Why would the L-E endorse Nunn? Think about it.. The L-E is quick to blame "gridlock" on Republicans, yet when it appears that the Republicans have a very good chance to gain the majority , the L-E thinks electing a Democrat would be good.
---
Curiosity has tweaked my interest in the Kansas Senate race..I have difficulty in seeing how Kansas voters can see any interest in voting for Orman.. He says he's an independent who will teeter on the side of the fence that he finds most beneficial to him. That being the case, he's basically saying he's back to being a Democrat. If Republicans have a 50-49 position, Orman could swing his vote to the highest bidder, but being part of a 51-49 Republican majority won't help him as much as causing a 50-50 split where VP Biden would break a tie.
---
Did you hear former Democrat Tom Harkin trying to belittle Republican candidate Joni Ernst in Iowa? He said she was attractive and nice in a very condescending diatribe. One thing he left out is that she's a combat veteran who can whip his and her opponents (_*_).
---
College students.. if you want an education in government controlled finances and slavery..take out a student loan and vote Democrat.
---
Speaking of opportunity.. America has an opportunity to set things right. Vote Republican today!
---
Oh, and if you have voted and have some spare time.. travel to Congressional Districts 2 & 4 and vote again for the non-incumbents.. GA will never gain national respect as long Hank Johnson and Sanford Bishop are fodder for the media.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " If you are conservative, you should vote Republican. If you are liberal, you should vote Democratic. Neither is evil as radical Sound-Offers would have you believe. Such hatred suggests anger management is in order." -- Good grief.. only libs could equate what's good for the future of our country with voting for a herd of jackasses. Vote for what's good for the future of your children and grandchildren... lower taxes and personal responsibility/accountability.
---
If college students are trying to prove they are adults and no longer need their parents taking care of them, then why do they vote for Democratic nannyism?
---
L-E's "Thought for Today, “There is no dignity quite so impressive, and no independence quite so important, as living within your means.” - President Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933)." -- Obviously a message completely lost on Democrats.

You know, the solution to costs AND logistics of the expense of school busing is to either get rid of convenience busing, or make it an extra cost option. The MCSD has over 500 buses according to a board member, enough, basically, to carry every child in public school at the same time.

---
You know, the MCSD is sitting on a gold mine.. In recent years, the property at Whitesville/Whittlesey auctioned for $14 Million; Jay Automotive sold 24+ acres of property for $1,000,000 PER acre; The Adams family has cleared its lots of existing buildings on Veterans (2 blocks from Columbus Park Crossing) anticipating the property is wirth a lot more. The MCSD owns 44+ acres where the buses are maintained on Whitesville Road between Veterans Parkway and Bradley Park Drive. I wouldn't be surprised that the MCSD could get $50-$60 MILLION from selling it, and moving the bus maintenance over to Brown Avenue where it already owns the property.

Saw a picture with the following sign wordage: "Raise the Minimum Wage! - AFL-CIO" First.. the unions are not working at minimum wage, but more importantly, the unions have a vested interest in the minimum wage. The union interests are based on the clause they have that all wages are tied to the minimum wage, and if minimum wage does go up, all union hourly wages will be adjusted up as well.

L-E commentary : "Verizon users might want to start looking for another provider. In an effort to better serve advertisers, Verizon Wireless has been silently modifying its users' web traffic on its network to inject a cookie-like tracker. This tracker, included in an HTTP header called X-UIDH, is sent to every unencrypted website a Verizon customer visits from a mobile device. It allows third-party advertisers and websites to assemble a deep, permanent profile of visitors' web browsing habits without their consent." -- Hmmm.. perhaps a few million Verizon users need to cancel.. ending letter with "can you hear me NOW!"
---
Online story: " A Massachusetts man suspected of raping a 13-year-old girl, then going on a cross-country crime spree after cutting off his court-ordered monitoring device, has been held without bail." -- So much for the indiscriminate use.. uh, misuse, of what seems like a solution to jail overcrowding.
---
Online story: "As early as May, the Obama administration had strong and specific information about the location of American James Foley and other hostages held in Syria, a source close to the discussions told Fox News, but the rescue mission was not approved until early July." -- What is it with Democrats and opportunity? Carter had the opportunity to get back the Irani hostages but didn't act timely; Clinton had the opportunity to timely take out bin Laden years before 9-11-01, Obamageddon and Hillewinsky had the opportunity to timely get Ambassador Stevens out of Benghazi and/or get American troops in to defend the Embassy, and now we hear Obamageddon and Kerry had an opportunity to get Foley long before he was brutally decapitated on video..
---
L-E headline: "New Columbus Urban League CEO resigns" -- Hmmm, something appears to be missing in this story... like any semblance of "the truth"....
---
For the naysayers..there are but two undefeated Division 1 football teams, and only one of them plays in the SEC West. Hail State!
---
Didn't hear it first hand, but it's still funny. During a debate, a woman reporter called out Colorado Incumbent Senator Mark Udall on his over reliance on women's issues..she referred to him as Mark Uterus.
---
Have you seen the TV ad offer for the "Best of Bob Seeger" plus a new one for $14.95 plus shipping & handling? Now the important question....when was the last time you saw CDs advertised on TV? When was the last time your grandchildren asked what your Sony Walkman CD player was?
---
L-E commentary headline: "Why SOA Watch still matters" -- Good grief! The SOA monicker went out last Century.. in fact, it's not a protest group keeping this anarchistic activity alive.. it's the Columbus L-E.. why?
---
L-E headline/story: "RoboCourier delivers at Midtown Medical Center" -- "The $38,000 robot was purchased entirely through donations to the Columbus Regional Health Foundation." -- Hmmm, for less than the cost of a college diploma, another job.. actually 3 shifts of the same job.. has been eliminated while people were out protesting for a higher minimum wage.
