying "we have become numb to lying and attacks on the rule of law by the president," and Trump's suggestion that it should be a crime for subjects to "flip" and cooperate with investigators. * It's a shocking suggestion coming from any senior official, no less the president. It's a critical and legitimate part of the entire justice system in the United States," Comey said." -- What a warped sense of power has evolved with the politics of government! Trump was elected by the people and is doing what he promised the people he would do...Comey. on the other hand, was appointed by a president, and was doing what the president wanted. The FBI should be the guardian of our country's laws, not the President's "people".

---
Online headline: "Oklahoma's Kyler Murray beats out Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa to win Heisman Trophy" -- Hmmm... well, the Heisman Committee has pretty much neutered itself, and it's future if Oklahoma doesn't beat Alabama in the opening round of the Championship series...

---
Online headline/story: "Trump slams Macron's idea of a 'real European army' * “The idea of a European Military didn’t work out too well in W.W. I or 2. But the U.S. was there for you, and always will be. All we ask is that you pay your fair share of NATO. Germany is paying 1% while the U.S. pays 4.3% of a much larger GDP – to protect Europe. Fairness!” he wrote on Twitter. * Trump tweeted about the matter last month as well.* “Emmanuel Macron suggests building its own army to protect Europe against the U.S., China and Russia. But it was Germany in World Wars One & Two – How did that work out for France? They were starting to learn German in Paris before the U.S. came along. Pay for NATO or not!” Trump wrote." -- Trump 2020!

---
Online headline: "Cruelty of El Chapo's Sinaloa cartel knows no bounds: Beheadings by chainsaw, body parts strewn in the streets" -- And Democrats feel that we don't need "the WALL"! They are SICK!

---
We watch a lot of Hallmark movies...a lot of people do also...now...especially during the season of snowy Christmas movies. Now, why don't we 'see' their breath when they are outside and talking, or the exhaust from cars?

---
Looks like ObamaCRAP will die on it's own lack of merit since the fine has been eliminated. Several million fewer than expected (well, by dubiously informed Democrats) have enrolled in ObamaCRAP. Just shows how far Democrats went to try to convince MSM-13 that it was popular.

---
You know.. if we speak up loud enough, we do get the number of murders reported in Columbus, but what we don't get is the number of shootings/murder attempts that happen, too. The combined totals would be sobering...

---
Columbus Council Agenda: "First reading - An ordinance amending Section 4-63 of the Columbus Code to provide that the Columbus Aquatics Commission will meet bimonthly instead of monthly; and for other purposes. (Mayor Pro-Tem Pugh)" - You know... I've found that when a commission wants to lessen the number of meetings it's because of two things.. frustration with results, or frustration with results... I imagine the commission wants to meet less is that it's frustrated with results and see no path for improvement...

Columbus Council Agenda: ACCEPTANCE OF STATE FARMERS MARKER PROPERTY LOCATED AT 318 10TH AVENUE: Approval is requested to accept the property located at 318 10th Ave. from the state of Georgia and also to submit an EPA grant for up to $500,000 and if approved, accept and amend the Multi-Governmental Fund for the awarded amount. The property is an abandoned Farmers Market owned by the state of Georgia. The state of Georgia wishes to quit claim these properties to the Columbus Consolidated Government. On Dec. 1, 2017, the city received a letter from the Riverdale-Porterdale Cemetery Foundation Inc. requesting that we partner with them in acquiring this property to be used as a park that would connects River-dale Cemetery to Porterdale Cemetery. They would also like to eventually construct a columbarium on the site. The letter states that the Columbus Consolidated Government will have no financial obligation for the proposed improvements which will be paid for by the foundation." -- First, just curious, so I looked up "columbarium"... A columbarium is a place for the respectful and usually public storage of cinerary urns, but can also mean the nesting boxes of pigeons. The term comes from the Latin "columba" and, originally, solely referred to compartmentalized housing for doves and pigeons called a dovecote.... seems appropriate... I am curious about who is involved with the Riverdale-Porterdale Cemetery Foundation Inc. .. and how it is funded.. seems like it could be a mighty big assumption for the Riverdale-Porterdale Cemetery Foundation Inc. to take full responsibility for all the financial obligations down the road...

---
It's bad enough the the M/C L-E benefits from Talbot County having to post a legal ad for bids in the L-E, but how come Talbot County is improving it's streets and Columbus isn't?

---
From the "bias... no ..stupid..." department - Online headline: "Court filings present Trump as key figure in multiple federal investigations" -- Good grief.. Mueller has spent the better part of 2-years and $20-$25 MILLION, and Mainscream Media feels that all-of-a-sudden Trump is the focus? Even MSM-13 must feel letdown at Mueller's filings...

---
Online headline/story: "Walmart CEO reveals why Trump's trade war with China still has him worried over rising prices * Walmart CEO Doug McMillon told CNBC that consumers will take the hit if the US trade war with China escalates." -- Good grief.. All greedy McMillon is concerned with is Walmart's "bottom line" and the EASIEST way to make himself look good! Trump has already lowered taxes (and plans another one) so American consumers have more money in their pockets. and tariffs to even-out-the-field will lower taxes additionally that we are already paying to subsidize foreign goods, and ... and... jobs are returning for MORE Americans!

---
You know.. Walmart still hadn't figured out that if all it offers is "low prices", what happens when so many of the customers cannot find jobs and have no money to spend regardless of how low prices are?

---
From the "bias... no.. really stupid" department - Online headline: "Trump voters were 'gullible' in 2016 election, NBC’s Chuck Todd says" -- 'gullible"? What liberal BS! Trump EARNED every vote by convincing Americans he would get things don.. the truly gullible people are those who ever thought Hellary was "the smartest woman in the world".

