Mercer beat Duke in round 1. Buffet's Billion is safe.

Do you think the TV networks really want to carry 1st and 2nd round lunch time & early afternoon NCAA tournament games? Surely, ad sales cannot be justified for the TV viewers at these times.

Online headline: "Starbucks CEO To Donate $30 Million To Support PTSD Research For Veterans" -- Standing "O" for him.. but what about the rest of us... shouldn't he donate as much researching the adverse effect of the caffeine jolt of a second cup of his coffee on college students PTSD (Post Test Sleep Deprivation)?

Online story: "Michigan's 10-year-old ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional, a federal judge ruled Friday in Detroit. * U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman's ruling says the ban violates the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution." -- What this country needs is a moratorium on judges in various parts of the country making contradictory rulings involving the 9th, 10th, and 14th Amendments All cases involving same sex marriages should be put on hold in lower courts until the U.S. Supreme Court makes a unifying decision, based on the intent of the Founding Fathers, on which Amendment(s) apply or take precedence.

Online story: "A town hall in southeast Wisconsin turned testy for Republican Rep. Paul Ryan * The more heated exchange occurred when Alfonso Gardner, a black man from Mount Pleasant, read aloud remarks Ryan made last week on the "culture problem" among inner-city men. * Quote: ""We have got this tailspin of culture, in our inner cities in particular, of men not working and just generations of men not even thinking about working or learning the value and the culture of work," Ryan said in an interview with conservative radio host Bill Bennett. "There is a real culture problem here that has to be dealt with." * The statements were immediately interpreted as racist by Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.)" -- There goes the "race card".. conversation over..... the disintegration of the family in inner city environments long ago eclipsed any claim of racism.. It is a blight that transcends, encompasses , and has infiltrated all races. It is indeed cultural, but anachronistic politicians/black leaders like Representatives Barbara Lee, Sheila Jackson Lee, and Charlie Rangel..plus self-appointed and outspoken 'clergy' such as Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Jeremiah Wright have stirred the dying ashes of racism back into flames at every opportunity, and when level headed, accomplished black industrialists/professionals such as Herman Cain, Bill Cosby, Condoleezza Rice or Benjamin Carson step up in leadership roles, liberal media beats them down as "aberrations" of "the place" blacks must remain so racism, hate and animosity keep their status quo of bygone eras.
---
Online story: " U.S. Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., on Tuesday called Tea Party members "mean, racist people" because they belong to red states, which were once part of the Confederacy. " -- Only a racist himself would label another group racist.
---
Online headline: "Analysts say Putin tapping Russian resentment of US" -- Well, it's certainly working.. from Judas 00-Barnum's US poll numbers, it's apparent that 62% of us are embarrassed by Judas 00-Barnum's responses as well... or should I say, "lack of responses". We can only assume the Russians are even more emboldened than they otherwise would be.

Online headline/story: "SMUGGLING SMOKES Study: As taxes on cigarettes go up, so does smuggling, * More than half of the cigarettes for sale in New York are smuggled into the state illegally – the highest percentage in the country, according to a recent report from the Tax Foundation. * According to the report, 56.9 percent of the cigarettes sold in the Empire State are brought in from other states. New York state has the highest cigarette taxes in the country – a whopping $4.35 a pack. If you live in New York City, it’s another $1.50 per pack, bringing taxes to $5.85 per pack, with the overall cost of a pack in the city in the $12 to $15 range.." -- The "ics" are winning...NOT! Hey, LIBS... we "know" you always can point to your "good intentions" even though we KNOW those "good intentions" will fail, be cause we KNOW your "good intentions" are based on the "ic" factor: Icon-IC, iron-IC, and moron-IC... In this particular situation, there's a double dose of the "IC" factor... most of the cigarettes being smuggled in are for consumption by the liberals and entitlement population.

Looks like new NYC Mayor de Blasio has taken lessons from Judas 00-Barnum.. First, he's attacked the iconic horse & buggy trade that has immortalized the sensation that "NY is for Lovers", and now he's about to destroy Central (and other iconic ones) Park's by confiscating other people's donations in order to redistribute the funds to other parks. 75% of Central Park's funding comes from private donations.Mayor de Blasio doesn't feel that's "fair", so he wants to take funds from Central Park and use them in public housing neighborhood parks. It's another one of those "ic" factor liberal "good intention"... BUT how long will the "donors" who want their donations to go to Central Park preservation keep donating when they find their "donations" are being confiscated. So goes Central Park. so goes the NYC tourism industry, and it looks like Central Park is going to become a weed patch.

