Online headline/story: "ISIS may have gotten a hold of chemical weapon * Islamic State could have obtained the mustard agent in Syria, whose government admitted to having large quantities of the blistering agent in 2013"-- Hmmm... didn't Obamageddon draw a "line in the sand" when ASSwad used it.. didn't Obamageddon  erase the line when ASSwad crossed it?

Online headline: "'Godzilla El NiƱo' may be coming to California, latest forecast suggests; could bring 'extreme rainfall'" -- Wish California would make up it's mind.. it is either complaining about the weather  or complaining about "the whether"..

---
Online headline: "A U.S. study released on Thursday revealed China's poor air quality is responsible for killing thousands of people in the country every day" -- Good grief... why are we paying taxes for a study in China?

---
From the "How to start a rumor" department - Online headline: "Hillary Clinton email scandal spreads to aides" -- Hillewinsky has aides?

---
Instant replay - Online headline/story: "Hillary Clinton email scandal spreads to aides"  * Two aides to former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton have agreed not to delete any work-related emails or documents following an order from a federal judge that they preserve the records, according to their lawyers." -- Mainscream media is desperate... it seems thrilled that Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills are promising to help investigate Hillewinsky.. yeah.. right.. like neither has a problem lying?

---
Online story: "Decades after Nan Britton was shamed for speaking out about her alleged affair with former US President Warren G. Harding, DNA testing has seemingly proven that she was telling the truth, The New York Times reports. * Relatives of Harding and Britton submitted DNA to AncestryDNA, a division of Ancestry.com, and the results proved that Britton's daughter, Elizabeth Ann Blaesing, was Harding's love child. *She claimed the affair lasted more than six years and that the two met in various places, including Harding's office in the Senate and a closet in the West Wing." -- Wow.. Bill Clinton has been shot down again...he reeled when mainscream media stopped referring to him as "the first black president:", and now he's  been shot down as "the first White House Louse".

---
Online headline: "Next Obama visit to be another presidential first" -- Hmmm.. I think most American are more interested in Obamageddon being a presidential "last"... as in the last Democrat president.

---
Online headline/story: "US Border Patrol advertisements discourage people from entering the US illegally *
The U.S. government is running ads on television and radio in an attempt to dissuade people from crossing the border illegally." -- Good grief... wouldn't a "blanket text" reach them better on their cellphones as they start crossing the border rather than waiting until they have crossed over, and gotten a radio or TV... and a job or committed another crime?

HuffPOOPOO headline: "War in space isn't considered fantasy anymore" -- Well, well, well... Reagan was RIGHT!

Instant replay - HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "War in space isn't considered fantasy anymore * How Obama plans to prepare for it * President Obama requested $5 billion for space defense in the 2016 fiscal budget." -- Requesting it for a budget item for a budget that doesn't even go into effect until 4 months before we elect a new president to follow him is not a "plan to prepare for it"... that's just one last kick of the can.

There's a new survey out listing the Top 10 states with the most drunk drivers.. Number one is Hawaii.. guess they are more prone to dizziness driving around in circles trying to find a road to the next island.

Had a really depressing venture at Best Buy yesterday. I bought a MacBook on August 1st as a break away from 30 years of using the Dos/Windows interface. I downloaded the AOL app because using AOL via Safari (same with IE in Windows) is not easy when you are multi-tasking between "favorites" as I am accustomed. The app would open, the just close suddenly after a couple of minutes with an error message and an opportunity to send the issue to Apple. It had been 12 days and nothing came back (a fix/patch nor "we're working on it"), so I took it in to the Best Buy Geeks. Some 20 year old whippersnapper played with and said I had the new Apple OS, and it has a compatibility prob with AOL FOR Macs app. Then he added that I shouldn't have downloaded the app but used the generic site through Safari. Told him I've been using the AOL homepage for 25 years and while I can learn new tricks, that's not a negotiable one. I asked him if he, as a Best Buy rep, could put pressure on Apple to make a patch, and he just smirked. Well, my Apple is back at Best Buy. I even went by Graphicom to see if they could fix it..no dice..so I went and bought comfort again.

When I left Best Buy yesterday, it was for the last time..I  guesstimated how much I had spent at Best Buy since they opened and round figures for numerous desk and laptop systems for home and travel and daughters , plus TVs, sound systems, cable/router systems, appliances etc, and I was in the high 5-figure level. No more...apathy does not get me back in the door.

L-E story: "Prosecutors say a Marietta man will spend life in prison after he pleaded guilty of killing his longtime lover. * Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds said 59-year-old Frank Davis Bowles of Marietta admitted to shooting 60-year-old Samuel Collins multiple times in 2004. Reynolds said the couple had argued about how dinner had been cooked." -- This should be prosecuted as a "hate crime"...divorce was an option now.

From the "pipe dreams and other fairy tales Disney couldn't make into a credible movie" department -  L-E story: "The city of Columbus will enter into a “master agreement” with PATH Foundation Inc. in a step toward expanding the existing network of bicycle and pedestrian trails. * Columbus Council voted unanimously Tuesday to enter into the agreement. *  The plan calls for building 27.5 miles of trails in 12 “links” that would first connect the Chattahoochee RiverWalk and the Fall Line Trace, the two existing such trails, and then interconnect trails in other parts of the city, such as the new Follow Me Trail and a proposed trail along the length of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The foundation hopes to complete the projects in five years. * The city will not be obligated to fund any of the project, but it will facilitate the work and lend certain employees to it. * Councilor Judy Thomas said she would support the city entering into the agreement, but only if she could be assured that it did not commit the city to spending any money. * Councilor Glenn Davis said he enthusiastically supports the initiative and said one possible source for funding would be the discretionary funding that will be produced over the next 10 years by the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. * City Manager Isaiah Hugley assured Thomas that no city funds could be used on the project without council’s future approval. * Hugley said that because most of the paths will be built along existing city right of way, which the city already pays to keep mowed, the paths will reduce the amount of right of way the city has to mow, thus reducing maintenance costs." --

Good grief! Where to start..or maybe it's that there's no end to the lack of common sense in the City... 1 - Councilor Thomas says she wouldn't vote for it if any City money has to be used.. but it will... and she's already voted for it.
2 - Councilor Davis has already envisioned spending our share of T-SPLOST revenues even though those are already
spent"
3- City Manager Hugley says we'll save maintence costs on the right of ways, BUT everyone knows that it's cheaper to run a gang-mower across and open area than it is to use hand handled regular mowers to landscape smaller spaces as not to damage the pathways,
4 - a lot.. if not most of the "pathways" would basically put bicycles on pedestrian only sidewalks
5 - raising private funds for this takes away from other more needed projects that the donors-to-be would normally give to, and 5 - have you been down MLK Blvd lately.. would consider wanting want to run or ride your bike through a b;lighted area of closed business and unkempt private and [/public properties?

L-E "headlie": "HEALTH LAW SIGN-UPS CONTINUE GROWING; UNINSURED RATE DECLINES" -- Excuse me, but what is the difference between a previously uninsured indigent person subsidized by tax dollars and a person who insurance is mostly subsidized by tax dollars?

L-E story: " A suburban Denver baker who would not make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple cannot cite his Christian beliefs in refusing them service because it would lead to discrimination, the Colorado Court of Appeals ruled Thursday." -- "cannot cite his Christian beliefs in refusing them service because it would lead to discrimination"? Wait a minute.. where is this court on Obamageddon and the court system in general who are voiding the Constitutional guarantees for religious freedoms?
