41 of the 55 Democratic caucusing Senators voted against the Keystone XL
Pipeline bill. Guess they figured, "why should Mary Landrieu of Louisiana
benefit and keep her Senate seat?
---
You know.. I can only guess that the Democratic Party's strategy is to let the Republican Senate pass the Keystone XL Pipeline bill in January and when Obamageddon vetoes it. claim that the Republicans won't work with the Democrats. What are the Dims thinking? The coal industry unions are already upset, and now the oil industry & construction industry unions will be PO'd as well.
---
I sorta hope the Republicans will put impeachment talk to sleep for the next two years.. Obamageddon will hang himself with out any help of Republicans..
---
HuffPost headline: "Regulators Demand Takata Airbag Recall Be Made Nationwide" -- Hmmm sorta like what the voters did to Democrats earlier this month. I like that idea.

You know..anyone in Ferguson, MO who is carrying a sign saying "We want an
indictment" is not interested in "justice".
---
HuffPost headline: "Ferguson Protesters Fear Police Crackdown After Grand
Jury Decision" -- Well.. if you break the law, attempt to have a "public
lynching" then you SHOULD have FEAR.
---
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon says he's called out the National Guard to
protect federal and state buildings. Hmmm, what about the buildings/homes of the
taxpayers who paid to have those federal & state buildings built?
---
You know.. this weather blast of cold is just what Ferguson protestors
need.. The mayor should have the Ferguson Fire Department on hand to soak any
hotheads in water.
---
Let's talk about Jonathan Gruber being employed at MIT. MIT gets a lot of
federal funding for lots of research programs. In January, the Republicans
should issue a moratorium on MIT funding if MIT doesn't fire Gruber, and, in
addition, the Republicans should also issue a warning to every other college or
university and any other government funded programs, that if they hire Gruber,
no federal funds will be forthcoming.

Online headline: "Jason Carter on a potential comeback: ‘I’m not ruling it
out.’" -- Huh? Don't you have to have had achieved something on your own and
lose it before you can claim a comeback? Any politician who's primary campaign
strategy is to have his political ancestors lead the way doesn't qualify as a
"comeback kid".

Soapbox moment:
While there may be more detail available after this hits the
Ledger-Enquirer, I'd like to know why the MCSD has over 500 buses (figure provided by
a MCSD board member) yet only 207 bus drivers (figure provided by another MCSD
board member), and yet early speculation says that the MCSD system wants to
purchase another 60 buses in the new SPLOST project list.
While 'we' are at it, why hasn't the MCSD initiated selling the bus maintenance/storage facility off Whitesville Road? It's about 44 cares of PRIME real estate that could easily bring between $1,000,000.00 and $1,500,000.00 or more PER acre, and since the MCSD has more buses than it needs/uses, then selling those excess ones off should bring in millions of dollars more. Oh, and there's definitely already owned MCSD property that could be set up for a new, more efficient bus maintenance/storage facility.

L-E story: "An attorney for Marshal Greg Countryman and Municipal Court
Clerk Vivian Bishop insists that his clients were "forced into" their legal
situation with the city and that they had no choice but to use city-issued
credit cards to retain legal representation.." -- Good grief... sounds like the
excuse Jameis Winston used when we stole crab legs.. sorta I didn't have any and
wanted some because someone else had some.
---
In addition, Countryman's and Bishop's use of taxpayer provided budget
funds without known ability to reimburse the taxpayer funded budget is an
absolute malfeasance of duties offense, and should be criminally persued.
