From the "Bias? What bias?" department - Online story: "(According to the New York Times), Trump has made several moves which could be seen as trying to control or limit the investigation into Russian interference in the election, such as firing FBI Director James Comey" -- First, any "investigation" should have a focus point and goal, this includes "journalistic investigations" as well as prosecutorial ones. Secondly, the New York Times still cannot deal with the fact that Comey was fired for .. well, basically, sedition in Trump's and the American people's eyes.

---
From the "and your point is?" department - Online headline: "Baffled Titanic expert says luxury ship should not have sunk after iceberg impact" -- "should not have sunk after iceberg impact"? Well... it DID! This "expert" must be trying to get a job on either the Mueller or the Hellary "ship" to explain to New York Times "What Happened" when they sank themselves.

---
Wow... MSM-13 is complaining that Trump's Cabinet is too wealthy to be in touch with the American people. DOH! I do believe the American people are breathing easier.. and better knowing SUCCESSFUL business and military leaders are helping guide America versus the sycophants the Community Organizer surrounded himself from 2008-2016.

---
Final words on the "Drag Queen" reading issue - actually, the uproar was not over reading books to children, it was about the cartoonish approach. Fortunately, stories were read and the saner heads realized that it was better communication of a life style that more "normal" attire was a better route to a purpose and goal..

M/C L-E headline/story: "Teen faces 12 counts of criminal gang charges after arrest during traffic stop * A teen faces gang participation charges after the vehicle he was driving failed to use a turn signal Friday from Armour Road to Airport Thruway, Columbus police said. * Jeremy Hildebrand, 18, of Columbus was taken into custody without incident during the 10:35 p.m. traffic stop where he didn’t have a state driver’s license. He was wanted on outstanding warrants that included 12 counts of participation in criminal gang activity, one count of kidnapping, hijacking a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He is held without bond in the Muscogee County Jail on the serious charges for a hearing in Recorder’s Court" -- This is not about an 18 year old being stopped for a blinker violation and being found not to have a driver's license.. it's about an 18 year old .. well, a convicted felon who's 18...and how..why...was an 18 year-old convicted felon already out of jail. Society cannot survive when felons know an arrest is just basically a temporary glitch in their lives. It's also about the M/C L-E referring to an already convicted felon being referred to as a "teen".. this "man" voluntarily gave up his childhood a long time ago.

With all the potholes I see when going about my routines, I wonder if there is more than 1 man/crew that is responsible for repairing them.. It is so rare to see any repairs being made that I'd like to know if anyone else has seen any getting fixed in the last month.

---
Online headline: "Top 2020 Democrats under fire for 'collective bashing of America' after Cuomo gaffe" -- As I think about November of 2020, I first think about the lack of a positive message that even DIMocrats, much less all Americans can rally behind...but then I realize that this is not the main flaw in the DIMocrats' strategy...the main issue is that the DIMocrats just don't have a positive messenger.

M/C L-E story: "The Columbus Historic District, with its unique architecture and close proximity to downtown, is a natural for Airbnb rentals for visitors to the city, be it an entire house, a small cottage or bungalow, or a quiet bedroom. * The Columbus Historic District, with its unique architecture and close proximity to downtown, is a natural for Airbnb rentals for visitors to the city, be it an entire house, a small cottage or bungalow, or a quiet bedroom. * Columbus is moving toward regulating the popular online lodging marketplace called Airbnb, which connects individuals wishing to rent their home, cottage or bedroom to those visiting the city and needing a place to stay. * The city’s Finance Department, along with the Building Inspections and Code Enforcement Department, has developed recommendations to amend a unified development ordinance that would require short-term property renters — referred to as hosts by Airbnb — to complete a number of steps before doing business. * The amended ordinance also would require short-term rental properties to have proper insurance, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and an exit escape plan in place for guests staying in rental homes. Hosts also would be required to have no unpaid financial obligations to the city before renting, while also notifying property owners of the rentals taking place should the host not own the dwelling themselves. * The new requirements received a mostly cold shoulder from the Columbus Planning Advisory Commission on Aug. 1. Eight members unanimously denied its approval of the ordinance change along the lines that it was being somewhat heavy-handed and placing another layer of regulation and costs on what now is simply a cottage industry in the city." -- The Planning Advisory Commission has this nailed.. This isn't a "Craig's List" operation.. Just to get approved to rent through AirBNB is pretty demanding, and I imagine AirBNB's requirements for hosts are even stricter. Once again, this sort of exposes why Columbus' economic ills have skyrocketed under the Mayor. It also explains why hotel rates are so high in Columbus for value.
Oh.. and why not give the AirBNB hosts a hand to justify all the nickle&dime fees and regulations.. How about fixing the STREETS so visitors don't leave with such a negative memory of what it's like in Columbus...

M/C L-E headline: "Target takes heat for dropping popcorn and Icees, while Starbucks fans rejoice" -- I don't know who does the marketing for Target .. or Starbucks, but Target is losing big time with my family..The main reasons my family shops at all in Targets is for prescriptions, but we can now get those at any other CVS Pharmacy and our granddaughter.. Our granddaughter loves the Icees and Popcorn trips there with her grandparents and her mother and aunts.. It's been an oft-planned "venture" that now is being replaced by trips through the Burger King across the street for an Icee drink which we take home, pop some Orville Reddenbacher popcorn and have an even better experience than doing this at Targets.. Oh, and at a minimum, the new Starbucks will basically cannibalize the existing Starbucks across the street as well. Now Targets has less to draw us in... Hmmm... I can live with this..

---
From the "Terrorism 101" department - M/C L-E story: "The judge in the death-penalty trial of those accused of helping to carry out the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks in the U.S. has ruled that prosecutors may not use key FBI interrogations conducted at the Guantánamo detention center soon after years of CIA black site abuse ended. * Under the war court system, confessions must be voluntary. So prosecutors had already pledged not to use what the captives told their CIA interrogators. Instead, prosecutors had planned to have FBI agents describe what the suspects told them soon after their 2006 transfers to Guantánamo." -- Good grief.. "confessions MUST be voluntary"? If I get attacked by a rabid dog, I am not going to try to win him over with an exclamation of, "Nice doggie.. good boy.. here smell my hand.. do you want a treat?... No, I'm going to pick up whatever is handy and beat the pulp out of it.. this was not a misdemeanor crime, this was a suckerpunch act of terrorism!

---
M/C headline: "A year after Charlottesville, there still is no progress" -- Yep.. MSM-13 is still ignoring and justifying the crimes of the antifa.

---
Did I see Council make a "no call" (so far) on enforcing the penalty for unpaid taxes on a major piece of commercial property at 2800 Manchester Expressway? Look like zero dollars of the 2016 and 2017 tax bills have been paid and are delinquent, and the 2018 tax bill has been sent.

---
Oh... and has Council ever raised the rent on property that the Mariott uses for parking (Parcel ID 003 014 002) that the Pezold's objected to Council selling? I believe the Pezolds felt it was worth $1.3 MILLION vs the $50K . Seems like the City is not maximizing the value of it's property,, especially considering it's assigned to the Development Authority which is a y=taxpayer funded entity.. OH,, is the Development Authority on the short-list of next City Departments to be audited?

---
From the "I have a suggestion as well" department - Online story: "Special Counsel Robert Mueller recommended in a court filing on Friday that a judge sentence former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos to up to six months in prison for lying to agents investigating Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election." -- Hmmm... and I'd like to recommend..that Mueller and his cohorts be sentenced to a special place in Hell for what they have put our country through.

---
From the "maybe she should re-title her book" department - Online story: "Manigault Newman has made clear that she plans to continue selectively releasing the pieces of evidence if President Donald Trump and his associates continue to attack her credibility and challenge the claims in her book, "Unhinged." * "Unhinged" has spent the past few days at No. 2 on Amazon.com's best-seller list, trailing only Rachel Hollis' lifestyle book "Girl, Wash Your Face." - Hmmm... so, her "book" is "Number 2".. How appropriate.. a "book" about "number 2" being "number 2".. Maybe she should change the title to get a shot at the lead.. How about "Girl, Wash Your Mouth Out With Soap". Of course, I guess it really doesn't matter since we aren't going to be watching, but it still won't help the NFL regain respect.

---
Online headline: "ESPN won't air anthem before Monday Night Football games, returning to prior practice" -- So... ESPN says it just won't show the National Anthem during the NFL pregame portion ..good grief..ESPN will be disrespecting our veterans, military, and law enforcement officers even more than the random pl@yers.

---
You know...how can MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition not feel good about more people working, and more people having more money in their pockets? Hmmm.. now that I think about it, with more people working and having more money in their pockets, the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition isn't really relevant anymore.

---
Think about what the Boston Globe did trying to bully Trump and the entire US Senate. The Globe colluded with 300 media outlets and got them all to run an anti-Trump opinion piece on the same day. This is not the guarantee that the Founding Fathers gave to the press in the 1st Amendment... No, the Founding Fathers wanted to protect the Freedom of the Press, not COLLUSION of the Press!

---
Maybe progress has been made.. When Cuomo said "America has never been great", MSM-13 not only basically ignored it, MSM-13 did not try to correct him by saying that Obama, Clinton, and Carter eras were exceptions.

---
Wow! I see Jehmu Greene...the woman who claimed Columbus' own Calvin Smyre groped her body in an elevator at the 1996 (film at 11:00) DIMocrat National Convention is back on the Fox News circuit. She looks vindicated and revitalized. Sounds like she may have gotten some "satisfaction" for her claim and troubles. I have wondered why Smyre hasn't been actively clearing his name.

---
Online headline: "Judge in Manafort trial says he's been threatened over case" -- You know, MSM-13 wanting the jurors names is tantamount to bullying and intimidation at a minimum...and more likely jury tampering.

---
Online headline: "GOP bill would let asylum seekers apply in Mexico, in bid to ease immigration court backlog" -- Good grief! Just BUILD the WALL Let Mexico feed and house them on its side of the border while each does the proper paperwork.