---
Online headline/story: "Paris on lockdown amid expectations of more anti-Macron clashes * Paris was on lockdown early Saturday as thousands of security officers were deployed there and in other parts of the country for potential clashes against yellow-jacketed protesters. * Shops and tourist destinations, including the Eiffel Tower, were to be closed and soccer matches were canceled as authorities looked to maintain order * Macron swept into power in 2017, having emerged out of obscurity less than a year earlier. * Macron was a missing man as his government tried to curb the chaos caused in part by his unpopular gas-tax plan." -- This is what America could have looked like if ANYONE but Trump became our President! You may quote me on this.. I will not wish for Trump to curtail or moderate his tweets anymore.. his tweets let America KNOW he is on the job.. not AWOL..fighting.. for us and for Making America Great Again!

---
Online headline/story: "James Comey will return for more Hill testimony, as Trump rips ex-FBI director * After Friday’s session concluded, the president tore into Comey amid reports Comey’s lawyers, including one from the Justice Department, have prevented him from answering a number of questions." --- "have prevented him (Comey) from answering a number of questions"? You know.. forget the 5th Amendment rights.. Comey was the head of the FBI, and any question his lawyers won't let him answer are an indictment that Comey was not adhering to FBI policies of holding everyone accountable. I'm encouraged that Trump is calling Comey out on this as well.

---
From the "Socialist approach to governance" department - Online story: "Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., blasted Donald Trump Jr. in a tweet on Friday after he posted a meme suggesting her democratic socialist ideology would cause Americans to start eating dogs. * "I have noticed that Junior here has a habit of posting nonsense about me whenever the Mueller investigation heats up," she tweeted, referring to special counsel Robert Mueller. "Please, keep it coming Jr — it's definitely a 'very, very large brain' idea to troll a member of a body that will have subpoena power in a month. Have fun!" -- Hmmm .. not even seated and already wielding a subpoena power threat she cannot keep.. Now... is there anyone in doubt of why the Founding Fathers put so much emphasis in the simplicity of the 2nd Amendment.. Jefferson warmed us that our own government with liberals in charge could be our greatest enemy...we've already hear one Democrat Congressman say he'd not hesitate to order US soldiers to attack US citizens if he didn't get his way.

---
From the "my guess is that this judge is not from District 9" department - Online headline/story: "Judge orders more fact-finding in Clinton email case * The email controversy that dogged Hillary Clinton through much of the 2016 presidential race could well be kicking around through the 2020 contest after a federal judge ordered additional fact-finding into whether Clinton’s use of the private email system was a deliberate effort to thwart the Freedom of Information Act. * In a scathing opinion issued Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth said that despite FBI, inspector general and congressional investigations into Clinton’s use of a private account for all her email traffic during her four years as secretary of state, the conservative group Judicial Watch should be permitted to demand documents and additional testimony about the practice. * He blasted Clinton’s email practices as “one of the gravest modern offenses to government transparency.” -- There's a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel! Finally, a course of justice that will not get lost in a Democrat led committee starting this January.

---
My bride and I watch a lot of Hallmark movies...a lot of people do...now...especially during the plethora of snowy Christmas movies. Now, why don't we 'see' their breath when they are outside and talking, or the exhaust from cars driving by?

Looks like ObamaCRAP will die on it's own lack of merit since the fine has been eliminated. Several million fewer than expected (well, by dubiously-informed Democrats) have enrolled in ObamaCRAP. Just shows how far Democrats went to try to convince MSM-13 that it was popular.

---
From the "show me the money" department - Online headline: "Beto O'Rourke raised $80 million total for Ted Cruz challenge, left little in bank" -- The Democrats raised $80 Million.. and spent $79.5 MILLION on Beto.. ,,, and lost.. and even that amount did little to help down-ballot Democrats in other races.. Gov. Abbott demolished his opponent 56%-43%, and Democrat midterm gain in the House was but 3..(Now there are 23 Republican House members and 13 Democrats... which would probably be the picture even if Beto had not wasted $79.5 MILLION)

---
Online headline: " Nick Saban’s revealing explanation of why he voted Georgia football No. 5" -- Good grief.. It ain't rocket science...Saban didn't want to play GA again!

---
Jessica Tarnov ..the Democrat spinmeister Fox gives too much time to, ..I'm not sure whether it's her raspy liberal "spin/mantra" that irritates me or the whiny nasal twang of her voice... regardless, the combination is not worthy of being aired, so I switch to another channel as fast as I can..

---
Since Kevin Hart had to drop out as the Oscar's host, and in only 3 months a new host has to be picked, I'm going to recommend that Robert De Niro's ex be chosen...She'd probably do it for free to get to talk to Hollywood about De Niro.

---
From the "suspicions confirmed" department- Congressman Nadler is on the record that when he takes over the House Committee investigating Comey and the Clinton's, he will "drive a stake into the heart of these investigations" Thank God Nadler cannot dismiss the Hellary actions just ruled on by Judge Royce Lamberth!

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Virginia College leaves students without a plan after suddenly closing all campuses * The school, geared toward non-traditional students and adults seeking job skills, has for years been affected by lower enrollment numbers and low job placement rates, according to letters from accreditation agencies and court records." -- Well... looks like Virginia College was a product of doom fed by too many remedial needs students, trying to learn jobs Obama had run out of America.. Too bad Virginia College could not hang on while the Trump economy was creating jobs VC grads could fill. Maybe now some older grads will finally find jobs Trump is creating.

---
From the "be sure and watch!" department - M/C headline/story: "Columbus family to star in next episode of HGTV reality series ‘House Hunters’ * Premiering at 9 p.m. EST Tuesday, the “Lighting Up the Holidays” episode will star 1995 Carver High School graduate Alida Abdullah and her husband, Shakeer, as they search for a home to accommodate them and their four children, ages 4-12. They moved from Minnesota to the Atlanta suburb of Fairburn. * Alida’s father is retired Carver football and track coach Wallace Davis, a Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame member. Davis and his wife, Ann, also appear in the episode, which includes scenes shot at the Davis home in Columbus." --Should be fun! Mark your calendars and set your iPhones alarm/alert!

