Online headline: "NBC/WSJ poll: Trump approval 'remarkably stable' after a stormy week of bad news * But 56 percent of voters say Trump has not been honest and truthful about the Mueller probe." -- First, if 95% of the news you heard was one-issue propaganda of hatred for a person just existing, you would start believing what you hear.. but, you know...the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition would be doing the same things they are doing to President Trump if any other Republican has beaten Hellary..while there wasn't much chance of that happening (but it could have). Of course had Trump not won, no other Republican would have gotten the tax cuts passed, the job increases, companies moving back to America, gotten the economy and stock market and retirement accounts soaring, or gotten a conservative candidate nominated and approved for the Supreme Court.

From the "bias? What bias?'" department - New York Times online story: "President Trump offered his “deepest sympathies and respect” to the family of Senator John McCain on Saturday night, setting aside a years long, bitter and often deeply personal feud between the two men that had lasted into the senator’s final days. * The president shared his condolences in a tweet, shortly after it was announced that Mr. McCain, who had been battling brain cancer, had died. * Mr. McCain, a former prisoner of war in Vietnam who rose to power as a prominent Republican politician, emerged as an early and vocal critic from within Mr. Trump’s own party." -- Good grief.. "Mr McCain... Mr Trump"? The NYT couldn't even get through a eulogistic story without "dissing" Senator McCain and President Trump...

So Oprah is shelling out $90 MILLION on her new mansion.. proud for her success... but it sure does put a question about her stances on humanity.. her "Oprah Show" could have staged an audience of 246 homeless people and given them all $250,000.00 homes had over $28,000,000.00 left to build her own mansion.

Oh! The new "Poop Patrol" is part of the city’s Pit Stop program, which also provides staffed public toilets around the downtown areas. Wonder if the attendants offer cologne for their patrons..well, it is San Francisco.

MSNBC had a DIMocrat spinmeister on Friday who actually tried to convince the MSNBC panel that a Department of Education program which would allow schools the option to use grant money to arm and train teachers to be able to thwart an attack by a shooter should not be allowed because some teachers might discipline brown or black students by shooting them. ..and nobody on the MSNBC stepped up to challenge such stupidity. WE have to assume any MSNBC "rating figures" above ZERO are 'fake news'.

How does granting immunity to a criminal benefit justice? Our Constitution protects individual rights better than any other Constitution in the world. We have a right to a speedy trial, a fair trial, a trial by a jury of one's peers, even legal representation whether its personally affordable or not, so how does "paying off" someone who has an illegal mess on his/her hands to say bad things about someone else and not be responsible for the damage...or for the real crimes he/she committed. Technically, such a witness cannot even be fairly cross examined by the defendants attorney. Now, offering protective custody or even a reduced, but adequate (for the crime) sentence can be a useful tool, but immunity..it's just not what should done in America.

Sweatpants, shorts, skirts, dresses, pants, religious headwear, athletic attire and clothing with logos are also allowed. *Meanwhile, the youth are barred from wearing anything with language or imagery promoting drugs, alcohol, violence, hate speech, profanity or pornography, as well as visible underwear or bathing suits. * Reps for AUSD told the Chronicle that school board officials agreed to change the dress code after some female students complained about feeling body-shamed from enforcement of the old dress code last year." -- heh heh heh.."some female students complained about feeling body-shamed from enforcement of the old dress code last year? You know, there's a lot of good to be said about Jeff Sessions...and I believe he was right in recusing himself from the current Trump Inquisition, but I think he was wrong in allowing Mueller to head it up. That said, I agree with President Trump that Sessions should have initiated a separate team to go after the FBI personnel and the DOJ personnel who collaborated with Hellary and Obama and Mueller.

As we get ready for the new football season, my main rule question of this year is the same as the last few years...If the defense cannot grab..even unintentionally...the facemask of a ballcarrier , why is the runner allowed to stick his arm/hand out and put/Jamie into the tacklers facemask/helmet? It's the same ...it's controlling the other player through this equipment.

Columbus Council Agenda:
Columbus Council Agenda:
"CITY MANAGER’S AGENDA TIA SPIDERWEB NETWORK PROJECT : Approval is requested to enter into a supplemental agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to adjust the engineering services and ROW budget for the TIA Spiderweb Network Project. The Spiderweb Network Project is a 2012 Transportation Investment Act project for the development of a bridge over the Norfolk Southern railroad that crosses Buena Vista Road near the intersections of Illges and Andrews Roads. The project was approved by the voters in 2013, for total budget of $40 million dollars. As the project has developed, so have the costs to complete the necessary engineering. The original budget set the cost at $2,484,684 for preliminary engineering, with the understanding that a cost to provide the final plans would be established later. That cost has now been determined to increase by another $2 million for a total of $4,484,684." -- First, what is "necessary engineering"? Sounds to me like an examination and planning project... How does such run $2 MILLION over original budgeting?

One other Council discussion will be about letting officer take their "take home" vehicles to their homes in other counties and/or states, but that's not what the program was trying to accomplish. One of the benefits of the take home vehicles was to park them in driveways as visible objects of police presence.. which should.. could.. act as an additional deterrence to criminal activity.. Of course, there is a win-win solution.. such officers can move back into Columbus.. which adds the additional benefits of not only them being closer to "duty", but also paying property taxes in Columbus, not other cities/schools/states.. Carrying it a bit further, why not require ALL Muscogee County/Columbus employees live in Columbus so all those tax revenues will be paid into the community that employs them... AND, all would be counted in OUR population counts so Columbus would benefit from state and federal distributions... and don't tell me this CAN"T be done.. it is elsewhere.

Guess the squeaky wheel does get oiled....sometimes" department - I mention a section of Cloverdale periodically because of it's horrific potholes...last week, obviously the City took notice, and came out and fixed them...all ELEVEN of them. Now, how long does it take for one-half of 1/10th of a mile of roadway to develop 11 potholes? Glad they are fixed...currently...but we'd had an obstacle course we all had as we discovered new potholes in the places we once zigged to avoid the one we knew about. You cannot but wonder if alignment shops pay the City a cut of every re-alignment job they get.
