Online headline: "Accused Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz wants inheritance to go to charity, according to lawyer" -- Whatta crock! The lawyer KNOWS that the courts will make sure that families get as much as possible and at the same time, the lawyer knows that the trust will make it impossible for "the lawyer" to get paid by the taxpayers for an indigent client.
---
From the "Number 1 contender for the Dingbat Award" department - Online story: "California Gov. Jerry Brown has agreed to send National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, but not for the reason President Donald Trump has requested. * Brown says he'll deploy about 400 troops. But not all of them will go to the border, and none will be "enforcing federal immigration laws." Instead, they'll join 250 other National Guard troops tasked with combating drug crimes, gun smuggling and human trafficking." -- Good grief...the drug criminals, gun smugglers, and human traffickers ARE illegals, too.
---
How about this...all the anti-2nd Amendment advocates who claim to be Patriots as well should volunteer to replace a National Guardsman and be ready to throw rocks at the illegal aliens who try to force their way into our country.
---
From the "waste of time, effort, and money" department - HuffPOOPOO story: "A Pennsylvania school district is arming its roughly 500 teachers with 16-inch baseball bats in an effort to boost security in the wake of the Parkland school shooting. * Teachers in the Millcreek Township School District received the mini bats after a training day on how to respond to school shootings * The bats, which will be kept locked in each classroom, are mostly “symbolic,” Hall said." -- "mostly symbolic"? How about "TOTALLY symbolic"! Totally symbolic of the waste of time, effort, and TAXPAYERS' money parents feel their children are exposed to daily in most school systems.
I wonder if any teacher actually asked how a mini baseball bat, locked up in their rooms, is thought to be "the solution" for school safety?
---
From the "self-prophecy" department - HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "NYT editorial board unloads on Trump: 'The law is coming' * The New York Times editorial board has issued another searing indictment on President Donald Trump’s character and leadership. * In a blistering piece published Tuesday, the Times’ editorial board taunted the president about Monday’s FBI raid of the office of Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal lawyer, and warned that “the law is coming.”" -- Hmmm.. if any "law is coming" it's the one of "supply and demand", and the NYT will fold under the "lack of demand for its supply of tripe".
Oh.. and in the interest of fairness of politics, will the NYT offer an equal "searing indictment" of the LACK of character and leadership" of the Clintons, and warn them that “the law is coming”?
---
Hmmm...So ABC's Clintonphile, George Stephanopoulos, is going to interview James Comey.. Even if they "see eye-to-eye" on everything, there's no chance they will see anything eye-to-eye..
---
Online headline: "Pope admits to making serious mistakes" - You know.. the only mistakes worth noting are the two the Catholic Church made.. the first was making him the Pope", the second was not replacing him already.
---
You know.. like so many start-up companies, Facebook faces the same reality.. 6uckerberg has no clue how to run it, so he's hired other people to run different segments, and 6uckerberg has no clue that those hirees are fulfilling their own agenda..not a corporate mission.
---
From the "self-condemning" department - Online headline: "Atlanta mayor on mass resignations: 'We needed a fresh look at our leadership'" -- Good grief.. obviously there's no party loyalty between the employees hired by one DIMocrat and the DIMocrat who succeeds one... OK, mainscream media.. time to apologize to Trump for not supporting his effort for TRYING to incorporate Obama carryovers into his plans to Make America Great Again.
---
No comment on Paul Ryan stepping down from the House.. mixed emotions at best.
---
For all local candidates.. incumbents, too, for Columbus Council/Mayoral seats.. tell us what you are going to do with what you have to work with... tell us what you are FOR.. not AGAINST.. Oh, and incumbents, explain why you voted for/against the Tax Freeze, and Casinos, and Bike Trails vs Road Repairs.

Tuesday, my bride and I went to a ceremonial opening of a new Athletic complex recently completed at Brookstone School.. a state-of the art Tennis Complex, a beautiful softball
field, spruced up baseball and soccer facilities... and a state of the art locker room, concession stand, trophy room, and conference room.. all brought in for UNDER $6 Million.. and our MCSD wants to build 40X60 metal buildings for $750,000.00, and spend $7.2 MILLION spiffing up two high school baseball fields that will not have a set.. or consistent.. maintenance plan to warrant the expenditures.
---
You know...one of the MCSD SPLOST projects that raises the biggest "red flag" is those metal-on-slab wrestling/weights/ cheer practice buildings. I really want to know whether District 6 Rep Mark Cantrell was consulted with concerning the costs of such. Cantrell does own a metal building company, and has vast knowledge of actual costs. In fact, with only my knowledge of cost factors, if I owned a metal building company. I'd be bidding on the contract..I think there are at least 6..and possibly 8 such buildings to be built, and with what I think the construction costs ought to be, I think I could bid $700 K (and scale upwards on the 2 or 3 bigger buildings) on the 2,400 sq ft ones, then retire .

