Online headline/story: " Kaepernick collusion claim continues, dismissal denied * Colin Kaepernick's collusion claim against the NFL will continue after system arbitrator Stephen B. Burbank denied the league's request to dismiss the case. * Kaepernick's attorney, Mark Geragos, posted a statement from Burbank on Twitter Thursday, reading in full: "On August 28, 2018, the System Arbitrator denied the NFL's request that he dismiss Colin Kaepernick's complaint alleging that his inability to secure a player contract since becoming a free agent in March 2017 has been due to an agreement among team owners and the NFL that violates Article 17, Section 1 of the collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the NFLPA." -- Good grief... by necessity, "justice is blind, but judges shouldn't be.. Just last week, John Elway of Denver made known of a $7 Million dollar offer KaeperPRICK rejected, which pretty much destroys the claim of collusion, and since then, KaeperPRICK has done zilch in making himself "attractive" to football fans anywhere.

From the "Bias? What bias?' department - Online headline/rest of the story" +Trump cancels pay raise due federal workers in January * President Donald Trump has told Congress he is canceling a pay raise that most civilian federal employees were due to receive in January, citing budgetary constraints. * Trump says in the letter that locality pay increases would cost $25 billion, on top of a 2.1 percent across-the-board increase for most civilian government employees." -- "ON TOP OF A 2.1 PERCENT ACROSS-THE-BOARD INCREASE FOR MOST GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES"? Good grief.. what Trump is canceling is a $11,900.00 raise per federal employee on TOP of the $2,600.00 raise they recently got .. we have 2.1 Million employees (including the 130,000 Obama padded the rolls) and, as it is, we have 2,100,000 federal employees (non-military) and the annual payroll is $276,000,000,000.00 which means the average federal employees is paid over $131,000.00 per year ALREADY! Trump ...Vision 2020!
---
From the "Jon Lovitz, "yeah, that's the ticket" department - Online headline/story: "Fire inspectors shut down bar where fatal shooting occurred * A city code violation report says the restaurant didn't have a permit to hold the Madden NFL 19 tournament last weekend. On Sunday afternoon 24-year-old former champion gamer David Katz of Baltimore opened fire inside Chicago Pizza, killing two people and injuring nearly a dozen others before killing himself. * ire inspectors say the layout was altered without approval to create the GLHF Game Bar, where the tournament took place." -- Good grief.. Jacksonville is more concerned about not getting "another fee" for a business trying to bring excitement and sales/hotel taxpaying tourists to town.. so now Jacksonville is going to further punish the business.. isn't that a "piling on penalty"?
---
Looks like Bruce Ohr might be joining a new-aged Bill Clinton "FOB" class... but the acronym doesn't men the same.. "FOB" use to mean "Friend Of Bill"... now it means "Finding Other Bodies". --- From the "racism? what racism?" department - Online headline: "Juan Williams: Donald Trump Is the 'Snowflake President' -- How does MSM-13 let this pass without purging Juan Williams.. I guess Williams in the same protected arena with Jesse Jackson, who referred to NYC as "Hymie-town"., Hmmm.. I guess it's because Williams. like Jackson, can get away with slurs because he's a ......DIMocrat, too!
---
Online headline: "California Democrats call for In-N-Out boycott after burger chain donates $25G to GOP" -- Hmmm... I guess now that Christian Californians will have a hamburger choice to take their families to and be able to eat in peace.. Chick-fil-A already serves that purpose for chicken.
---
Watched some clips from the Cuomo-Nixon debate for the DIMocrat Gubernatorial Primary race in NY. I got somewhat confused...here were two uber liberals trying to out-flank each other to get as far left as possible, and , at times, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry..
---
DIMocrat spinmeisters are out to sidetrack Kavanaugh because he's against OObamaCRAP....huh? Yeah a DIMocrat spinmeister actually said OObamaCRAP is a constitutional RIGHT. Actually , regardless of what John Robert's said, OObamaCRAP's "mandatory" requirement was.. at best.. a Constitutional affront to our rights to make the choice ourselves.
---
From the "bias? what bias?" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "Stacey Abrams draws big Columbus crowd, talks about Stone Mountain stance in L-E interview * More than 150 people crammed into the 124-seat auditorium at the Columbus Public Library. Another 100 stood outside, unable to get into the hall." -- 250 people is a large crowd? Maybe so for DIMocrats... Obviously, though, Stacey Abrams missed the opportunity to point out the root of the major problems South Central/West Georgia has to deal with... the obstacles were right in the room with her but she didn't point out that Bishop, Smyre, Harbison, and Hugley were actually in the room.. Not sure whether Mayor Tom-LYING-son was there or not, but there was no mention of her being there.
---
From the "too bad some wishes coming true" department - While having other politicians appoint school board members was not the best option Phenix City has just voted in the worst possible option... a public elected board. Haven't Phenix City voters been paying attention to what's gone on here in Columbus? The elected school board are more politically involved than in problem solving..Columbus had the best option when the School Board was appointed by the Grand Jury as history has shown.
---
You know , when Trump brings up MS-13, the antifa, tax cuts, the soaring GDP/DJIA, and 'the WALL', MSM-13 blindly defends the DIMocrat opposition. What Trump should do is start alternately complimenting half the MSM-13 one week, and then the other half the next week... then sit back and watch half of the MSM-13 cannibalize the other half one week, and the other half cannibalize the other half the following week.
---
Another moment not working for McCain...leaving his earthly life with anger and unforgiveness ..this time it's Sarah Palin ..who, basically was the only reason most Republicans voted "for" his candidacy. The others just voted against the DIMocrat.
---
California has a bill pending about REQUIRING public corporations to have a woman on their board of directors. Talk about the past being an albatross to what California libs consider progress... can't you see some Male on every California Board of Directors standing up, declaring themselves "transgendered" by saying, "I'm a girl !"?
---
From the "collusion? what collusion?" department - Online headline/story: "3 ‘extremist Muslim’ New Mexico compound suspects released after judge drops all charges * District Judge Emilio Chavez and Judge Jeff McElroy on Wednesday dismissed charges against three of the five defendants -- Lucas Morton, Subhannah Wahhaj and Hujrah Wahhaj -- ruling that authorities violated the state’s “10-day rule.”" -- Hmmm... Judge Chavez.. though was appointed judge originally, he's an elected DIMocrat.. and running unopposed in November! Judge McElroy is also a DIMocrat and not up for re-election of confirmation this year.. and the Taos DA? Also and an elected DIMocrat... Donald Gallegos.
---
From the "if it looks like, sounds like, and walks like a duck, it's probably a duck" department - Online headline: "CNN fires back at Trump, stands by controversial story: ‘CNN does not lie’" -- Hmmm...CNN says it 'does not lie'... well if one knowingly reports an untruth that the source later refutes, then it's the same as lying.
---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Auditor: Former Mayor Reed not authorized to give bonuses * Former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed had no legal authority to award more than $500,000 in bonuses given to city staffers last year before he left office, according to a report by Atlanta City Hall’s independent officer and ethics officer." -- E-When's that auditor gonna be hired to audit Columbus' Mayor/ City Manager team.. just the thought of those unauthorized pat raises should have been enough to trigger one.
---
From a "Letter to the Editor" in the M/C L-E: "Yesterday, I had the privilege of working with the League of Women Voters in a voters registration drive. The event was the Cougar Kickoff for students at Columbus State University. Over 50 new voters were registered." -- Just curious,, do out-of-town/state CSU students register as Columbus voters? Let's face it, out-of-town/state college students are not residents in the sense that they are contributing members of the community.

