Online story: "President Barack Obama on Sunday said that the U.S. is "fully supportive of Israel's right to defend itself." -- Hmmm, maybe, but what he doesn't say is that he is fully supportive of Israel....but, unfortunately, Hamas and al Qaida and Hezbollah wouldn't fret if he did say that.

---

Online headline: "Obama Asia Trip: Myanmar Visit To Encourage Democracy" -- Hmm, if the people of Myanmar have cable TV, I doubt they will buy into potUS Oblunder's version of dim&dumbmocracy.

---

Online story: "WASHINGTON -- House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi says she's hopeful lawmakers can come to a deal to avoid a year-end "fiscal cliff" but any agreement has to include tax rate increases for the wealthy." -- First off, how about if Nancy and Paul Pelosi publish their tax returns, but other than that, she doesn't have a pot to 'pee-losi' in.

---

WTVM9 headline: "Former Columbus High standout arrested again" -- Poor Kyle Carter.... wonder if he will take his 'bawl' and go home.

---

Fifty million in projects were included that the MCSD Board knew could not be funded by the pie-in-the-sky SPLOST projections. The total of projects submitted was for close to $225 million, and the most that the SPLOST should have been projected to bring in was $175 million. What the MCSD Bioard did was make promises to districts to get those voters' support, but without any intention of getting them done. Simple bribery! Keep that in mind next time.

L-E story: "Many of those visiting Columbus for the annual demonstration are regulars like Chantal, but every year it draws some young newcomers like Arlo Cristofaro, a 17-year-old from Northfield, Minn. * “I really loved how they incorporated art into it, especially with the theatrical puppets. That was something I think was done very, very well,” said Cristofaro, a senior at Arcadia Charter School. “They had the music playing constantly, and all of the art on the sides, and the T-shirts. It was just beautiful how much creativity they put into it.” * To him it was like traveling 24 hours to an outdoor festival. * “It totally is like a festival, which is super cool,” he said. * Cristofaro, who hopes eventually to teach writing for a living, said the weather here adds value to paying a visit to Georgia in November, in light of what it’s usually like in Minnesota this time of year. * “It was like 35 or 40 in Minnesota,” he said. “It was like we got off the bus here and we were just like, ‘Oh! Sweaters done!’ It was so wonderful.” -- First, since this kid is a minor, did the L-E have a permission slip from his mom to talk with him, but think about this guy being your grandchild's teacher one day... Secondly, if an organizer of a Civic Center event had only 2,000 known tickets sold before hand, the event would have been canceled...
---
Lying liberal's L-E "soundoff": "Obama is our president. If you voted for him or not, and I didn’t, you should support him. If you don’t, you’re part of the problem, not the solution. Limbaugh is part of the problem. " -- Obviously, this person voted for potUS Oblunder or he/she would know our Founding Fathers not only made provision (1st Amendment) for every any citizen, EVERY citizen, to speak out and stand up against an overbearing government.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “The facts are always less than what really happened.” — Nadine Gordimer, South African Nobel Prize-winning author. -- I think this gal is campaigning to take Jay Carney's place as potUS Oblunder's spokeperson.
---
L-E story: "SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco may be getting ready to shed its image as a city where anything goes, including clothing. * City lawmakers are scheduled to vote Tuesday on an ordinance that would prohibit nudity in most public places. " -- "Most places"? Most of the country would be relieved if San Francisco just banned it from its Thanksgiving Day parade.
---
L-E story:
-- First, why are tomato pickers from Florida picketing a Publix store in Phenix City, Alabama; but more interesting is that none of the protesters seem to be migrant, illegal aliens of Mexican descent, which is how DIM&DUMBERats usually portray tomato pickers and them taking jobs Americans won't do.
---
From above L-E story: "The protesters outside Publix Sunday were with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. Some demonstrators from the SOA Watch gathering at Columbus’ Fort Benning gate came over to Phenix City to add their support to the workers’ cause. " -- Guess some bused-in college students were trying to double-dip on extra course credit... beats working...
---
A L-E story touches on Dr Martin Luther King, Jr's father, Dr Martin Luther King, Sr. History will have a tough time recalling either. Dr King, Jr's and Sr's first names, legally (and never officially changed) were Michael. Dr. King, Jr adopted "Martin" as it was reminiscent of 16th century German religious reformant, Martin Luther, and Dr King, Sr adopted it after it was "working" for his son.

