Online story: "SAN FRANCISCO — Less than 24 hours after California started issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples, lawyers for the sponsors of the state's gay marriage ban filed an emergency motion Saturday asking the U.S. Supreme Court to stop the weddings being performed in San Francisco. * "The Ninth Circuit's June 28, 2013 Order purporting to dissolve the stay...is the latest in a long line of judicial irregularities that have unfairly thwarted Petitioners' defense of California's marriage amendment," the paperwork states. "Failing to correct the appellate court's actions threatens to undermine the public's confidence in its legal system." -- With Judas 00-bama being elected on the same voting day in 2008, I was shocked that prop 8 even passed. Even the ACLU should be involved as the state powers refused to support the will of the people. The map following shows the widespread support of Prop 8 in the CA Amendment vote.

Online story: "NEW YORK — The Rev. Al Sharpton is working on a book to be co-released this fall by the publishing arm of Cash Money Records * The book will track Sharpton's "personal evolution" from New York street activist to political candidate and civil rights spokesman." -- Hmmm, his "evolution"? That ought take care of one page, but a book needs at least two pages.....

Online headline: "Biden Asks Ecuador To Turn Down Snowden's Asylum Request" -- Biden asks? What's wrong.. Deniis Rodman wasn't available?

Was looking at a list of the top 7 "snobbiest" cities in America. (San Franciso, NYC, Boston, Minneapolis, Sante Fe, Seattle, and Chicago), and visualizing why each would make such a list... it boiled down to liberal elitist government rule, and strict gun laws. We can all learn from an exercise such as this.

---

Since the Super Bowl (what's that... 5 months or so?) 28 NFL players have been arrested; about 7% were "creepy white crackers".

---

Online headline: "Thousands Demand Justice For Turkey Protester Killed By Cop" -- Oooops, my bad. Thought PETA had wrung a Butterball turkey.

---

More to the NSA saga: "Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said the court order for telephone records was part of a three-month renewal of an ongoing practice, the Associated Press reported. * "It’s called protecting America," Feinstein said at a Capitol Hill news conference." -- What we need is for Senator Feinstein to introduce a new bill protecting America from DUMBERat politicians.

Online headline: "(Tina) Fey's husband is a lot shorter than she is" -- How do you get shorter than bottom-of-the-barrel-scraping"?

Why hasn't Capital One yanked the (_*_) B*ldwin commercial off the air already. He feigns public support of homosexual/lesbian issues but slurs them as well.

They're rioting in Egypt, and it's anticipated to escalate daily. Judas 00-bama has said he is taking steps to keep the Embassy safe. Bet our ambassador is really relieved.

From the 'while you were sleeping' department - Online story:

  • Cook County, Illinois has added a $25 tax on gun purchases.
  • Connecticut is considering a 50 percent tax on ammunition.
  • Maryland is looking at a $25 tax on handgun licenses, and then a 50 percent tax on ammunition.
  • Other states considering taxes include: Washington, Nevada, California, Massachusetts, New Jersey.

  • -- You know, owning guns is a Constitutional right for law abiding citizens. Same goes for voting, so shouldn't a tax on guns be considered as illegal as a "poll tax"?

CHICAGO—Over the course of the 45-minute victory parade held Friday morning to celebrate the Chicago Blackhawks’ NHL championship, the Stanley Cup sustained nearly a dozen gunshot wounds, city police officials have confirmed. “Multiple gun-wielding individuals, all appearing to operate independently, fired approximately 25 shots at the trophy, resulting in 11 direct hits,” said Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy, who confirmed the famous trophy’s injuries may leave many of the names of past champions engraved upon it permanently illegible, including the entire roster of the 1999 Dallas Stars. “We are seeking any information regarding the current whereabouts of the Cup’s assailants, as well as the identities of the 1.3 million revelers facing charges of public intoxication.” --

-- "Parade coordinators reportedly elected to continue the rally, stating that the crowds of Chicagoans did not seem at all fazed by the gunfire."? Hmmm, musta thought tis was a Bulls' parade, OR... their were tax collectors raising revenues of the guns and ammo being used!

    Online story: "
“Jeb Bush will present Hillary Clinton with the 2013 Liberty Medal this fall in Philadelphia. Bush, the former Republican governor of Florida, is chairman of the National Constitution Center, which is giving Clinton the award in honor of her career in public service and her advocacy efforts on behalf of women.” (The Hill)
The medal will be given out in Philadelphia on September 10th — one day before the Benghazi attack anniversary. Then again, as Mrs. Clinton might observe, what difference does it make? -- Surely this is an April Fools' Day fake story that just appeared this weekend.

