Online story: "Pink slime -- that ammonia-treated meat in a bright Pepto-bismol shade -- may have been rejected by fast food joints like McDonald's, Taco Bell and Burger King, but is being brought in by the tons for the nation's school lunch program. * The U.S. Department of Agriculture is purchasing 7 million pounds of the "slime" for school lunches, The Daily reports. Officially termed "Lean Beef Trimmings," the product is a ground-up combination of beef scraps, cow connective tissues and other beef trimmings that are treated with ammonium hydroxide to kill pathogens like salmonella and E. coli. It's then blended into traditional meat products like ground beef and hamburger patties." -- In the interest of truth in advertising, it should be relabeled "Pelosi Pulp"... the schools won't tell you what's in it until after you "pass" it.

L-E story: "An 18-year-old high school student with three children pleaded guilty Monday to burglary in Muscogee County Superior Court." -- A fitting sentence would for him to be neutered by dissecting him in a Sex Ed class.

Richard Hyatt is concerned about how a kid's show is affecting his young daughter. Hey, Richard... just wait until she starts watching the teenager targeted 'reality shows'. You think Max and Ruby are showing her how to resolve their problems without parents is bad, but when shows like "One Tree Hill, Make it or Break it, Secret Life of the American Teenager, and others do show a parent, the parent is not only dysfunctional at every thing, the parent might be involved with one of the teenagers.

Online headline: "Was Osama bin Laden actually buried at sea?" -- Of course not! He won't be buried until after he votes a few times in November.

Further loophole situation involving the tax break of condos at the Eagle&Phenix complex: One other observation about this tax inequality situation is that none of the condos have a homestead exemption shown in the tax digest information. This makes it possible for someone to maintain two homes in Muscogee County benefiting from tax laws not everyone else has privy to. Someone living in the rural areas of the county can keep their home and buy a condo at the E&P without giving up the homestead exemption in the first mentioned abode. Even worse would be someone buying a condo, then renting it out without having to pay commercial tax rates.

Spring Harbor is a pimple compared to the wart going on at the Eagle & Phenix condos at 1201 Front Avenue. Units valued at $1.3 million dollars pay less than $400.00 in city/MCSD property taxes, and owning one doesn't use up your use of a homestead exemption on a second house in Muscogee County. The law applied to historic redevelpments is truly an elitist loophole.

Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "A lot of people are blaming Obama for the rising gas prices. Remember, no one blamed Bush, and his family owns a percentage of the world oil production. " -- This sounds like it either came from Judy F. Brouillette or some other lib who has finally emerged from the hole in the ground where Saddam Hussein was found hiding. DIM&DUMBERats are still blaming Bush for everything.

L-E headline: "OHIO SCHOOL SHOOTING * Judge says school shooting case may go to adult court" -- "May go to adult court"? We need more 'hanging judges'! A few quick applications of justice will go a lot further in curtailing future crimes.

Our first multi-vote voter of the season is a Republican! At least according to the crack reporters at the L-E. The L-e reports that Larry Heisler voted for Romney, then runs a picture of Heisler with a caption showing he voted for Gingrich.