With LSU beating Texas A&M, Texas A&M beating Alabama, and Alabama beating LSU, does anyone know what the tiebreaker for the SEC West Championship Game slot will be if Auburn upsets Alabama?

It's amazing to me that good people can win elections by speaking independently of outside influences in their districts, but when they get to Washington, they become slaves to positions set forth by a party's leadership which has no connection, no understanding, of those people's individual districts' needs. Roll over, James Madison.

---

Online story: "Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said the U.S. "absolutely" should get rid of the debt ceiling as soon as possible. * "It would have been time a long time ago to eliminate it," Geithner told Bloomberg TV on Friday. "The sooner the better." -- There are just way to many DUMBERats in Washington.... they don't want to pass a spendings budget, they don't want controls on how much debt they can accumulate, and they don't feel taxpayers should complain about how much they are asked to send to Washington.

---

Why is the media so concerned with how Walmart conducts its business in foreign countries? Do we ever see media interest in how unions strong-arm American businesses?

---

Two states, CA and NY, provided an potUS Oblunder margin of 3,946,986 popular votes. The other 48 states gave Romney a popular vote margin of 470,211. There is no landslide. no mandate.

---

Further, if you take away the vote margins in Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Minnesota (states where the Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates are connected), the other 42 states gave Romney a popular vote margin of 2,225,821. Take those 6 states out of the Electoral College vote, and potUS Oblunder loses 119 Electoral votes which make the score 213 for Oblunder and 206 for Romney. Once again, the urban city vote in enough states overwhelms the overall popular vote. There must be change in the Electoral College procedure. Electoral Votes should be cast by individual Congressional District results and the two Senate votes for overall state results. That in mind, Romney would have the Electoral Vote win.

---

The Founding Fathers made sure our right to bear/own guns was prominently presented in our Constitution knowing that every despotic, Marxist, aristocratic, or bureaucratic form of government would favor having no such protective tools in non-police/military hands. The DIM&DUMBERats are at it again...
---
Can you believe that the UN is chastising Israel for defending itself? You know... you can believe it.
---
Protesters can be weird (as overly documented by the Occupy Wall Street movement) but nowhere are they weirder that during the SOA protest. Protesters wear stilts and football mascot uniforms trying to close a school that has been closed for years; don't any of them read the papers they try so desperately to make the news in?
---
Oregon AND Kansas State crumbled this weekend.... Looks like the BCS will have a shot at the match-up they secretly want. If Notre Dame wins out, and Alabama takes the SEC Championship game against UGA, the BCS gets their financial jackpot! Of course, Auburn could be a monkey wrench in the whole scheme. Punt, Bama, punt!
---
Why is it that major cuts are iminent for Ft Benning and the military in general, yet potUS Oblunder wastes tax dollars on fruitless solar energy loans and loan guarantees. Oh, and don't forget the Obamaphone program.
---
The Columbus (GA) Ledger-Enquirer e-edition is not up and running yet (8:11 AM EST), so some stories may not get included today.

Oh...thought of a third "Peter Principle" as it applies to government: When you tax/rob the Pausl and give it to the Peters, you get all the Peters' votes.

---

Online headline: "Susan Rice Libya Remarks Defended By Democrats" -- DOH! Certainly no non-DIM&DUMBERats would defend such an obvious attempt to lie about the truth.

---

DIM&DUMBERat spinmeisters are trying to convince us that changes made to the CIA talking points on Benghazi were made to protect classified information. Excuse me? If the Director of the CIA authorizes a statement, then that information has already been declassified.

---

Question: "How do DIM&DUMBERats classify the truth?

---

The US is on its way to becoming the world's leading producer of oil... not because of potUS Oblunder and the DIM&DUMBERats, but in spite of them.
---

Tradition references the Friday after Thanksgiving as "Black Friday" symbolizing when retailers start making their annual profits. Under the current environment, we should start calling it " Red Friday" to reflect the blood left by aggressive customers and the bloody red bath retailers will have following potUS Oblunder's re-election.

---

Union bosses declared " war on work" by destroying Hostess Brands. 18,000 workers are now jobless because the union bosses thought getting paid $0.00 per hour was better than taking an 8% pay cut. You know, just going along with the pay cut would have given the workers an opportunity to get through Christmas while they looked for new jobs or opportunities. The rub is that the union bosses will still have their jobs, and are getting paid from the dues paid by now unemployed members.
---

Question: When union workers start drawing unemployment, are their union dues deducted from their unemployment checks?