---
From the "deterioration of language and definitions" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "Deputy stops pickup truck on I-85, seizes $375,000 in meth * A Troup County Sheriff’s Deputy seized 28 pounds of methamphetamine after a pickup truck driven by an illegal immigrant was stopped with an obstructed tag Thursday on Interstate 85 in LaGrange, authorities said." -- "illegal immigrant"? NO! He's an ILLEGAL ALIEN. and so are all the caravaners in Mexico from countries from the South who are trying to enter the US without following our laws and protocol!

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Trump’s former fixer should go to prison, prosecutors say * Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s former lawyer, should receive a “substantial” prison term of roughly four years, despite his cooperation, federal prosecutors in New York said Friday." -- Good grief.. Cohen should get "life" for recording his client without knowledge, and the NY Governor who signed such an invasion of privacy act into law should be his cellmate!

---
M/C L-E commentary headline: "Bugs Bunny, Mickey: Cartoon icons dominate Columbus write-in votes" -- Hmmm... and maybe the voters picked the best candidate in some of those races...at least they didn't vote for the Democrat in them.

---
M/C L-E headline: "City says Forrest Road pothole repaired" -- There's an adage that says that "The longest journey begins with a single step". Well, looks like the City has taken one step.. and one step only, of an arduous journey to make Columbus streets safe for drivers, an asset for homeowners and an attraction for businesses looking for new locations to build. (Not holding my breath for the next step).

Friday, December 7, 2018

Today is December 7... a day of infamy from 1941.. but.. as adversity so often is, a catalyst for the rebirth of American resolve and strength, and the catapult of our Greatest Generation! Take a moment of silence...

---
From the "You have to love it when Hollywood eats its own" department - Online story: "Just two days after being named host of the Academy Awards, Kevin Hart stepped down following an outcry over past homophobic tweets by the comedian." -- And to think Kevin Hart ruled his world when he trashed Trump at the VMA 4 months ago...

---
I honestly believe Trump will get more done the next two years BECAUSE Democrats won the majority of the House.. and now even Pelosi will have to get things done for Trump that she wouldn't consider when Republicans were in the Majority. Think about it...her "reputation" is more on the line, and she has to show she can "produce", because there will be no "veto override" option for her. And it won't be bi-partisan... it'll be survival...she'll have to give Trump what he wants to get anything she wants.

---
Look back at Clinton's terms.. when the Dems were the majority, little got done, but after Newt Gingrich became Speaker, great strides in welfare reform "happened", and Clinton looked good and got re-elected in '96.

---
From the "if you can't give facts. dazzle'em with BS!" department - Online story: " U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller will provide new details on Friday on how two of President Donald Trump's closest former aides have helped or hindered his investigation into possible collusion between Russia and Trump's 2016 election campaign." Of course, Mueller considers not being able to say things he wants them to say.. whether the truth or not... is a "hindrance", but the reason he's doing it today is to give Democrat-led Sunday Talk Shows some "fodder" to chew and promote as the truth before Monday.

---
You know, leftist "economists" are going to blame growth of the "Trade gap" on Trump's tariff's, but two things... called FACTS... will undermine such an implication.. First.. American companies are buying huge amounts of Chinese goods BEFORE they are "tariffed", and secondly, China has bought less soy beans.. China buying less soy beams NOW means the Chinese people will have less to eat/use of a much needed staple China cannot produce enough of, so China will have to "cave: in order to keep its citizens in line..

---
CNN headline/story: "Elizabeth Warren's Native-American heritage reveal was just as bad as you thought it was * Wrote Astead W. Herndon in The New York Times on Thursday:
"Advisers close to Ms. Warren say she has privately expressed concern that she may have damaged her relationships to Native American groups and her own standing with activists, particularly those who are racial minorities. Several outside advisers are even more worried: They say they believe a plan should be made to repair that damage, possibly including a strong statement of apology."" -- Well, what we now have to wait on is whether Harvard will rescind her professorship they gave her based on the advantage she claimed by being from Native American minority.. I believe Harvard should go after her career earnings she was paid after lying on her resume`.

---
Online headline/story: "Kamala Harris aide resigns over $400G harassment settlement * A senior adviser to U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., resigned Wednesday over inquiries about a $400,000 harassment lawsuit against him while working at the California Department of Justice." -- working for him"? What's missing is that he was WORKING FOR HER when she was the Attorney General in California..Now, what I want to know is .. WHO PAID THE $400,000.00?

---
Wow.. Sen Gillibrand, D-NY, must really be trying to curse herself... she sent out a tweet Wednesday that she already regrets: Gillibrand tweeted: "Our future is: Female. Intersectional. Powered by our belief in one another. And we’re just getting started". Donald Trump. Jr... and Marco Rubio ate her lunch in response: Trump, Jr said: "Good to know. My girls will be excited about this. When is it appropriate to let my boys (9, 7 and 6 years old) that there’s no future for them? Not sure this is a winning platform but you be you." and Rubio responded: "“Our future is: AMERICAN. An identity based not on gender, race, ethnicity or religion. But on the powerful truth that all people are created equal with a God given right to life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness,”" Looks like Gillibrand, Pocahontas-NOT, and Kamala Harris have already hoisted their 2020 aspirations on their own petards.

From the "why the death sentence isn't the deterrent it SHOULD be" department - Online story: "A convicted killer who spent more than 36 years on death row in Tennessee was executed by electric chair on Thursday, the second time in five weeks that the state used electrocution to carry out a death sentence. * David Miller, 61, was pronounced dead at 7:25 p.m. CST at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville * Miller, convicted of first-degree murder for the 1981 killing of a 23-year-old woman * had been on death row since March 1982." -- The other recent death sentence carried out was for a man convicted of a brutal double murder in 1983... Think about what has gone on in the last 35 & 36 years since the monsters killed these people.. the so-wronged parents have suffered unnecessarily and then died before seeing justice.. Death sentences need to be carried out immediately. but in no circumstance other than a US Supreme Court "hold" should sentences not be carried our within a 2 year time frame.

