After our church's live service ended Sunday, the ABC show "InvestigateTV" came on.. two names were mentioned... Sec of Transportation Mayhem Pete, and Sinator Raphael Warnock... while the subject matter of train issues was impactful, I was disappointed that Mayhem Pete and Sinator Warnock were not also subjects of INVESTIGATIONTV!

Ever wonder why the costs of "things" at Lululemon Stores are so high? Just watched a video of a walk-in "crash & dash" at the Lenox area of Atlanta, and the two women "clerks" were fired... FIRED.. because they yelled at the thugs to "stop".. "get out". That was bad enough, but...but then we learn that Lululemon doesn't want the police called in after such incidents because Lululemon doesn't want the "bad publicity" .. I hate to tell Lululemon that that image just, well, "__it hit the fan". Apparently, Lululemon is a bigger thief than the thugs that rob it! Obviously Lululemon is charging more than enough profit margin to make up the losses of "shoplifting". Hey, normally paying Lululemon customers... ask yourself "WHY you line up and pay for anything there!" Just pick out what you like, walk to the door, wave "good-bye" and "thank you" with your extended middle finger, and go enjoy you day.

A family member is on the "Scott's Miracle Ride" raising funds for a local hospital. I went online to the website and was making a nice donation, but when I got to the "check-out", I was prompted to ask if I wanted to increase our donation to pay the "3% processing charge". Hell, NO! I use a debit card for such online uses because it's not connected to my main accounts.... and debit card "swipes" fees are a pittance.. and I'm not paying the salaries of collectors. I wish the "card processor" had as much interest in getting the donations used as the donators wished rather than skimming 3% off for themselves...

Here's a little "retail" advice for "bud....light" and "Target"... even "The Northface" ...You won't "win friends" by catering special products trying to capture temporary loyalty for a specific time period.. Don't offend your customer base by singling out segments of society versus the majority ... Oh, and telling women that you value "pretend women" more is not a good way to present your products... Advertise, if you wish, support any... all.. special occasions/events, but to announce you group women and "women" together as one is not going to be met well with women.. or men.

Let's look back... he year... 1990... an idea to build a new baseball/outdoor music arena was proposed at a mayoral election forum at Peachtree Mall. A site was available where AutoNation is today. A new facility ... away from the Downtown area and the river.. in an area leading the growth of Columbus and Harris County that had better access and parking, and.. and a facility that would have been an attraction to the then recently announced Atlanta Olympics as a BASEBALL arena. An energy bolt went through the Council and media..discussion bubbled.. but then Council decided "N0".. it would cost about $7 Million...so Council decided to spend $1.9 Million on paint and Band-Aids to patch up Golden Park. 3 years later, a movement to go after Olympic softball was announced... and nearly $7 Million was spent to convert Golden Park to a softball facility...and minor league baseball in Columbus had it's throat slit, as Charlie Morrow's team was shuffled off Columbus State to wither. Golden Park still suffers from that conversion today. Looking back, how nice it would be to have a modern baseball/outdoor at the AutoNation location versus a 70+ year old crumbly facility.