---
From the "good grief!" department -- Florida State requires new students to take a course on dealing with stress.... but with one caveat... Florida State gives every new student an "out". If a new student feels stressed at being required to take a course on how to deal with stress, then the student is not required to take it.. If I was a Florida State alumnus, I do believe I'd demand that Florida State expunge my existence there, and give me a full refund of all my tuition/expenses..

From the either "bias? what bias? or the "I love it when libs eat their own" department - HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "Democrats just confirmed lots of Trump's judges so they could skip town * It’s a major win for Trump and McConnell, whose No. 1 priority is filling up federal courts with conservative judges ― many of whom are incredibly anti-abortion, anti–LGBTQ rights and anti–voting rights. " -- Good grief... our courts are about protecting our Constitutional rights, not about rewriting it through judicial activism versus the Constitutionally defined methods.

---
It's scary that the FBI 'leaked' stories of information it created then used those stories as evidence to present to a FISA judge to get higher level surveillance clearances on any American citizen, but it is dastardly that the FBI did it to spy on a presidential candidate. It's even scarier the FBI didn't use the actual information it had on Hellary to protect America.

---
Banning Trump from his own funeral.... hmmm... when it gets down to facts, it's sad that John McCain has departed life on Earth without forgiving President Trump. Sounds like McCain loses this battle.

---
You can see the DIMocrats literally falling apart..Tuesday night, Jehmu Greene was on Fox News talking about how the DIMocrat strategy was anti black women, and Wednesday AM, a white female DIMocrat spinmeister was gungho on the rise of black DIMocrat women in Florida who would make the difference in electing the Bernie-backed gubernatorial candidate over the Trump-backed candidate in November. I'm betting Jehmu Greene is a lot more on top of this issue.

---
California does it again...being a sanctuary state was bad enough, but beginning in 2019, California will be a cash-free bail state on non-violent misdemeanor crimes. In other words, most bailbond businesses will close down, and criminals will know exactly the limits of the law they need to stay under to stay free from jail.

---
Yesterday, I was talking about our GDP growth projection of growing to 4.6% in the 3rd Quarter after reaching 4.1% in the 2nd Quarter...Then Wednesday AM, the 2nd Quarter actual figures were RAISED to 4.2%! TRUMP...2020 VISION!

---
As scary as Jerry Brown has been for the taxpayers in California and the other 49 states, the next California DIMocrat candidate for governor, Gavin Newsome, wants to cover healthcare for all illegal aliens using MedicAID dollars. Guess it's basically a bribe to get the illegal votes.

---
I want to bring up what's being described as a Chinese 'hack' into Hellary's server as no e-mails... I don't think there was a 'hack' at all, the Clinton's and ChiComs have been political "buds" for decades, and the Chinese were probably provided the password to Hellary's computer.

---
Online story: "A for-profit company that educates at-risk students won tens of millions of dollars from Chicago Public Schools with help from then-CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett and her co-conspirators in a separate bribery scandal, the school district’s inspector general found in a report released Tuesday. * That “highly unethical conduct” was essential for Camelot Education to open four CPS campuses several years ago, Inspector General Nicholas Schuler’s office said in the report. Camelot now operates six schools in CPS, with a total of about 800 students, and the Texas-based company has received more than $67 million in district business, the IG said." -- Good grief! This is the company that our MCSD Superintendent wanted to bring into OUR school system! By the grace of God, through many concerned citizens and a 5-4 vote of the MCSB, this move was thwarted.. Next year, 2 of the votes that kept Camelot out will be gone.. perhaps we need a forensic audit of all the MCSD administration to look for kickback Camelot may have used to induce consideration.

It's gonna be interesting in Florida this November.. you probably heard that a Bernie-backed candidate won the Socialist-DIMocrat gubernatorial primary with 34% of the leftist vote, but the most interesting race may Florida 27th. Maria Salazar won the Republican primary, and she will go against.. are you ready for this.. Donna Shalala... Yep, Donna Shalala who was Bill Clinton's Secretary of HHS, has served as CEO of the Clinton Foundation, and.. get this.. is a honorary board member of the American Iranian Council, an organization that seeks to promote closer U.S. relations with Iran. Shalala won the DIMocrat Primary with a whopping 31% of the leftists...

Oh, and who cannot remember Rush Limbaugh's "Shalala" segments.. He even had a special "Shalala" intro parody inspired by Eric Clapton's "Layla".

---
Online story: "The vote by L.A. City Council comes more than a year after City Council President Herb Wesson proposed renaming the three-and-a-half-mile “Rodeo Road” to “Obama Boulevard” in honor of the former president. " -- Hmmm... guess renaming it for Bill Clinton was ruled out when the mayor realized that Clinton Blvd would meet near a cigar store at Santa MONICA.....

---
Columbus' Calvin Smyre must have done a number on Jehmu Greene back in '96..she was on Fox News last night blasting the DIMocrat Party for abandoning black women.

---
Online headline: "Limbaugh: It's Clear Why The Media Is Really Praising John McCain So Much" -- Trump should tell McConnell that if Schumer brings a bill to the Senate to rename the Russell Office Building , then put it straight on the floor for discussion, then add a "Build the Damn Wall... NOW" amendment to it, and put it immediately up for vote. Even add naming the Arizona part of the wall for McCain, and a Capitol Building bathroom for Schumer.

