Online headline: " Chicago Marathon champion fails doping test" -- Ooooops, my bad.. just figured she breathed in too deeply, too often running on the streets of Chicago.
---
Online headline: "Hawaii residents arrested for ogling hot lava" -- "ogling hot lava"?Can you imagine the penalty for sneaking a peek at a gun?
---
Tidbit: "According to CNN, a USGS geologist said the lava flow from Kilauea could continue for 30 years." -- Hmmm...a slow moving mass that consumes everything in its path, and passes little but gas..sounds a lot like government.
---
I researched Congressperson who have "30 or more continuous years of passing gas". The person with the longest time served was Democrat John Dingle, Jr of Michigan with 58+ years.. On top of that, he assumed office following the death of his dad, Democrat John Dingle, Sr who served 22+ years. Between them, we were "dingled" by Michigan Democrats for over 80+ years.
---
Another interesting tidbit found while researching "30 or more continuous years of passing gas": Between 1931 and 1995, only one Republican served as "Speaker of the House" (title of leader of the majority party in House) .. Joseph William Martin, Jr of Massachusetts, and that was for two years (1951-1953 when Ike was first elected). Martin served almost 42 years but ranks only 32 in amount of time served.. the Top 10 in years of being in Congress are all Democrats. Any wonder why our country is doing a shift left?

Online story: "The Bank of Japan is going for broke and expanding its already aggressive stimulus plan in an effort to keep the country's economic revival plan on track. * The actions are meant to boost Abenomics, an ambitious plan for economic reforms championed by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. * The idea is that further easing, combined with government spending and structural reforms, will stave off deflation, leading to more robust growth for the world's third-largest economy. * While Abenomics has put an end to 15 years of falling prices, critics say it has failed to lift wages, bring more women into the workforce or boost exports. * One major problem is that the "virtuous cycle" promised by Abenomics supporters has been slow to materialize. * The thinking was that an increase in sales would boost corporate profits and lead to higher pay for workers, who would put more disposable income toward spending. * Much of the economy's recent poor performance was attributed to a recent sales tax increase. Consumers rushed to make big purchases in the first quarter before the tax kicked in, but many closed their wallets after it took effect" -- "the economy's recent poor performance was attributed to a recent sales tax increase."? When will government realize you cannot jumpstart an economy by raising taxes? It doesn't matter whether it's a new sales tax (or another SPLOST), or TAD property tax increase scam, all taxes take cash out of circulation. Of course, circulation of cash is the spur to economic growth.

