From the "and you should be too" department - Online headline: "Michael Cohen says he's worried about what's next after the FBI raided his home and office" -- Yes, you should be worried too! Liberalism has been thwarted.. so far .. on undermining our 2nd Amendment, and now is going after circumventing the 4th AND 5th Amendments our forefathers deemed essential to guarantee each of us protection from personal persecution by any arm of our government.. It's bad enough that the IRS can usurp these protections without due process, but now, the FBI.. America's personal security system for us all, has defiled citizen/lawyer privacy in a gestapo way.
---
I was raised to respect our government... especially the FBI.. but I'm slowly losing the absolute trust I use to have... then infiltration of political bias has made be become skeptical ... skeptical to the point that I now think "F.B. Lie" or "F.I.B." when I hear the names of Comey, McCabe, Strzok or Mueller.
---
You know, I prefer my enemies to be "foreign" versus "domestic".. Domestic enemies lie to and cheat American citizens to get in position to cause us future harm.. At this moment, I fear Obama's political operation more than Kim Jong Ooops or Putin..

I've successfully finished my jury service to the Columbus community this week. Our panel was dismissed yesterday as the defense team accepted a plea bargain settlement with our DA's office. I do believe it was because the selected group was composed of Columbus citizens who were concerned enough for our community to take the responsibility to support the laws and law enforcement personnel. I tell you what.. while there are legitimate hardship situations that necessitate potential jurors to ask "off" jury duty at any given time period, I was aghast at the sheer number on Monday that jumped up at the Jury Manager's announcement for such requests be given. Folks.. if we citizens do not contribute our time proudly when the opportunity arises, then we cannot blame our legal system for criminals who seemingly "beat the system".
---
We had a good jury... and I want to thank them for being willing to step forward and supporting the safety issues of our community.. we were diverse and focused..and after spending about 45 minutes in the Juror's Deliberation Room with my fellow jurors before being called into the courtroom today, it was obvious the defense wasn't going to get unwarranted sympathy, and one of the deputies came in and told us the defendant had accepted a plea deal.. don't know what it was, but I'm sure it was just... for the defendant and our community.

Online headline/story: "Ted Cruz presses Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook’s alleged political censorship * Republican Senator Ted Cruz asked some tough questions about what he called concerns that the social network has censored conservative accounts and ideas. * Zuckerberg insists that Facebook is a “platform for all ideas.” * But Cruz asked about a 2016 Gizmodo report that said that Facebook barred Trump supporters Diamond and Silk after their content had been deemed “unsafe for the community,” as well as shutting down other conservative and religious pages. * Zuckerberg said that concerns about political bias may be due to the fact that the company is located in liberal Silicon Valley, and that they are “fair” concerns." -- Mark 6uckerberg said FB is a “platform for all ideas.”, then flip-flopped to say, "concerns about political bias may be due to the fact that the company is located in liberal Silicon Valley, and that they are “fair” concerns.".. Obvious, Facebook employee decisions reflect on 6uckerberg's own lack of leadership..
I can attest to FB initiated "shutdowns", and without knowledge of the system of appeals, could easily be permanently "blocked" from access..

Online headline/story: "Court hears how Morgan Freeman's granddaughter was brutally stabbed to death * A witness to the fatal stabbing of E’Dena Hines outside the couple’s W. 162nd St. building described the horrific scene as the accused killer, Lamar Davenport, frantically knifed his partner 25 times in the chest, back and arm on Aug. 16, 2015. * Davenport, 33, is charged with second-degree murder and faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison if he’s convicted. His attorneys are putting up an insanity defense on the grounds that he was driven to kill by a PCP-induced psychosis." -- "insanity" because he was "driven to kill by PCP-induced psychosis"? Let's take a step back.. what "induced" him to ingest PCP? His personal desire is my answer.
You know, I hope every case of a police officer who has been persecuted for the handling of a PCP influenced criminal be re-opened based on this killer's "defense". the killer's lawyers have just justified the way the police handled Rodney King out California in 1991..