M/C L-E headline/story: "Three Columbus-area employers are laying off 566 (possible error.. individual figures add up to 556) workers combined during the holidays * Georgia-Pacific Wood Products LLC is laying off 321 employees at its plywood plant in Warm Springs, Ga. * 83 workers with XPO Logistics in the Midland area of Columbus are being cut as of Dec. 31, according to the state, while Aptim Federal Services is laying off 152 staffers at Fort Benning on Jan. 1." -- Technically, the 321 in Warm Springs aren't directly in Columbus, but close enough to effect our economy. but the 231 in Columbus will directly effect our retail, restaurant, and housing markets...The most grievous loss is those of XPO Logistics... it appears XPO Logistics is a casualty of NCR leaving Columbus... but who can blame NCR when a major bank in Columbus SNUBBED their TM machines and bought ones from Germany. Wow... between this and the robbing/stabbing of a local Fish House Gang member, Mayor Tom-LYING-son's "legacy" continues to falter..

---
Oh! Did you even know the Fish House Gang was still in existence? It just came back to public scrutiny following an attack following a meeting at RoseHill seafood. As I recall, "membership" was purely dependent on an invitation by a Democrat known as 'the hanging judge'.. Of course he died 7 years ago, so who's calling the shots now? And does the Democrat voting base realize it's still in existence?

---
Well, it looks like evidence has been turned over to the House concerning the mismanagement.. and probable (not rushing to judgment like MSM-13 does) scandals involving the Clintons' multiple Foundations. Unfortunately, this will get buried in January as Democrats become Committee chairpersons.

---
From the "fantasy world of Dem-make-believe" department - Another CNN headline/story: "Latest House results confirm 2018 wasn't a blue wave. It was a blue tsunami. * Let's start in the seat count. Republican Rep. David Valadao of California's 21st District conceded on Thursday to Democrat T.J. Cox. * Cox's victory combined with other election results means that Democrats have picked up a net gain of 40 seats. * As has oft been repeated, this is the largest Democratic House gain since 1974. It's a larger gain than Democrats had in the wave elections of both 1982 and 2006." -- "as has oft been reported"? This is how MSM-13 tries to make fantasy seem like reality... lie often and loudly enough until it's believed to be the truth... The truth is that the 2016 midterm power switch pales when compared to the 2010 midterm power switch when Republicans gained 66 House Seats and 6 Senate seats.. and in this cycle, the Senate actually GAINED 2 Republicans.. and as to the "popular vote" claims the Dems and MSM-13 cite, once you separate the 5 most uber-lib states (CA, NY, IL, NJ, and MA), the other 45 states actually gave a popular vote lead to House Republicans.

---
Interesting..The train carrying the late President George H.W. Bush traveled unharassed to its final destination as opposed to the sabotage/assassination attempt aimed at the Republican filled train in West Virginia following Trump's SOTU speech.

---
Online headline: "California church’s untouched wooden cross becomes symbol of hope in wildfire aftermath" -- Wow... and coup[led with the US Flag that survived virtually damage free at another burned out homesite, I can see a "sign" that California should get it's act together and "consider its ways" as it has abandoned belief in God and respect for America.

---
Online headline: "Lawmakers demand probe of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's 'sweetheart deal' * Lawmakers want to know why the Department of Justice agreed to allow a light sentence for "this monster."" -- Well, as Mr Rogers might have asked, "Well, boys and girls, can you say "Bill Clinton"?

---
HuffPOOPOO extra POOPOO headline: "Every President Recited The Apostles’ Creed Except Trump, And People Definitely Noticed" -- Good grief...The Apostle's Creed is not a ritualistic recitation in all religions...I learned it when I was a Methodist, but it not part of my Baptist program.

---
It amazes me.. well, actually confuses me more... that the Democrats.. why the "Progressive Party" is so against capitalism and individual freedoms that are instrumental FOR "progress".

---
In today's M/C L-E, there's a photo of 6 Northside High School athletes who have signed scholarships with various colleges. Behind them is a banner promoting Northside and ADIDAS..... Excuse me... but why is Adidas being promoted so blatantly? If there has been any money exchanged for such promotion, the MCSB should make sure it is handed over to the MCSD.. otherwise, the banner should destroyed.. at least it wasn't another Nike situation as we had with the City's Parks and Rec Director...

---
M/C L-E headline: "C-SPAN partners with Mediacom to bring educational, interactive bus to Columbus" -- Just another item of misinformation our students are bombarded with... on the front of the bus is a caption: "50 Capital Tour". Our kids will come off believing Columbus is the capital of Georgia... at least the bus isn't touting a "57 States Tour" as a former president once proclaimed.

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Man and woman accused of dumping body at cemetery, Columbus police say * Lewis said the woman was a good friend of his. He said on the night of March 3 they ended up at a house party with drugs and she became ill in a back bedroom. The two then went to Roach’s home at 770 Black Oak Drive, where Lewis paid $50 to rent a bedroom where they could drink alcohol and use drugs. * Roach and Lewis told police they didn’t kill Chambers. Warrants were issued a week ago before both were taken into custody Wednesday. * Alfonza Whitaker, who represented Lewis, said his client cooperated with police. “Actions of the defendant didn’t cause the death,” he said." -- Excuse me.. but since when is contributing to the death of another NOT MURDER?

After looking at the MCSD "SPLOST" report in the L-E, this should enough to discourage every non-school employee from voting "yes" on another SPLOST referendum in the future. Wonder if anybody in the MCSD even noticed they were publishing this on one of the two worst disaster days in American history?

Local item only: PARID: 025 007 001 -- Hmmm... As of Jan 1, 2018, this house had a FMV of $282,580 even though it was last sold in 1996 for $295,000. There's no exemption as owner has moved to Phenix City. It's listed for sale now at $650,000.00 What happened with the software that Mayor Tom-LYING-son endorsed because it would keep data up-to-date.

I watched some of the funeral process to lay President George H.W. Bush to rest.. Seems to me that more detail was spent on the process than allowing President Bush's family to find peace and comfort.

---
I liked George H.W. Bush... voted for him twice in spite of his decision to break a promise to America of "no new taxes" by trusting Democrats, and I was pleased to know he was consulted on his funeral preferences years ago..... but a TRAIN? I hardly feel that Bush 41 would have designated his body be transported by train.. We ought to be able to see the original "plan", and see what's been changed that he didn't request/approve of...