---
Online headline: "Ocasio-Cortez bans press from covering campaign event" -- Freedom of the Press? Ocasio-Cortez is banning them, but also remember when Hellary had her campaign staff literally "lasso" a 'herd' of reporters to keep them under control during her campaign.

---
MSM-13 just does not realize that supporting the Socialist_DIMocrat agenda towards overturning the 2nd Amendment is pretty much like signing their own death warrant.. Once the 2nd Amendment is violated, the 1st Amendment will be toast, also.

---
Colorado traffic jams are rumored to have become an unintended consequence of legalized recreational marijuana.. seems drivers at "STOP" signs want to wait until they see "GO" before moving.

---
Online headline/story: "DOJ's Bruce Ohr wrote Christopher Steele was 'very concerned about Comey's firing -- afraid they will be exposed' * A collection of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr's emails, texts and handwritten notes, reviewed by Fox News, reveals that he was deeply connected to the unverified Steele dossier as well as its author and, during the presidential election campaign, the alleged government surveillance abuses involving a Trump campaign official. * The dossier, which was used by federal officials to justify the surveillance of a top Trump aide, Carter Page, was created by Fusion GPS and paid for by Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee." -- These are not patriots... they are a cabal making acts of sedition as as defined by Congress in 1918.

---
From the "truth will set you free" department - Online headline/story: "Trump blames DC pols for delayed military parade, says he'll buy jet fighters instead and go to Paris * He then said he’ll instead “attend the big parade already scheduled at Andrews Air Force Base on a different date, & go to the Paris parade, celebrating the end of the War, on November 11th.” -- Remember earlier stories (from "unknown officials who wanted anonymity) that put the blame on it possibly costing over $90 MILLION? Now it's revealed that the local Washington mayor/council wanted $21.6 MILLION us allow it..Typical DIMocrat inability to see the big picture of how much economic impact the parade will bring annually , and how many Americans who would attend who'd never "take a knee" to disrespect out military and flag.

---
Online headline: "Georgia sets multiple labor records in July * State’s unemployment rate dips below 4 percent for the first time in more than 15 years" * At the same time, Georgia set records for jobs, labor force and number of employed residents as the state’s economy continued to boom" * “Georgia, like the nation, is in a period of continued economic growth,” the commissioner said. “We continue to set records in all the key metrics. This is a great time to live and work in Georgia.” -- Hmmm... Impressive as these numbers are, GA would have SHINED if it didn't have to include Columbus in the mix...

---
I really wish details would be written about that show why some local Columbusites are so interested in building a new Interstate connecting Columbus to Augusta.. The real important connections are getting Columbus connected to Savannah where major port improvement are making Savannah a huge trade center, and to Montgomery, AL/Meridian, MS so we are connected to Texas and beyond..

---
From the "let this be a lesson learned" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "More than $80K in private donations will be used to repair Heritage Park * A downtown Columbus city park that has fallen into disrepair is about to be restored to its original glory, thanks to more than $80,000 in private money that has been raised for the effort. * It was built in the late 1990s in a combined effort by two local nonprofit organizations, the Historic Columbus Foundation and Uptown Columbus Inc. More than $2.2 million in private funds were raised to build the park * The park opened in October 1999 and was given to the city, which now owns and maintains it. " -- "given to the City which now owns and maintains it"? Good grief.. needing $80,000 in private funds to repair what hasn't been maintained should be the reason the next Council Review should amend our charter that the City cannot accept privately constructed projects .. well, unless an permanent endowment be included for perpetual care.. Heritage is neither the first nor will be the last Columbus taxpayers are saddled with debts from donated projects.. just look at the Softball Stadium.. it was built with a lot of private donations (about $2.4 Million as I remember, and now the Columbus Sports Authority says it'll take over TWICE that amount ($5.6 Million) to repair what had been neglected for LACK of maintenance.. Oh. and let's not forget the latest "gift" to the City by the now defunct "Together 2016/17" group.. that "exercise park" near the RiverWalk..yep, we taxpayers are gonna have to replace and repair it. And on another similar subject, the City should make residential developers include a maintenance endowment for the streets they construct then "give" to the City.. what the developers have really given the taxpayers is a lifetime headache of debt to maintain a road that probably barely met minimum standards.

---
M/C L-E headline: "Jury reaches verdict in case of woman raped, burned" -- Well, don't for get shot, brutalized, and abandoned as well! I just hope the DA's office and judge do not disappoint the courageous woman who endured the crime AND the reliving of it in the Court Room. May all of them be "toast" before the sun sets following sentencing.

---
M/C L-E headline: "FOODIES CELEBRATE GRAND OPENING OF PHENIX CITY FOOD TRUCK PARK" -- Great event for Columbus.... NOT! All the sales tax revenues go to Phenix City and Alabama, and all the clean-up expenses of the 14th Street Bridge and Chattahoochee River are absorbed by Columbus taxpayers.

---
From the "now you know why Trump is loved" department - M/C L-E headline: "39 states have budget surpluses, and cities want that money" -- You know, Trump took the bull by the horns and reduced all income taxes UP FRONT so taxpayers would get before politicians did.. now you can see why.. when excess taxes are collected, then politicians feel it belongs to them.. here we have state and local authorities fighting each other for YOUR money!

---
Online headline: "Brennan is considering legal action to hit back after Trump revoked his security clearance" -- Hmmm... whatta analogy this is.. a big blowhard wolfish pig trying to huff and puff and blow the White House down.

---
Online headline/story: "Ex-sports doctor Nassar moved to another prison facility * The Federal Bureau of Prisons website on Sunday shows the former Michigan State University and USA Gymnastics doctor is at the Oklahoma Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City. * Nassar's attorneys said last month he was assaulted within hours of being placed in the general population at the Arizona federal prison." -- "assaulted within hours of being placed in the general population"? Well, the only thing better would be if he "had been ASSAULTED for HOURS".. perhaps been "pretzeled" to a position even the best gymnasts cannot achieve.

---
You know, when you see cars you dreamt of owning when you were growing up, and they are now called "Classics".. you realize that "Classic" is just a "politically correct" word for OLD.

---
From the "no wonder our young folks are confused" department - Online story: "A sign at a Houston elementary and middle school that sparked criticism on social media has been removed. * The Houston Independent School District says the sign that read, "The more you act like a lady, the more he'll act like a gentleman," was removed Friday night. * The sign was above a row of lockers in a girls' locker room" -- Good grief.. a quote that enforces a needed 'life lesson" that stood older generations well... for centuries... has been deemed misogynistic. SMH..

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "From the "we cut the grass every 3 weeks whether it needs it or not" department - M/C headline/story: "Overgrown grass along roads, in cemeteries has residents upset * Near J.R. Allen Parkway along Schomburg Road, a Bridlewood resident wants to know who maintains the right of way that’s suddenly filled with overgrown grass and bushes, while a 65-year-old woman is waiting until grass is cut before she attempts to place flowers on relatives graves in Porterdale and East Porterdale cemeteries. * While the city works to cover overgrown grass in neighborhoods, Biegler said the city appreciates people who mow the frontage at their home." -- Hmmm... the City "appreciates people who mow the frontage at their home"? Coulda fooled me..I have my grass on the right-of-way ant our home cut weekly... year-round, and I do not feel the "appreciation" of the City.. on top of my property taxes, the City charges me extra garbage fees, and I've yet to experience any road resurfacing that would make my home more attractive to people wanting to move into our neighborhood and increase the value of our home..

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Spoiler alert: State will start building bike trails at Standing Boy Creek in Columbus * “That” was the public meeting last week about the Standing Boy Creek Wildlife Management Area off old River Road in Columbus, currently used primarily for hunting, hiking, running, birdwatching, fishing, all that outdoorsy stuff." -- "Spoiler alert"? Looks more like a "WARNING".. A warning that hunters will soon have moving targets to enhance their experience.. Maybe the state should require bicyclers to buy/wear ORANGE spandex.

Aretha passed yesterday...but truly, no one can ever say "She's no longer with us."

---
It was weird... in a Jim Jones sort of way... for 76 people to overdose on K2/Spice at the same time and place in Connecticut. The victims in Jonestown, Guyana voluntarily consumed a special Jim Jones' Kool-Aid...hmmm and the 76 in Connecticut are still voluntarily consuming the DIMocrat Kool-Aid that's still available in heavy Blue States.

---
From the "now this is what collusion really is" department - Online "headline/story: "Senate votes to condemn Trump-like attacks on press * The U.S. Senate unanimously passed a resolution tacitly condemning President Donald Trump's attacks on the press Thursday. * While the resolution did not mention President Trump by name, it affirmed that "the press is not the enemy of the people," as the president has claimed repeatedly. * The move comes on the same day more than 300 publications across the country ran editorials criticizing the president's rhetoric. * The Boston Globe organized the effort and says the president's comments aim to undermine trust in the press and threaten press freedom. " -- Good grief.. WE expect crap like this from the DIMocrat-Socialist, but the Republicans should be ashamed.. The Senate has basically said that the President.. he head of our country.. is not afforded the rights of the 1st Amendment. Ironically, it's Trump's stand-up-to-the-establishment courage that got him elected by the people...With all the "talk" about non-proven "collusion" BY the president, we have just seen to absolute ACTS of collusion by the Senate and the MSM-13! Thank goodness for the patriots of America seeing through the collusive relationship of politicians and the MSM-13 and electing Trump. Fortunately, like the US Senate, the resolution HAS NO BALLS!

Hey, Founding Fathers, thank you for our Constitution.. and we're sorry you're having to see this collusive attack on it , Guess this is one of those cases you prepared us for...a domestic attack on our country's future.

Note of conflict... intentionally by MSM-13: In the story, MSM-13 triumphantly claims a "unanimous vote", yet in another story, Mitch McConnell says 10 mostly Republicans did not show up for Thursday votes. Where can I get a list of the "no shows" and the Republicans who did show and voted to pass that resolution?

