From the "when libs get down to it, it's all about me and the money" department - Online headline/story: "Competing women's march efforts in New York City undercut by infighting, anti-Semitism scandal * Women’s March Inc. — the group behind the historic first march in D.C. in 2017 — is holding a rally in Foley Square from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to a city Parks Department permit granted Friday. * Meanwhile, the Women’s March Alliance – an unaffiliated local group that has spearheaded events in the city for the last two years — has also secured a permit for Saturday. And their march, near Columbus Circle, will also kick off 11 a.m. * The dueling events are a product of an ugly feud over what and who should be represented in the women’s marches." -- Good grief.. I know, let's let a member of MSM-13 decide which group to support... I suggest PMS-NBC!

From the "we were... ARE... right! department - Online headline/story: "Report: FBI probed whether Trump secretly worked for Russia * The New York Times reports that law enforcement officials became so concerned by President Donald Trump's behavior in the days after he fired FBI Director James Comey that they began investigating whether he had been working for Russia against U.S. interests. * The report, published late Friday, cites unnamed former law enforcement officials and others familiar with the investigation." -- ""working for the Russians... SECRETLY". Good grief, Trump doesn't do anything SECRETLY! ?What a quandary! Do we now BELIEVE the NYTimes? Is the NYTimes having "guilt syndromes" that it allowed the Obama FBI administration to act above decency... and the law? One thing for sure is that if the NYTimes is trying to regain it's credibility, then Mueller IS running a "witch hunt"! As the Queen of Hearts would say, "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!"

From the "another Democrat makes a Jim Acosta observation" department - Online headline/story: "Huge migrant teen detention camp in Texas shutting down * The tent city in Tornillo, Texas, is shutting down, and all tents and equipment will be removed from the site by the end of January, said Krista Piferrer, spokeswoman of BCFS Health and Human Services. * The Tornillo facility opened in June in an isolated pocket of the Texas desert with capacity for 360 children. It expanded into a guarded detention camp that in mid-December held more than 2,700 largely Central American teens in rows of canvas tents. * Teens with identical haircuts and government-issued shirts and pants could be seen walking single file from tent to tent, flanked by staff at the front and back. * Politicians and advocates for immigrants and human rights protested at the site over the seven months it was open, with some even taking up vigils. * "It was chilling to see thousands of children locked up in a tent prison in the desert. It's great news that those children have finally been moved out of Tornillo," said Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley, a Democrat who in December introduced the Shut Down Child Prison Camps Act." -- Hmmm.. well, well, well, Senator Merkley... thanks for showing us... like Jim Acosta did last week, that WALL WORK! If walls had been there, none of the teens would have been in that "tent city" at all!

A woman who has been comatose for 10 years gave birth to a baby ...A lawyer for the woman's family meanwhile said they are "traumatized and in shock" by the "abuse and neglect" of their daughter but that "the baby boy has been born into a loving family and will be well cared for." * The San Carlos Apache Tribe said in a statement to NBC affiliate KPNX of Phoenix that the woman is a 29-year-old member of the tribe, and that she has been in a persistent vegetative state and coma for over a decade." -- Obviously, some one who is twisted and sick impregnated the woman, but there has to be a lot more to this story than is being addressed here.. first, was the woman comatose but breathing on her own.. or had the woman been on life support for 10 years? That's important as "somebody" has received an awful lot of money that seems contrary to most medical protocols. Secondly, when was the last time the woman's family had visited her? Surely, there would have been outwardly visible signs of pregnancy to call attention to this atrocity.

From the "Hark! I see a stage-light shining on the truth " department - Online story: "Cher wants the government shutdown to end — even if it means giving President Trump money for his border wall. *The legendary singer and outspoken liberal activist tweeted out her concerns for the American people if the shutdown remains in effect. Cher exclaimed on Wednesday, “FOR trump THIS IS POLITICAL..BUT REAL PPL ARE REALLY SUFFERING.” She called Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, a “hero,” but added “LET HIM HAVE HIS FKNG MONEY.” " -- Whoa! When Hollywood shines a light of truth on Democrats, we know America is becoming Great Again! Hey, Cher.. it's not Trump's money.. but at least you're looking at the source of the problem by calling out Pelosi!

More Cher: "In a now-deleted tweet, Cher warned that Democrats are vulnerable to the political fall out over the shutdown, and that their current refusal to negotiate makes them look like “obstructionist swamp scum.” * “DEMS,STOP SHUTDOWN B4 TRUMP DOES,” she wrote. “HELL B HERO & MAKE U LOOK LIKE OBSTRUCTIONIST SWAMP SCUM‼️ “HE HAS NO SCRUPLES.HES PLAYING IT RIIGHT,& UR PLAYING RIGHT IN2 HIS HANDS.HE’LL EAT UR LUNCH & STEAL UR LUNCH ‼️YOU’LL B FKD 6 WAYS 2 SUNDAY, DONT DIE ON THIS HILL.HE STOPS AT NOTHING.” -- Hmmm... if Cher can "get it", there's hope the Democratic voter base can "get it", too.

