Online headline: "Obama calls act 'pure evil'" -- Hmmm.. wonder if Obamageddon will tell them he can be more flexible after the next election?
---
Tell you what.. there are groups who want peaceful demonstrations in Ferguson, MO following the grand jury verdict... first.. they must pretty well accept that Officer Wilson was not acting in an unacceptable manner to be even contemplating the verdict being just. Secondly, if they are concerned that "outside.. other" protestors will be violent, then the peaceful groups should cancel any appearance after the grand jury makes its announcement... Oh! Mainstream media should be banned...period.
---
Have you seen the Jason Carter for Governor ads that are still running, the ones about Georgians out of work? Hmmm .. guess the ad is true, in a sense.... there are more Democrats unemployed now than before the election.
---
HuffPost headline: "Charles Manson Gets Marriage License" -- Wanna bet it's to scam the California US welfare systems?
---
There's speculation that the Republican Congress may "shut down" the government. How do you "shut down" something that's "broke down"? What's really in need is for Congress to " shut off" the flow of cash to programs, and their staff, that aren't working according to their business plan.
---
HuffPost headline: "Chocolate Companies Warn Of Looming Global Shortage" -- Good grief..have Valentine displays already been put out?
---
HuffPost headline: "Almost 36 Million People Around The World Live As Slaves" -- Obviously the Democratic Party voters in the US were not counted.
---
You know..Jonathan Gruber wasn't blaming American voters for being "stupid", he was talking about the Democratic Party Congresspersons and mainstream media blindly stirring up the American voter to think OObamaCRAP was their cure-all.
---
HuffPost story: "Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) responded on Monday to comments made by Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) about net neutrality, the latest exchange in what is becoming an ongoing, public back-and-forth. The debate began when Cruz dubbed the concept "Obamacare for the Internet." Franken said in an interview on Sunday that Cruz has no idea what he's talking about. * “When [Cruz] says this is the Obamacare -- Obamacare was a government program that fixed something, that changed things,” Franken said. “This is about reclassifying something so it stays the same. This would keep things exactly the same that they've been.” -- V-8 needs to put Franken in a commercial, and let Cruz slap him upside his head a few times.. Who's Franken's publicist.. Jonathan Gruber?
---
Do you wonder what else Jonathan Gruber has an opinion on how stupid mainstream media has been on other Obamageddon decisions?
---
Jay Carney says the Jonathan Gruber's comments will hurt... How do we believe what Carney says?
---
Online headline: "Oops! Obama Says Gruber “Never Worked on Our Staff” -- You know.. technically, Obamageddon may be right depending on how you define "worked". Gruber could have just been the speechwriter.
---
WTVM9 story: "COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The husband and wife team of Ken and Lakeisha Degourvill. are accused of doctoring more than 2,000 tax returns and receiving at least $2 million worth of fraudulent money. * Both Ken and Lakeisha Degourville are being held in the Muscogee County Jail on a $75,00 bond, per felony, for a total of $37,500 each" -- Good grief.. why would "bail" be set, much less at what would be "petty cash" , when they have untold amounts of cash stowed away, probably out of the country where they are sure to flee once out on bail!

Online Mayor Teresa TomLYINGson story: "In 2030, you will be able to ride high speed passenger rail from Columbus, Georgia to Atlanta for $41 one-way. That’s what the 2014 Columbus to Atlanta High Speed Rail Feasibility Study shows. * According to the study, the ride will take approximately 60 minutes with one stop in Newnan. The electrified train will have travel speeds up to 220 mph. The 91 miles of rail will stretch along existing right-of-way on I-85 and I-185 between the two cities. The rail line, including stations and six electric trains, will cost $3.9 billion, with a generous 30% contingency. This cost is comparable to other major mass transit projects at $42.5 million per mile." -- 6 electric trains... hmmm.. and how long will it be before some Common Core educated computer jockey sends one off from each direction to see where the two will collide?
Second comment: Who realistically thinks... well other than Mayor TomLYINGson who thinks $244,000.00 bathrooms are a bargain, that the time to or from Atlanta with a stop to unload/reload in Newman will happen within an hour?
---
From above story: "The rail line is expected to accommodate 1.1 million riders in its first year of operation. Its first year profitability ratio is expected to be 1.21, meaning that its $23.6 million anticipated annual revenue stream will off-set its $19.5 million annual maintenance and operations costs. This profitability ratio is expected to grow each year to an estimated 1.34 in 2040 and 1.5 in 2050. Such a rail line would create a minimum of 11,000 jobs" -- Hmmm... 1,100,000 riders the first year.. that's over 3,000 riders per day buying tickets at $21.00 a pop starting in 2030. If the high speed trains were running today, no $21.00 tickets would cover the costs. much less cover the maintenance, and there would certainly be no return on investment for the taxpayers who are being bilked into paying for this construction.