---
Speaking of trains and funerals.. My grandfather did not like President Franklin D. Roosevelt.. when Roosevelt died in 1945, and plans were announced for the special train car, my grandfather volunteered to have the shroud made in our store to cover the casket for the trip back to Washington. He had it made with as heavy lace as he could get... wanted to make sure the casket top couldn't be opened.

I believe it is still in the display at the Smithsonian.

---
Hypocrisy ..they name is liberal-Socialist....I like President George H.W. Bush...in fact I liked him a lot more than mainscream media or Democrats ever did, ever has. He did two basic "kowtows" trying to "get along" with that multi-headed Socialist monster.. After he promised "no new taxes", he signed a new bill raising taxes because the Dems 'promised' " no new or increased spending", and of course that was just another broken Democrat promise...then he promised to pull out of the Gulf War as soon as the US could run Saddam Hussein's army out of Kuwait...and he kept his promise to the Dems and mainscream media even though they still called him a warmonger, and it only allowed Hussein to regroup and bite us again. And even with all that working against him in the 1992 election, mainscream media and the Democrats could only generate 43% of the votes FOR Slick Willie. Damn that Ross Perot! It was him responsible for the last 26 years we've been cursed by Hellary!

From the "distressing priorities" department - Online headline.story: "Ezekiel Elliott scolds NFL over Salvation Army kettle penalty: 'I'll pay their little fine' * On Thanksgiving, Ezekiel Elliott dropped $21 and Dak Prescott into a giant Salvation Army kettle during a win over the Washington Redskins. * His donation ended up costing him more than $13,000. The Dallas Cowboys running back did so while celebrating touchdowns, which drew the ire of the NFL’s fine police, who docked him $13,369 for unsportsmanlike conduct." -- If you hadn't joined the strike of the NFL games, this is a perfect time to jump in.. The NFL protects disrespecting our veterans, law enforcement officers, active duty military, those who sacrificed their all for our freedom, our Flag, and our National Anthem, yet fines those who respect our Lord and Savior, and a Christian based organization that does so much to help those in trouble because of disasters or personal issues.

---
From the "MSM-13 Bias? What bias?" department - Online headline/story: "George W. Bush and Michelle Obama share in sweet tradition at late George H.W. Bush's funeral * As the younger Bush greeted mourners at his late father’s memorial service at the Washington National Cathedral, he appeared to hand Obama a piece of candy, a kind act he also performed at the funeral of late Senator John McCain in September." -- What about "protocol"? Did he bring enough for everyone? And if Trump had dine the same thing, he;d been called a misogynist, gender-biased, ... yeah, and probably racist.

Online headline: "Princeton group cuts 'Mermaid' song over 'toxic masculinity'" -- Hmmm.. well, obviously, there is no "masculinity... toxic or not" within the Princeton all-male a cappella group....

Looks like the last Obama insider at the FBI is retiring before the end of the year...sadly, we taxpayers will be funding his retirement ...

---
HuffPOOPOO headline/'story': "The Longest-Serving Congressman In History Wants To Abolish The Senate * John D. Dingell, a man who served Congress for more than 59 years says he could fix its broken systems by completely abolishing the Senate." -- Good grief...what a typical Democrat-Socialist view of a solution...do what's best for Democrat-Socialist rather than what's best for America .

In reality, all Dingle is thinking about is no matter what the Democrat majority feels about impeaching Trump, the Senate will not convict him.

---
What is it with Democrats and their embittered vitriol on the "popular" vote being the determinant factor in the Presidential race? Sure, Hellary got 3,000,000 more votes across the country, but she got 3,500,000 more in California alone.. meaning Trump had the most popular votes in the other 49 states combined.. and Gore in 2000.. he had a few more "popular votes overall... BUT he even lost his home state of Tennessee which if he had won, would have given him the presidency.. and he did not win one Southern state.. period.. but the fact his "home" rejected him is proof he shouldn't have even been so close.

Online headline: "American Football Unexpectedly Grows in the Land of the Nile
The rise of American football in Egypt is unexpected. * Egypt is the only country in the Middle East and Africa which boasts a domestic league: the Egyptian Federation of American Football (EFAF)." -- Hmmm... you have to wonder if the Egyptian government likes it because until recently, the NFL pretty much allowed players to beat up on the women in their lives... maybe not so much in the future of Egyptian American football.

---
Online headline: "Satanic Sculpture Installed At Illinois Statehouse, Just In Time For The Holidays" -- Bet the sculpture is on the 2020 ballot for the new Illinois Superintendent of Elections race... of course, Illinois could have put out an "empty chair" instead, but Clint Eastwood already claims the glory...

---
M/CL-E story: "On a frigid Wednesday night in Jordan-Hare Stadium, the Central Red Devils were trying to warm the hearts of their fans and bring home to Phenix City the football program’s first state championship in a quarter century. * Their game against the Thompson Warriors of Alabaster wasn’t finished before press time." -- Pssst... hey L-E... Central won.. but don't tell anybody....we might be interested...

M/C L-E headline/story: "‘Full plate’ of worries for new secretary of state * THE SECRETARY OF STATE’S OFFICE HAS FACED CRITICISM AT LEAST THREE TIMES SINCE 2015 FOR SECURITY BREACHES THAT RISKED EXPOSING INFORMATION ON MILLIONS OF GEORGIA VOTERS." -- "faced criticism 3 times"? Hmmm.. to me, it's been so constant, I cannot figure out where anybody could disseminate when/where there has been a "break" that you could categorize as "a time", much less 3 times.

Even sadder is mainscream media ..like the L-E, has not recognized that Stacey Abrams was pretty much responsible for the errors her New Georgia Project "agents" created by not verifying info on voter registration apps.