---
HMMM... how can MSM-13 continue to blindly support Obama? Remember when Obama stated our GDP would never return to above 2%, yet he's out trying to claim credit for Trump getting it back over 4%.

---
Online headline/story: "Trump's military parade planned for November postponed: Pentagon * A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said it was unclear exactly what caused the postponement but the increased cost of the event had caused concern and could be one reason. * The official said the cost estimate of about $92 million had not yet been approved by Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and could still be changed and more options could be included. * Earlier this year, the White House budget chief said the parade would cost U.S. taxpayers between $10 million and $30 million." -- Here we go again.. a MSM-13 "story" based on an "unnamed U.S. official speaking on a condition of anonymity". My money is on that Trump ordered the Pentagon to stop because Trump disagrees with the cost the Pentagon is projecting, and until he can locate and fire the "unnamed official".

---
Can you imagine if a Republican Governor had made the comment that NY Gov Cuomo made..."that America has never been great"? Every MSM-13 would be calling for his/her resignation or for a recall election. Yet, with Cuomo, MSM-13 yawned.

---
You know..NY Gov Cuomo is trying to walk-back his ever revealing comment about "America never been that great"..even Cynthia Nixon is raking him over the coals.... Hmmm, you know, I didn't realize how desperate Nixon is...to be honest, I thought she thought what Cuomo said long before Cuomo said it.

---
From the "this is "what happened" department - Online headline: "Hillary Clinton tells girl who knelt for Pledge of Allegiance to 'keep up the good work'" -- This is from the woman (and I'm using a very broad definition of woman) who felt she was OWED the presidency...Of course, she could have proven Obama right on some issues.. such as our GDP ever attaining 2% growth again, or American companies and jobs returning from overseas.

---
From the 'samo-Columbus-samo' department - Online headline/story: "Another luxury European car manufacturer wants a piece of Georgia * Like Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz and Porsche HQs, Jaguar Land Rover aims to add its name to the state’s automotive roster * “Georgia just can’t stop winning international auto manufacturer facilities.” * That’s the way the CoStar Group put it on Twitter, announcing the news that Jaguar Land Rover Classics is soon to set up shop in Savannah. * Under Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal, the state has become a welcoming place for auto manufacturers (unlike casinos) to develop home bases, with incentives packages and tax breaks luring them to the Peach State." -- Columbus keeps condemning it's own future... Columbus voters are out-of-step with reality.. In 2012, Muscogee County overwhelmingly (63%) went for Obama, and in 2016, over 58% voted for Hellary. and in 2014, 59% voted for Jason Carter. (What's scary about the 2014 vote for Jason Carter is that Sumter County gave Carter a smaller percent of it's vote than Muscogee did). With out-of-step voting like this, we know why Columbus' economy id floundering under the current Mayor and Council.

---
John Yoo, a former Deputy Assistant Attorney General says Manafort's position was weak because his defense team did not put up one..it put up no witnesses of it's own. Excuse, but why would a defense attorney put up it's own witnesses and tell the jury that it feels the prosecutors witnesses made their points?

---
California DIMocrat Rep. Adam Schiff is trying to establish John Brennan is now on Trump's "enemy list".. other than Schiff not really knowing what he's talking about in saying Trump HAS an enemies list, I imagine Schiff already has Brennan on HIS personal enemy list since Brennan actually lied about his knowing that the CIA was listening in on random phone conversations of American citizens.

---
From the "every dark cloud has a silver lining" department - One of my BCers made an astute observation about a problem that's plagued the local libraries... parents just randomly dropping off their kids to run around the libraries without parental supervision. Now that the Drag Queens are planning to show up monthly for 'story hour' in various area libraries, parents will not be as likely to just drop their kids off indiscriminately.

---
I've just been disillusioned... I love duct tape... it has been the fallback to fixing so many things that needed a quick..if only temporary... fix. I recently used some to hold together a broken tent post for the Law Enforcement Night Out event in our neighborhood..it worked and got us through the event. Yesterday, I had my duct tape bubble burst..somebody posted the even duct tape cannot "fix stupid".

---
Austin Tice.. a Marine and freelance photographer....believed to be under "containment" by the Syrian despot Basher ASSwad for the past 6 years...hmmm.. how come we're only hearing about him now? Why didn't Obama get him out when he was drawing his "line in the sand" in response to ASSwad's crimes against humanity?

---
Online headline: "Georgia election officials warn of ‘chaos’ if judge orders paper ballots" -- I tell you what.. if we go back to "paper ballots", then we need to eliminated "early voting".. Can you not see the peril in having a room full of DIMocrat poll watchers sitting around a stack of paper ballots on a slow turnout day at the early stations?

---
M/C L-E headline: "Manafort jurors ask judge to redefine a reasonable doubt" -- In my book, it reasonable doubt started the day Mueller's team introduced it's bribed witness.. How can anyone, especially a juror, be confident in the words and claims of a "witness" that's basically been promised freedom if he tells a jury what the prosecutors feel is the only way to convict another.

---
M/C L-E story: "Jurors heard graphic testimony Thursday from a woman who alleges a Columbus couple used her like a sex slave while she lived with them in the summer of 2012, when she was 13 years old." -- Hmmm... and if we have another "jury fail", maybe the Columbus Library will allow them to come and have a "Story Hour" and read about their" personal fetishes".. it does seem to appear that the MCSB/MCSD feels the library is open to all.

Online headline: "Smashing Trump’s Walk of Fame star was ‘rightful’ act, suspect says after pleading not guilty" -- EXCUSE ME! Why would you say your vandalism was a rightful act, but then plead not guilty to doing it? Just another snowflake...Oh.. and shame on the lawyer who defends him..because he/she advised this (_@_) to do so so the case will bring in more taxpayer revenue for the lawyer!

---
From the "hopefully lessons will be learned" department - Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL opened for the new school year..Student now have clear plastic backpacks, and have to enter/exit through a single school access point..Maybe this will be a great learning point for them...when you give up freedom for government enforce safety, there is a big price to pay...and regardless how DIMocrats "spin it", this is what socialism is.

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Food trucks will add flavor to new ArtPark being launched near Chattahoochee River * It’s a sliver of prime land steps away from the Chattahoochee River and in need for a purpose such as bringing people together for creative fun and delicious food. * Thus, the ground just off Whitewater Avenue in Phenix City — and easily accessible to both sides of the river by the Frank K. Martin Pedestrian Bridge — is about to become a pop-up art oasis complete with a food-truck presence a couple of days each week." -- Wow...Columbus/GA pays for the walking bridge, and Phenix City/Alabama will get ALL the sales tax revenues from food sales. Maybe Council should put a toll gate for diners who buy in Phenix City but want to get back to Columbus' bridge to eat it.

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Drag Queen Story Hour coming to a Columbus library, sparking controversy * Hobbs said ColGay Pride plans to conduct a Drag Queen Story Hour every month at various local libraries." -- So, COLGAY now plans to go after children every month.. This should be all that's necessary to to expose the real purpose of this "event".. indoctrination of a deviancy in children under the guise of "entertainment". Before anything else is said, please note that I have not spoken up against other adult-aged LGBTQ events being held.. but that's because COLGAY is normally an adult world, Adults going after the attention of minor children in an enticement way is a version of pedophilia.

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Three suspected members of Zohannon gang identified by Task Force after pot seized * The task force identified the suspects as members of the Zohannon gang from tattoos on their body. * Robin King, a public defender representing Thomas, asked Beronobis about the gang colors . The agent said the gang color was orange and Harper had the name on his body." -- Hmmm... OI can already see this as another "jury Fail".. If I were the defense lawyer, I'd put the head of Columbus' law enforcement world on the stand, and ask this question: "Mayor, have you stated or implied that Columbus doesn't have gangs/gang problems?"

---
How about that Governor of New York...not only did he slam Trump's slogan, "Make America Great Again", Cuomo added that in his opinion, "America has never been that great". No wonder he feels "OK" with Schumer and Gillibrand and now Socialist-DIMocrat Ocasio-Cortez and the Clintons. Oh, Governor, my bride and I are not taking our next anniversary trip to NYC.

---
Good grief..after having his security clearance revoked, former CIA director John Brennan tweeted that he considered Trump's action as curtailing his "freedom of speech"... excuse me? Under what law does Brennan feel he had freedom of speech concerning classified and top secret information.? To be honest, I do not understand how any head of an US information accumulating federal agency can leave office without all the locks and passwords changed BEFORE he/she gets out the front door.

From the "bias? what bias?" department - Online headline: "Prosecutors blast 'Manafort’s lies' in closing arguments against ex-Trump campaign chairman" -- First, this was not about anything Manafort did when he was Trump's "campaign chairman", so MSM-13 should be reined in on collusion charges with Mueller. Secondly, The only thing the defense should talk about is the only 'evidence' comes from someone the Mueller team has paid off, and if that didn't get a "not guilty" verdict or a "hung jury", then I'd appeal to the US Supreme Court that since the Washington area voted 93% for Hellary in 2016, then my client did not receive a fair jury or trial.

M/C L-E & T headline/story: "Proposed Macon tax increase hits another roadblock as deadline looms * A proposed Macon-Bibb County property tax hike hit a roadblock Tuesday.
* A county commissioner said Tuesday that he is no longer supporting a 3-mill tax increase that will be up for vote Thursday. That could mean the increase will not pass since it was only narrowly supported 5-4 by commissioners last week. * Voting for the 3-mill increase was “premature on my part,” Commissioner Joe Allen said at Tuesday’s committee meetings. “It’s not due to all the social media mess, it’s not due to what people feel." -- Hmm.. two things.. First, can we swap out 5 of Columbus' Council members for the 5 Macon ones that are against raising the property taxes? Second, can we trade our current District 133 Rep John Pezold for their Rep? Sounds like Pezold would work well with Macon's mayor in heading up a referendum on raising taxes since Pezold never has gotten to vote on theirs either.