---
You know, any..every...DIMocrat who voices his/her current opinion about John McCain on TV or on other MSM-13 platforms, should have to have comments they made during the presidential race in 2008. America is owed "fair and balanced" responses.

---
If you tuned into the MSM-13 networking system, you probably missed hearing that Consumer Confidence has reached an 18- year HIGH to go along with the DJIA flirting with new highs.

---
Online headline/story: "GOP rep touches off firestorm with claim FBI leaked info, used stories to get FISA warrants * "We've learned NEW information suggesting our suspicions are true: FBI/DOJ have previously leaked info to the press, and then used those same press stories as a separate source to justify FISA's," House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows, R-N.C., tweeted overnight." -- You know, if a local DA manufactured evidence to present to a local judge, the judge would ruin the DA...and rightfully so... not reward such with a favorable decision.

---
Why does Cuzzin Jimmy Carter show up to a National TV interview wearing a t-shirt and red cowboy's kerchief...if he added a plaid shirt, he would have easily been mistaken for a contestant in a Howdy Doody look-alike contest.... Well, at least he wasn't wearing a cardigan sweater..

---
Wow! The estimate...well, projection for the quarter ending on September 30th is now 4.6%! And that's following the quarter which ended June 30th coming in at 4.1%!

---
CNN is it's own worst enemy. CNN was overjoyed to report the comments/accusations of Lanny Davis, but when Davis recanted his accusations, CNN has refused to retract its stories. Oh.. even worse was that Lanny Davis was the "anonymous" source of the story to begin with..

---
From the "talk about out 'n out hypocrisy" department...if it wasn't so pathetic, it would almost be funny" department - CNN reporters demand for Trump and his spokespersons to provide names and sources for their comments and claims yet publish reports with neither names nor sources documented.

---
Online story: "Atlanta City Hall is closed Monday afternoon due to an air conditioning outage, according to city officials. *“Off-site city operations will continue to function as normally as possible in the interim,” officials said on Twitter. “We expect City Hall to reopen at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.” * They are asking residents to monitor the ATL311 and City of Atlanta social media accounts for more information on city services throughout the day." -- Maybe out going Atlanta Mayor Reed should have bribed the HVAC companies instead of some of his staff.

---
What does Mueller think he's doing? He's contemplating retrying Manafort on the 10 charges the jury rejected Mueller's premise... What jury wants to rehash to 10 non-verdict issues when the other 8 are already over and won't... actually CAN'T (double jeopardy) be part of the presentations.

---
Correct me if I'm wrong....please...but since the Mayor is either a named or ad hoc member of all our authorities and boards, shouldn't it be her obligation to get the Chamber of Commerce staff to see that any campaign signs attributable to one of it's employees be removed since the election period is over?

---
The MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition has it's gender-neutral panties in a wad about the letter from North Korea...good grief, Trump has had more contact and conversations with North Korea in the last 18 months than Obama and Bush combined...and yet, a flare up is devastating to DIMocrats. Now, how many American soldiers remains did any other US President get returned to outer country and their families?

---
From the "what a depressing commentary on our society" department - M/C L-E headline: "Army’s top general explains idea of freedom, sacrifice" -- How pathetic.. that a US General.. our current Chief of Staff, must educate business leaders and local mainscream media personnel on the history of the greatness of our country.. I hope all our MCSD administrative personnel.. especially those involved in student curriculum, were sitting on the 1st Row.

---
M/C L-E headline: "Detainees’ suit cites ‘deplorable conditions’ inside Stewart facility" -- Good grief! From what we are told about the reason's illegal aliens risk entering out country is to ESCAPE "deplorable" conditions.. I'm willing to bet the Stewart County facility would be a 5-star hotel compared to areas theses illegals left.

---
From the "Columbus in the spotlight!" department - M/C L-E headline: "Pass eager to lead Louisville after Heisman-winner Jackson" -- "Pass"? Well, not just ANY "pass".. Jawon Pass.. former Carver High of Columbus superstar...and what a first game starting experience he will have.. facing off with the Nation Champion Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday.

---
Did you see it? The news about the latest Consumer Confidence figures... the HIGHEST in 18 years... but it's even more significant that that... it is at its HIGHEST since the Islamic Terrorist Attack on our country in September of 2001. Oh, and, of course, it's buried on Page 3B rather than on the Front Page of the M/C L-E.

Tuesday, August 28, 2018

From the "UpChuck Schmoozer lives up to his name" department - With no intent other than to cause consternation and distraction from now to November, Socialist-DIMocrat Senator Chuck Schumer of NY said he was going to introduce a bill to rename the Russell Senate Office Building (a.k.a. Old Senate Office Building or Old S.O.B.) of the late.. but unburied.. John McCain. Schumer will do anything to get conversation away from the DIMocrats not having a positive message to offer the country so he just wants to create negative discord since the Trump-assault is not working. Please take note that Schumer did not ever suggest renaming any of the Senate Office Buildings after EITHER Jack or Ted Kennedy. You know, Schumer MUST be considered to be honored with a Senate Office Building name one day.. perhaps even the one being discussed now.. it fact, it could revert back to the original name and be on point.. simply the S.O.B.

What a bush-league play by Schumer..calling for renaming the Senate office building for a Republican who's not even buried yet. Purely a political move by Schumer to cause consternation going into the November elections

---
I just learned something new today..the founder of Winchester Firearms was William Wirt Winchester... so begins a new search to connect him with my genealogy....as I am a great-grandson of William Wirt Fry. Hmmm... maybe I am a son.... well gg-son... of a gun!

---
Online headline/story: "Cohen's lawyer walks back claim Trump knew of Russia meeting * Lanny Davis, is walking back his assertions that his client, the president's former "fixer," could tell a special prosecutor that Trump had prior knowledge of a meeting with a Russian lawyer to get damaging information on Hillary Clinton." -- "walks back"? Or maybe Davis had a dementia slip, and it's not ABOUT Hellary's meeting with the Russian uranium meeting.

---
M/C L-E headline: "Immigration detainees cite ‘deplorable conditions’ inside Stewart facility in lawsuit" - Gimmee a break...isn't the reason they come in illegally because of truly deplorable conditions in their home countries?

---
You know, after all the roundabouts are installed, maybe the Chamber can market "Columbus..the Circus Town of "Terry"-Go-Rounds".

---
Another week...no Campaign Disclosure from Zeph Baker, and Amy Bryan campaign signs are still eyesores on Chamber member buildings.