---

DIM&DUMBERats are not only not listening to voter complaints, they are not listening to sworn testimony in the Benghazi.

---

The abandoned bank building at the corner of Veterans Parkway & Whitesville Road has a new tenant. Don't know if it is a second location or a full relocation, but "Sneakers" is the new store. Hmmm, guess that means we may be able to stay in our cars and use the drive-thru window to pick up our exercise shoes/clothing.
---

Kirk Cameron should be named to be our next Director of the CIA. Kirk has a clause in his work contracts specifying he will not kiss a woman other than his wife.

---

Since the courts are striking down photo IDs at the ballot box, why do we have to show photo IDs at airports, cashing checks, and enrolling our children in school?

---

Since the Columbus Water Works is a city owned venture and taxpayers have no voice on the Water Board, wouldn't it be fairer for the CWW to have to put any desired rate increases on the ballot for us to "OK"?

---

Don't you find it amusing that the SOA protest has planned event corresponding to the times the L-E staff works?

---

Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "Fact: America loses $100 billion per year in tax revenue because the wealthy and one out of four corporations make huge profits and stash the money in the Cayman Islands." -- Aside that the writer cannot possibly cite a non-DIM&DUMBERat source for such, that $100 Billion would be a drop in the bucket compared to potUS Oblunder's Trillion dollar deficits.

---

Has anyone heard anything about the hybrid buses the city purchased with potUS Oblunder's "Stim-YOU-LIE" program?

---

From the L-E's "Today in History" feature: "In 1973, President Richard Nixon told Associated Press managing editors in Orlando, Fla.: “People have got to know whether or not their president is a crook. Well, I’m not a crook.” -- Obviously, presidential lying has been with us and documented for nearly 50 years. Isn't it time to stop accepting that?

---

There's a L-E "DealSaver" ad offer in today's L-E offering a deal on ice time and skate rental at the Columbus Ice Rink for a 50% discount. If the Columbus Ice Rink does not operate at a profit, or even on a break even basis, why is the Columbus Ice Rink discounting admission at further taxpayer expense?

---

"Twinkies" will never go away. We are endowed with a lifetime of DIM&DUMBERats and "Twitterers".

---

Guess potUS Oblunder decided not to bailout Dolly Madison. He must feel "twinkies" are not 'pig' enough to fail.

---

L-E headline/story: "Police say woman stole another’s identity to get $1,500 loan * police said (Michelle Lee) Collier used the Social Security number of a woman in Texas to obtain a $1,500 loan Aug. 3, 2010, from Members U____ Credit Union on Veterans Parkway." -- Excuse me, but how does one get a loan at a credit union if she hadn't already been a member long enough for her identity to be verified? This is not a simple case of 'identity theft'... there is something very wrong in the procedural aspect of the credit union.

---

L-E headline: "AU PREZ GOGUE TO MAKE CHIZIK DECISION" -- Something bothers me about this... with coaches salaries being in the stratosphere, is the school paying Chizik's salary or is he paid through the athletic boosters' donations? If the school is paying his $3.5 million contract, then the pay scale is warped; if the boosters' are funding his salary, why does the school president make this call?

---

Why is GM allowed to accumulate cash? Shouldn't there be an effort to make investors "whole" after the government bailout crashed their value?

---

What has the expanded NCAA schedules wrought? Today, only two of the Top 25 teams play another ranked team. Only Oregon in the Top 10 does so.

Online story: "WASHINGTON -- Mitt Romney claimed during a call with donors on Wednesday that he received a call from former President Bill Clinton, who told Romney that had it not been for Hurricane Sandy, he might have won the election." -- Even when he doesn't "have to", Clinton still lies. Romney had it right... the Black and Latino and 18-21 year olds bloc votes were bought by the DIM&DUMBERats with the tax dollars of the Romney supporters. Take away the popular vote margin of just California and New York, and Romney won by 500,000 votes.

---

Online headline: "Kim Jong Un Is The 'Sexiest Man Alive'' -- Oooops, my bad. Thought someone had moved above Hugo Chavez in potUS Oblunder's eyes.

---

Online headline: "Red Cross Spends $181,000 On Swanky Hotel For Sandy Volunteers" -- Hmmm, maybe the Red Cross is rebranding itself as the Gold Gloss.

---

David Patraeus has confirmed there to two versions of the Peter Principle: The business version where everyone exceeds his level of competency , and the political version, where men can't keep it in their pants.