From the "fantasy world of liberalism and Social-DIMocrats" - Online headline/story: "Colorado School District Switches To 4-Day Week To Save Money * A Colorado school district intent on saving money has cut one of its greatest costs: teaching. * "We anticipate about $1 million in savings," (Superintendent Chris) Fiedler said. * Fiedler estimates that running fewer school buses alone will save the district about $700,000. (of the $1,000,000.00) " -- Hmmm and once again, no student's or parents/families' needs are considered...It sounds like the teachers' pay really won't be cut, they will just have to work 4 days a week to earn it.. Meanwhile, parents will have a work day they will either have to miss or provide childcare/supervision for their children. This just shows that, in reality, nothing is really "about the children" when deciding school expenses.. Heck, here in my home town, our school board/school system feels it's "OK" for Drag Queens to come into our school library system and read stories to kindergarten/elementary students.

---
More good economic news... retail sales jumped .05 % in July compared to Wall Street expectations of .02%..This is an increase of 150% over expectations. Now, did Columbus benefit from this..my guess is "no" based on our recent history of retail store closings and under-collections of expected LOST-SPLOST tax revenues.

---
I asked a few days ago if anyone could confirm or deny the story about the Mayor of Columbus, GA backing into a Jail assigned prisoner transport van, and no one from Council has responded yet. Group silence generally indicates the truth.. and collusion about not making the truth known.

---
Online headline/story: "Republicans blast Pearl Jam poster of burning White House * Republicans on Wednesday condemned a poster by Pearl Jam that shows the White House in flames and a bald eagle pecking at a skeleton they say is meant to depict President Donald Trump." -- What a condemnation of the pathetic state MSM-13 has become.. I can remember a time when MSM-13 would have excoriated a sub-culture for advocating death of our President (even a Republican one), but now MSM-13 celebrates.. PARTICIPATES
... in such anarchy.

---
Online headline: "Jim Carrey says his plan ’was to destroy’ Hollywood" -- Hmmm... even though he's pathetic at it, maybe it's good that Jim Carrey took up painting.. let's see if he can paint his way OUT of the corner he's painted himself into.

---
Online headline/story: "The Story Of The Wealthy Heir Who May Have Been Eaten By Cannibals Is Almost Too Weird To Be True * Set to someday inherit a piece of the Rockefeller fortune, Michael Rockefeller could have taken a role on the Standard Oil board of directors and raked in cash, but he wanted more. Instead, he took on a non-oil-related role, pursuing a different passion all the way to the ends of the Earth… and lost everything, including his life." -- This may be the first recorded documentation that a wealthy liberal actually achieved his goal to FEED a 3rd World country.

---
From the "forensic audits for all" department - Online headline/story: "Sister lunch ladies accused of stealing nearly $500K * Two sisters who were former cafeteria workers are charged with stealing nearly a half-million dollars from Connecticut schools over the last five years." -- This went on unnoticed..... for 5 years? I tell you, it happened because the two sisters realized no one was watching what was going on. We've just been stunned that Columbus' Clerk of Council failed a forensic audit and she wasn't even a money handler.. on to the money areas.. PRONTO!

From the "and the Columbus "BEAT" goes on" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "Wells Fargo, Regions Banks closing some local locations * The Columbus market is losing three bank branches, with Wells Fargo closing two offices in the coming weeks and Regions Bank poised to shutter one location this week." -- And we thought it was bad enough that Synovus vacated the use of "Columbus Bank & Trust"... but you know, when major retailers close up shop, too many bank branches are no longer an asset for banks. Just another piece of the legacy Mayor Tom-LYING-son has saddled Columbus' future with.

From the "when your opponent is damaging herself, don't stand in her way" department - Online story: "When asked whether her label as the “new star” of the Democratic Party makes her a liability, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) stated that President Trump is “trying to frighten, you know, whites” about her. * “Listen, he’s trying to frighten, uh, you know, whites about Maxine Waters,” she said. “‘Here’s this black woman, and she’s controversial, and she said things about me, and she does not move away from her position on impeachment, etc.’ He’s trying to frighten them. It’s not going to work.” -- Good grief.. You know, when a Congressional representative cannot vote for herself because she doesn't live in the district she represents, maybe she should be careful about calling more attention to herself.. What I don't understand is if the Court System in so rightfully concerned about the fairness of Congressional district lines, then why aren't the Courts concerned about the district representatives actually living within the districts they represent?

---
Can you believe that a judge has allowed the "adults" from that compound in New Mexico that ran a radical Islamic terror camp have been released on $20,000.00 'signature' bails. You know, when 5 adults run a camp/compound with 11 children and do not provide the food or water for nourishment, those adults do not qualify for 'signature' bail.

---
Unless there has been a change made since late yesterday that I'm unaware of, maybe we need to contact the DFCS to have a representative at the entrance of the library's "Drag Queen Story Hour" to take names of parents who bring their children to such an event.

---
How can the MCSB make a policy against board member behavior yet allow the library to permit a deviant entertainment event to be held that;s AIMED at children?

How can the MCSB even propose a policy like this when it won't take steps to stop a deviant event from being held in a facility the MCSD/MCSB is responsible for? If the MCSB allows this, and even if the MCSB posts notices that it is not promoting or endorsing it, and the event goes on, the the perception is that the MCSD/MCSB believes this is good for children. Power perceived is power achieved.

Oh, one thing the MCSB does not want to deal with is that the Drag Queen event, by incorporating a reading of a children's book, is AIMED at the children.. Maybe if the event was refocused and called "Drag Queen Advanced Calculus Study Hour" it at least would be aimed at children over the age of consent.
---
From the "veiled threat?" department - HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Omarosa: 'There's one way to shut Donald Trump down' * “There’s one way to shut Donald Trump down and that is to just don’t give him the oxygen,” Manigault Newman, who served as an aide to the president until her dismissal in December, said on The Daily Show Tuesday night. “And the oxygen comes from the clicks, the likes, the shock, the discussions.” -- Hmmm... Don't give him attention.. oxygen... Good grief, Newman created this attention factor, and when she was thrown out of the White House, a fresh burst of oxygen was created.

---
From the "Hey, MSM-13,, why not compare the Republican voters rejecting what you claim is the standard of Republicans versus Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Socialist position being overwhelmingly accepted by DIMocrat voters?" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "White nationalist Paul Nehlen loses GOP primary for Paul Ryan's House seat" -- Hmm.. I guess the "department" title sent this message without me expanding on it...

---
Online headline: "Christine Hallquist becomes first transgender nominee for governor after winning Vermont primary" -- Does anyone know whether he-she is for or against women issues? You know, without actually gender-replacement surgery, I also wonder how the current environment separates what we knew as "transvestites" from "transgenders".

---
From the "I guess he will use the "it's for the kids" defense" department - Online story: "Kenilworth (NJ) school superintendent Thomas Tramaglini, who stands accused of pooping near the Holmdel High School athletic field in Holmdel Twp., N.J., will collect more than $100,000 until his September resignation, according to nj.com. * Tramaglini, 42, who was appointed superintendent in 2015, denies the claim despite purported video evidence showing him “doody-bound.” * From his suspension in early May to Sept. 30, the district will fork over $109,868 to Tramaglini in salary, unused vacation time and severance pay." -- Let's pray for JUSTICE... and that the Kenilworth School Board will pay him off in toilet paper.

Here's another list... of the best and worst states for "business".. GA is ranked the 21st Best... hmmm... wonder how much upward "bump" GA would have gotten if it didn't have to include Columbus's input over the past 7+ years?

21. Georgia
> 1-yr. real GDP change: 2.6% (13th highest)
> Avg. salary: $50,519 (18th highest)
> Adults w/ bachelor’s degree: 29.9% (23rd highest)
> Patents issued: 2,465 (16th highest)
> Working-age population chg. 2010-2020: +12.0% (8th highest)

You know, with Columbus, GA scored well in every category but had a noticeable "wobble" in the "Bachelor's degree" category, and average salary "wavered" a bit from the pother categories... and both of these categories are "sore points" in the Columbus area...

M/C L-E headline/story: "Audit uncovers missing contracts, minutes and other records in clerk of council office * Washington, 58, has been a city employee for more than 38 years and clerk of council since Jan. 1, 1996, human resources records show. Appointed by the 10-member council, Washington was responsible for managing the agenda for council meetings, recording ordinances and resolutions adopted by the council and keeping accurate minutes. She also updated the code of ordinances when changes were made and kept information on 40 boards, committees and commissions among other duties. * After the meeting, Mayor pro-tem Evelyn Turner Pugh said council would be looking into the findings of the audit report. “Whatever the audit findings are, we are going to look at each one of them and we aren’t going to skip over them,” she said. “We are going to try and straighten them out. The citizens can have that as my word.” -- You know.. I really thought that nothing.. in fact, I prayed nothing.. would be amiss in the Clerk Forensic Audit.. Most audits are "financial in nature, but .. well, not finding all the records on the 40 various boards really raises a flag, as voters do not have input into manning the various boards or knowledge of how the boards handle the tax dollars that Council allots. This also raises another flag.. following this discovery, and reading about all the scandals discovered happening during former Atlanta Mayor Reed's terms of office, that a Forensic Audit be immediately started on our Mayor's history.. and the City Manager's Office. One falling domino generally starts all the rest to fall.

---
You know, Council should immediately propose and pass and ordinance that Forensic Audits be a part of day-to-day practices. Even making such to be based on an open "pull" of names of departments for a random Audit should keep things in line, and a mandatory department forensic audit when a department head or Mayor retires or resigns... and we do have a Charter Review coming up in a couple of years.