---
Speaking of unfinished local news, what is the determination of the cause of the head injury on the body that was pulled out of the Chattahoochee a few weeks ago? I'm sure the GA Autopsy Center is busy just from the backlogged "business" from Columbus, but a preliminary report should be available by now.

---
Well, once again, eliminating our 2nd Amendment rights is the primary thought and goal of the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition. What MSM-13 doesn't grasp is that once the DIMocrats neutralize the 2nd Amendment, they can also neutralize MSM-13's prized 1st Amendment rights without being contested.. Does MSM-13 really understand that when the DIMocrats ever regain power, they will not want MSM-13 holding them accountable.

---
Bi-partisan is a most inadequate word to describe how things get done in Washington. What's needed is individual representatives, regardless of party affiliations, bringing the wishes of their constituents to fruition in their voting... not kowtowing to self-aggrandizing party manipulators.

---
How about that...President Trump has negotiated a great new deal with Mexico under the radar of MSM-13 and while MSM-13 has been distracted by it's own agenda of trying to portray President Trump as incapable of running our country. Trump ..Vision 2020.

---
From the "what is going on in our public schools" department -- Online story: "The chairman of a Connecticut school district's board of education resigned after the board voted to begin each meeting by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. * Josh Adams, chairman of the New Hartford Board of Education, reportedly stepped down after opposing a vote by his fellow board members. * Adams was overruled after telling board members that he would not propose the policy in a meeting, saying he decides on the agenda as chairman." -- Good grief.. how can schools NOT teach pride, unity, and support of country are keys to survival!

---
From the "there's a new category for "trans" department - Online headline/story: "Socialist NY Senate candidate challenged over claims of being an immigrant, Jewish * A Democratic Socialist candidate for New York Senate faces questions after reports emerged that she falsified her biography, including claims about being an immigrant and Jewish, while her previous work shows she was a Christian conservative advocate. * The candidate for state office previously told multiple outlets that she’s an immigrant from Colombia and noted that her family immigrated to the U.S. when she was young. Her father, she said, was Jewish but the family had little contact with the American Jewish community after they arrived to the country. * “I immigrated to this country with my family when I was very little. In Colombia, my mom raised me as a single mother,” she also said during one of her events on the campaign trail." -- Good grief.. not only are libs declaring their gender at whim-of-the-moment, this politician is declaring her religion and country of origin by what neighbor hood she's in... wonder if she's been to Harlem yet so we can find out her DNA?

You know, I think new laws about primaries need to be enacted and enforced.. especially one about showing an indisputable Certificate of Birth and Citizenship path.

---
Online headline: "Iran claims it controls Strait of Hormuz, prompting Pompeo denial" -- Hmmm.. I feel pretty sure the U.A.E and Saudi Arabia might not fully agree with Iran, but if I was calling the shots.. I do believe I'd place a couple of aircraft carriers and submarines to stop any Irani oil from leaving the Strait of Hormuz.

---
How do "Gun Free Zones" really protect law abiding citizens? When these are advertised or signs posted, all it does is tell outlaws that no one who obeys the law will be armed and able to defend him/herself or other law abiding citizens. Just another liberal fail.

---
There's rumor that Poop Francis's head may be on the chopping block in the Vatican.. all the sexual improprieties that are happening under his command are stacking up a little bit TOO HIGH for even Poop Francis.. On a better note, Poop Francis would be welcomed gleefully in San Francisco, and there's probably a waiting job for him...head of the Poop Patrol on the streets of San Francisco.

---
I have an idea that truly benefit Columbus taxpayers and Government employees alike. There's an issue on the Council agenda concerning allowing law enforcement officers to take their 'take home' patrol cars to their homes in other counties or states. Columbus would benefit greatly if all these valued citizens lived in Columbus, so make it a win-win situation for Columbus taters and law enforcement personnel alike. Set up an exemption on the City's portion of property taxes for as long as they work in such jobs, and lifetime if they serve 20 years or more. Oh.. and don't forget that there could be dangerous liability situations if our law enforcement officers were speeding in another state/county and were involved in or caused a wreck on their way to Columbus to handle a duty call.

---
As Dick Vitale would exclaim... "We're BACK, BaaaBy! Back to 26,000 on the DOW! TRUMP.TRUMP.TRUMP!

---
From the "the sky is falling.. the sky is falling" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "FORT BENNING * Lead levels in military housing draw scrutiny * An investigative report last week by an international news agency has brought congressional scrutiny on lead-based paint issues in older housing at military installations, specifically many of the older and historic homes Fort Benning used to house soldiers and their families." -- Good grief.. tons of American homes.. schools even, that have lead-based paint on the walls without causing safety issues until major renovations are scheduled, and then, there are already "lead abatement" procedures/laws already in effect. It's the dust from such that creates the problem, and contractors are responsible for following procedures. If there are lawsuits filed, it's the contractors who should be served..

---
From the "bet DIMocrats don't invite him to open their political events" department - M/C L-E story: "More than 1,000 people packed the Columbus Convention and Trade Center’s ballroom for the first day of the 13th annual forum dubbed “Art of Leadership.” * “One of the things you have to learn eventually is that if you do not take responsibility for your life, you do not have the power to change your life. You must take ownership or you relinquish power,” said Monday’s opener Erwin McManus, an author, entrepreneur and pastor of a church in Los Angeles." -- "One of the things you have to learn eventually is that if you do not take responsibility for your life, you do not have the power to change your life. You must take ownership or you relinquish power"?  Wow... this is a warning shot to all of the DIMocrat voting base about who to NOT vote for! DIMocrats are the ones that want to enslave the country... again!

Monday, August 27, 2018

Online headline: "NBC/WSJ poll: Trump approval 'remarkably stable' after a stormy week of bad news * But 56 percent of voters say Trump has not been honest and truthful about the Mueller probe." -- First, if 95% of the news you heard was one-issue propaganda of hatred for a person just existing, you would start believing what you hear.. but, you know...the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition would be doing the same things they are doing to President Trump if any other Republican has beaten Hellary..while there wasn't much chance of that happening (but it could have). Of course had Trump not won, no other Republican would have gotten the tax cuts passed, the job increases, companies moving back to America, gotten the economy and stock market and retirement accounts soaring, or gotten a conservative candidate nominated and approved for the Supreme Court.

---
John McCain.. R.I.P.

---
Prior online headline: "At GOP event, Trump is silent on dying McCain" -- Good grief.. if Trump HAD said words of condolence, the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition and Mueller would have pounced on those words as insincere.. and PERJURIOUS, and called for impeachment.