---

Recently, the IRS office moved from its Macon Road location to a business park off Gateway under the excuse of moving to a more central location. I wondered about how much more central could the Macon Road address be until I realized IRS was moving to a more convenient location for actual taxpayers.

---

From a fellow BCer - Online story: "

Voter Fraud: Democrats say America doesn't need voter identification laws because there's no evidence of election cheating. But when a candidate doesn't get a single vote in 59 precincts, you've got to wonder. * One candidate did just that last week in Philadelphia, where Mitt Romney was shut out 19,605-0 in 59 voting divisions. * Philadelphia is also where 75 legal and credentialed Republican election workers were blocked or removed from the polls on Election Day. And Pennsylvania is the Democratic state where a duly legislated voter ID law was blocked by a judge for the 2012 election." -- Even in South Columbus, Romney was at least on the ballot.

---

Now potUS Oblunder days his immediate orders concerning Benghazi were "to do whatever is necessary"to protect Americans. Huh? Who gave the orders for the military and CIA to "stand down"?
---

There's a Canadian mother wanting all the trees in her neighbors' yards that produce acorns/nuts to be cut down because her child has a nut allergy, and she thinks, no, feels, that her child could be "traumatized" seeing "nuts" on the ground. Hmmmm, sounds more like that child has a "nut" for a mom. Hey, Tree Preserving Organizations, where are you when you are really needed?

---

potUS Oblunder challenged Senators McCain & Graham to "go after me" instead of Susan Rice. Excuse me, but shouldn't the media be the group challenging potUS Oblunder on Benghazi?

---

Hmmm, remember presidential candidate Gary Hart (Hartpence)? Remember when he challenged the media to find proof he was a womanizer? Remember the photo the media got of him and a woman on the boat "Monkey Business"? That's what the media should be doing now.

---

potUS Oblunder is chastising Republicans for looking close at Susan Rice, because she only repeated what she was told Oblunder wanted her to say. So, why didn't Oblunder send Hillary instead... because she wouldn't compromise what integrity she had left by repeating Oblunder's video-documented lies.

---

Hurricane Sandy sure had exposed union shops as unresponsive (at a minimum). Citizens throughout the NY/NJ area are still without electricity, heat, water, and phone services.
---

Hurricane Sandy has confirmed that Mitt Romney was right. FEMA was/is a useless waste of tax dollars. States could/would respond better/faster in crises teams were neighbors.
---

Online McClatchy story: "President Barack Obama said Wednesday that FBI rules kept him in the dark about a sex scandal investigation until after his re-election, but his administration refused to release those rules, and a Bush-era policy on investigations included a large loophole that might have allowed notification of the White House in such a high-profile case. * One possible protocol was established during the George W. Bush administration under rules implemented by former Attorney General Michael Mukasey in 2007, aimed at averting political meddling in law enforcement matters. * “Communications with respect to pending criminal or civil-enforcement matters . . . must be limited,” Mukasey wrote in a Dec. 19, 2007, memorandum to his department’s top officials and the country’s U.S. attorneys. *“Therefore, the Department will advise the White House about such criminal matters only where it is important for the performance of the president’s duties and where appropriate from a law enforcement perspective.” * That seemed to suggest there would be cases where the FBI and the Justice Department might think it necessary to inform the White House." -- Does ANYBODY think Robert Mueller and Eric Holder DIDN'T at least casually 'tweet' potUS Oblunder about this? Like Susan Rice, no body works for potUS Oblunder who is not completely on board with him.

---

McClatchy headline: "Obama says he won't embrace Syria's new opposition coalition yet

" -- Excuse me? Didn't we read yesterday that Hillary Clinton announced the sending of $30,000,000.00 to the Syrian rebels?

---

L-E headline: "Turkey recognizes Syrian rebels as legitimate leader" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought potUS Oblunder finally got on the same page with Hillary.

---

McClatchy headline: "Obama: Voters support my plan to raise taxes on wealthy" -- DOH! Voters for potUS Oblunder also support his plan to raise entitlement checks as well. Lets just wait and see how much support his voters have when they get their HELL-thScare and tax bills.

---

McClatchy editorial cartoon: "

-- Unfortunately, it appears potUS Oblunder already possesses all of those.

---

Just curious, but do you think Bama fans are really looking forward to a home game with ...uh..uh.. whatever ... after losing to Texas A&M last week?