Online story by Isaiah Hugley on "How TSPLOST is working for us" - :In Columbus, Georgia we voted yes to impose a dedicated tax on ourselves in a bold move to insure that local transportation needs that were long range will be met now. * Over the next ten years, the landscape of Columbus will change as a result of the TSPLOST vote. Eight new transportation projects will be designed and built, while over $250 million in infrastructure and capital projects will be invested. Another $30 million will be collected for discretionary use." Good grief.. what's the use of having "transportation Projects" when you won't be able to get to them via local roads because Red McDaniel won't be around to get them fixed. I've spent more "around town riding time" in the last week, and the pothole and repavement programs must be nonexistent.. Other than JR Allen and I-185, I dodged road hazards on every street I rode on.

Online headline/story: "Colorado Public School Bans Praying, Singing Hymns, or Talking About “Religion” * Alliance Defending Freedom has filed a lawsuit on behalf of the students. He says the school rebuffed a letter of explanation ADF sent to the administration. “We sent them a letter explaining that it clearly violated our client’s First Amendment rights,” * “They responded and said "We don’t see it that way" -- Hmmm.. wonder if the US Supreme Court will take it lightly that a group of local politicos has decided they are the only "wisdom" they need to consult?
---
Another Jonathan Gruberesque LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Wouldn’t it be horrible if we had England’s gun regulations? The majority of handguns outlawed. Much harder to obtain guns. Of course, there would be over 30,000 lives saved each year, but that’s not important." -- You know.. Gruberesque type people operate on the premise that criminals will obey laws.. why do we let them even vote on laws?
---
Another Jonathan Gruberesque LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The present condition of climate change is due to man-made pollution. It has nothing to do with creation, evolution, religion or atheism." -- Good grief.. the only man-made pollution we have to fear is generated by liberal opinionaters.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Your way of giving is more important than what you give.” — Vietnamese proverb. -- Hmmm.. this should be cut into the walls of Congress... giving from someone else's pocket is not compassion.
---
L-E story: "Leaders of the grassroots group trying to save the building that housed the first school built for black children in Columbus want the Muscogee County School Board to help. * The Rev. Richard Jessie and Alexis Jarrett presented the $10.8M proposal from the Friends of Historic Claflin during the board’s meeting Monday night. They asked the board to contribute $8 million — and the Friends would raise the rest — by putting it on the school district’s pending list of projects for the next Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. Superintendent David Lewis plans to submit that list to the board in January and ask for authorization of a March referendum that would renew the 1 percent sales tax for another five years. The SPLOST Muscogee County voters approved in 2009 for the school district’s capital projects expires after Dec. 31." -- Aside from the 'rev" Richard Jessie outrageous claims that children of slave went to Claflin, if the MCSD puts such a project on the new SPLOST ballot, don't just vote "no", vote "HELL NO!"
---
On a local basis.. two letters in the L-E today need responses.. Former L-E publisher and current Carter Chair professor at UGA thinks Obamageddon is not a "lame duck" president.. semantics of course, but it's his way of liberal denial of reality, and he shouldn't be allowed to be within a 1,000 feet of a classroom; and whatever Judy F Brouilette, officer of the Muscogee County Democratic Party, says is just the opposite of what we need.
---
You know.. if blacks in this country want to sue someone for retribution for slavery, why aren't they suing African slave merchants that still exist today?
---
L-E story: "Japan’s economy unexpectedly slipped back into recession as housing and business investment dropped following a sales tax hike, hobbling its ability to help drive the global recovery." -- "unexpectedly slipped back into recession"? Only Democrats would think more sales taxes.. any tax hike for that matter, would jump start the economy.