Online story: "President Donald Trump lifted a U.S. travel ban on citizens from Chad on Tuesday after a six-month U.S. government review found improvements in the African country's security standards, the White House said. * Trump's critics have said his travel ban unfairly singled out Muslims, and violated U.S. law and the Constitution." -- There goes the libs argument about singling out Muslim countries... I certainly do not believe Chad has converted to Christianity.. It also exposes the liberal's arguments that Trump violated the U.S. law and Constitution... what Trump has done is SUPPORT and ENFORCE the Constitutional Charges that he protect today's America from all enemies.. foreign and domestic... and maybe now he can concentrate on protecting America's future from the same.

Stormy Daniels has proven one thing... that a cheap whore is a cheap whore regardless of her pay day...

From the "only to a liberal or anarchist" department - Online headline/story: "Trump admin's religious liberty guidance a 'license to discriminate,' report says * In May 2017, Air Force Col. Leland Bohannon declined to sign a "certificate of spouse appreciation" for a retiring airman's same-sex spouse. Following Bohannon's refusal, the airman filed a formal complaint against Bohannon, alleging he unlawfully discriminated against the man due to his sexual orientation. The Air Force concluded in August that the allegations were substantiated, and Bohannon was passed over for promotion as a result. * Earlier this month, however, Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson reversed the previous decision to punish Bohannon, a devout Christian, stating in a letter that he "had the right to exercise his sincerely held religious beliefs and did not unlawfully discriminate when he declined to sign the certificate." -- You know.. the Air Force officer was exercising his 1st Amendment Rights that were wrongfully taken away by the Obama Administration policy.. and now those rights guaranteed by the 1st Amendment are being restored..America IS becoming Great Again.

Online story: " Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg got into an awkward exchange with a top Democratic senator on Tuesday when the lawmaker began probing him about his own personal privacy. * During the blockbuster hearing on Capitol Hill, Sen. Dick Durbin asked Zuckerberg, "Would you be comfortable sharing with us the name of the hotel you stayed in last night? * "Um," Zuckerberg said before a long pause. "No." " -- That was "no awkward pause.. that was just the silence 6uckerberg took to rethink his support for liberal politicians.

From the "Garrett Morris.. "base-ball's been velly velly good to me" department - Online headline/story: "Marlins claim British Virgin Islands citizenship to avoid going to court in Miami * The Marlins aren’t doing this to change their name to the British Virgin Island Marlins. This is all in response to a profit-sharing lawsuit that was filed earlier this year by Miami-Dade County. As part of a 2009 agreement, the Jeffrey Loria-owned Marlins agreed that if the team was sold within 10 years, the county would get 5% of the profits from that sale. The team, which was bought by Loria for $152 million, was sold in 2017 to the Jeter/Sherman majority group for $1.2 billion. However, Loria claimed that he somehow lost $140 million from the sale, so neither he nor the Marlins owed the county any profits. The county obviously sued since that’s insane, and both Loria and the Marlins (which includes their current ownership) are named in the suit." -- The government of Dade County IS as dumb as we think most government entities are. Dade County should have had a representative with a court order for retention of the 5% of the margin between Loria's purchase and selling prices, and made Loria have to go to court to dispute the amount.

I've waited a month before commenting, but in March, I finally traded in my wonderful 2001 Yukon XL.. Have been wanting to get a LARGE sedan, but gave up even after trying out a Caddy CT6.. I bought a VW Atlas...and have been well pleased.. it's smaller externally than my Yuke, but VW's mastery of interior design has created as much.. or more.. 1st and 2nd Row passenger space, and very easy to access 3rd Row seating..it's German engineering and still runs on regular gas. It's funny... whenever I've bought a new or different car in the past, I've always started noticing many more of them while driving..this time, I haven't seen another in Columbus nor when traveling to the beach or Atlanta. I know this will change as it has been a most satisfactory purchase.

From "the list" department - Online headline: "The 10 best airlines in the world, according to travelers" -- Excuse me.. why would any airline be proud of making "a list" that showed them worse than other airlines in an atmosphere of horrific airline horror stories? By the way.. Southwest Air was the only America based airline even to make the Top 10..hmmm... and he only one that should have been considered for "the best".
---
Online headline/story: "Sinclair commentator resigns over tweet threatening to assault Parkland teen * Conservative commentator Jamie Allman, who hosted a nightly news show on local ABC affiliate KDNL in St. Louis and a FM morning radio show on 97.1, resigned on Monday after advertisers began dropping out from his station following his March 26 tweet" -- Good grief.. all advertisers who drop out supporting the 1st Amendment Rights of anyone should be scrutinized closely as to whether they should be supported at all. Publish their names!