---

Liberal's L-E "soundoff": " I forgot. Was it Romney in a landslide or was it Romney under a landslide?" -- Hmmm, like with all DIM&DUMBERat quandaries, I guess it's all in how you define "landslide". Take away the margin of vote for California and New York, and Romney had 500,000 more votes in the other 48 states.

---

The National Debt has not reached $16 TRILLION because of entitlement checks or Obamaphones sent to Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.

---

Hmmm, 50 years ago, WRBL-TV celebrated its 10th Anniversary. Wonder if anyone at WRBL3 realizes today is its 60th Anniversary?

---

Taking a memory walk at learning about the death of Jimmy Griggs, I could not help about thinking about what a waste Golden Park is today. I also think about a time in 1990-91 when there was a spark ignited about building a new baseball/outdoor music facility off the J.R. Allen Parkway to replace Golden Park. Council snuffed out that spark.

L-E picture of SOA protesters:

Looks more like a try-out call at the Springer or Barnum & Bailey. Why does the L-E feel it must perpetuate idiocy?

L-E story: "WASHINGTON — The struggling U.S. Postal Service on Thursday reported an annual loss of a record $15.9 billion, capping a tumultuous year in which it was forced to default for the first time on billions in payments to avert bankruptcy. * The financial losses for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30 compared to a $5.1 billion loss in the previous year." -- Hmmm, what's the working motto of the USPS..."we deliver"? Sounds more like it is delivering the 'hail, rain, sleet and gloom " of infamy list; now add 'more debt' to that. Hey, wasn't there a recent local PO worker claiming that tax dollars didn't pay his salary? Yeah, right.

---

Mortgage rates hit a new low... guess mortgage companies are having a clearance sale of unwanted merchandise.

---

L-E headline/story: "Workers see ‘lost decade’ of declining earnings * Beginning of erosion dates back to 2002 * Equally troubling, real wages are now about the same level as they were in December 2005. * Put another way, wages have clawed back from the Great Recession only to the level of seven years ago" -- Hmmm, amazing... didn't Nancy Pelosi become the Speaker of the House in 2006 through 2010?

---

Has there a takeover at Headquarter Nissan, too?

Online headline: "Obama On David Petraeus Scandal: No Evidence Of Security Breach" -- potUS Oblunder is a guy that responds, "I know nuthing", ala Sgt Schultz, on every other hand-in-the-cookie-jar issue all of a sudden 'KNOWS' there's no security breach?
Go figure... Yep, figures don't lie, but liars figure a lot.

---

Online story: "WASHINGTON, Nov 14 (Reuters) - A computer used by Paula Broadwell, the woman whose affair with CIA director General David Petraeus led to his resignation, contained substantial classified information that should have been stored under more secure conditions, law enforcement and national security officials said on Wednesday. *
President Barack Obama told a news conference on Wednesday that there was no indication so far that any classified documents had been disclosed as a result of the scandal but said he will not prejudge the investigation results." -- Huh? Didn't I read somewhere that potUS Oblunder declared there's "No Evidence Of Security Breach" Oh, yeah..go figure.

---

L-E headline: "Focus on Petraeus, taxes as Obama faces media * Praises long career of former CIA director; states budget deal needs to be done by end of year" -- I'm confused... potUS Oblunder immediately accepted Patraeus's resignation, and he hasn't operated on a budget in over 3 years... wait a minute... I guess we'll have to see how he defines "states".... is it what he says, what we think we heard, or does he mean the (50) states must have their budgets by the end of the year? Wait another minute... the 50 states ALREADY have budgets in place.

---

Online headline: "Residents In All 50 States File Petitions To Secede From United States" -- All 50? You'd think at least Hawaii and Illinois and the other unknown 7 potUS Oblunder claimed to have campaigned in would stay loyal.

---

Online headline: "Europe Austerity Protests: Strikes Sweep Southern Europe In Response To Cuts" -- Coming soon, the sequel: "America Austerity Protests: Strikes sweep America in response to cuts" by Michael Moore.

---

From looking at the voting results of precincts in South Columbus, I'd guess we had a "99 percenters" protest and voter registration drive.

---

A retired military advisor to Fox News says that when General Patraeus testifies, 'he will tell the truth..... as he sees it,. Hmmm .. mighty big qualifier.
---

Senator McCain needs to take his foot out of his mouth before he chews it off. I'm sure McCain is embarrassed for his past "pedestalization" of General Patraeus, but trying to excuse Patraeus for his betrayal to his wife and country may be fatal to him. Sure, leaders are prone to sinful pressures, but the truly great ones understand why they must avoid such pitfalls.

