It's not just Catholic governors who cheer partial birth abortions that we have to question about their Christianity... Last night, I was approached by an off-duty CPD police officer and asked to leave the downtown Catholic church parking lot because I was not a member. There were 4 cars in it, and no posted signs. Some brotherhood the Catholic church is trying to nurture.. I also wondered why we have an off-duty CPD officer guarding a pretty much empty parking lot after the latest list showing Columbus is not in the top 68 cities in GA considered "safe". The City talks a lot about there being so many unfilled slots in the CPD being a... if not "the"... reason for this, so.. why not "hire" our "off-duty officers' ]to work overtime during the tough shifts so our City can become safe again?

A reliable source says that a {1950s era bus" was :found" by our Metra Maintenance staff, and it's been refurbished to be used as an educational display. I guess the most educational aspect is learning a :1950s era bus" could be overlooked in the inventory for over 50 years.. Oh, and isn't it time we had some fresh blood involved in the architectural input? I'm purposefully giving new Mayor Henderson an extended grace period to show he can separate himself from the direction that Mayor Tom-LYING-son led the Council, but will have to prove himself.

A couple of weeks ago, I posted pictures of potholes on Cloverdale Road and sent them to the 311 Center and Council.. and the potholes got fixed. Today I'm posting pictures of replaced railroad cross-ties, and old spikes the Norfolk Southern Railway has just abandoned on the road side visible from Veterans Parkway..they were replaced years ago! Why doesn't Council.. or the Chamber of Commerce.. either remind Norfolk Southern of what an eyesore these are, or remove them and send Norfolk Southern the bill?

Last night,  both the movies available on the Hallmark channels were ones we'd seen too often  so we looked for something else.."Last Holiday" with Queen Latifah was on, and it's a favorite of ours so we changed to the WE channel to watch. We enjoyed it, but we also realize why we don't watch many channels other than Hallmark, HGTV, and the Food Channels ...the commercials on the WE channel were vile, crude, and some not even close to being "family fare".

Went to a MLK Day parade and event in Hamilton, GA yesterday at the invitation of a friend of mine. The last thing we need is lax sentences and early release program to put these felonious gang members back on the streets of Columbus.

While waiting for a traffic light to change at Veterans and Whitesville Road, I noticed a "Keno" banner draped on the handrail outside a bar and grill.. That's just wrong.. why does the state ALLOW any business that has "on premise" license to serve alcoholic beverages to offer gambling games.. I repeat,.. That's just wrong!

Former MCSB member Frank Myers made an interesting... and very valid .. comment on a Facebook discussion yesterday.. Governor Kemp should require the $5,000.00 ($3K next year, and 2K in subsequent bumps) to be used ONLY for teacher raises.. the last time one was given by the state, Superintendent Lewis "commandeered" it and spent a good chunk on other programs.

I just heard that the Atlanta Airport expects 120,000 SuperBowl attracted people will be leaving on Monday February 4th.. I know the stadium holds but 75,000, so what are the other 45,000.00 doing in Atlanta that weekend?

You would think Columbus' uber-liberal politicians would be up-at-arms!
