From the "hopefully lessons will be learned" department - Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL opened for the new school year..Student now have clear plastic backpacks, and have to enter/exit through a single school access point..Maybe this will be a great learning point for them...when you give up freedom for government enforce safety, there is a big price to pay...and regardless how DIMocrats "spin it", this is what socialism is.

Good grief..after having his security clearance revoked, former CIA director John Brennan tweeted that he considered Trump's action as curtailing his "freedom of speech"... excuse me? Under what law does Brennan feel he had freedom of speech concerning classified and top secret information.? To be honest, I do not understand how any head of an US information accumulating federal agency can leave office without all the locks and passwords changed BEFORE he/she gets out the front door.

More good economic news... retail sales jumped .05 % in July compared to Wall Street expectations of .02%..This is an increase of 150% over expectations. Now, did Columbus benefit from this..my guess is "no" based on our recent history of retail store closings and under-collections of expected LOST-SPLOST tax revenues.