From the "warped sense of fact" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "Restoration work begins to turn historic Claflin School into unique apartments * There are 44 affordable apartment units planned on the property, which will include 18 new units in the former schoolyard area. Apartment sizes will range from 650 square feet for one-bedroom units to about 1,250 square feet for the three bedrooms, with two bedrooms somewhere in the middle. * Though no lease prices have been set yet, a similar project that Oracle participated in and was completed about a year ago in Macon, Ga., called A.L. Miller Village, has its rates listed on Apartments.com. They show one-bedroom units going for $396 per month, two bedrooms for $589 and three bedrooms for $669. * “It’s not subsidized housing, but the taxpayer program that funds it offers tax credits to developers in exchange for keeping the rents artificially low,” Gooding said. " -- First, tis hardly complying with the covenant of the federal owned building being turned over to the Columbus Public School system, but what Thompson Gooding, vice president of development services with Oracle Consulting Services said is a joke.. What does he mean when he says, "It’s not subsidized housing, but the taxpayer program that funds it offers tax credits to developers in exchange for keeping the rents artificially low,"? He means that taxpayers are getting the shaft and his company knows it.

M/C L-E headline: 'Talk of I-14 through Columbus grows – but it’s still just talk" -- Excuse me.. has anyone involved with trying to SELL this project actually looked at the existing Interstate routes than connect the South with Texas.. We already have I-10 and I-20.. and if the I-16 from Savannah to Macon project is just completed to link to Columbus and Montgomery to Meridian. MS's I-20 route. we will have what we need.. plus it will be quicker and cheaper to do. All I can say for the proponents of another I-system is that "they" have figured out how "they" will benefit better from it.

In fact, the next time this is presented to the area, the L-E should demand that the map being used also show PROMINENTLY I-10 and I-20 on it.

Online headline: "Chris Cuomo Defends Antifa By Saying Their Attacks on Police, Journalists Are ‘Not Equal’ To Bigots" -- Excuse me, but bigotry is generally about unwarranted hatred and ignorance just because someone thinks or looks differently from you, and you are now willing .. maybe not even able.. to sit down and discuss it civilly. Under no condition is personal attack.. physically or verbally -- under the guise of masks and mob mentality anything but hatred and criminal.

What a treat! At the insistence of one of our daughters, my bride and I watched an "original Netflix" presentation... a period movie.. one of historical fiction concerning the aftermath of WWII's effect on a small group of people on the Isle of Guernsey which was occupied by Germany.. The name? "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society".. This is the kind of movie that Hollywood doesn't bother to make anymore... and we miss that. You should not... miss it. that is.. If you do not subscribe to Netflix, at least take them up on the "week's trial" in order to see this movie..

Wow! Just heard back from a MCSB member concerning the DRAG QUEEN Story Hour being offered at a MCSD public library. This is what the response was:

"I have since heard from Dr. Lewis and talked with the Director of the library system.  Mr. Harkness shared that the library is not connected with this event in any way other than providing a venue for the event.  Since the library is a public entity, anyone may schedule an event in their community spaces as long as they schedule in advance and pay any associated costs with renting the facility.

With that said, the library is in no way promoting the event nor is it on the library system’s calendar of events.  The sponsoring group may only put materials up in the room where the event is held, not in the hallways nor common areas.  Therefore, the only children who should be exposed to this event are the ones whose parents bring them to it.

Thank you again for sharing your concerns. "

I responded this way:

While I appreciate your response and position, I do not fully agree with it.  I realize the library is a public entity, yet it's under the umbrella of the MCSD, and I do believe there should be more protection for the children.  This is not any different than a Tobacco Company wanting to put out propaganda to minors using "Joe Camel"  and Candy Cigarettes as the "hook" to get children to come see it.. It's like the Movie Industry wanting to promote X-rated movies but getting a "PG" rating so parents will bring them. No, this is not  acceptable children's fare.

While it should have always been the policy, the MCSB should set standards and procedures now for all such future requests to the libraries and schools as to what is allowable. Parents should KNOW that what is offered as "entertainment" at the library is not only appropriate, but AGE appropriate.

I think.. even "feel", the MCSD should cancel, and if fees have been collected, I will be glad to reimburse the library for the event refund to COLGAY.

Since we taxpayers are paying quite a bit towards the operation of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Chamber tried to get one of it's own elected to Council, and since Council is finally wanting to make a concerted effort to improve the local economy (after an absence of effort for the past 7-plus years), how about Council showing us what the Chamber has done for the past 7 years (by year) and what plans does the Chamber have that will get immediate results FOR our economy.

The last time I reported about "felony arrests in Columbus, we learned that 41 of 67 felons arrested also were additionally charged with violations of their parole/probation conditions.. It wasn't a fluke.. The latest publishment through August 6th shows that of another 63 felons arrested, 39 were also charged with violation of their parole/probation for a previous crime. Once again. our police are taxed and endangered by known criminals back on the streets accosting more citizens by being released earlier than their sentences. How can anyone claim "early release" programs benefit society?

---
From the "why is it" department - I just put a cup of coffee in my microwave to return it to acceptable warmth. After 20 seconds, I opened the door, but the "it's ready beep" keeps beeping for three more times.. Why is that? Seems like a smart electronic would recognize you've opened the door and does not need to keep sounding the "it's ready" beeps.

Online headline/story: "FBI fires Peter Strzok, months after anti-Trump texts revealed * Strzok attorney Aitan Goelman said in a statement Monday that his client, a 21-year FBI veteran, was fired Friday afternoon, claiming this was a departure from standard practice and politically motivated." -- "politically motivated"? Of course, the firing was "politically motivated" but it's not Trump's "political motive".. Strzok was fired.. FINALLY.. because of his OWN "political motivation" to try and keep Trump from winning. Maybe now the rest of the Obama "dominoes" will fall in rapid succession.

---
From the "I love it when libs eat their own" department - Online headline/story: "Omarosa cuts off 'Today' appearance, tells Savannah Guthrie to 'calm down' during bizarre interview * Guthrie tried to take charge of the chat, but Manigault-Newman barked back, “I’ll get to the second part.” * Guthrie then attempted to ask a follow-up question, but Manigault-Newman shot it down." -- Whoa! Can it be? Can it be that NBC has decided to stop asking "softball questions" to liberals? WE can pray this will continue.

---
Another from the "I love it when libs eat their own" department - Online headline: "Nancy Pelosi Accuses NBC of Trying to ‘Undermine’ Her Chances of Getting Back Speaker’s Gavel" -- Wow, as John Cameron Swayze would describe a Timex watch, NBC "takes a licking and keeps on ticking!" Good grief.. even in it's Golden Liberal Era, NBC had no effect on whether or not Pelosi could be Speaker.. George W. Bush gave her that opportunity and she lost it under Obama. and the taxpayers will never give her another shot at it.. Pelosi undermined America and herself.

---
The nation sits in mourning as Aretha Franklin move closer to the end of her life on Earth.. we will miss her, but never forget her... and we will always R-E-S-P-E-C-T her.

---
From the "we're being overrun with deviancy" department - Online headline: "Stormy Daniels to star on (CBS's) Celebrity Big Brother that'll reportedly ask 'viewers for forgiveness for past scandals'" -- Good grief.. we are being inundated with deviancy on public air waves, and in Columbus, GA in our public library! It's bad enough Columbus kids are being enticed to attend a Drag Queen Story Hour at one of our libraries, but CBS (Continually Broadcasting Slime?) is bring a porn star and criminal blackmailer to the public sector as acceptable entertainment.!

---
M/C L-E headline: "ELECTION 2018 * Vote still isn’t official yet, state says 12 weeks after primary" -- Well, basically, this is a technicality.. but I tell you what isn't that's OVER 12 weeks late is Zeph Baker's promise to turn in the already late Campaign disclosures of his donations and expenditures for the Columbus Mayor Election.

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Trial starts for 3 accused of rape, shooting and burning woman * Three defendants are accused of kidnapping a 36-year-old woman at gunpoint from a “rap contest” at a Garden Drive “party house” on New Year’s Day 2014 and taking her in her car to a vacant lot at 988 Farr Road, where they allegedly raped her, sodomized her, penetrated her sexually with a handgun and shot her eight times, then poured gasoline on her 2007 Volkswagen Passat and set it afire with her in the trunk, with the resulting burns leaving her permanently disfigured. * “She may never walk again. She may never have the use of her left arm,” a detective testified the following Feb. 17 during a preliminary hearing for one of the suspects. “She was in a coma for three weeks. They had to remove part of her lower intestine, and she’s still receiving around-the-clock care.” -- These animals are less deserving to live than the ones who killed .. BRUTALLY BLUDGEONED TO DEATH the family is Upatoi.. those victims didn't survive to have to live knowing their animals are still alive! Any conviction that doesn't include the death penalty will be another jury fail here in Columbus.

As bad as antifa is about denying others the right of free speech, MSM-13 is even worse. The Founding Fathers knew that freedom of the press to speak up/out freely of government oppression was even more important that the right to bear arms so the Founding Fathers covered this in the 1st Amendment, yet MSM-13 has basically denied the rights of conservative citizens/citizen groups to exercise their rights with biased and imbalanced reporting.

From the "the hell of a scorned woman" department - Online headline/story: "Report: Mothers of both Zach and Courtney Smith claim ex-OSU assistant is victim of retaliatory plot by ex-wife * quotes from Lynn Bruce, Smith’s mother and the daughter of former Ohio State coach Earle Bruce, and Tina Carano, the mother of Smith’s ex-wife Courtney. Both mothers claimed Courtney told them of a vindictive revenge plot against Smith and Meyer that she has been apparently planning since 2013. * Bruce claimed Courtney Smith told her of the plan multiple times since 2013, when Courtney reportedly learned of her ex-husband’s infidelity. * Carano, who Snook said has become estranged from her daughter over the issue, apparently only texted with the reporter, but reportedly said that she does not believe Smith’s alleged domestic abuse was intentional. She also confirmed she heard her daughter say she would “take Zach down.”" -- Let's pray... pray that the truth will set the record straight, and pray that women truly wronged won't suffer from public doubt of their plight, and pray the lawyers behind her charges will get disbarred for not completely verifying the charges he made on her behalf.

