Took this picture of a historic marker on the Alabama side of the Chattahoochee near the 13th Street Bridge:

This is the spot that millions of dollars is being spent on restoring the river to make it safe for sporting kayakers to entertain themselves, yet when the Chattahoochee was "free' and in its natural state, it was safe for women and children to play and fish in. Wonder if spending all those dollars before seeing what the original site actually was is more like putting the cart before the horse (though in this case, 'before the mule', as its obvious that the engineers are too stubborn to do so).

We had tickets for the Lady Antebellum show. Bought them in December. We know the Mayor bought her own, but how many City employees/Councilors were there on free tickets while other Columbus citizens didn't have an opportunity to buy those tickets?
