Football union follow-up section:

1 - College football players unionizing... it's really not about college players getting paid.. it's about the influence on salaries of other unionized college personnel.. teachers. Once the players vote for unionization, there will be a drive to include coaches as well, and put them under the umbrella for group salary scales.

2 - Graduation will be a thing of the past for most college football players.. good ones will get extended year contracts that the NCAA will not be able to challenge without a plethora of 'age discrimination' law suits, and mediocre players will get fired in their 1st or 2nd years.

3 - Oooooow..since limiting football players to only 4 years as a college employee would be age discrimination, colleges could start going after NFL players in a draft rather than spending all that money in recruiting, and since most already have a degree, they wouldn't have to pay the school for tuition.
