Taking a memory walk at learning about
the death of Jimmy Griggs, I could not help about thinking about what a waste
Golden Park is today. I also think about a time in 1990-91 when there was a
spark ignited about building a new baseball/outdoor music facility off the J.R.
Allen Parkway to replace Golden Park. Council snuffed out that
spark.