---

The White House's position is that it doesn't NEED General Patraeus to testify about Benghazi. "Need"? How about the White House not WANTING Patraeus to testify under oath!

---

Why is not the mainstream media not concerned about John Kerry's named being floated about as Secretary of Defense? Combined with potUS Oblunder's penchant for not protecting American interests and citizens abroad, and Kerry's personal war protests at home, does not the mainstream media understand what terrorist leaders must be thinking and scheming?

---

The MCSD continues to have furloughs and other money ills, but has a job slot filled for a "Homeless Outreach Specialist". Gimmee a break!
---

Liberal's L-E "soundoff": " I knew Republicans were bad losers, but my goodness, the way they are whining, complaining and crying like little girls is just repulsive. " -- Hmmm, who has a 'war on women"?

---

Another liberal's L-E "soundoff": "Dusty Nix’s Sunday column was insightful, serious and funny. Thank you, Dusty, for your sanity and perceptiveness." -- I knew Dusty "picked' the "soundoff" entries, but this about confirms he writes most of them.

---

L-E's "Thought for Today": “News reports don’t change the world. Only facts change it, and those have already happened when we get the news.” — Friedrich Durrenmatt, Swiss author (1921-1990). " -- What world and century was he living in? Obviously, he didn't work for an American mainstream media outlet.

---

I'm curious... how can the wealthy not be paying their share when they are also subjected to the "Alternative Minimum Tax" that has reamed middle-class American families?

---

That new rate increase the Water Works wants to stick us with.... how much is that going to cover the losses of available water sent down the Chattahoochee to provide recreational needs of the whitewater course?

---

When you look closer at the "water wars" of GA-AL-FL concerning the amount of water passing down the Chattahoochee, Florida will undoubtedly be the winner as the excess flow of water sent through the whitewater course makes its way to Apalachicola.

---

L-E headline: "Decline was 0.2 percent more than expected * (Hurricane) SANDY A FACTOR IN DROP OF OCTOBER RETAIL SALES " -- Just more of potUS Oblunder grasping at straws. Sales preceding Sandy as people stocked up, and prices gouged following Hurricane Sandy should have pushed a rise in retail sales in most off the affected areas, but most areas of the US were not affected by Hurricane Sandy, so what's Oblunder's excuse for that?

---

Appropriately, "Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses." - George Washington Carver

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

General Patraeus.. General Allen... What is this a 'general' conference of chaos? It brings a new vision of 'life in general'. 'Generally' speaking, it's more like a camouflage maneuver to keep potUS Oblunder under the radar. Of course, that is only my general opinion.

---

Online headline: "Obama Tells Progressives He Won't Budge On Bush Tax Cuts" -- Well, liberals are generally (no pun intended) constipated and anal retentive..

Ventured into that Drivers' License Bureau to get my Maggie her first license. After 3 hours of waiting just to do paperwork and get her picture taken, boy do I have a few suggestions the state department of efficiency must have missed.
---

Speaking of the Drivers' License Bureau, A woman sat down in front who told another that she was here to change to a Georgia License. Her California License expired Monday a week ago. She voted... with what for an ID?

---

Since 1984, Kevin Clash, has been the guy pulling strings and manipulating "Elmo" on Sesame Street.... until now. He's been charged with 'tickling' a 16 year old boy 7 years ago, and continuing in a relationship with him. Altogether now, every one send Clash a "Big Bird".
---

If students can be made to think the Academic Success Center is responsible for their turnaround, then there's every expectation that the same methods should work in the mainstay public high schools. The higher cost per child is not justified by results.

---

It's about time we got an update and action on Eddings. His moment in the spotlight has paled compared to Gentry and Shelnutt. While the FBI is at it, maybe they'll shine the light on Eddings' part in the abominable price Council paid for the Woodcrest Apartment complex.

---

Why is it that the federal government claims that inflation is not an issue in our economy, yet every other level of government wants increase above the federal government declared inflation rate. At a minimum, no government entity, such as Columbus Water Works, should be able to ask for a rate increase higher than the cost-of-living increase declared by Social Security.

---

John Turner should review his passion for the restoration of the Chattahoochee he plead 10+ years ago and compare them with the amusement park concept it's become... fast!

