Online story: "Fox News’ John Roberts said Sunday that he has not been
granted an interview with the Democratic candidate in the Georgia Senate race
despite repeated requests, and was even removed as a moderator for a debate
after her campaign complained. * “Despite Robert's long track record of having
worked for Fox, CNN prior to that, and CBS News before that for 14 years, they
didn’t like the idea that someone from Fox would be moderating that debate, so
out I went,” he said.." -- This is the same candidate who campaigns on being
willing to work both sides of the aisle... and whom the L-E is endorsing. Guess
this shows the bias of the L-E and leanings of Know Nothing Nunn since they
obviously see "I to I"

I don't have anything against Debbie Buckner being a State Representative,
but if the L-E is endorsing people because the L-E editorial board wants
effective representatives, then why didn't the L-E think a Republican
Representative would be a better representative for that district. A Republican
would have more chance to get state help. It couldn't simply be that the
editorial board just won't endorse a black Republican, could it. That seemed to
be the case when it did not endorse Nate Sanderson for the school board
race.

Hey, L-E.. RE: Sanford Bishop... what's his qualification... that he's been
there forever? His District includes South Macon, South Columbus and Albany, all
of which are in the worst states of unemployment in GA. perhaps another
Republican Representative in Congress would be more effective with a Republican
Majority.

L-E story: "The U.S. government agreed to a police request to restrict more
than 37 square miles of airspace surrounding Ferguson, Missouri, for 12 days in
August for safety, but audio recordings show that local authorities privately
acknowledged the purpose was to keep away news helicopters during violent street
protests. * FAA air traffic managers struggled to redefine the flight ban to let
commercial flights operate at nearby Lambert-St. Louis International Airport and
police helicopters fly through the area - but ban others." -- Good grief..
Mainstream media has gone beserk! What exactly does mainstream media thinks it
could add to the riots/protests in Ferguson buzzing overhead.... more chaos...
more incitement... more violence?

LIV's L-E "soundoff": " I am 69 and retired, and my 2015 COLA will be $20/
month. That won’t pay for medicine, rent, gas, insurance and food. What do
Republicans expect me to do — get two or three jobs?" -- Good grief.. how did
this become a Republican "thing"? A Democrat, FDR, started Social Security as a
volunteer option for savings, Democrats, led by Algore, looted Social Security
by converting all the input into low interest government bonds and then spending
the cash like it was tax revenue which sparked inflation which devalued all your
Social Security dollars. and Democrats added aliens and who haven't contributed
into the Social Security account to participate. The only problems with Social
Security is voters who send Democrats to Washington.

L-E story: "Climate change is happening, it’s almost entirely man’s fault
and limiting its impacts may require reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero
this century, the U.N.’s panel on climate science said Sunday." -- You know..
long before man existed, there wasn't a Century that "greenhouse gas emissions"
didn't exist..
Unfortunately, there aren't any animals as stupid as liberals that the
Climate Change crowd can tap for donations

L-E headline: "Late Obama push for Democrats in Conn., Pa. governor races"
-- You know.. if I were president, I think I'd be out campaigning for Senate
candidates. Of course, if I was president, Senate candidates would WANT ME to
campaign for them.
---
L-E Millard Grimes commentary headline: "Proposed tax cap a bad idea" --
You know.. I actually agree with Millard on this issue (in fact I think all of
the ballot issue are bad ideas). Regardless, I am voting for the state income
tax cap.. simply because we never know when a swing back to Democrats in power
could occur, and a GA Constitutional Amendment on capping the income tax rate
will seem mighty appealing. Oh.. I'm voting "NO" on the other 3 ballot
issues.
---
L-E headline: "SEC HOPES FOR 2 IN PLAYOFF CHOMPED BY GATORS" -- Good
grief.. has anyone seriously considered that GA would even have an SEC victory
if it played an SEC West schedule? As for the SEC having two of the four teams
in the Championship playoffs, don't hold your breath. There are so many late
season head-to-head match ups between the best teams for the "selection
committee" to forget even a close loss. About the only thing you can count on
from the championship selection committee is that it will be politically
correct.

Noticed an ad by the Columbus L-E to hire "Student and Adult Sales Reps for
a special Newspaper Subscription program contacting non-subscribers at home to
increase delivery for the L-E" -- Good grief.. for the L-E to expect to do this
basically describes why people no longer subscribe to the L-E. The L-E is
out-of-touch.. Home "landlines" are at all time lows, and there's no phone book
for cell phones.. besides, when people already pay for phone/computer data
services, who's really interested in paying for print delivery?
