To the overwhelming majority of us, Happy St Patrick's Day! To the Mayor's of New York and Boston, and beer makers Samuel Adams and Heineken, Happy St PATrinizing Day.

I think I've figured out the plot line of the reality show,"Naked and Afraid". It's the campaign strategy of the Democrats who are avoiding Judas 00-Barnum and OObamaCRAP like the plague.

---
Online headline: " Crimea Votes Overwhelmingly To Join Russia" -- If Judas 00-Barnum was concerned about the Crimean elections going the wrong way, he should have sent ACORN registrars to supervise the ballot boxes.

---
From a fellow BCer... a simple question.. a simple truth: If the health plan is a good one why do the people have to be constantly bombarded with suggestion to sign up? Wouldn't that be a natural result of being offered such a wonderful plan, especially if one did not currently have any health coverage? Just asking.

---
Washington Times online story: "(Judas 00-Barnum's spinmeisters have) argued it is tougher on illegal immigration than previous presidents, and immigrant-rights groups have excoriated President Obama, calling him the “deporter-in-chief” for having kicked out nearly 2 million immigrants during his five-year tenure * Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson acknowledged Tuesday that his department’s deportation numbers are now mostly made up of illegal immigrants caught at the border, not just those from the interior, which means they can’t be compared one-to-one with deportations under President Bush or other prior administrations" -- Hmmm... maybe ICE and DHS books should be under IRS audit rather than OObamaCRAP... You know.. with 00-Barnum's penchant for cooking the books and facts of every aspect of his life, maybe it's time to get mainstream media to look into his birth certificate claims again.
---
Online headline: "Obama gets advance copies of ‘Game of Thrones’" -- Huh? What for.. to "proof" it, or is Judas 00-Barnum looking for new ideas on how to rule?
---
Online headline: "Oprah Winfrey To Sell Chicago-Based Harpo Studios" -- Makes sense.. what's not for sale in Chicago politics?
---
What's the NCAA thinking? I can see.. even partially accept "play-into/feed games" to get into the 64 team brackets, but those type games should only between "bubble teams" who could just as well be decided by a coin-flip or straw-draw (but the NCAA sees only the extra dollars of 4 more TV games), but what is this business of having two teams playing into the 11th and/or 12th seed positions? Technically, the two teams playing should be the 11th & 12th or the 12th & 13th seed of their respective brackets, and the 15th & 16th teams should be playing for the 16th seed slot.
---
From above: To make things worse, the NCAA actually has one quadrant that has 3 feed games into the 16 team bracket (another has one feed game, and 2 have no feed games to get in). Tecnically, there are actual odds on a team that wasn't invited on its season ending results to end up winning the tournament.. boy, that would be egg on the face of the NCAA.
---
Soapbox moment: Personally, I think the NCAA should reduce the teams back to 32, but I could be happy if it dropped the teams to 48 in number. Give the top 16 a bye to the second round, and let the other 32 teams play into the round of 16. Better match-ups would create more fan interest and better TV games. Me, I may not watch a single one. Sure I like college basketball even better than pro-ball, but knowing I would have to listen to Dick Vitale or mute the sound if I watch the Final 4 series, I'll find something else to do or watch. Sidenote: Why is the NIT tournament still in existence?

Under-informed voter's L-E "soundoff": "Re: to the article about the thousand and thousands of children being reared by the grandparents, where are the fathers of these children? Find them and make them pay." -- Haven't those children suffered enough without dragging deadbeats back into their lives? If they do re-appear, a neutering program would be the best result.
---
Low and mis-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Before veterans condemn Jane Fonda, they should ask why they were sent halfway around the world to fight Communism when Kennedy allowed a Communist dictator to overthrow the Cuban government." -- Hmm, interesting, since Castro overthrew the Batista government in 1959. This is what happens when libs are put in charge of rewriting history for public school education.
---
Note from above..Current day Cuba is what happens when a Marxist lawyer is given power to rule a country.

Notice: To all Americans - The "Dignity" Vietnam Memorial Wall is now in place for viewing at the National Infantry Museum located in Columbus, GA, just outside the gates of Ft Benning. It will be here for 5 years (unless we can get "Dignity" to consider making it a permanent gift to the memories of brave American soldiers and a reminder of what letting liberal politicians run a war will do.).
---
From the "transparency?" department - Online story: "WASHINGTON — The Obama administration more often than ever censored government files or outright denied access to them last year under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, according to a new analysis of federal data by The Associated Press." -- I see this as the total abandonment of the openness guaranteed to the mainstream media by our 1st Amendment. Judas 00-Barnum knows the "do-you-expect-me-to-leave-my-desk-and work"" ethics of liberals, so he knows that if he blocks the easy way for mainstream journalists to 'fact check' him, then mainstream media will not leave their desks to root out the facts.
---
L-E story: "VATICAN CITY — Christians and Muslims have joined to try to help free millions of men, women and children held in modern-day slavery, forced to work as maids, prostitutes, child soldiers and manual laborers." -- The real test of the Muslim sincerity to end slavery will be when Muslims clean up their slave procurement businesses in Africa.

Howard "Bo" Callaway passed at 86 Saturday. He was the first Republican Congressman elected in GA since the Civil War; was the first Republican to win the popular vote for GA's Governor's office but got shafted by the Democrat SUPER- majority in the GA House of Representatives, was Secretary of the Army for Nixon and Ford, and a true Southern gentleman. His memory and legacy will be an inspiration .... until his life is rewritten by liberal public school history book editors/writers.