Point to ponder: "Who did liberals blame for "climate change" before man was created?

Online headline/story: "Top Voting Machine Vendor Admits It Installed Remote-Access Software on Systems Sold to States * In a letter sent to Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) in April, (ES&S) acknowledged that it had "provided pcAnywhere remote connection software … to a small number of customers between 2000 and 2006," which was installed on the election-management system * in February... a spokesperson said ES&S had never installed pcAnywhere on any election system it sold. "None of the employees, … including long-tenured employees, has any knowledge that our voting systems have ever been sold with remote-access software," the spokesperson said." -- What a DEMOCRAT cover up of pertinent information 6-plus months BEFORE the November Elections! This calls for the immediate disclosure of where voting machines were used, and further scrutiny of vote tallies as a result..

Heard cable news ratings...even Fox News/FBN...is down...Most could not possibly get higher as they aren't on my watch list, but Fox is no surprise... the more they show Juan William's, the constant flow of Democrat spinmeisters, Shepard Smith, Chris Wallace, ..and even Brett Baier and Neil Cavuto, the quicker I change channels.

---
From the "if anyone knows about wasting time, Pelosi does" department - Online headline: "Pelosi blasts Treasury Secretary Mnuchin after briefing for 'wasting' lawmakers' time" -- You know.. if anyone was "wasting time", it was Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin... his trying to explain economics and logic to Pelosi & Company was as futile as Jim Acosta explaining how "walls don't work" at the border..

---
What an amazin' story...the Alexandia Ocasio-Cortez one...she's moved from a minimum wage existence to a high paid minimum efficiency job in less than a year. I wouldn't call it an American success story...well...maybe if you could relabel it a Democratic Party success story...

---
Let's see..in addition to the holdover issues left by Tom-LYING-son's departure..
her accident, Zeph's Financial disclosures, Queen TT Lounge keys, River Road Roundabout, wasted 'study funding' on high-speed rail and Phenix City traffic jams on J R Allen Parkway et al, I've 2 new challenges for Council to address...when will new @columbusga.org e-mail addresses be posted for the new Councilors and Mayor, and when will the potholes on Cloverdale be fixed?

You know.. there needs to be more clarity in SPLOST proposals that citizens vote on.. Money asked for to repair school roofs in previous SPLOSTs is being diverted to renovating a high school baseball field...this..in a word is just ... WRONG! Whether the funds were not needed immediately or repairs came in a bit lower that projected, roofs are roofs, and they will need more repairs in the future, and that money should have either been "refunded" (via a millage adjustment) or put in escrow for future roof repairs.

From the "semantics" department - M/C L-E "HEADLIE" -- Claflin School restoration underway with facility set to open in 2020" -- "restoration"? NOT! At best it is a renovation or reclamation since it is not being "RESTORED" as a school facility/museum.

From the "hang tough, President Trump" department - M/C story: "The partial government shutdown was on track Friday to become the longest closure in U.S. history as President Donald Trump and nervous Republicans scrambled to find a way out of the mess. A solution couldn’t come soon enough for federal workers who got pay statements Friday but no pay. * The House and Senate voted to give federal workers back pay whenever the federal government reopens and then left town for the weekend" -- You know, I have no issue with those essential federal workers getting "paid" as they have been on the job, but President Trump.. do not sign it for the 'non-essentials' who've basically shown they probably are needed anyway.. I wonder how many of the 300,000-400,000 Obama put on the federal payroll his last two year is office fit into the 'non-essential' category?

Praise God for the return of Jayme Closs to her family.. now, let's hope we can praise our court system for eliminating the the killer/abductor!

---
Online story: "After four intruders broke into his home, an Arizona man shot all four, killing one, according to authorities." -- We need to start a GoFundMe page to buy this patriot/hero some more shooting lessons to improve his accuracy!

---
Heard there's new "stationary" exercise equipment coming out.. it's called the "Pelosi-ton...you work your butt off and get nowhere fast...sorta an exercise in futility.

---
Let's see..Donald Trump said if you elected him, he'd build a secure wall on our border..and he keeps his promises. Now, it doesn't matter whether Pelosi promised not to build a wall or not to get elected.. she never has kept a promise that's helped America.

Online headline/story: "Dems fly to Puerto Rico on chartered jet, meet with lobbyists, see 'Hamilton' as shutdown drags on * Despite a partial government shutdown with no end in sight, “This year’s winter retreat promises to be our most widely attended yet with over 220 guests (Around 109 lobbyists and corporate executives are named in a memo ), including 39 Members of Congress and CHC BOLD PAC supporters expected to attend and participate!” * they also planned to see a special performance of the hit Broadway show “Hamilton.” * The chartered jet that carried the attendees also brought 250 pounds of donated medical supplies. " -- Good grief.. 250 pounds of "medical supplies"..If the Dems had simply 'jettisoned" the lobbyists, they'd have had room for another 27500 POUNDS of "medical supplies - 109 times 250 (200 average per lobbyist plus another 50 pounds of luggage). It's ironic that the Dems left Washington's "snow" to take a "snow job" to Puerto Rico.. "Iconically", Senator Bob Menendez of NY was seem trying to "snow" a bikini clad woman om]=n the beach.. Now Menendez would be a great test for how effective a "wall" could be.. there should be one built between Menendez and the rest of society.
One more thought here.. since "Hamilton" has had a long run in the US near them, why would Dems go to Puerto Rico to see it?

