I'm am proud to post the following.. remember the "pothole" I've been showing in the street near my home? Well, I'm pleased to announce it has been repaired! Special thanks to Post 10 Councilor-at-Large candidate Tollie Strode for his concerns about the condition of our streets. Out of all the candidates running (and those between re-election cycle as well) for all the Council seats next month, he has been the only one who has been active for all Columbus voters in getting much needed street improvements in action.

Surely, cellphones hidden on a prison visitors body would be detected by body scan..

I'm eligible by age to get exclusions, but my love of community drives my desire to serve when called..

Speaking of GA DOT debacles.. why is it it that Council won't.. not can't... release cost estimates on the River Road roundabout.. design started in 2012, was suppose to start in the summer of 2014, was redesigned and presented in 2016, yet the only word from any incumbent politician running for office is that "we won't know until we put it out for bids".. good grief.. what's being said is that we know it won't be the $2.7 Million stated in Feb of 2016, and if we tell the public how much , none of us existing officials will get elected to ANYTHING.

We are blessed here in Columbus this year.. there are candidates stepping up to the plate for the first time in every office up for election. Please listen to them..they deserve our attention.. they are stepping out of their comfort zones because they feel Columbus needs new ideas and direction.. Columbus currently ranks too low in the educational and economic areas.
