We had a trial here in Columbus for first degree murder involving a drug deal/armed robbery. The jury seemed "hung" at 8-to-4 for guilt. The DA's office accepted a plea for involuntary manslaughter from the two defendents in exchange for 20 years (probably 3-5 before some lib judge releases them). Really.. what's the difference between Intentional Manslaughter ( First Degree Murder) and Voluntary Manslaughter?

Once again... why aren't our local elections held at the same time as the General election? Higher voter turnouts reflect more of the citizens' concerns, and there's less "lame duck" time for deposed City officials and MCSD board members to influence issues that the voters wanted some one else to vote on.
