An unclaimed "balloon" of unknown purpose is maneuvering near our most western naval installation at a height that's in our commercial airline range, and it's still afloat in the air as we speak..Send one of our aircraft carrier jets up and "tailhook it" out of the sky!

I'm glad our new "temporary" Columbus, GA Council member for Post 10 is a financial wizard.. we sure need one watching out for what's going on ...I rarely.. if ever.. see the lawn debris trucks pick up our clippings but I did today.. I was shocked to see what appeared to be a brand new AM Waste garbage truck staffed with a driver and two workers instead of either an older City truck or one of the new ones that we've been told was why we had to start using the gargantuan cans the City makes us use.. in fact, I had just seen a billboard telling me not to forget how to "park" our cans on the curb...First, Council has approved using a private truck with higher paid workers than our City trucks which paid convicts lesser amounts.. How can private companies afford truly paid employees and do the job for less? Now.. for the rub.. if workers are going to handle these big cans, shouldn't we place the cans on the street with the handles facing outward )versus curb side) so the handlers don't have to turn them around before moving them to the trucks?

" -- Hey, we just opened up the "Banks" at the Chase Homes site and our 102 units (with 91 being government supplement rentals) for $30 Million, and it sounds like the "Mill Village" complex has more to offer.... of course they do have one thing thing in common... costing nearly $300.00 a sq ft in costs...some folks got rich on both of these!

(WTVM) - We are learning new details about how the Muscogee County jail is operating plus plans in the works for a new jail and sheriff’s office. * At last check, inmates were experiencing overcrowding and the building has been in rough shape due age and maintenance issues. * The jail’s current capacity is 1,069 inmates, and right now, the sheriff explained they are below capacity, sitting at roughly 1,050." -- First, having less than the maximum sorta contradicts the "overcrowding" claim, but.. and a very BIG BUT is that the City of Columbus recently approved 3 million dollars for a study that is underway now. That's right.. $3,000,000.00 for a study...$3 Million USE TO BUILD A BUILDING! Heck.. why not just give the 1,050 current inmates equal shares of that $3 Million ($2,857 worth of cash and one-way bus tickets) then close the jail down, move all the qualified jail personnel to our Police Department and save a ton of money while making out streets safer again...