You know.. about "Felon Voting Rights Return".. this is an issue on the Florida ballot in November..giving a blanket return of voting rights for convicted felons should not happen.. I recently posted some facts about 67 arrested felons who's mug shots and arrests were posted on the online version of the Columbus, GA Ledger-Enquirer. Of the 67, 41 not only had felony arrests for crimes, they also were charged with either violating their current parole and/or probation conditions.. that's right, 41 victims would..could.. have been spared suffering from a crime against them if they criminals had served out their sentences. No, getting voting rights returned should be an earned right determined by the individuals proper return to a civil society.

---
M/C L-E headline: "Man sentenced in U.S. District Court to 10 years in prison on cocaine, gun charges" -- I'm gonna bet this guy will have another felony arrest before his 10 year sentence is over.

From the "I guess ABC got Slick Willie Clinton to define what 'conservative' is" department: Online headline/story: "'Fox & Friends' co-host Abby Huntsman reportedly leaving to join 'The View' * Huntsman's addition to "The View" would make her the show's second conservative voice on the current lineup, joining fellow former Fox News contributor, Meghan McCain. In addition to Huntsman and McCain, "The View" would be co-hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin." -- If I had to list 5 adjectives to describe Huntsman and/or McCain, "conservative" would not be one of them, and even if you merged Huntsman and McCain into "one force", the combined unit would not offset the angst/misinformation spewed by either Goldberg or Behar. This is a big nothing-burger meant to say that ABC is not going to fire Whoopi or Joy.

---
From the "you gotta be kidding" department - Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama back-up QB last year is the 11th ranked player to win the Heisman this year.. and Jalen Hurts isn't even considered.. Good grief.. Does ESPN even look at last years stats? Alabama Coach
Saban didn't even use Tagovailoa in the 6 pre-National Championship games that weren't decided by half-time, and Tagovailoa's performance in the second half of the Championship was successful mainly because of the UGA Coaching staff being caught off guard defensively.

I am going to protest an event scheduled at the Mildred Terry Library Saturday week (Aug 18th) here in Columbus.. as you know, our libraries are under the umbrella of the MCSD, and are promoting a "Drag Queen Story Hour Event". This is not about acceptance of life style alternatives, this is about promoting deception to children.. little or no different from offering free candy if a child will get into a van with a stranger. I'd have no issue with a gay or lesbian presenting themselves in everyday attire sincerely participating in a story hour, but the emphasis on this event is "DRAG QUEEN".. and every member of the MCSB should sound off on stopping such.

Furthermore.. how is this any different that letting cigarette companies use cartoon characters such as "Joe Camel" or Fred Flintstone to make smoking attractive to children?

I also sent the above comment to the MCSB members, and one was smart enough to respond.. The member said that the library did not submit the event for information nor approval., and that it would be further looked into.

Wow! So after the past 7.5+ years our mayor now feels Columbus should stop going around in roundabout circles and get business back on a straight course to jump-start our economy. Well, what's Mayor Tom-LYING-son feel she can accomplish in less than 5 months to undo what she did in the first 7.5+ years.. Heck.. she promised that the now $4.5 MILLION dollar River Road was going to start being built in July following her 2014 re-election..

---
What does the phrase "with the conditions that it be perpetually used for school purposes" mean to you..I seems rather definitive to me.. Well, it's the condition that the Claflin School was deeded over to the Trustees of the the Public Schools of Columbus by R.L. Mott and the Trustees of Claflin School in 1880. Now, how can that be manipulated to result in a sale for the property be used as a housing facility?

* - Dr. Katherine Mahan's book on the history of the Columbus Public School System published in 1976 - page 148.

---
A reliable source has told me that the Spencer High project came in under it's projected $56 Million dollar estimate. I said that I had not heard that even though I am on the 2015 SPLOST Citizens Review Committee.. Of course, looking at so many projects that appear to be out-of-line project-estimate-wise, it's not so much a surprise, but what I want to know is why can the MCSD keep the extra unused funds and spend them on other projects? Shouldn't the MCSD be fair to the taxpayers when it can save on spending?

Think about this.. that "I Promise" school LeBron James is partially supporting.. With his recognition, don't you imagine there will be parents that will encourage their children to become "at risk" students so they can get selected to attend? Now, think about the potential carnage in other public schools that will have to accept the ones that don't get taken into the "I Promise" school?

---
Online story: "Democrat Stacey Abrams on Wednesday reinforced her position that “dream kids” -- children whose parents brought them to the U.S. illegally -- should be eligible for HOPE scholarships." -- Wait a minute.. you know, it's "feelings" like this that that can bring a government to its knees! With a DIMocrat running our state, what's to stop any.. every .. country from shipping their children to America for free education, pre-K thru college, and save on the expenses each country would have spent on its education system..
On another note, maybe it's time that all lottery ticket purchasers provide proof of US citizenship in order to purchase any lottery ticket.. if the argument for illegal aliens is "opportunity" , then spending any money on lottery tickets takes away from their ability to survive and thrive.

Through last Thursday *, it looks like there are 24 homicides thus far marked as such by the coroner.. I have 3 others that should be considered/reconsidered.. one - the dad that ran over his toddler son in the driveway has been charged with "vehicular homicide" as it's been determined he was driving & texting at the time, two - the guy determined he killed himself (suicide) using a revolver loaded with a .410 gauge shotgun shell...just doesn't sound right or plausible, and 3 - the guy pulled out of the Chattahoochee near the RiverWalk with the back of his head bashed in.. a preliminary autopsy should have already have been made to determine if it was before or after the body was in the water.. to me, not disclosing in a timely manner means there is a lot of doubt about it happening in the water.

---
From the "she and her lawyers say" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "Ex-aide calls Trump a racist, says she refused hush money * Omarosa Manigault Newman was offered a $15,000-a-month contract from President Donald Trump’s campaign to stay silent after being fired from her job as a White House aide by Chief of Staff John Kelly last December, according to a forthcoming book by Manigault Newman and people familiar with the proposal." -- "according to a forthcoming book"? Good grief.. it's taken her this long to "mention" her angst, and it corresponds with her new n]book release date.. Maybe she should have used the title of Hellary's latest nothing-burger, "What Happened.. the prequel". Hmm, and I wonder when her first appearance on "The View" is scheduled..

Sadly, we must wish condolences to recent MCSB electee Dr Philip Schley, Sr.. on the loss of another of his family.

From the "bias? what bias?" department - M/C L-E headline: "US wage growth wiped out by inflation" -- Hmmm.. and what's not mentioned is how far behind wage earners got under ZERO WAGE GROWTH, shortened hours (to skirt ObamaCRAP regulations), and inflation under the Obama Administration.

---
From the "Guess it is about race" department - Hmmm President Trump called someone a "lowlife" for using a position of trust to betray him", and MSM-13 labels Trump a bigot and racist.. wait a minute, President Trump called two people who had positions of trust "lowlife", but it seems that MSM-13 only considers him a "bigot/racist" for calling Omarosa Manigault Newman one ... but seems OK with him calling Deputy A.G.Bruce Ohr the same. You know, MSM-13 is the bigot/racist...

---
From the "bias? what bias?" department - Online headline/story: "Wildfire victims among those stung by Trump's trade war * The import tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump are adding thousands of dollars to the cost of building homes. That especially squeezes homeowners who seek to rebuild quickly after losing their houses to natural disasters, such as the wildfires scorching parts of California." -- Good grief.. MSM-13 doesn't give a crap about rebuilding homes at this time, as MSM-13 doesn't really seem too concerned that the fires are still burning out of control.. You know, what exactly does the MSM-13 mean when tariffs on building supplies are costing more? Does California have laws prohibiting the use of California/American grown trees".. Oh, I've got it... California has a law about using water that provides "snail darters" with a home, and cannot be used for putting out fires burning people's homes.. Yeah! That must be the tariff issue.. California firefighters are having to import water to douse the flames. California secession is looking might good for the other 49 states.

Last week, unconfirmed social media postings indicated Mayor Tom-LYING-son was reportedly involved in a driving incident with a jail transport van. I've not seen official confirmation or denial. Has anyone else heard such who can enlighten Columbus citizens, and if the incident is true, were all policies adhered to concerning City employees involved in vehicle accidents?

---
M/C L-E story: "Longtime Clerk of Council Tiny Washington has been placed on leave with pay at the Columbus Consolidated Government, officials said Friday. * Washington, 58, was placed on paid leave Aug. 3, said City Attorney Clifton Fay and Mayor pro-tem Evelyn Turner Pugh. Washington will be absent during the 9 a.m. Tuesday Columbus Council meeting when forensic auditor Elizabeth Barfield is set to present an audit of the Office of the Clerk of Council." -- Yes.. a Forensic Audit... now, let's pray it is thorough, above board, and confirmation that all is well for Tiny Washington.. Also, let's pray that other Forensic Audits will occur in rapid order for other key employees and departments.. Now, who's NEXT!

Here it is, 12 weeks after the date Zeph Baker promised to turn in his required Financial Disclosures concerning donations and expenditures.. and we don't know where it is.. we obviously know WHERE IT ISN'T, but not where it is.. Oh.. does anyone know where Zeph Baker is?

M/C L-E headline/story: "History shared but unreconciled in city’s Confederate statue * In 1906, when aging, white Confederate veterans of the Civil War and black ex-slaves still lived on the old plantations of the Deep South, two very different celebrations were afoot in this city known even then as a beacon of black empowerment. * Tuskegee Institute, founded to educate Southern blacks whose families had lived in bondage for generations, was saluting its 25th anniversary. * Meanwhile, area whites were preparing to dedicate a monument to rebel soldiers in a downtown park set aside exclusively for white people. * Flash forward to today and that same Confederate monument still stands in the same park, both of them owned by a Confederate heritage group. They sit in the heart of a poor, black-controlled town of 9,800 people that’s less than 3 percent white. " -- You know, the one thing that proponents of "Black History" and/or "White History" cannot deny is that in America, there is hardly any period of American history that black and white history isn't intertwined to the point that they can't be separated. In fact.. the history of the races is what has made America GREATER .. both have become stronger as adjustments have been made, and our future depends on further development of oneness.. not re-segregating, and at this point, it is no longer about apologies, but about forgiveness and acceptance.... and moving forward.