Jessica Tarnov, the designated DIMocrat propagandist on Fox's "Outnumbered" Show said there were Trump supporters who would say something without any facts to back it up..... Talk about a pot calling a kettle black.. Tarnov's is powder coated as well.!
---
Online headline: "Alan Dershowitz: Why the FBI raid on Trump's lawyer hurts all of us" -- Yesterday, you heard this same thing from me, but now Dershowitz.. yes the same Alan Dershowitz.. Harvard emeritus professor of law, Clinton confidante is confirming this...
am posting the URL link so you can read it... and hope you do not "weep".

L-E headline: "Columbus in the running for international softball games - but major renovations needed" -- Good grief.. $7,000,000.00 was poured into Golden Park in 1995/96 and what we got was the loss of professional baseball.. at this point, there is no reason to consider pouring anymore money into Golden Park that's softball related. Besides, the representatives from USA Softball are casting their nets out to any city who will spend its citizens money on a facility, and they will partner up with the 1st City to cater to them. Hey, Council.. JUST SAY NO!
In fact.. with elections coming within 5 or so weeks, current Council should not make decisions on future, non-essential issues.
---
From the "bias.. what bias" department - Online headline: "President Signs Executive Order Mandating That Poor People Work or Lose ‘Welfare’" -- "mandating POOR PEOPLE work"? Good grief, President Trump is creating the atmosphere for tremendous job growth, and President Trump wants all people to get back into life and elevate their self-esteem by working than by moping around a household all day.. and I'll bet this article writer, one Angela Helm, feels the Executive Order applies only to blacks..
---
Another from the "bias.. what bias" department - Online headline: "Rosenstein lets Nunes, Gowdy review FBI memo that kick-started Russia probe" -- Rosenstein LETS Nunes, Gowdy "? Good grief.. it was that or face Contempt of Congress charges.. if Rosenstein WANTED to let them see it, he would have produced it voluntarily months ago rather than on the last day of the order.
---
From the "as predicted" department - Online headline/story: "FBI, Dem establishment among McCabe legal fund's donors * The legal fund of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who was fired March 16, attracted donations from a long list of Democratic operatives, mega-donors and the FBI, Fox News has learned. * The donors include an anti-Trump ex-FBI top official who defended James Comey, a congressional hopeful who received money from McCabe’s wife, an associate of former President Barack Obama and several Democratic mega-donors." -- The "GoFundMe" account is pure subterfuge to conceal payoffs for McCabe's cooperation...HEY, IRS! Where are you!
---
L-E headline: "DRAGONFLY TRAIL OPENS" -- Hmmm... You know.. both state and local law prohibit riding bicycle on sidewalks if you're over 12.
---
I actually sympathize with Mark 6uckerberg as he wallows in his Senate Committee "hot seat".. but only in the fact that I see so much personal info openly published for anyone.. EVERYONE .. to see.. Why do people post where they are eating, visiting or vacationing online when they are actually AT those places.. do they not realize they have told the world.. especially the criminal world.. "hey, no one's at my home right now"...
---
From the "ooops, I think I just exposed my bias" department L-E headline: "One year in, Gorsuch proving to be reliably conservative vote * BY JESSICA GRESKO * Associated Press" -- Hmmm so, even the leftist admit that the conservatives are better for America...
---
From the "whatta crock" department - L-E guest commentary headline: "COMMENTARY * The US needs China more than China needs US * BY STEPHEN ROACH * Bloomberg" -- Under the Clinton-Bush- Obama Administrations, the writer had a small point... our tax structure sent American companies to China for tax relief.. now that President Trump has give corporations relief, they can entertain repatriating their companies., and bring those jobs back. Benefits include America taking responsibility for infrastructure and hard goods independence from foreign countries.. and at the same, China .. and the world will need the consumable we produce that they've always relied on. There's even hope that CharBroil could possible restart making its grills back in Columbus.. again.
---
L-E statement: Rodney Mahone, Publisher.... Dimon Kendrick-Holmes, Executive Editor" --
Not sure when his went into effect, but I noticed today that the L-E "editorial committee" seems to be less diverse than it use to be...