Online story: "Sure July Fourth is traditionally celebrated as the day we declared independence from Great Britain, an action that preceded the Revolutionary War and set the tone for our nascent nation. But now it has another significance. As far as Pelosi is concerned it is "health independence" day, too." -- Sure do know where I use for a bottle rocket launcher.

Latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com: Seems I can see Judas 00-bama backstage for free. They are going to fly several 'winners' to meet the President at no cost. Hmmm, that means that 501 (c) 4 tax deductible donations are paying for my (or someone else's) tickets, and that means taxpayers are half or so of that.

Learned a lesson this week... not to go to eat in downtown Athens. Went there Tuesday with my bride to see our daughter. Took her to supper a little after 5:00 PM, and got back to the car 90 minutes later, and had a parking ticket. There were no parking meters. Not being familiar with Athens' parking terrorism, I wasn't aware I needed to hunt down a parking permit machine camouflaged amidst street vending machines, and my daughter didn't realize parking violations were given after 5:00 (they are in effect until 10:00 PM, so you UGA parents might can see where your students are instead if studying). Thus, since Athens is so greedy for parking revenues, I just guess we'll no longer visit restaurants that rely on street parking.

I'm curious ... with Mayor Obamalison so intent on making Columbus the Bicycle Mecca AND the High Speed Rail Centers of GA, will pedestrian and motorists have a chance?
    ---
The TRILLION dollar student loan debt must be a tribute to liberalism. Easy credit to financially unqualified students to get degrees in unmarketable fields has done two things: accelerated teaching salaries, and perpetuated government control on this generations' future.

L-E story: "Rafters putting in at the new point, a few hundred yards south of the North Highland Dam, will get an extra treat, thanks to 600 cubic yards of rocks mined from the river and used to create a new rapid right at the beginning of the run. * The structure, more or less a small dam, serves a dual purpose: To give rafters another set of rapids on a relatively tame stretch of the course, and to create a wider pool behind it for rafters and kayakers to launch into. “We thought it was important to have something on that stretch of the river, to have something for people to get excited about right at the beginning,” Bishop said." -- Wasn't the original idea to REMOVE the dams and RESTORE the Chattahoochee to its natural flow? The state and federal IRS ought to attache fines to recover all tax dollars involved in this.

The MCSD, and even this paper have its sights aimed too low at evaluating CRCT results. Rejoicing at 'averages' is a poor way to look at how many leave school prepared for the next level of education or life.
    ---
Even if the MCSD wants to use averages as an acceptable situation, one thing is absolute.. Muscogee County scores brought down the overall state averages in every class, every subject.

L-E story: "“It really hasn’t changed anything for us,” Collins said. “But now I have a legal document saying we are married and no one can take that away from us.” -- Heh, heh, heh... welcome to reality of Divorce Court....

From Dusty Nix's commentary in the L-E: "Almost as significant as the lottery , if considerably less flashy, was the then-governor’s successful effort to have the state sales tax removed from food. For millions of working Georgians, “tax relief” has for the last two decades meant relief from the most onerous and tyrannical kind of tax there is — a tax on the fundamental necessities of life. " -- " most onerous and tyrannical kind of tax there is — a tax on the fundamental necessities of life"? I'm not sure "most onerous" is as absolute as Dusty exclaims.. to me, the "most onerous" tax situation in the City and State is that there is no sales tax collected on the recreation fees associated with the Whitewater Project. There are access fees, but none of those benefit the lower income families.
    ---
Let's see... after burying the George Zimmerman trial in the inner folds of the L-E for days, the L-E missed including it at all in today's edition. No AP, no National syndicated commentary, no Karl Douglass comments either. That's a particular shame as Karl Douglass was involved in the initial persecution of George Zimmerman, and in the 'I am Trayvon Martin 'Hoodie" March'.
    ---
The L-E did manage to include twisted dagger commentary on Paula Deen today, though it absolutely ignored the (_*_) B*ldwin slurs. That's especially (what's that Dusty Nix word... oh, yeah) onerous since the L-E's 'above the fold' front page story was on homosexual/lesbian issues.
    ---
L-E story: "MENLO PARK, Calif. — Facebook is pulling ads from pages that contain violence or sexual content. " -- Hmm, wouldn't we all be better off if Facebook pulled the Facebook pages that contain violence or sexual content? On the other hand, Facebook editors probably enjoy the pages that contain violence and sexual content.

With July 4th coming soon, the FBI has issued warnings that officials be on the look out for fireworks being used as bombs. Personally, I wish the FBI would be more concerned with bombs being used as fireworks.