---
From the "bias? What bias?'" department - New York Times online story: "President Trump offered his “deepest sympathies and respect” to the family of Senator John McCain on Saturday night, setting aside a years long, bitter and often deeply personal feud between the two men that had lasted into the senator’s final days. * The president shared his condolences in a tweet, shortly after it was announced that Mr. McCain, who had been battling brain cancer, had died. * Mr. McCain, a former prisoner of war in Vietnam who rose to power as a prominent Republican politician, emerged as an early and vocal critic from within Mr. Trump’s own party." -- Good grief.. "Mr McCain... Mr Trump"? The NYT couldn't even get through a eulogistic story without "dissing" Senator McCain and President Trump...

---
Online headline: "Clinton, Obama among Democrats paying tribute to McCain's commitment to bipartisanship" -- You know, when Obama, Hellary, and Schumer express remorse over the death of any Republican, you know their sincerity comes out of the other side of their mouths.

---
Online story: "In his more than three decades of service on Capitol Hill, Sen. John McCain was known for many things: his dedication to the United States, his passion and his temper, his strong convictions, and, maybe most notably, his ability to work across the aisle to get results. In his more than three decades of service on Capitol Hill, Sen. John McCain was known for many things: his dedication to the United States, his passion and his temper, his strong convictions, and, maybe most notably, his ability to work across the aisle to get results." -- Hmmm.. and what McCain will lastly be remembered for is the vindictive "NO" vote on ending all of ObamaCARE.

---
Online headline: "Yellowstone bear that attacked boy won't be captured, killed" -- Hmmm... the kids father must have been wearing a "MAGA" hat...

---
Hmmm... it seems a 2nd no-name Fox news reporter has left Fox News this month... because he was "unhappy with the tone of the conversation".. Hmmmm... guess Fox is more balanced now, as those two must have way further left than Juan Williams and Jessica Tarlov.

---
So Oprah is shelling out $90 MILLION on her new mansion.. proud for her success... but it sure does put a question about her stances on humanity.. her "Oprah Show" could have staged an audience of 246 homeless people and given them all $250,000.00 homes had over $28,000,000.00 left to build her own mansion.

---
Online headline/story: "San Francisco's 'Poop Patrollers' cleaning up -- on the streets and at the bank * , San Francisco has assigned six city workers to a new "Poop Patrol" to rid targeted sidewalks of human waste -- but it turns out the pay is far from crappy.
* "Poop patrollers" earn $71,760 a year, which swells to a value of $184,678 with mandated benefits * A team of five Public Works employees and a supervisor will begin patrolling the alleys around Polk Street and other hot spots in about a month" -- Hmmm.. and the average salary for a San Francisco teacher is about $56,000. Looks like San Francisco is paying more to scrape up the crap of people than it pays for the liberal crap it puts into students..., and since it is a 6-man public works team, I expect some photos of San Francisco tourists to take pictures... of a supervisor holding TP, one shoveling, and 4 leaning on their shovels... and holding their noses

Oh! The new "Poop Patrol" is part of the city’s Pit Stop program, which also provides staffed public toilets around the downtown areas. Wonder if the attendants offer cologne for their patrons..well, it is San Francisco.

MSNBC had a DIMocrat spinmeister on Friday who actually tried to convince the MSNBC panel that a Department of Education program which would allow schools the option to use grant money to arm and train teachers to be able to thwart an attack by a shooter should not be allowed because some teachers might discipline brown or black students by shooting them. ..and nobody on the MSNBC stepped up to challenge such stupidity. WE have to assume any MSNBC "rating figures" above ZERO are 'fake news'.

How can an immunity deal with the CFO that Trump turned over 'the gate" to his financial empire be made without shining the light on aspects the CFO wants to avoid being held accountable for?

---
How does granting immunity to a criminal benefit justice? Our Constitution protects individual rights better than any other Constitution in the world. We have a right to a speedy trial, a fair trial, a trial by a jury of one's peers, even legal representation whether its personally affordable or not, so how does "paying off" someone who has an illegal mess on his/her hands to say bad things about someone else and not be responsible for the damage...or for the real crimes he/she committed. Technically, such a witness cannot even be fairly cross examined by the defendants attorney. Now, offering protective custody or even a reduced, but adequate (for the crime) sentence can be a useful tool, but immunity..it's just not what should done in America.

Online headline: "Defiant Pelosi says she's not going anywhere: 'I have a following'" -- "a following"? Well, so did the Pied Piper of Hamlin... first the lemming, and when they broke their promise, then their children... sounds like play out of the playbook of every Socialist-DIM0crat in history.

From the "shades of the General Lee" department - Online story: "One California school district is being both championed and condemned for its new "anti-dress code" instated for the 2018-2019 school year, allowing students to sport looks that include tube tops, ripped jeans and pajamas on campus to their heart’s content. * In recent weeks, the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) rolled out a revised dress code policy on a yearlong trial period, which the San Francisco Chronicle describes as "among the most permissive in the Bay Area.” * While those students enrolled in the San Jose-area district are still required to wear bottoms, tops, shoes and clothing that "covers genitals, buttocks, and areolae/nipples with opaque material,” they otherwise have a whole lot of sartorial freedom. * According to the policy, hats, hoodie sweatshirts, leggings, yoga pants, skinny jeans, midriff baring tops, pajamas, ripped jeans (as long as underwear is not exposed), tank tops including spaghetti straps, halter tops and tube tops are all fair game. Sweatpants, shorts, skirts, dresses, pants, religious headwear, athletic attire and clothing with logos are also allowed. *Meanwhile, the youth are barred from wearing anything with language or imagery promoting drugs, alcohol, violence, hate speech, profanity or pornography, as well as visible underwear or bathing suits. * Reps for AUSD told the Chronicle that school board officials agreed to change the dress code after some female students complained about feeling body-shamed from enforcement of the old dress code last year." -- heh heh heh.."some female students complained about feeling body-shamed from enforcement of the old dress code last year? Though not specified in the words, the pictures include "Daisy Dukes".. and believe me, not many people can wear those without "body shaming" everyone who can't .. Oh! can you not see Senior picture day.. when transgenders show up in Daisy Dukes and tube tops?

You know, there's a lot of good to be said about Jeff Sessions...and I believe he was right in recusing himself from the current Trump Inquisition, but I think he was wrong in allowing Mueller to head it up. That said, I agree with President Trump that Sessions should have initiated a separate team to go after the FBI personnel and the DOJ personnel who collaborated with Hellary and Obama and Mueller.

