What's with the AL DOT's desire to "rape and ravage" the Eufaula Historic District? At least it's not the GA DOT.. remember when Columbus citizens banded together and got the GA DOT plans to "rape and ravage" the 13th Street corridor through Lakebottom scrapped? What the AL DOT wants to do is even worse.. think about it.. the Eufaula Pilgrimage Tour is long weekend in April, and if you get stuck moving 5 MPH through the area, you get a wonderful slow-enough-opportunity to see and smell the roses and azaleas. In addition, during that week, an alternative re-route running parallel and west of Hiway 431 could be implemented. The locals use it and southbound traffic not interested in the glory of the Old South could take it and reconnect with HWY 431 south of the district.

The doctor said on TVN24 television Friday that she was sure the patient was dead after finding “no basic life functions” during a house call on Nov. 6. Prosecutors are investigating whether the patient’s life and health were endangered by the inaccurate death diagnosis.
