March Madness... a.k.a. April Advertisement.. is over and Virginia won.. Now, I have a question.. wearing matching uniforms is mandatory.. this also use to mean shoes as well.. I can roll with the times ... a little.. and reluctantly accept players wearing different basketball shoes but not from different manufacturers... I understand the PROs doing this as players have individual "shoe contracts", but college players should not have those .. neither currently signed ones nor post-season promissory ones.

Then I learned that the agent registered as the 'front" for Train Depot, LLC on the GA Corporations registry works for a competing law firm of Hall, Booth, Smith. Yesterday, I learned that our ex-mayor Tom-LYING-son not only joined Hall. Booth, Smith after leaving the City in January of this year., she went in as a PARTNER of the firm... How convenient.. not only did she sell to her old firm lawyers which her husband still works with, now she works for the firm that registered the Columbus, Depot, LLC.. To boot, the Columbus Depot LLC acquired it under regulations of a T.A.D. which was railroaded into Columbus existence by our former mayor Tom-LYING-son who is still in the middle of all this.. Where's Robert Mueller.. he must be looking for new work!

Another interesting comparison is with California is Vermont. Vermont is Number 1 on this list:

Having read that the River Walk was "complete", I went down to the RiverWalk Friday .. I guess you can say the River Walk is complete .. even though parts of it are blocked off from use. Wow.. being intrigued at the dynamics of the Train Depot's current status as not only the home of Pope, McGlamry et al, and also the Chamber of Commerce is still there, too. My first intrigue was wondering where the Chamber was located now since the building was sold, then finding it was still located there. The second intrigue was learning that after the sale (and at loss of over $865,000.00 to the taxpayers), the property was reassigned an even lower Fair Market Value of $880,858.00 which meant the City (us) gets over $10,000.00 LESS in property tax revenues PER YEAR! Intrigued even further was that the new owner is Columbus Depot, LLC., and I first assumed that it was owned by some or all of the Pope, McGlamry law partners, but when I check the GA Corporate Registration, I found that the registered agent (lawyer fronting for owners) was a lawyer from another competing law firm, Hall, Booth,Smith. Does anyone reading this know who the principles are in Columbus Depot, LLC? I cannot imagine Pope, McGlamry lawyers using another law firm to shield themselves.. Hey Council.. will someone please answer this for me so I don't have to come down there in person?

The website and Facebook page still show it as 1200 6th Avenue, but we know that the Train Depot was sold to ex-Mayor Tom-LYING-son's old law firm (at a very favorable price and FMV tax base). Maybe the Chamber should e=evaluate it's claim of "We do Amazing".. well, at least until out of tine business scouts know where to go...

I love college basketball, and will be pulling hard for Auburn this weekend, but I', sue glad I'm not a die-hard fan.. It's being played in Minneapolis at the NFL stadium that seats 66.860 for NFL games but will be expanded for the NCAA Final 4. In perspective, I attended a Knicks/Spurs game in 1977 in the New Madison Square Garden (seating capacity of 20,000). It was Bill Bradley's final year and the rookie year of George "the Sandman" Gervin. I was staying across the street and saw a sign advertising the game that night. I walked over and bout a ticket. The agent said he had a single ticket at mid-court if I didn't mind paying $14.00 for it. I twas halfway between the court and the nose-bleed section. I felt sorry for those fans as I needed binoculars to see the jersey numbers. I cannot imagine anyone attending the nose-bleed section of US Bank Arena in Minneapolis really getting to see the action on the court ... even if they HAVE binoculars.

The killer has been identified as Eric Holder, age 29.. You know when a suspect has the same name as a former US Attorney General, I would think even MSM-13 might be curious enough to wonder if there is a connection, and when you look up images of the 29 year old, and see that there is a noticeable resemblance..and the age difference (69 and 29) fit in to scale, the question of relationship jumps out at you..

Charlie Morrow's team was relegated .. not just to left field, but in foul territory near left field..It was convenient to have a nice college program, but a college setting just was not good for minor league baseball. Now we have a further decaying structure on our hands that can not be removed for other ideas.. guess Council i waiting until 2042 when Golden Park hits the 47 year mark from it's overhaul for the 1996 Olympics and will self-destruct..

There are a number of Prescription Drug Discount Cards available to any consumer without charge.. They show prices we can get our prescription drugs for at a discount to what pharmacies will charge us if we don't show them one of the cards. My question is: Since we pay nothing for the cards, and pharmacies obviously do not benefit financially for us possessing such cards, why are such cards necessary to lower prices... why don't the pharmacies just have a one-price policy for every drug for every customer?