From the new breed of DIMocrat who has learned to speak fluently out of both sides of her mouth AT THE SAME TIME" department - Online headline/story: "Ocasio-Cortez claims solidarity with cab drivers -- while campaign buys rides from Uber, other 'alternatives,' FEC data show * New York Socialist Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez once blamed ride-sharing giant Uber for leading a yellow cab driver to suicide. Her campaign then took $4,000 worth of Uber rides. * NYC's fourth driver suicide. Yellow cab drivers are in financial ruin due to the unregulated expansion of Uber. What was a living wage job now pays under minimum,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote" -- You know, her only interest in Yellow Cabs is that cab drivers are unified and a voting bloc... and in typical DIMocrat form, is only interested in THEIR VOTES.

Online story: " A federal judge dealt a blow Saturday to President Donald Trump's efforts to "promote more efficient" government, ruling that key provisions of three recent executive orders "undermine federal employees' right to bargain collectively" under federal law. * U.S. District Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson said Trump had "exceeded his authority" in issuing the orders." -- Excuse me, but what part of the Constitution endows one District Court Judge.. one with but 5 years experience appointed by an anti-constitutional president, the power to tell a sitting president what he can't do? It takes a majority of sitting U.S. Supreme Court Judges to do that and that was what the Founding Fathers wanted.

As we get ready for the new football season, my main rule question of this year is the same as the last few years...If the defense cannot grab..even unintentionally...the facemask of a ballcarrier , why is the runner allowed to stick his arm/hand out and put/Jamie into the tacklers facemask/helmet? It's the same ...it's controlling the other player through this equipment.

What looked like what was going to be a season long tongue-twister and spell-check enigma may have been solved by an ardent Alabama fan and parent. We were discussing the upcoming season and got on the subject of Tua Tagovailoa, and after some stirring and stammering, he just started calling him, "The Hawaiian". So be it.

I watched a replay of the UGA-ALA playoff game yesterday.. I tell you what..I'd think again before putting all my marbles on a quarterback who won't start his first college football game this year on the basis of a "hail Mary" on a 2nd-and-26 play in the overtime period..

From the "it's bad when Bill Maher is the only interview you can get" department - Online headline: "John Brennan agrees with Bill Maher that Trump presidency is 'third great crisis in American history' -- How did Brennan ever GET security clearance in the first place?

---
You know, if the illegal alien that killed the young woman in Iowa came into the US 7 years ago, he would qualify as one of Obama's "dreamers".. ironically, people now will look at it more accurately as one of Obama's "NIGHTMARES".

M/C headline/story: "LAW ENFORCEMENT * Traffic tickets now paid online at Recorder’s Court" * The payments are confirmed promptly and there is a small fee charged by nCourt to offset the expense of using the system." -- "a small fee charged by nCourt to offset the expense of using the system"? Hmmm.. you know, seems like there's no break for the citizens of Columbus here.. seems that using an online collections service would save a lot of City employee man hours and record keeping to make it worthwhile for the City to joyfully absorb the collection fees.

Columbus Council Agenda:
"CITY MANAGER’S AGENDA TIA SPIDERWEB NETWORK PROJECT : Approval is requested to enter into a supplemental agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to adjust the engineering services and ROW budget for the TIA Spiderweb Network Project. The Spiderweb Network Project is a 2012 Transportation Investment Act project for the development of a bridge over the Norfolk Southern railroad that crosses Buena Vista Road near the intersections of Illges and Andrews Roads. The project was approved by the voters in 2013, for total budget of $40 million dollars. As the project has developed, so have the costs to complete the necessary engineering. The original budget set the cost at $2,484,684 for preliminary engineering, with the understanding that a cost to provide the final plans would be established later. That cost has now been determined to increase by another $2 million for a total of $4,484,684." -- First, what is "necessary engineering"? Sounds to me like an examination and planning project... How does such run $2 MILLION over original budgeting?

One other Council discussion will be about letting officer take their "take home" vehicles to their homes in other counties and/or states, but that's not what the program was trying to accomplish. One of the benefits of the take home vehicles was to park them in driveways as visible objects of police presence.. which should.. could.. act as an additional deterrence to criminal activity.. Of course, there is a win-win solution.. such officers can move back into Columbus.. which adds the additional benefits of not only them being closer to "duty", but also paying property taxes in Columbus, not other cities/schools/states.. Carrying it a bit further, why not require ALL Muscogee County/Columbus employees live in Columbus so all those tax revenues will be paid into the community that employs them... AND, all would be counted in OUR population counts so Columbus would benefit from state and federal distributions... and don't tell me this CAN"T be done.. it is elsewhere.

---
You know, our police department cannot stop bad things from happening on our streets, but they can help stop them from happening again....but not unless our juries and courts put...and keep,...them incarcerated long enough to make them not want to go back.

The Little League World Series ended yesterday with South Korea taking on Hawaii in Williamsport, PA. Think about this, Hawaii traveled further to Williamsport than it would have had to travel to South Korea. Oh... BTW, congrats Hawaii!

---
PRICK's Sporting Goods spent a lot of money as a sponsor/advertiser of the Little League World Series.... Hmmm..spent? More like wasted..I haven't been in..nor plan to in the future.. a Prick's Sporting Goods Store since it kowtowed to liberal gun issues.

Guess the squeaky wheel does get oiled....sometimes" department - I mention a section of Cloverdale periodically because of it's horrific potholes...last week, obviously the City took notice, and came out and fixed them...all ELEVEN of them. Now, how long does it take for one-half of 1/10th of a mile of roadway to develop 11 potholes? Glad they are fixed...currently...but we'd had an obstacle course we all had as we discovered new potholes in the places we once zigged to avoid the one we knew about. You cannot but wonder if alignment shops pay the City a cut of every re-alignment job they get.

Online headline/story: "Americans 'deserve to know' if president as corrupt as people around him who pleaded guilty * A key House Democrat on both the Intelligence and Judiciary Committees said Americans should know if President Trump is implicated in any way by the convictions and guilty pleas of some of his former associates." -- Even more important is America knowing how corrupt the Obama/Clinton/Comey/Lynch/McCabe et al relationships have been.

---
Online headline: "NBC/WSJ poll: Trump approval 'remarkably stable' after a stormy week of bad news * But 56 percent of voters say Trump has not been honest and truthful about the Mueller probe." -- First, if 95% of the news you heard was one-issue propaganda of hatred for a person just existing, you would start believing what you hear.. but, you know...the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition would be doing the same things they are doing to President Trump if any other Republican has beaten Hellary..while there wasn't much chance of that happening (but it could have). Of course had Trump not won, no other Republican would have gotten the tax cuts passed, the job increases, companies moving back to America, gotten the economy and stock market and retirement accounts soaring, or gotten a conservative candidate nominated and approved for the Supreme Court.