---

Uninformed L-E "soundoff": "Can anyone believe that the MCSD leadership is proposing to build a $30 million facility that will only accommodate 500 students when there are so many more pressing needs district-wide?" -- Well. because they've already spent $37-to-$45 million on the new Carver which has only 960 (www.schooldigger.com) students.

---

L-E story: "WASHINGTON — The federal government started the 2013 budget year with a $120 billion deficit in October, an indication that the nation is on a path to its fifth straight $1 trillion-plus annual deficit. * Tax revenue increased 13 percent from the same month last year to $184.3 billion. But spending rose 16.4 percent to $304.3 billion. Spending was held down last October by a quirk in the calendar: the first day of the month fell on a Saturday, so some benefits were paid in September 2011." -- Since the election is over, and nothing has changed about the potUS Oblunder spending habits, the Republican Congressperson in the House must put their feet down and refuse top raise the debt ceiling. Shaking one's finger at a child in a candy store with 'found' money is useless.

---

L-E story: "ATLANTA — Georgia lawmakers have been given thousands of dollars in tickets so they could watch football games, pro wrestling matches and monster truck races from a luxury box, state records show. * The Georgia World Congress Center gave away the tickets, and some of the recipients are on a little-known legislative committee that oversees the state authority, according to a review of lobbying records by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution ." -- Hmmmmmmmmmm, hey, sounds like our Civic Center/Council-public employees situation we have here. Where is the IRS when it's really needed?

---

L-E headline/story: "Lady Cougars open with convincing win * The Columbus girls basketball team got its season off to a good start with a 64-51 win over Carver at home." -- What a crack sports staff we have... or is it that someone's been smoking crack in the proofing department at the Columbus Ledger? Last I heard (though the MCSD may have initiated some unrevealed politically correct changes to take the Bible and it's characters out of gymnasiums, too), Columbus High sports teams were still called the "Blue Devils".

Online story: "PHOENIX — Arizona voters have chosen former Democratic state Sen. Kyrsten Sinema to represent a new Phoenix-area congressional district * Sinema becomes the first openly bisexual member of Congress, winning a race that featured millions of dollars in attack ads." -- What's with this "first openly bisexual member of Congress" claim? Name another DIM&DUMBERat Congressperson with whom anyone of any sex hasn't been repeatedly violated.

Guess we'll see a sequel movie out about David Patraeus soon. Guess the working title will be "Fatal Attraction 69".

---

The biography by Paula Broadwell seems ironically cryptic now.... "All IN" The paperback edition will probably be renamed, "All DONE".

---

WRBL3 story: "The UPS Foundation says it will no longer give grants to the Boy Scouts of America as long as the group excludes gays and lesbians from being scouts or scout leaders." -- UPS could have chosen to do this silently, but to public publish its 'reason' is nothing but politics. UPS is off my "use' list.... Hope a lot of you will follow suit. Make a donation, too, to the BSA and list UPS's actions as your motivation.

As the truth comes out, it now looks like Eric Holder knew the FBI was investigating Patraeus, and potUS Oblunder would have a sledgehammer to wield over Patraeus's head to make him agree that Benghazi was caused by that video, rather than a planned terrorist assault.

---

The best bargaining chip of the House has is to rein in potUS Oblunder's reign of financial terrorism is to refuse to raise the debt ceiling and force Oblunder and Reid to actually present a budget for all to see how they want to spend our money.

The New York people being interviewed about their power losses, and whining about the inconvenience must be, have to be DIM&DUMBERats. All they say is they're sitting on their butts waiting for someone else to fix things. The Republicans inconvenienced by the Hurricane Sandy are too busy to talk with media.

---

100,000 NY were still without power Monday AM. Of course, they are probably Republicans who will be without power for the next 40 or more years as well.

---

North Carolina not only reversed the 2008 results and went for Romney, NC also elected a Republican governor. Amazing is that DIM&DUMBERats outnumber Republicans by 800,000. Guess voters looked at the DNC Convention as an Occupy Charlotte sit-in.

A Victoria's Secret model was fired for wearing a feathered Indian headdress. Hmm... surely there is a lawsuit in there for being fired for wearing too much.

---

A prominent judge, lawyer, and pastor have passed in the past 5 months or so. All left their mark, but only 1 left no baggage we have to avoid talking about.

Theoretically, the SEC could end the season with 10 bowl-eligible teams.