Our mainscream media may be America's worst enemy.. even though Trump stands up to Syria' ASSwad, and Russia's Putin in contrast to Obama's apology approach, mainscream media blames Russia for Hellary's loss. Hellary lost on her own actions and reactions, and America CHOSE Trump... thank God for this. I know I did not want my daughters to think of Hellary as a role model to base their womanhood on.

Went to the mayoral candidates "speed dating" event put on by the Muscogee County Republican Party...nice event but some tweakin' to keep the noise levels down is something to work on for future events is needed. Skip Henderson and Zeph Baker shined best as they are more polished speakers.. I had one question I wanted to ask Skip, but the "speed dating" format kicked on and he moved on. Skip mentioned some good points and ideas, but I wanted to ask him why he didn't bring them up.. or better yet why didn't he initiate some of the during the past 21 years he's been on Council. The best idea I heard all night came from Zeph Baker... and that was to work towards creating a second campus for Columbus Tech on Victory Drive.

Charles Roberts lost any further consideration from me.. I was shown this article he posted on his website:
https://www.thepeopleformayor.com/about-us/platform/carlton-gary-is-innocent-heres-why/
Carlton Gary was not not innocent, and anyone who lived through the terror he wreaked on Columbus knows this.

Having been called down to the Government Center to perform a civic and public duty, I was exposed to two different "wastes" currently going on.. I mentioned the broken parking lot gate that has reduced operating revenues, but probably the worst offense is the huge mobile generator "permanently" parked on the 1st Avenue side of the Government Center.. first, Keep Columbus Beautiful" and the "Historic District of Columbus" should be outraged at the sheer ugliness of the contraption, but I'm concerned at the overall expenses.. That generator has been there a long time and it's a "rental".. I wonder how many times citizen tax dollars have PAID for that equipment over and way beyond what it would have cost to purchase it..and.. I haven't seen any Council recommendations to look into purchasing it for the future..

A month ago.I posted a picture of a pothole in my neighborhood.. sadly, it's not been attended to...here's the same pothole I took another picture of yesterday.. It's not only "grown",it's over 27" inches in length now.

Hmmm.... Billionaire Victor Pinchuk of Ukraine allegedly gave $150,000.00 to Trump's campaign, and is now part of the Mueller investigation...Victor Pinchuk is KNOWN to have given $25,000,000.00 to the Clinton Foundation when Hellary was Secretary of State... even dined at the Clinton home, yet Mueller has not investigated him or the Clintons.
---
I'm horrified... I received a FB "invite" from Councilor Pop Barnes to support a Stacey Abrams FB page.. Pop and I go back a long way.. we both loved , admired, and supported the late Sgt (Ret) Lonnie Jackson. We talked extensively at Lonnie's funeral in 2004 about Lonnie Jackson's efforts to make Southeast Columbus thrive.. Pop did not know of the support I had for Lonnie's "Summer Tutorial Program" at Eastway Elementary (now Lonnie Jackson Academy) for more than a decade. How can Pop Barnes support the efforts of Lonnie Jackson then, and now support Stacey Abrams who's number one purpose seems to be to destroy the integrity of the GA Voting System.

I heard many comments about the "spending" practices (wastes) of Council in the past 8 years that have reduced our "Fund Balance" (a.k.a. the City's savings account) to a dangerous level. Current politicians try to defend their "wasteful expenditures", but it's not defendable when it was spent on whimsical/new projects while our Government Building deteriorated. Our Mayor and Council must focus on our City's NEEDS before Mayor/Council WANTS.

From the "it's OK, she's a DIMocrat" department - Online headline/story: "Atlanta Mayor Bottoms asks top officials to submit resignations * Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms is cleaning house. * Bottoms has asked for the resignation of all cabinet members, "and after further assessment will determine which resignations I will accept," she said in a statement Monday evening. She has scheduled a press conference for Tuesday afternoon where she will "make a major announcement on transparency in Atlanta’s government." * “Consistent with what I said upon taking office in January, I have taken the first 100 days to evaluate the leadership of my Administration" -- You know, Trump was vilified for even thinking about firing Obama appointees when he took office, but now we have a DIMocrat doing the same and it's "OK" with mainscream media.. You know.. it just shows how much Trump NEEDED to clean out the DIMocrat personnel leftover when an incoming DIMocrat feels she must get rid of leftover DIMocrat appointees.