There's a list of the "Most Polluted Cities", but it's outdated.. it ranks San Francisco the number 6th worst.. In my book, once Council authorized a "Poop Patrol" division to scrape up human excrement, San Francisco leap-frogged to the Number 1 spot..

Friday, August 24, 2018

I want to restate something I wrote yesterday concerning a jury verdict and sentence.. three animals were convicted for heinous acts against humanity, and their victim defied all odds and survived. The three animals have been sentenced to permanent incarceration at the expense of the taxpayers... including the victim...I considered it a "jury fail" like so many we have had in Columbus involving killings..I was wrong.. it was not another "jury fail".. not even a sentencing fail... it was a SYSTEM FAIL! Seems that since the victim did not die from the animals best efforts, the death penalty can not be given.. step up to the plate, legislators.

We went to an educational event last night.. concerning protecting our children and grandchildren from the now ever-present Internet Boogeyman.. it was scarily enlightening.. Jesse Weinberger built her reveal around a quote from Frederick Douglass, "It's easier to build strong children than to repair broken men".. How cryptic in today's world..I want to challenge our School Board to have these words etched into the back walls of the MCSB boardroom. and the Superintendent's office, so they have to see them every time they try to defend a mediocre test result showing that our 3rd graders can't read, or that our overall system test grades are below state average. Again, "It's easier to build strong children than to repair broken men". One only has to look at the newspaper stories of arrests and trials, and the rolls of our jails to understand what is happening.

---
M/C L-E headline: "Columbus man charged with child pornography after Snapchat search" -- in my item above concerning the event my bride and I =went to see/hear, this exact subject matter was discussed..as well as other "free" sites that are targeted at our children/grandchildren.. it's just another in a long list of stories printed in the M/C L-E that remind us of Douglass' wisdom, ""It's easier to build strong children than to repair broken men". Parents! Take control of your children's environment!

Now the DIMocrats want to blame US employers for hiring illegals based on the situation that illegals wouldn't come here if there weren't jobs. Wait a minute..that has zero, zip, nada with stopping the invasions by illegals. When an illegal gets to Iowa and doesn't have a job, he/she is going to commit crimes to survive. The solution is stopping illegals at the border.

From the "Foghorn Leghorn School of Politics" department - Online headline:"David Hogg Smacked By His Supporters For His Pelosi Rant" -- As Foghorn Leghorn would say, "“Nice boy but he’s got more nerve than a bum tooth”.. Seems that when Hogg went "whole hog" denouncing old women DIMocrats, all DIMocrats realized he was talking about them as they are all gender neutral.

From the "there's still hope for America's future" department - Online headline: "Manafort juror: Mueller team's star witness 'deserves a special place in Hell' -- Hallelujah! Amen! There's a glimmer of hope our legal system will escape the hole liberalism has dug for it!

Well well well.. just got an estimate..considering a level plot of good compacted soil that a 60'x40'x8" slab could be framed and poured for about $14,000.00 . Of course plumbing and any electric conduit would be in place at extra cost, but it still shows there was an awful lot of questionable money being planned on for now $775,000.00 low-tech wrestling facilities at MCSD high schools. Looks like the material for a metal shell and framework could be had for $40K p]or less, and a slab to put it on for about $14K// hmm.. that's about $54,000.00 out of the initial "estimate" of $750,000.00 that would have left $696K to erect and equip the building..

Good grief...I got 4 "we removed your post" notices from Facebook yesterday and as soon as I objected to them calling it 'spam' FB IMMEDIATELY reposted my posts, and stated they were NOT against "community standards"..I tell you what, the only people who need their standards examined WORK for FB.

From the "grab hold of your wallet" department - Online story: The survival of those two new nuclear reactors under construction at Plant Vogtle just got more complicated. The electrical membership coop run by the city of Jacksonville, Fla., wants out of the deal.
* Here’s why that matters: Earlier this month, we got the news that the cost of the two reactors had gone up by $2.3 billion – only a few months after the state Public Service Commission approved the lower amount. The full price of the Vogtle upgrade is now $27 billion, double what was originally estimated and five years behind schedule. * The increase requires investors in the project to re-affirm their decision to move forward by Sept. 30. Georgia Power, a 46 percent partner, said it is ready to absorb its $1.1 billion share." --"Georgia Power... said it is ready to absorb its $1.1 billion share."? absorb? Georgia Power doesn't "absorb" any expense.. it uses those expenses to apply for higher rates WE pay...

Online story: "Oprah Winfrey is promoting “Shout your Abortion” movement through the July issue of “O” magazine which highlights – Amelia Bonow the founder of “Shout your Abortion – in the “Inspiration” section of the magazine…" -- Hmmm... you know, what would complete the story would be for interviews with Oprah's and Amelia's mothers/parents be included as to why they chose not to have abortions...

From the never use "password" as your password" department - Online headline/story: "Feared DNC hack was actually a security test 8 The DNC walked back an assertion that it had detected a "sophisticated" hacking attempt early Thursday, announcing instead that it was simply a subcontractor's unauthorized security test. * Why it matters: While this is a slight black eye for the DNC, who look a little foolish for riling up the press over what turned out to be an internal matter, it's a massive victory for Lookout, the third-party security firm that caught the "attempt" with its unique approach to discovering phishing sites. * The DNC uses the contractor NGP VAN to manage its digital voter operations — specifically, a product known as VoteBuilder. * Lookout discovered what appeared to be a newly-registered phishing site meant to look like the NGP VAN site and alerted several stakeholders. * After an FBI investigation, it turned out that, according to the DNC's chief security officer Bob Lord, a third party "not authorized by the DNC or its vendors" set up the site to test Democrats' resiliency to phishing attacks." -- Good grief.. this could actually be another cover-up for the DNC actually KNOWING about the "phishing site" to register more.. and probably illegal voters.. The RNC should monitor this and look for similar "phishing sites" linked to the DNC.

---
M-C L-E headline/story: "Found guilty in sex-slave case, wife erupts: ‘You lied on me!’ * “You lied on me! They didn’t have any evidence! I didn’t do anything!” -- Hmmm.. she protested, "They didn't have any evidence!".. sounds more like a confession after the fact that she went out of her way to make sure no physical evidence could be found or traced back to her..but the juror's saw through her.. Yea.. a non-jury-fail!