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Realtor Parker robbed, stabbed, police say * The robbery and stabbing remain under investigation by the Robbery/Assault Unit of the Investigative Services Bureau at the Columbus Police Department." -- Wow,,, not one word.. much less an adjective.. of description of the assailant so that the PUBLIC might help the CPD to find "it"... Bet this shakes the Mayor's donor/supporter list about her claim that crime is down 40% since she took over office, and Columbus is a safe place to live.

---
M/C L-E headline: "Macron scraps French tax hike amid protests" -- Don't laugh... don't say, "I told you so!".. it could have just as easily a headline here... Hellary would have done the same!

So Mueller has recommended "zero" jail time for Michael Flynn based on
co-operation" concerning a conversation with Putin during the transition period prior to Trump taking office...involving a request.. more or less for Putin to be "flexible" in reacting to Obama imposed sanctions until after Trump takes office...hmmm sounds like a pretty reasonable request to me... and makes me wonder why Mueller has not ever arrested Obama for telling Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to "tell Putin I can be more "flexible" AFTER the (2012) election".

Good grief... Australia has an interactive theme tourist attraction that allows one to "swim with the crocs". Australia feels this is unique... heck, America has been swimming with "the crocs" ever since Democrats learned to make campaign promises that they never intended to keep.

---
Why is it that MSM-13 harasses Trump about how he built/accumulated his wealth as a business and entertainment mogul, yet hasn't raised an eyebrow learning that Obama didn't have a pot-to-pee in when he first ran for office, yet now, less than 2 years after he left the Oval Office, Forbes Magazine estimates his wealth at $40 Million... 60% percent higher than the estate of recently passed President George H.W Bush.. who had another actual career other than politician?

---
From the "ultimate Democrat lie" department - Online headline: "'Gaffe Machine' Joe Biden Says He's 'The Most Qualified Person in the Country to be President'" -- Poor Bleep Veep Joe... like Dan Quayle, Biden is no "wordsmith". Biden left a word out... "Vice".. Yes he cam lay claim to being the most qualified person to ever serve as VICE-President.. because, it kept Obama "safe" ... no one, not even foreign enemies wanted Biden to be able to step into the presidency like LBJ did in 1963.

Wow... softball is back... and promoters say Columbus will "benefit" from more than $1,000,000.00 circulating in the community during the 7 day period as 50/60 teams will be entered.. Hmmm--- I see Columbus is hosting that softball tournament....Are we spending $5.6 million as mentioned? Seriously.. is this worth it to Columbus? We held the Olympics version in 1996 (23 years ago when the new tournament is scheduled) and all we've gotten from it is a dilapidated baseball facility, now nearly 70 years old, no minor league team wants to use, and we can;t tear it down for other uses as there are covenants attached.

---
Once again, Columbus/Muscogee County ostracizes itself from Georgia..in the Secretary of State runoff, Raffensperger got a lower percent of votes here than he did in November, and Barrow got a higher percentage of Votes than even Abrams did in November.

---
Heard a local broadcast interview about a voter in Tuesday's runoff, and the woman says she's been a Democrat all her life so she voted Democrat. Good grief.. she's been an American all her life, too, so why vote for what's good for the Democrat instead of what's good for Columbus and America?

---
Listening to Chuck Schumer et al Democrats talk about George H.W. Bush in reverence makes me sick.. us old timers remember when Democrats spoke of him as they now speak of Trump.. well, not quite as bad, but close.

Great point to ponder: If Robert Mueller and MSM-13, and Democrats in general are so concerned about Russians... foreigners.. influencing our elections, then why aren't they concerned about illegal aliens/non-citizens being able to vote if we don't have verified photo-ID cards?

---
Oh, and what's with the Women's Rights/Equality movement? All women have to do nowadays is declare themselves "men" and there[s no more problem...

---
Entitlements.... you know... Social Security and Veterans Benefits ARE entitlements.. each valid recipient has paid into them personally... what AREN'T entitlements are welfare, food stamps and other forms of government welfare that are not EARNED, those are called charitable handouts... and should be separated from government as they've become vote bribes by otherwise un-electable politicians...

---
Online story: "In her first public speech since losing the race for governor, Stacey Abrams dropped a strong suggestion she’s either taking aim for David Perdue in two years or Brian Kemp in four." -- Looks like soon-to-be-former Columbus Mayor Tom-LYING-son's work for Abrams just put a wall in front of her own political path..Wait a minute.. she can just run for Bishop's District 2 seat!

Final NCAA poll finds 8 of the 25 teams are from the SEC... steel sharpens steel.

Did you see the "booth" for legal advice set up in Tijuana? It had a big poster/sign, "Information Legal" in English...obviously a staged photo-op..sign should have been in Spanish.

The death of George H.W. Bush reminds us of the 1992 election when Ross Perot took 19,000,000 votes away from Bush and allowed Clinton to get elected with only 43% of the votes. Ross Perot will die knowing he was responsible for electing Slick Willie and giving Hellary a platform.

---
You know, President Bush 41's death also reminds me of the first major (I'm sure some others were broken before this one... but) campaign promise broken by Bill Clinton. Less than two months after he took office, he went on TV and "sadly"announced that the tax cut he promised wasn't going to happen.. he said he "tried", but just couldn't make it happen.. of course, he never intended to n]=make it happen.

From the "new voting fraud... and a MUST READ" department - Online story: "As the polls closed on election day last month, six California Republican House candidates, including Representatives Dana Rohrabacher, Steve Knight, and Mimi Walters, were ahead in their respective races. However, as the absentee and provisional ballots rolled in over the intervening weeks, all six lost to their Democratic opponents. * The case of Korean-American GOP candidate Young Kim was one of the most prominent examples. On election night, Kim held an 8,000 vote lead over her Democratic opponent Gil Cisneros, and even attended freshman orientation in Washington, D.C. before watching her lead, and her victory, slowly evaporate over the subsequent weeks. * The stunning turnaround in California, of all states, can be attributed to several factors, as conservative critics like The Federalist’s Bre Payton wrote, but the most significant of those seemed to be the practice of “ballot harvesting.” * Passed as a barely noticed change in the state’s vote by mail procedures in 2016 and signed by then-Governor Jerry Brown, California’s AB 1921 allows voters to give any third party — not just a relative or someone living in the same household, as was previously the law — to collect and turn in anyone else’s completed ballot. * The stunning turnaround in California, of all states, can be attributed to several factors, as conservative critics like The Federalist’s Bre Payton wrote, but the most significant of those seemed to be the practice of “ballot harvesting.” * Passed as a barely noticed change in the state’s vote by mail procedures in 2016 and signed by then-Governor Jerry Brown, California’s AB 1921 allows voters to give any third party — not just a relative or someone living in the same household, as was previously the law — to collect and turn in anyone else’s completed ballot." -- You know.. this is something that can .. and has happened ..in a limited manner.. here in Columbus.. the most obvious situation is absentee ballots sent to senior care facilities where employees are involved in everyday activities with patients unable to handle their own affairs...