M/C L-E headline: "SUPREME COURT * Kavanaugh opponents struggle for traction" -- You know, The Supreme Court is not suppose to be about politicians. It's about America and the Constitution that has gotten us to the pinnacle of greatness the rest of the world cannot achieve. The only issue that politicians must decide on is whether we grow bigger and stronger or tumble..

From the "Chicken Little's 'the Sky is falling' " department - M/C L-S headline: "TSA says it can detect 3D-printed guns" -- Well, this should end the panic discussion of the left.. but it won't.

Online headline/story: "'A Slap in the Face': FL Police Unions Urge Miami Dolphins Boycott After Anthem Protests * Two police unions in Florida are taking a stand against the Miami Dolphins over national anthem protests.  * The post stated that its members were also offered game ticket discounts because the team had previously said players who protest could be suspended up to four games. * The PBA posted on its Facebook page that it is encouraging its members to call the team's ticket office and request a refund." -- A "slap in the face"... YES! Call for ticket refunds... YES".. Show up at the next game to insure security and traffic control... NO.... HELL NO!

---
All I can say about the NFL players who feel their protests are justified is that no protest wrapped in disrespect will get desired results or public sympathy.

---
Online headline: "NFL Star LeSean McCoy Accused of Leaving His Ex-Girlfriend Bloody & Beaten in Viral Instagram Photo" -- Hmmm...wonder whether she thought about calling the police or some NFL kneelers to help her?

The PGA has got to step up its game on its website...the leaderboard was two or more holes behind most of the day. The reports were exciting about what what was going on that I regressed on my boycott of CBS (Moonves scandal) and tuned in to TV coverage. It was great (and a long time coming) seeing Tiger Woods playing his A-game combined with the recovery skills of Phil Mickelson, and it great to see him contending again, but the trophy went to Bruce Koepka, and deservedly so. This was his second major of 2018, and had his putting been as sharp as his tee-to-green skills, he would have won by 5 or 6 strokes. Now, after watching the CBS crew swoon and fawn over Tiger as he came up short, I won't be surprised if the MSM-13 goes on a Trump-type campaign to have Koepka disqualified or impeached/discredited so Tiger can be awarded the title.

From the "suspicions confirmed" department - Online headline/story: "NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio blasts Rupert Murdoch and Fox News * De Blasio, a Democrat, said on CNN's "Reliable Sources" Sunday that the news outlets run by Murdoch — including Fox News and The New York Post — "put race front and center, and they try to stir the most negative impulses in this country." -- It's not just de Bl@sio, but the whole DIMocrat regime that feels that "the truth" is a "negative impulse".

Have to make one other comment... about the name of the show de Bl@sio was on.. CNN's "Reliable Source"... This has to be the odds-on-winner of the "Oxymoron of the 21st Century" contest.

---
From the "rest of de Bl@sio's reasons in the above story" department - Online headline/story: "Head of de Blasio’s new PAC was convicted of voter fraud * Daniel “Tate” Hausman was hit with a $1,000 fine and sentenced to a year probation in the battleground state of Ohio, where he had traveled from Brooklyn to launch a get-out-the-vote group backing Obama in September 2008 called Vote Today Ohio. * Rather than voting in New York, Hausman and two colleagues registered and submitted absentee ballots out of their temporary Columbus address, which doubled as the group’s headquarters, records show. * While Hausman met the 30-day residency requirement for registering to vote, Ohio law also requires voters to intend to reside in the state post-election." -- Sadly, this is a common practice amongst DIMocrat voter registration drives. Among the worse practices is using state/federal registration laws in university and college towns to register out-of-state students based on the 30 day requirement for residency. How can be legal for a state to recognize an out-of-state student as an in-state resident yet still charge out-of-state tuition?
If you haven't guessed, The New York Post, which ran the story about de Bl@sio's new PAC leader, is owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Oh, and if de Bl@sio didn't show his @ enough in the above comments, this is the clincher - Online headline: "De Blasio lets security haul away Post reporter for asking question" -- Conversely, de Bl@sio had just said.. on a Sunday TV show, "“I believe in a free, strong media with diverse views — I’ll defend it with all I’ve got.” Yeah, right...

---
From the "well, which is it " department HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Omarosa says Trump is 'truly a racist,' concedes complicity in White House deceit * the former White House aide and onetime cast member on NBC’s “The Apprentice” program, continued to claim on Sunday that she had heard President Donald Trump use the N-word. * She also said Trump “truly is a racist.” * Appearing on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Manigault Newman repeated that she had heard of the existence of a tape from Trump’s days as the star of “The Apprentice” on which Trump uses the racial slur. In her new book, Unhinged: An Insiders Account of the Trump White House, Manigault Newman describes searching for the tape; on Sunday, she said she had actually heard it after she finished writing the book. * “Once I heard it for myself, it has confirmed what I feared the most, that Donald Trump is a con and has been masquerading as someone who is actually open to engaging with diverse communities,” she said. “But when he talks that way, the way he did on this tape, it confirmed that he is truly a racist." -- Let's see, .. she heard there was a tape, then she heard the, then she didn't hear about the tape until after she wrote the book, but she mentions it in her book.. You know.. what we have here is a poor, selfish attempt at boosting the sales of a book that has no merit.. And as I see it, "The Apprentice" was produced by NBC, and if NBC had taped conversations of Trump even inferring a racial slur, it would have been re-broadcast hourly the month before the election.

From the "This is what's wrong with MSM-13" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "Kellyanne Conway has trouble naming a top black White House aide" -- You know, the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition just revealed its own racist attitude...they feel that a person's color is the most important aspect. What's overlooked in Kelly Conway's oblivious-to-color response.. equal minded people.. like Conway (versus) MSM-13 reporters) not being prepared with a list of employee names by ethnicity.

---
From the "truth sets you free" department - Online headline/story: "Kanye West hits back over Trump question response: ‘I wasn’t stumped’ * “On Jimmy Kimmel we had a great time having a dialogue. I’m reading that I was stumped by a question. Let me clarify the click bait. I wasn’t stumped. I wasn’t given a chance to answer the question,” West tweeted Saturday. * He added: “The question was so important I took time to think. And then I was hit with the let’s go to commercial break." -- Now, setting up the above situation:
"(West) appeared on Kimmel’s show Thursday, and the pair’s conversation covered a wide range of issues including West’s support of Trump until the host (Kimmel) said, “I mean, you’ve so famously and so powerfully said George (W.) Bush doesn’t care about black people. It makes me wonder, what makes you think that Donald Trump does … or any people at all?” * West remained silent, with his eyes looking into the distance when Kimmel called for a commercial break. " Once again.. the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition puts a person's color over every other aspect of his/her life. On the other hand, Kanye West just established his importance in American history.. judging Trump by Dr Martin Luther King's "dream".

Online headline: DNC co-chair, Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison denies abuse allegations from ex-girlfriend" -- Hmmm..of course Ellison is Muslim, and and in his mind, crimes against women...aren't.

---
Online headline: "White nationalists dwarfed by crowds of counterprotesters in Washington" -- How can a group campaign for rights for illegal aliens yet deny American citizens their Constitutional rights.. I don't condone the agenda nor message of either group.. but no group has to right to deny the other groups guaranteed rights.

Let's see what's on the Council Agenda this week:

"Second reading - An ordinance rezoning 6801 Flat Rock Road. The current zoning is LMI (Light Manufacturing / Industrial) & SFR1 (Single Family Residential 1) zoning district. The proposed zoning is PMUD (Planned Mixed Use Development) zoning district. The proposed use is mixed use (lodging, residential, assisted living & retail). The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommend approval. Applicant: JMC Flatrock Partners, LLC. (Councilor Gary Allen)" -- Hmmm.. oh yes... this is the big money project of Tom-LYING-son supporters who are using the T.A.D. funding the Mayor campaigned on that was for redeveloping declining low-income neighborhoods.. looks like this is an aberration... at best.

Purchases: 7 Ford F150 Trucks... 7 all total... from a Statewide Contract from a dealer in Morrow, GA.. You know, we have dealers here in Columbus .. not only a Ford one, but Chevy and Dodge. as well. How can Columbus benefit from sending over $195,000.00 out of town?

"REPAIR SERVICES FOR A CAT DFK2 BULL DOZER - It is requested that council approve payment for repair services from Yancey Brothers (Fortson), in the amount of $16,015.82, for a CAT D4K2 Bull Dozer, Vehicle. In June 2018 the engine on the equipment went out. The unit was inspected and it was determined that a new engine was needed. This specialized equipment is used on both the Pine-grove Landfill and at Granite Bluff. The bull dozer was purchased in October 2013, at a cost of $106,900." -- Excuse me but a $16,000 replacement engine on a piece of equipment that is only 5 tears old and cost only $107K ti begin with sounds like the Caterpillar Company should be dosing out some "goodwill" funding to bolster its reputation as a quality company.. either that, of some folks at the Landfills should be canned for not keeping the engine properly.

From the "way too far out of jurisdiction" department - Online headline/story: "Judge orders plane carrying deported mother and child turned around, blocks more removals * Angered that an immigrant mother and her daughter who are plaintiffs in a lawsuit had been deported, a federal judge demanded the administration turn the plane carrying them around and stop removing people from the country who are seeking protection from gangs and domestic violence." -- Good grief.. since when does a judge get to rule on his personal anger as opposed to ruling on the Constitutionality of a law? A judges sworn oath of office is to defend and uphold the Constitution, nor whether a law suits the convenience of one person over another.

