It's bad enough our Chamber sits on the sidelines in going after new businesses for Columbus, but now I understand that neither the Chamber nor Visitors ' Center has lifted a finger to help bring the GA Republican Convention here... Further more, I understand neither organization is participating in helping out with a "Welcome Kit".. I sure hope both prove this wrong. Oh.. and I hope ALL of our "non-partisan" elected officials will take time to attend a Convention event or two.. With a Republican Governor and Republican majorities in the GA House and Senate, Columbus GA will benefit more by welcoming the 3,500 Republican officials to Columbus .. That's right..yes, the Chamber and Visitors Center are yawning at 3,500 visitors enriching our City.....