From the "bet MSM-13 didn't see this coming" department - Online headline/story: "French Citizens SHOCK Leftists with Chant “We want Trump!” -- As opposed to our "left".. MSM-13 and RINOs included.. penchant for saying, "We WON"T Trump!"

Maybe I need to change my normal "Monday Reminder" to Tuesdays.. seems the weekend updates are running longer as actually news seems to be dispensed over the weekend now.
Still no new news on Zeph Baker, or Tom-LYING-son's car accident.. there seemed to be lot more work done on the Roundabout at River Road last week.. including the "rape" of greenery at the Alzheimer Care Center on the corner of Bradly Park (guess the GA DOT figures the patients won't remember there being trees and a sound buffer there) Hey Mayor.. how come you were so upset at the trees getting cut between J R Allen Parkway and Columbus Park Crossing, yet are completely mum on this.

M/C L-E headline/story: "Trump says Cohen deserves ‘full’ sentence * “You mean he can do all of the TERRIBLE, unrelated to Trump, things having to do with fraud, big loans, Taxis, etc., and not serve a long prison term?” Trump said in morning tweets. “He makes up stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself. ... He lied for this outcome and should, in my opinion, serve a full and complete sentence.”" -- Yeah! And the NY Governor who signed the bill that allows an lawyer to record a client without the clients approval should also be jailed! for treason based on the 4th.. and possibly the 6th Amendments

From the "please don't throw me in that there brier patch" department - Online headline/story: "Chiefs cut RB Kareem Hunt after TMZ releases video of him shoving and kicking woman * When action finally came, it was swift, including the Chiefs cutting Hunt, who led the NFL in rushing yards last season." -- You know, it doesn't really matter to the other 31 teams that Kansas City took corrective and absolute action... some of them have probably already contacted Hunt's agent with a better contract than he had with the Chiefs.

Online story: "Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke on Friday responded to Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) calling on him to resign by attacking the lawmaker’s history of drinking. * “It’s hard for him to think straight from the bottom of a bottle,” Zinke wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. “This is coming from a man who used nearly $50,000 in tax dollars as hush money to cover up his drunken and hostile behavior.” * Zinke is referring to a 2015 settlement that the House Employment Counsel paid to a Grijalva top staffer who accused the lawmaker of frequent drinking and creating a hostile work environment, as The Washington Times reported. * “[Grijalva] should resign and pay back the taxpayer for the hush money and the tens of thousands of dollars he forced my department to spend investigating unfounded allegations,” Zinke added. "-- Hmmm.. what Zinke should do is shut down a lane of a major road in Grijalva's District and post a sign that it will be fixed as soon as Grijalva repays the money he cost the taxpayers.

Online story: "Georgia voters with limited ability to speak English will be able to bring an interpreter of their choice to the polls, according to a settlement approved by a federal judge Thursday." -- You know, if a valid citizen and registered voter does not know ahead of time who is running and he/she plans to vote for, they probably shouldn't be voting.. but if there is am "interpreter" allowed into the "booth", then there ought to be only one particular booth at each precinct and it should be with an election official monitoring an audio/video monitor to make sure the "interpreter" does not influence the voter or "help" mark the ballot.

M/C L-E headline: "‘SOLID SOUTH’ SEEING A SHIFT * Midterms in region reveal marked urban, rural split" -- Good grief.. MSM-13 is trying so hard to make a lackluster Democrat mid-term election seem like a definitive trend! Facts are that in the House races, 5 uber-lib states had 500,000 more Democrat surplus votes than the 8.6 Million the Dems point out as an indicative "landslide result"..but in actuality, the other 45 states preferred Republican representatives. In fact, those 5 uber-lib states (CA, NY, IL, NJ,and MA have 102 Dem Representatives and only 18 Republican ones. One more point about GA's House election results.. the only "pick-up by the Dems was District 6 which was the highly targeted race Dems poured close to $40 MILLION in last year in a special election without success, and it will probably go back Republican in 2020 when a better Republican candidate runs. Oh.. and statewide in GA House races, Republicans took 52.2% versus Democrats getting but 47.7% so Democrats must find over 9% more voters to make any sort of dent in 2020.

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Muscogee school board to have new leader * Mike Edmondson, who will be the District 2 representative Jan. 1, after Thomas didn’t run for re-election, won’t pursue the chairmanship now, but he is interested in eventually serving in that position. * “I think, given that I will be new to the board, that I should focus on my district, my expertise and working with the collective board,” he said. “At some future point, if it seemed a good idea, sure, I would not mind chairing." -- Edmondson's comment reveals the real problem an elected vs appointed school bard creates.. we have 8 specific districts that put specific district "wants" ahead of the overall system "needs".. What should happen is that the 8 specific District reps should be the voice of their district voters in making the overall system the best it can be, not just worrying about getting re-elected.

From the "mark this down on your calendars, and put website "link" on your "tool bar" or "favorites list" department: -- M/C L-E headline: "SIX COMIC EPISODES NAMED ‘GROUNDS’ * Playwright launches web series set in Columbus * BY NATALIA NAMAN TEMESGEN" -- Columbus is so fortunate to have Natalia Temesgen "back home"..we've seen her play "Ace: the Eugene Bullard Story", and now we are going to follow her future...