Speaking of " cleaning house.. have any of the Columbus Mayor/Council candidates mentioned their opinion of carry-over department heads?

There is a lot of political chatter about removing academic achievement as the criteria for issuing the Lottery funded Hope Scholarships in GA. One group is wanting to change it to a "financial needs" basis versus "academic excellence".. if this happens, the lottery will need to be re-offered in a referendum as to whether it should continue.
---
I was amazed at none of our Mayoral candidates understand that it's the excess number of 1% taxes our citizens pay on sales that have derailed our local economy..we currently have 4 (2 LOSTs, 1 E-SPLOST, and 1 T-SPLOST) such excessive taxes added on to the State Sales taxes, and
there's talk of adding another one to rebuild out government center in the near future.. You know, these 1% taxes add up.. it's not about "a penny", it's about 7-cents of our disposable income going for out-of-control government spendings... well..waste is more like it.. funding WANTS over NEEDS. We've already been devastated by the number of major retailers that have closed shop here... but loss of shopping options isn't the only loss the community eels.. those major retailers were a tax revenue source much needed for the future..and we've lost the jobs as well. Let's really look at any more proposals closely.. we'll see that every SPLOST is a potential "albatross" around our necks.. The 2 LOST taxes raise about $70,000,000.00 a year for local government use, and that's enough to add to our property tax burden, and they let out-of-towners participate in supporting the city they choose to work/shop in.
---
One way to allow the taxpayers to be in truly control of future SPLOST taxes is for all of our Councilors advocate to of Legislators change all local election dates back to the November General Election date.
---
L-E headline: "MONTRAVIOUS THOMAS CASE * CPD says probe closed and no crime committed" --
You know.. technically..this may be true.. information of what went on has been sparse and conflicting throughout the reporting stages.. this is for courts to evaluate.. Thankfully... seemingly.. Columbus taxpayers have been released from responsibility, and those involved are being scrutinized personally as to their own accountability. Regardless of whether a "Criminal" act was involved, there do appear to be acts of inhumanity ... and these should be accounted for.
---
From the "what a difference it makes when we're in "election" season" department - L-E headline/story: "COLUMBUS COUNCIL *Proposed Horace King bridge gets deleted from Mott’s Green project * Councilors voted to move forward with environmental and architectural studies for the Mott’s Green renovation project without the closed bridge that was supposed to extend into the Chattahoochee River." -- Hmm.. maybe we need to have ANNUAL elections for ALL Councilors.. I imagine all wasteful wants will be dismissed and tax dollars will actually be spent on the Community's NEEDS.

Hey, let's talk about what the costs of the River Road "roundabout" are.. seems no Councilors want to discuss it until after the elections.. I wonder why... and I'll bet the last estimate of $2.7 MILLION "ain't even close"..
---
L-E headline: "COLUMBUS COUNCIL * 2 pools to stay closed due to leaks" -- Well, if the City would close the Natatorium for the "leak" it has that drains the budget, there'd probably be enough money to fix the outdoor pools most people enjoy.
---
L-E headline: "Leader of China urges dialogue on trade" -- heh heh heh.. Xi Ping just realized he threw himself under his own bus when he retaliated naming American products he would raise tariffs on.. Trump led with tariffs that would promote America regaining its ability to be self-sufficient and generate more jobs here.. Xi Ping started with tariffs on "wants" which American producers import there.. so, in effect, Chinese consumers would just be paying higher costs for indulgences of California wines et al.
---
L-E commentary headlie: "Have you ever seen the moon? * BY LEONARD PITTS JR. * Miami Herald" -- Good grief.. C'mon, Pitts, we've heard all your "pull my fingers jokes" before...

I still cannot get over that the Hawaii Legislator and Governor signed off on a bill allowing doctors assisting in suicide deaths. Hawaii doesn't even allow assisted death to heinous criminals.