Online quote source: " “Sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people.” - Elizabeth Green" -- What a revelation! I don't know who "Elizabeth Green" actually is, but she must be the liberals' "Goddess of IC" This has to be the guiding "lite" of liberals and other atheists alike. Can you not see this "quote" being the inspiration of OObamaCRAP, Hillary, Alan Colmes, Ellen, Chris Matthews, Algore, the Kennedy family et al? They just haven't found the exact person to make liberalism work as they know it will when they find that person. That had to be the reason libs flocked to Judas 00-Barnum... and we know how that hasn't worked for them.
---
Liberals...ARRGGGHHHH!!!!! When questioned about what fixes the Democrats were offering instead of making more delays, uber-lib Alan Colmes said, those ( the delays) ARE the fixes! Good grief... why does Fox give liberals, Alan Colmes specifically , air time?
---
According to Judas 00-Barnum supporter, Fox contributor Blob Beckel says Wellpoint says it's happy with OObamaCRAP. Wellpoint, according to Beckel says it has more policies out and less expenses. I reckon so..the lower premiums combined with higher deductibles means customers are finding out how costly OObamaCRAP is, and are avoiding trips to the doctor and hospital for tests.
---
How many healthcare ads have you seen featuring the GEICO gecko? Don't you imagine Warren Buffett wants nothing to do with it?
---
Affordable Care Act... Nancy Pelosi's voice track seems to be stuck on this phrase. I guess it might be interesting if she'll publish her definition of what she thinks "affordable" is?
---
Latest from the DNC: "Hal - Think about what will happen if we do not succeed in 2014. We're going to the polls in November to elect the last Congress that will ever work with President Barack Obama. * There are no second chances with this one. We have to do this right, and we have to do it now." -- Well, I certainly am thinking about "it", and am inspired to help conservatives to get elected in their place.
---
Online story: "ATLANTA (AP) Voters will decide whether to freeze Georgia's top marginal income tax rate at the current level of 6 percent. * State lawmakers gave final approval Thursday to a proposed constitutional amendment that would effectively freeze the state's current top marginal income tax rate. " -- What we need to do is go to the polls and send whoever sponsored this bill "packing"! We need leaders to not only cap state expenses, but find ways to CUT income tax rates.. "cuts" are what put more money in workers pockets to use to kick-start the economy.

Online headline/story: "llinois to Follow California's Lead With 'Millionaire Tax' Referendum * Michael Madigan, a Democratic Party boss whom most regard as the true ruler of the state--surpassing Democrat Gov. Pat Quinn--would need to convince three-fifths of both houses to pass the tax hike as a constitutional amendment before it could be put to the voters. * Democrats hold supermajorities in both the House and Senate in Illinois, thanks partly to the fact that Madigan redrew the districts after the 2010 Census * Madigan is unfazed by research that proves that taxes on millionaires encourage them to leave the state, as has been the case in New Jersey. * Well, if they’re in Illinois today, they’re probably so much in love with Illinois that they’re not going to leave," he said, according to the Tribune--a backhanded acknowledgement of how poorly the state is already doing. " -- This, my friend, is what Judas 00-Barnum was weaned on, and has never been weaned off.

SOAPBOX MOMENT: L-E headline: "City takes first step toward Atlanta rail * Study shows high-speed rail could open in 20 years, be immediately profitable" -- Have I been asleep for two weeks, and the L-E is running its "April 1st headline joke? What we have here is Mayor Obamalinson giving $350,000.00 to a group of her friends to conduct a survey that has no immediate, if any at all, impact/consequences who have taken the money in exchange for a pie-in-the-sky, non-refutable confirmational report that suits the Mayor Obamalinson's intended desires. "Immediate profit"? There's not a government department that operates on a "profit basis" and few that may actually improve their operations from year-to-year so that the budget can be less of a burden on actual taxpayers. This basically amounts to L-E election bias. The headline is ludicrous, but if the L-E is merely citing Mayor Obamalinson's words, then the first question the L-E should have asked (and expounded on) is her proof of how such an expenditure will be immediately profitable, and why Warren Buffet is not on this opportunity right now!

I am really curious as to how a train capable of running at 220 MPH would acquire that speed if it was an "express", but there's a planned stop on the way. Jets from Columbus, capable of flying at 35,000 feet, don't have time but to get to 10,000 feet before landing in Atlanta on a direct route. The high speed train is going to stop and reload at Newnan.

Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " The Sound Offer who said Putin should get the Nobel Peace Prize earned the record for the most absurd contribution ever." -- Well, if the Nobel Committee actually awards it to Putin, this LIV (Low Info Voter.. new BC acronym) might have a point, but even this, the jury would probably get "hung" trying to decide whether this of Judas 00-Barnum's award was the most absurd.
---
Another L-E "soundoff": " When I joined the military it was illegal to be homosexual, then it became optional, and now it’s legal. I’m getting out before the Democrats make it mandatory." -- This is the funniest one (that I didn't send in) that has ever been printed by the L-E.
---
Punxsutawney Phil was right! We have Spring right on schedule. Hmmm, wonder if those below the equator are equally impressed as Fall begins?
---
L-E headline: "Turkish attempt to ban Twitter appears to backfire" -- Hmmm, sorta proves the adage that you cannot stop a big twit from being a big twit.

What else can the libs and unions complain about at Walmart? Now they are complaining about a tremendous ad featuring a special needs worker. Walmart already is one of our nation's, the world even, employers, and has a relatively new cash register feature that denotes other competitors' prices, and if the competitors' price is lower, Walmart is giving their customers "store credit" for the diferences. I shop there, and while I doubt I'll ever be in one of the internet famous "walmart shoppers" montages, I will continue to shop there because it makes other retailers more competitive, and that, my friends, is one of those things that makes America GREAT!
