A few weeks ago I criticized, even sympathized, with Michael Eddings blaming all the financial irregularities of his legal escrow accounts squarely on his wife. Thinking about it more, I have come to the conclusion that Eddings actually may be pretty smart. His claim shifts the investigation away from him, and neither he or his wife can be made to testify against each other. Of course, if his wife gets convicted, all bets on Eddings future are off.

He was arrested, not because he shot the burglar, but because he was a convicted felon and not allowed to own/possess a gun.