This was not the only "ruling" dictated by agenda rather than judicial requirements to uphold the Constitution.. another District Judge issued an injunction against President Trump's Executive Order rescinding Obama's Executive Order creating DACA. Fortunately, Jeff Sessions is already on top of defending this as the judge ruled on something that wasn't even a law.. and is above his pay grade.

I heard an interview of Columbus' Coroner on the radio yesterday afternoon. When I heard him talk about the brutal aftermath he witnessed at the heinous murders of a grandmother and two minor members of her family in the Upatoi area of Columbus being the hardest, toughest scene he had to work, I got mad again that the court system failed justice by not "putting those rabid animals down".

---
You may not have because the NFL and TV Sports channels don't want to talk about it, but did you see where the NFL's "Hall of Fame Game" had the worst TV ratings in modern day professional football history? The boycott is working... keep it up!

Well, looks like we have the final figures in of the shootings/killings in Shicago over the Obama Day weekend.. 74 is the last figure cited, and 12 the number that died from being shot.

---
Maybe I need to change my name I've given Chicago...Shicago...to Comedy Central. I just heard Rahm Emanuel claim Shicago's street killings are because of too many criminals on the streets..Didn't Emanuel make Shicago a 'sanctuary city'? Doesn't Shicago keep law abiding citizens unarmed so street criminals won't have resistance? Didn't Emanuel ban Trump from his city? Hasn't Obama pretty much abandoned visiting there? Let's face it, Emanuel is Shicago's own worst enemy.

---
Online headline: "Chicago violence hurts Mayor Rahm Emanuel's political future" -- In a word... FINALLY!

How can the MSM-13 deny it's similarity to the MS-13 gangs? Individually, they are basically cowardly punks that bond together to attack in packs. This has been recently confirmed as the bond of the MSM-13 has been unified in its acceptance of Sarah Jeong, race baiting and flogging addition to the CBS Editorial department.. which is under Les Moonves who puts his own #MeToo attacks on women in a separate class as he held the same peccadilloes mad by Charlie Rose.

From the "include California when the WALL in finished" department - Online headline/story: "Commerce chief scolds California over environmental policies he says hinder firefighters: ‘Lives are at stake’ * The latest fight between the Trump administration and California’s liberal politicians has been over water. * In a tweet sent Monday, President Trump said water that can be used for fires in California is “foolishly” being diverted into the Pacific Ocean. * On Wednesday, the federal government officially stepped in. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross ordered the National Marines Fisheries Service, which is under his jurisdiction, to take control of water use in California and override any efforts to protect endangered species. * "The protection of life and property takes precedence over any current agreements regarding the use of water in the areas of California affected by wildfires," Ross said in a statement." -- The trouble is that I am not surprised at California's deference to snail darters over people.. I guess it's gonna take a fire in a sanctuary city when Socialist-DIMocrats will have to decide whether to save illegal alien killers or snail darters to bring normalcy to California.. You know.. it's really cryptic that any action taken by Californian politicians could be equate with "normalcy".

---
You know, as bad as Party loyalty amongst members of Congress taking precedence over loyalty to our country, it became worse when loyalty to a political party infiltrated into our DOJ and FBI. Mike Huckabee nailed it yesterday on Fox when he stated that the Obama Administration basically "weaponized" our DOJ, FBI, and IRS to wage war on conservative Americans.

---
You know if there was any collusion of a president and Russia it had to begin with Obama telling Medvedev to tell Putin he could be more flexible after the 2012 election .

---
There needs to be "standards" enforced in the car manufacturing industry.. When Ford stopped production of the Lincoln Continental Town Car, the wheelbase was about 124"... when Ford reintroduced the Lincoln Continental last year, the wheelbase was a smidge UNDER 118". The Lincoln Continental of today should not be promoted as a "large" sedan.

From the "he's smarter than the average Jersey Congressperson" department - Online headline./story: "A goat herd is helping Trump pay tens of thousands of dollars less in property taxes on his New Jersey properties * President Donald Trump is able to pay tens of thousands of dollars less in property taxes on his New Jersey golf courses because of a goat herd, according to The Wall Street Journal. * Public records show that Trump has been able to save thousands of dollars in property taxes on his two properties in Bedminster and Colts Neck, New Jersey. Because of his goat herd, as well as hay farming and wood cutting on his properties, New Jersey law permits Trump to receive a farmland tax break. * Therefore, Trump pays reduced property taxes on the parts of his golf courses dedicated to farming." -- Hmm.. You know, the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition will be up-in-arms over this... yet it wasn't Trump that wrote the bill the New Jersey Congress passed, and it proves his business acumen worthiness to lead our country back to greatness..

---
Well.. Earlier this week, an Atlanta Charter School announced it was going to stop reciting the Pledge of Allegiance each morning...at 6:30 last evening, the school reversed itself. Trump is "Making America Great Again".. what was not announced is WHO'S HEAD ROLLED!

---
From the "I'll be against her before I will be for her"?" department - Online headline: "MI Democrat Nominee: I Will ‘Probably Not’ Support Pelosi, She Doesn’t Speak to my District’s Issues" -- This is the "Campaign Lie of the Year" for all DIMocrat candidates.. but a funny thing will happen if they get that ticket to Washington.. the DIMocrat "train" serves nothing but Kool-Aid.

---
After hearing about the West Hollywood Council passing a non-binding motion to permanently remove Trump's "Star" on the "Walk of Stars"..well, only if the Chamber of Commerce approved such. That was scary when we think about such happening in Columbus. Columbus's Chamber is funded with tax dollars via the Mayor/Council discretion, and our Chamber would have had to "rubber stamp" such a request..it also reminds us how close on of the Chamber members to being a rubber-stamp voting member of our Council.

---
You know, the Council Post 10 runoff has been over since July 24th.. Yesterday marked 2 weeks, and there are still Amy Bryan signs attached to Chamber of Commerce members' buildings.. How about the Chamber getting them removed.

---
Hey, this coming Monday will be the 12 week anniversary of the last of Zeph Baker's LIES.. you know, the one where he promised to turn in his Campaign Donations/Expenditures Disclosure Form the day before the May 22th Election date.

From the "better recheck the source" department - Online headline/story: "Hotly contested Ohio race gets closer after hundreds of uncounted votes are found * The nail-biter playing out in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District got even closer Wednesday after 588 uncounted votes were found in a suburb of Columbus, according to county officials. * The ballots were tallied and Democrat Danny O’Connor gained 190 votes on Republican Troy Balderson. The GOP candidate, who was endorsed by President Trump, currently leads by 1,564 votes. * The Franklin County Board of Elections said in a news release that the newly discovered ballots had not been “processed into the tabulation system,” and the issue was corrected." -- Franklin County "found" some more ballots... hmmm.. say isn't Franklin County the home of the DIMocrat candidate? How convenient.. I guess America is lucky that the Franklin County Board of Election didn't find ballots for that EVERY registered voter in Franklin County... whether dead or alive, had voted for O'Connor .

---
From the "religion of peace?" department - Online story: "Saudi Arabia crucified a Burmese man convicted of killing a woman and committing other crimes Wednesday in the Muslim holy city of Mecca, state media reported. * Elias Abdulkalaam Jamaleddeen entered a Burmese woman’s home firing a gun and then stabbed her to death, according to the state-run Saudi Press Agency, citing an Interior Ministry statement. * Jamaleddeen was convicted of robbing her home and another home, attempted rape, and stealing firearms and ammunition. State media said his conviction was upheld and his execution was endorsed by King Salman. * Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s most prolific executioners. The country’s crucifixions include beheading the criminal and then putting his body on display with the arms outstretched. * Homosexuality and attending anti-government rallies have previously led to crucifixions in Saudi Arabia, according to Business Insider" -- Hmmm.. I could be wrong.. but I'm guessing we can surmise that the Burmese man was not a Muslim... under Muslim law, no crimes were committed.

M/C L-E headline: "Columbus leaders seek strategy for job growth" -- Hmmm, isn't this what the Mayor/Council/Chamber of Commerce was suppose to be doing the first 7.5 years of her mayoralship?

---
M/C L-E story: "An online petition posted this week is titled “LeBron James for Secretary of Education.” By midday Thursday, there were 11,348 signatures, and the surge of signatures caused organizers to keep increasing their goal." -- Good grief.. just because he's 6'8" and can dunk a basketball doesn't make him a life success that he can offer as a role model goal for young students.. I can name the number of basketball players earning $154 MILLION over 4 years in 1 finger, but there are no more openings for his salary range in any current professional sports.

M/C L-E headline: "NOAA: Chances of major hurricane now less likely this year" -- Hmmm... looks like the Climate Change arguments just went "poof"...

---
Can you believe this.. Judge Ellis.. who's presiding over the Manafort inquisition, was rebuked for calling out the prosecution for allowing one of it's witnesses to sit in the court room and listen to the testimony of other witnesses... He was rebuked based on the his earlier allowance of the same witness-to-be to sit in the court room.. the rebuke should be.. and only be.. for the Judge allowing that witness to be present earlier in the trial.

---
M/C L-E headline: "People aren’t coping well with a warmer world" -- Good grief.. earlier in this same M/C L-E edition, the following ran : M/C L-E headline: "NOAA: Chances of major hurricane now less likely this year" -- Hmmm... looks like the Climate Change arguments just went "poof"...

When you add all the facts together, how does a political candidate for a State Governorship feel not being able to control her own finances makes her a qualified candidate.. Ms Abrams has a Juris Doctorate degree from Yale, yet after 19 years of legal practice she's majorly in debt to her Student Loan Company, her credit card issuers, and to the IRS. Now we find out she has $50,000.00 in savings (I do believe an audit to determine that source is necessary) yet wrote a check to her campaign rather than pay off some of her debt..Abrams is just not qualified.. nor right.. for Georgia.. Sadly, the DIMocrats picked her over another woman lawyers who has a record of personal and business success that we could be considering.
