Well, Happy New Year!

Maybe some things will change in 2019...maybe Zeph will finally turn in his Campaign Disclosure Documents, and maybe we'll find out about the former Mayor's auto accident since no employees will be fearful about speaking up, but I'm gonna betcha we don't see an investigation about Jehmu Greene's groping charges against Calvin Smyre...With all the outrage falsely expresses by Democrats concerning Judge Kavanaugh, you'd have thought they would have gotten to the bottom of the Smyre aggression since it involved two Democrats, no political biases, and certainly a credible victim who had elevator video to back her claim...I'd have thought this would have been high on the list of top stories in Columbus in 2018...but the L-E...it just didn't say nothing.

From the "who says Mexico is not paying.... for The WALL?" department - Online headline/story: ":Mexican president proposes ‘free zone’ to attract investment, reduce migration to US * The Tax Incentive Decree for the Northern Border Region, which Lopez Obrador announced Saturday, would create a free zone that would stretch from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Coast and be more than 15 miles wide * Inside the zone, income taxes would be reduced by a third and Value Added Taxes on imported goods would be slashed in half, the minimum wage would increase 100 percent, and fuel prices would equal U.S. prices * others fear that Mexican companies, attracted by low taxes, might move to the free zone and create an overall loss of tax revenue for the country as a whole. * “If a lot of companies relocated to the border, then the Mexican government loses a fortune" -- and Mexico may have to build it's own wall to keep illegal alien criminals from crossing back INTO Mexico as well...

From the "ooops, my bad!" department - Online headline: "U.S. Strategic Command deletes New Year's Eve joke about dropping something 'bigger'" --- When I saw this, I first thought it might be a President Trump "tweet" reminding MSM-13 that Mad Dog Mattis is "no longer on board".

---
Have any of the naysayers bashing Trump looked at Mattis' "command record"? He "led an infantry battalion in Iraq in 1991, an expeditionary brigade in Afghanistan after the 9/11 terror attack in 2001, a Marine Division in the initial attack and subsequent stability operations in Iraq in 2003". When you look at the fact he didn't have a "walk-off home run" in any of them, Trump is right to make the call about pulling our soldiers out of Syria.

Pop Test! 1 - Name one inconvenience you've personally faced since non-essential government employees were sent home? 2- Name one service a non-essential government employee will provide you when back on the job?

Hmmm... was there any reason that all the fountains in downtown Columbus were shut down yesterday? Oh! Maybe it was a solidarity move that all the fountains shut down in commiseration of the always shut down Queen TT Lounge key-holder's last day in office.

Or maybe it was her last act as Ad Hoc member of the Columbus Water Works Board to highlight the end of  8 years of Columbus being flushed down the tubes...

---
Another Pop Test: "Who has the right of way on this Columbus sidewalk:
A. Pedestrians
B. Children on bicycles
C. US Postal Workers completing their duly appointed rounds
D. Car parking

For the record, this is on Mobley Road, but we have several such disaster throughout Columbus

---------------------------------------------------------
You know, Alabama did not beat Oklahoma 45-34...Bama beat the hell out of OK the first 20 minutes then let the Bowl Selection Committee sweat out how embarrassed they would be if Bama kept all 8 cylinders running. Selections should be great.. not "ok".

---
You would think that the Heisman Committee would learn from the old adage " Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, shame on Oklahoma". This is two times in a row the Heisman went to an OK (versus GREAT) QB and neither won a college game afterward.

---
Online headline: "Republican congressman calls on Trump to use ‘own funds’ to help pay for border wall" -- OK...then how about Congressmen paying for their staff out of their paychecks.

---
You know, if you voted for Trump in 2016, and are questioning your decision, remember, the only other choice was Hellary, and if MSM-13 has shaken you, it's because you're not looking through the MSM-13 propaganda attacks, and realizing what a better future Trump's action have created for us and our children, and grandchildren. Trump 2020!

---
Interesting three of the four Bowl games on January 1st will feature SEC teams and Alabama will play in the Championship game on January 7th.. hmmm...so four of the most important games left have SEC teams featured.

---
You know, I'd love to see, Pelosi, Schumer, Sch*tt, Warren, Biden, Obama, all three Clinton's, and the editor of the New York Times all answer the question, "Are walls ineffective or immoral at stopping illegal aliens and drugs coming into America?" while hooked up to a lie detector administered by a certified technician who is also connected to another lie detector.

---
It's appropriate...actually, more than appropriate, that the Philadelphia Eagles, have backed into the NFL playoffs. After all, the NFL has not welcomed the National symbol into it's arena's in several seasons now.

---
M/C L-E "HeadLIE": "House Democrats to vote Thursday on ending government shutdown" -- Wrong...Pelosi and company will throw a temper-tantrum that won't get past McConnell's desk.

---
From the "completely out-of-touch-with-reality" department -- Did you see the full page L-E ad today? The patting-oneself-on-the-back ad? "A New Year's Message to Ledger-Enquirer Readers * 2019 Our Best to You * Providing you with quality journalism - honest, balanced and reliable - is at the heart of our mission." Talk about "FAKE NEWS"!