Online headline/story: "U.S., China declare 90-day halt to new tariffs, White House says * U.S. farmers have been hurt by reduced Chinese imports of soybeans and other products." -- You know.. if American farmers can produce all we need, and have reserves to feed the rest of the world... where else is China going to get what it needs.. Obviously, China cannot produce enough itself. so if I were a farmer, I think I'd raise my prices on exports upfront so I'd benefit from overseas sales.

From the "misplaced priorities" department - Online headline: "Amid #MeToo, radio station nixes 'Baby, It's Cold Outside'" -- Good grief...What's next, banning "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" because he couldn't play games with the other reindeer?

From the Elizabeth Barrett Browning, "How wrong is this, let me count the ways" department - Online headline: "Al Sharpton sells his life story rights for $531G — to his own charity" -- Good grief.. IRS should revoke the "501 (c) 3" status immediately and confiscate the money for back taxes

Allen Parkway from Bradley Park Drive into Phenix City, the city’s Planning Department won approval Tuesday for the Georgia Department of Transportation to conduct a $200,000 study on the roadway." -- "$200,000.00 study"? I can solve it for 2-cents.. It's Phenix City's and Alabama's PROBLEM! Just shut the bridge down on the GA side until "they" solve the exit problem.... and the solution involves 2 more lanes from the Bridge to 280 and a revamp of the interchange there. In other words, NOT OUR PROBLEM!

From Columbus Council Agenda: "An ordinance amending ordinance 98-30, 00-106, 01-29, and 08-69 for the readoption of the existing Enterprise Zone known as the Columbus Business Development Center for a 10-year period; and for other purposes. (Mayor Pro-Tem Evelyn Turner Pugh)" -- You know, with a new Mayor and a new Councilor coming on board in January, wouldn't it be better to have a 10-year extension approved by the new team?

From the "hypocrisy personified" department - M/C L-E commentary headline: " The Supreme Court jumps to unanimity on frog case * BY GEORGE WILL Washington Post Writers Group" - Good grief.. MSM-13 can applaud a unanimous SC decision limiting government overreach over concerning a small population of frogs, yet MSM-13 will fight against the 1st and 2nd Amendments for all Americans... fully well knowing that the 1st and 2nd Amendments are the two things that empower MSM-13 to exist.

You can argue until you are blue in the face about who is/was the worst president of the US, but two categories have a clear cut "winner"...LBJ is undoubtedly the most powerful evil president, and Slick Willie the most destructive...LBJ would never become a president except if Kennedy died, and Clinton sold our previously classified intercontinental ballistic missile and space launch technology to China.

With all the recent re-emergence of the scandals of Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Clinton's 26 documented flights aboard the "Lolita Express", don't you feel there are Secret Service agents that accompanied him or were 'ditched' by him that might be ready to talk?

from the "what judge in the US District 9 Court of Appeals will sign off on this" department - Online headline: "‘We will be fighting this.’ Day after suspension, Snipes rescinds resignation" -- Hmmm...and she probably wants a referendum on it so she can count the votes.

---
Online headline: "Obama aides say Beto O'Rourke reminds them of the ex-president. Obama agrees." -- I can see this..idea-less, inexperienced, and charming...

---
Online headline/story: "Democratic Rep. Joins Migrants in Tijuana, Slams Trump for Creating 'Humanitarian Crisis' * (Rep. Pramila) Jayapal (D-Wash), first vice chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, met with migrants who are seeking asylum in the United States. She told Politico on Friday that Trump is "lying about this caravan." --  Hmmm... I hope the border agents check her citizenship credentials very closely when she tries to get back in.

---
From the "setting the record straight" department - Online story: "When Barack Obama was President, the Border Patrol used tear gas on illegal aliens 79 times."

---
From the "obviously, she has no clue" department - Online headline/story: "ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ SAYS ALL AMERICANS SHOULD HAVE THE AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE SHE NOW GETS AS A CONGRESSWOMAN * "As a waitress, I had to pay more than TWICE what I’d pay as a member of Congress." -- She has no clue on what the costs of the Congressional Healthcare package actually costs the American taxpayers.. Why doesn't she insist on Congress using ObamaCRAP?

---
From the "if you have no proof or facts, bombard Trump with innuendo" department - Online headline/story: "Trump's threat to impose a 'chicken tax' on cars could cause a major mess for the US economy * Economists estimate that auto tariffs would result in a net loss of US jobs and be harmful to the US economy." -- " Could cause a major mess"? Good grief... GDP and Employment ACTUAL figures are the highest on many decades.. this is fact.. not propaganda.

---
From the "lips of Bruce Springsteen" department - HuffPOOPOO story: "Trump “has no interest in uniting the country, really, and actually has an interest in doing the opposite and dividing us, which he does on an almost daily basis,” the “Born to Run” singer told the magazine. “So that’s simply a crime against humanity, as far as I’m concerned.” -- No, Trump has no interest in allowing liberals... whether Dems or RINOs... to keep tearing down this country... and it's working.. as Trump could not have won without winning over enough Dem voters who recognized the dangers of Hellary, and Republican voters who recognized no other Republican candidate would have beat her. I'd call this "unity for America's future"!

---
From the "obviously warped liberal mind" department - M/C L-E headline:"Candidates vie to control elections, electricity costs" -- Good grief.. "vie to control"? It's sad. well. PATHETIC.. that liberalism.. supported by MSM-13.. looks at politics as a "control issue" rather than a "serve all the people issue".

M/C l-E headline/story: "Clogged sewer pipes shut down Government Center cafe for 2 days * The sewer pipes in the 47-year-old building were installed at 90-degree angles with many clumped together. * The same sewer pipes with the 90-degree angle wouldn’t meet codes now." -- "wouldn't meet codes now"? Hmmm and why did that meet codes back in the early 70's... it surely didn't meet the "code of common sense", for sure. Maybe Council should bar any more permits for local work from the main construction company (Batson-Cook, I believe - apology if not) until it either fixes this problem or pays for the "fixing" of this problem.