Looks like the state of Maine has gotten religion since the Ebola nurse has arrogantly violated the quarantine. Guess Maine officials aren't quite as liberal when reality lands in their backyard.
---
I'm curious..that Ebola nurse in Maine..a court order spells out that she must not get with in 3' from people when she goes out in public..how close can she be when she sneezes?
---
Online headline: "Judge refuses to keep nurse in quarantine * Suspected Ebola patient Kaci Hickox is free to travel as she pleases after a court rejected Maine's bid to quarantine her." -- Once again.. an activist judge overrules good common sense and .....common courtesy.
---
Online story: "During his turn at the lectern at a "get-out-the-vote-rally, Representative Jerrold Nadler of New York accidentally referred to Mr. Cuomo as “Mario” — the governor’s father, former Gov. Mario M. Cuomo — before catching himself. A few minutes later, Scott M. Stringer, the city comptroller, did it too: “We must re-elect Gov. Mario Cuomo." -- Hmmm.. Chicago may have the dead voting, but in New York, it looks the dead can get elected.
---
Online headline: "Mountain bridge isn't for the faint of heart * Peak Walk is the first suspension bridge to connect two mountain tops ... and it is only 31 inches wide and 9,800 feet above ground" -- Fortunately it's in Switzerland.. if it was in the US, the A.D.A. act would shut it down until it could accommodate wheel chairs.
---
I don't understand the Kansas voters for candidate Greg Orman who is running as an "Independent" but says he will decide which party he will caucus with/support after the election.. You know he's a Democrat because he's running on a "you have to elect me before you can see what's in me" Pelosi-styled campaign, and that's what brought OObamaCRAP into our lives.
---
Online quote source: "“With integrity, you have nothing to fear, since you have nothing to hide. With integrity, you will do the right thing, so you will have no guilt.” - Zig Ziglar " -- Hmmm.. obviously not the motto of the White House Press Release team...
---
Went to Hawkinsville last night.. saw Chevron Rgeular gas at $2.649.. even saw an off brand "membership/fleet" price of $2.589. We do not have enough competition in gasoline facilities here in Columbus.
---
L-E story: "The Columbus and Hardaway high school mascots fought at halftime and the students in those costumes were ejected from Thursday night's football game at Kinnett Stadium. * "The Hardaway mascot reportedly walked over to the Columbus High sideline. He was reportedly tackled by the Columbus High mascot. The Hardaway mascot reportedly fell to the ground and responded by slamming the Columbus High mascot on the track before the two were separated." * Columbus High won the game, 34-17." -- Hmmm.. new bumpersticker opportunities: 1 - "My mascot can whip your mascot", or " CHS > HHS in math.. look at the score"
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "I wish David Perdue would be asked if he would vote for another government shutdown. Then ask the folks on Fort Benning how that worked for them." -- Huh? David Perdue has not been a Congressman .. but the question to ask is, "How has working for Obamageddon worked for them?
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "TADs increase the number of taxpayers, not the amount taxpayers pay. This means more city revenue at no extra cost to you. For city retirees, voting against TADs is like shooting yourself in the foot." -- You know.. how do we educate voters who believe this? The Redevelopment (that should be a clue) Referendum does not create new taxable properties, therefore the TAD does not increase the number of taxpayers.
---
Good grief...3 time Senator Mary Landrieu says it's tough to get votes in the South if you're black or a woman. You know, Obamageddon's disapproval numbers are just as bad "up North", and she's a thrice elected woman.. and the Governor of her state has an Indian ancestry. What she didn't say was that she voted for OObamaCRAP.
---
Online story: "As we all know, First Lady Michelle Obama has been pushing her dietary agenda * Now, it appears that she is going too far once again—targeting the children of Veterans Affair (VA) employees this Halloween. * According to reports, the Philadelphia VA asked that candy be banned from its Halloween parade for the children of VA this year" -- You know.. when I was growing up.. a bad politician wqas often described as someone who would "take candy from a baby". Guess that's even more true today.
---
Don't believe any Democrat candidate that denies having voted for Obamageddon in 2012.. If they hadn't , Romney would have won.
---
Thursday night, Obamageddon told his Oregon base that businesses have created 10,000,000 jobs in the last few years. What he didn't say was that businesses ended 5,000,000 full time jobs and replaced then with 10,000,000 part-time jobs.
---
Campaigning in Oregon Thursday night..campaigning in Rhode Island Friday at lunch time. When does Obamageddon have time to take care of the needs of our country's future?
---
If it wasn't painful, it would be hysterical..I'm against "junk bonds" being associated with our city. It seems the "Revitalize Columbus Communities" anonymous spokesperson is excited about dumping Columbus , GA associated bonds into the "junk bond" market. You know, I guess that's what the crowd sitting on ready to benefit personally thinks about the future of our city. What they are not thinking about is the FUTURE of our city and how it will affect our grandchildren.
---
Clinton was right then, and is now..."It's the economy, stupid".
---
It looks like Republican Tom Cotton has a definite polling edge over incumbent Senator Pryor in Arkansas. Rumor has it that the last minute Pryor ads are based on the Republicans want voters to pick Cotton.
---
This is a true website: http://partner.allblacks.com/ ...makes the NAACP and Al Sharpton's demands for forced diversity pretty weak.. Can you imagine http://partner.allwhites.com/ if there was such?
---
Hmmm. 50,000 missing registrations according to New Georgia Project.....more like 50,000 rejected forms for fraud. Either way, how many trees gave their lives for Rep St(_*_)cey (_* _)bram's ethics violation?
---
FSU really abdicated any claim to a follow up position in this years NCAA Championship game. It had a hard time beating Louisville in spite of the Louisville players being dressed in uniforms that were too embarrassing to be seen in public, much less National TV.
---
L-E story: "District Attorney Julia Slater unveiled a plan to a group of community activists Friday that could relieve overcrowding at the Muscogee County Jail." -- "group of community activists"? Well, more like self-serving community activists...Was there anyone there representing "victims' rights" or "Neighborhood Watch" groups?
---
Why is there so much to-do about "early voting:? It certainly isn't cost effective when (locally) we have 3 sites open for 22 days and 1 site open on 2 Saturdays That's basically 68 polling site opportunities before Election Day. Wouldn't the voters be better served, and the citizens be better protected from fraud, and at lower costs, if those 68 site days were just added on as more Election day polling sites?

L-E Commentary column about Mark Cuban: "Mark Cuban made waves with his comments about student debt and capping loans. He’s a great NBA owner of the Dallas Mavericks, but does he have a good idea for solving the college loan problem? * As reported by CNBC, Mark Cuban blames student loans for dragging down the economy. That’s “the same money that, when you graduated, you used to move out of the house or you went out and spent money that improved the economy and helped companies grow,” Cuban said. He claimed that the college would likely use the money to “build a better fitness center at your school.” * A trillion dollars in student loan debt might sound like a lot. Then again, it equals what Americans spend on holiday gifts and decorations for Christmas, Halloween, Mother’s Day, and back-to-school shopping, according to the National Retail Federation" -- "a trillion dollars in student loan debt might sound like a lot."? Good grief.. it wasn't too long ago when Democrat Senate Minority leader Everett Dirksen said "a billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking serious money" Well the student loan debt is 1,000 Billion dollars, and that IS serious money.. even in today's value. Cuban is spot on.... there doesn't seem to be any value added to our economy.. neither looking back or forward. Perhaps the government needs to get out of the student loan business for non-professional license careers, and colleges themselves distribute donated scholarship money to promising students. As a bonus, it would also lower educational costs.

Random thought: I cannot imagine any legal assets being in any one BTW apartment that would seem to have enough "fencing" value to get 5 people excited about robbing said apartment.