From the "pass this along to Pelosi, Schumer, and MSM-13" department - Online headline/story: "'Do It All, Including the Wall': Obama-Era Border Chief Hits Back at 'Absurd' Border Wall Arguments * Mark Morgan, who led the U.S. Border Patrol during Barack Obama's presidency, said Saturday that he's in total agreement with President Trump's proposed border wall. * Morgan echoed President Trump's message to America by saying the current situation at the southern border is a "national security and humanitarian crisis. * Morgan said that while the use of new technology and added personnel at the border are effective, they don't solve the problems in and of themselves. *"We need to do it all, including the wall," he said." -- You know, the longer Pelosi and Schumer obstruct, the less likely voters will forget this at the next election...

---
You know, the Democrats need a new "mascot".. the K}Jackass is no longer enough.. I suggest the JacOstrich ... it would epitomize the Dem Party.. a head stuck up it's rear buried in the sand....

---
From the "it's a lie" department - Online headline:"Schumer to force vote on U.S. decision to lift sanctions on Russia firms" -- Good grief! Charlie Brown has a better chance at kicking the ball Lucy is holding! Schumer is unable to force FORCE ANYTHING on the Senate other than obstructionism.

I'm about done with Mariott...they serve Pepsi vs Coca Cola..even in Atlanta, Starbucks coffee, and Saturday night, the "King sized" bed we booked was so short, it must have been designed for Lord Farquaad of Shrek fame.

---
The breakfast at the Mariott was a first time experience for me...I wanted an omelet... you know ..when I think of an omelet, I expect at least 3 .. maybe 4 eggs.. but right in front of me was a menu with a "Two Egg Omelet"....I ordered it..it was pretty good, but in retrospect, I'm glad it wasn't a 3-egg omelet...it would have cost me $20.00 or more.

---
When I awoke this morning. I had a=n e-mail bill recap from the Mariott.. I got charged $5.00 for parking! No valet service, no protected parking.. just an open parking lot!

---
Pelosi is unmovable on spending $5.7 billion on border security, but is excited on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's "Green" plan. Well, the budget numbers are in, and they would bankrupt America fiscally..$49 TRILLION over 10 years...an average of $4.9 Trillion per year...which will exceed ...on it's own.. the US budget of $4 Trillion.

---
From the "now this is an ally" department - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday confirmed that Israel has struck hundreds of Iranian and Hezbollah targets in Syria, including a weapons facility in a weekend airstrike, as the military announced the discovery of a sixth and final tunnel dug by the Lebanese militant group for cross-border attacks." -- and it still mystifies me that American Jews still vote for the likes of Schumer...

---
From the "Bias? What bias?" department -Online headline/story: "CNN Poll: Trump bears most blame for shutdown * That proposal remains deeply unpopular with the public, according to the poll. Overall, 56% oppose a wall, 39% favor it. That's almost exactly the same as in December. And less than half view the situation at the border as a crisis (45% say it's a crisis, 52% that it is not)." -- Good grief.. even CNN can't analyze it's own poll results! At best, CNN cannot claim more than 10% of it's audience is not super-liberal, so it's really telling h=when less than 90% of those polled are against Trump.. Now, to be truthful, CNN should HAVE to say the Trump cheerfully accepts he pause for security versus the Democrat's position! Trump 2020!

L-E commentary headline: "Do you want to vote on a touchscreen, hand-marked ballot or ‘ballot printer?’" -- How about this,, each voter fill out a ballot, then.. ink their hands (both of them to avoid the opportunity to vote twice), and stamp them on the ballots, then scan all the hand/fingerprints to make sure that set is in the citizenship database only once and voted only once. Of course it would be a lot simpler to hold each major city's "Superintendent of Elections" to higher standards than today's.. perhaps each party should appoint one and they be handcuffed together so one cannot do anything without the other being there..

---
Think about this..what difference does it make for a federal worker to stay off the job because he/she's not drawing the paycheck until later? They still have the same amount of time on their hands to fill, and wouldn't getting their work DONE so it's not waiting for them to catch up to later be the best alternative instead of being idle?

---
From the "Jim Acosta question stack" department - M/C L-E headline: "Trump dodges question on whether he has worked for Russia" -- Good grief.. when it's not a credible question, there should be no response..

Now that I read where the Eagles are not going to reach the NFC or SuperBowl finals, not only will I not potentially watch either game, I will not even bother to read or report on such.. I will offer a prayer for the Pat's though, as Brady is one of us.. Trump 2020!
