Online headline: "Trump floats ending shutdown with a 'down payment' on wall, but Pelosi doesn't blink" -- "Pelosi doesn't blink"? It's more like "Pelosi doesn't THINK!". Once again, Trump gives her an opportunity to show she's something more than a stumbling block to reopening the government, and she proves she can't be trusted with keeping her promise to negotiate AFTER if Trump will sign a bill to reopen the government first.

From the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" department - Online story: "North Korean leader Kim Jong Un praised President Donald Trump on Thursday for his "unusual determination" to secure a second summit meeting between the two." -- Hmmm... looks like Queen Pelosi has just secured her legacy... being the Kim Jong Oooops of America.. Like Kim Jong Oooops, Pelosi could have shown the world she is a leader..

From the "here he comes again" department - Breaking News NYTimes headline: "Roger Stone, Adviser to Trump, Is Indicted in Mueller Investigation" -- Good grief... to start with, an indictment is not a conviction, nor has any Mueller indicted actually been taken to trial and convicted... and none have been indicted over anything actually on a Trump connection.. Mueller's whole indictment scheme has been to find people who have known Trump, trap them into some other situational lie, then coerce them into a plea bargain to avoid jail time. The 50's had McCarthy, the 20-teens have Mueller.. and the NYTimes.

I saw a Facebook posting that really fillets the Democrats.. "First Time In 50 Years the left finally sticks up for a Vietnam Vet and it turns out he was never there." -- Sorta confirms that the left not only hates Christians more that the military, but it also exposes the irony of the left's condemnation of the military for being baby killers, while idolizing baby killing Planned Parenthood as being their savior..

This is purely a local Columbus, GA issue..but a good solution..Kadie the cow began her life as the symbol for Kinnett's Dairy, then was adopted by "Best Buy". well, because it was there, and initial plans to get rid of it brought public wrath upon Best Buy. . Now, Best Buy" is picking up it's business and moving northward, and Kadie isn't invited. Chick-fil-A has expressed interest in Kadie mooooo-ving across the street to it's home. Sounds like a good match to me.

Monday's "Weekend Update Edition of the Breakfast Club" will have a different aspect than most.. I'm going to ditch Fox News, and watch CNN when I look at news on TV.. not for the News itself, but to "take names" of CNN advertisers. I'll post them Monday and we can possibly affect the CNN "take" on the news by boycotting CNN's advertisers.

I've always been a Coca Cola man, and Coca Cola just endeared itself to me even more with their decision NOT to advertise during the Super Bowl this year..Instead, Coca Cola is buying an ad just before the National Anthem is played in support of our military. our law enforcers, and. to quote Superman, "the American way.'

Online headline/story: "Texas Rancher Offers Land for Border Wall, Tells Pelosi: ‘Ma’am, I Don’t Know Where You Get Your Facts’ * Ruperto Escobar, a 75 year-old, seventh-generation Texas farmer, is offering to donate property to the federal government where it can build a border wall, because he has suffered a lifetime of harm due to illegal immigration. * “I say ma'am, I don't know where you get your facts but from what we have endured, my lifetime, which is about 75 years now of seeing the number of illegals coming across here trampling over our fences the drug dealers tearing down our gates. That is immoral. And, we’re tired of it. We need that wall.”" -- And MSM-13 cannot understand why Trump's approval ratings with Latinos has jumped from 31% to 50% in recent moths.. Hurry, 2020, hurry fast!

From the "now, what's that definition of insanity.. again?" department - Online headline/story: "2020 ELECTIONS * Dems go all-out to land top Senate recruit: Stacey Abrams * “The Democratic Party certainly needs candidates like Stacey Abrams, (State Rep. Al Williams, a close ally of Abrams) said." -- Hmmm... as I recollect, the Dems were pretty much ALL IN on Abrams this past election, and Georgia conservatives gave her the highest vote total against a Democrat EVER!

From a local standpoint, it appears former Columbus Mayor, Queen TT Tom-LYING-son, just had the political door slammed in her face for 2020.. unless, of course, she goes after current Congressman Sanford Bishop in District 2. Hmmm... and if I had to choose between those two, I'd move to District 3.. Wait! I am already in District 3.. whew!

Saw a poll yesterday which said 51% of people blamed Trump for the "shut down". "blamed"? I think most of us give Trump "credit" for calling out Pelosi's lack of leadership skills.

---
CNN headline/story: "Trump says he won't give State of the Union during shutdown after being disinvited by Pelosi * President Donald Trump made a concession to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi late Wednesday, agreeing to not give a State of the Union address until after the government shutdown standoff has ended." -- "disinvited"? More like ":dissed"... Good grief...I use to think it was a 13-way tie, but CNN may be the least intelligent of all the MSM-13 sheep. Trump has Pelosi digging her hole deeper and he's just not going to get in her way.

M/C L-E headline/story: "Phenix City Schools needs help paying for Central Red Devils’ football championship rings * The rings cost approximately $235 each. So with more than 200 recipients (players, coaches, managers, trainers and cheerleaders), the fundraising goal is $50,000 before the team’s Feb. 10 banquet, where the rings are scheduled to be presented" -- Good grief..A Super Bowl one,.. even a NCAA National Championship one are sorta understandable, but $50-plus -thousand of a costume jewelry ring.. something is warped here.. very warped when another teacher could be hired, for that. The school board should prohibit any contact with the ring company and schools..

M/C L-E headline/story: "MR. PERFECT * Freshman Academy student Dalton Goodson made a perfect score (1,000) on his Microsoft PowerPoint Credential Test. Microsoft also ranked him as third in the state for his score." -- Nowhere but in academia can having a perfect score by three people have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.. any other venue would either have a tie-breaker system, or .. most properly.. declare the three as Co-Champs! I have a question though.. actually two questions.. where is "Freshman Academy" located, and why weren't pictures of 1st and 2nd place shown also?

M/C L-E headline: "Columbus’ December jobless rate up, but not highest in Ga." -- Good grief.. the L-E either cannot.. or will not.. report the truth without a qualifier trying to water it down.. Just because there are places in GA with worse (another being Albany.. which is also a Congressman Bishop stronghold... ) stats, doesn't hide the problem in Columbus... the aftermath.. and legacy of ex-mayor Tom-LYING-son. With a new mayor, Council has a chance to move in a better direction... if... if it will take take it.. Of course, it will be a real uphill battle since Columbus now has a trifecta of Hugleys to overcome.. Think about it.. some people complain about wrongly feeling some old Columbus families are holding Columbus under their thumbs.. but reality is that a relatively new "family" has taken over. Our City Manager, our School Board Chairperson, and the Democrat Party "whip" in the GA House all share the Hugley name..