From the "what do Sean O'Hair, Kevin Tway, Jamie Lovemark, and Vaughn Taylor have in common" department - M/C L-E headline: "4-way tie for lead at Northern Trust as Tiger Woods stalls" -- What do those 4 have in common... well, they all shot 5-under par 65s and share the first round lead, and none got their name in the headline. I.. WE .. are all pulling for Tiger Woods to make a successful comeback, but MSM-13 is not helping matters when it piles on the pressure of a "participation trophy" at the expense of reality. Hey, MSM-13... give Tiger a break.. and just be ready when he ACTUALLY earns his way back on top.

---
From the "getting it right" department - M/C L-E headline: "MOVIE REVIEW * ‘The Happytime Murders’ is not worth your time" -- The headline is probably right on it's own thoughts about the movie itself, but what is absolutely right is the "R" rating for a Muppet charactered movie that presents "strong crude and sexual content and language throughout, and some drug material" through using cartoon figures aimed at slipping by inattentive parents.

From the "this makes it complete" - Online story: " Attorneys in the case of a Mexican man accused of killing an Iowa college student sparred Wednesday over the suspect's immigration status, and a defense lawyer lashed out at President Donald Trump for suggesting that his client is guilty in comments that he said would "poison" the entire jury pool." -- "a defense lawyer lashed out at President Donald Trump"? --- Hmmm. looks like another group has joined the 100% Collusion Club against Trump.. now we have But what's new lawyers, mainscream media, and DIMocrats lockstep in purpose... sorta like the unholy trinity of of anarchism and patriotism unified under one non-American flag.. but... what's really new?

Fortunately, patriotic Americans are still in support of the best president... ever.

UPDATE! Online headline/story: "Farm that hired Cristhian Rivera, Mollie Tibbetts' suspected killer, did not use E-Verify system, official says * However, Yarrabee Farms co-owner and manager Dane Lang clarified Wednesday afternoon that the farm did not use a federal E-Verify check on suspect Cristhian Rivera, despite the company's claim earlier in the day that it did." -- First, all Yarrabee Farms employees should be re-vetted and re-submitted to through the E-Verify system. Then the purported original E-Verify transaction for the killer should scrutinized that all protocols were followed "to the T" by Yarrabee Farms and then the government's records for processing it.

I tell you what, listening to politically involved lawyers really solidifies the adage that "99% of lawyers ruin the reputation of the other 1%"

Did some research on concrete block buildings versus metal.. guess the cover was blown on the $312.00 a square foot on the wrestling buildings. No longer will there be ... basically.. a slush fund of unneeded assigned tax dollars... built into the wrestling building projects.. do hope the MCSB will call for a forensic audit of all the SPLOST projects, but especially the wrestling building.

Online headline: "8 dead bodies found on streets of Mexican resort city Cancun" -- You know,, wouldn't surprise me a bit if if Cancun, Mexico and Shicago, IL have a contract as "Sister Cities".

---
Speaking of "sister cities"... when was Columbus, GA's Japan sister city, Kiryu.. Other than in the Mayor's inaugural year, have Kiryu officials bothered to come back?

---
Online headline: "Urban Meyer given three-game suspension, will return as Ohio State football coach" -- Good grief.. Meyer will miss the Oregon, Rutgers, and TCU games.. the only people really punished are the Ohio State Alumni/fans and the TV networks showing any of those games.

HuffPOOPOO headline: "'Felons welcome here' projected on Trump Hotel in DC" -- and all of liberaldom breaks out in titters of glee.. Hey, HuffPOOPOO, how about flashing these words "Felons Gladly Welcomed Here" above EVERY polling precinct in New York, and above the doors of the NY Governors Mansion.. there's where real collusion .. and corruption are in full swing. Oh, and flash them on the city limit signs of every "sanctuary city and state".

From the "I guess the polls in Texas showing a close race are "fake news" department - Online story: "A video of Beto O’Rourke, who is currently a U.S. Representative for Texas’ 16th District but is trying to unseat Senator Ted Cruz, has gone viral since it was posted by NowThis on social media on Tuesday night. * In it, O’Rourke, speaking at a recent town hall event to speak with voters, is asked about the peaceful protests by NFL players and other athletes during the playing of the anthem. The questioner said he finds it “incredibly frustrating” that people are OK with the kneeling. * “My short answer is no; I don’t think it’s disrespectful,” O’Rourke said, drawing applause and cheers of appreciation. * ‘I can think of nothing more American’" -- Obviously the Beto O'Rourke campaign knows the MSM-13 polls are 'fake news", and O'Rourke is trying to rally the illegal alien voters.

Online headline: "Latest WikiLeaks release shows how the CIA uses computer code to hide the origins of its hacking attacks and 'disguise them as Russian or Chinese activity' -- You know.. the whole premise that the Russians, the Chinese or the Iranians want Trump as President is bogus.. None of these countries wanted Trump to win.. they all had Hellary tuned in to their agenda.. Hellary would have extended all the agreements those counties had with Obama (and previously with Bill Clinton).

The attorney Michael Cohen has become victimized by millennials. He's been called on the carpet for possibly being under collateralized on loan apps. Well, when he acquired all those taxi medallions. They WERE worth over $1 Million each . .In NYC, you cannot operate a taxi cab without one, and there are only about 13,500, but..since the creation of Uber and Lyft bringing bringing in 60,000+ 'amateur' competitors that the millennials prefer, the taxi medallions' value have have been cut 80% or more, and medallion owners are reeling from it.. Think about long term independent owners who have owned their medallions for years and have counted on selling them at retirement to live on, and now, too, they are struggling with seeing their plans go up in smoke. The only difference is some bankers who have been more than satisfied with their relationship with Michael Cohen in the past, running scared at bank regulators going after them because Cohen's loans are now under-collateralized.

Facebook claims it is removing pages that originate in Russia and Iran that are trying to manipulate American voters..personally, I'm tickled...I cannot imagine Russia or Iran trying to get more Conservatives elected...Let's face it, Russia and Iran would much rather deal with DIMocrat-Socialists.

Online story: "Georgia now has significantly more economic development prospects eying the state than it has in past years, Gov. Nathan Deal told the Rotary Club of Atlanta on Monday. * "We now have 20 good prospects, each of them going to bring an average of 850 new jobs to our state,” Deal told a room packed with Atlanta business leaders. * That’s up from an average of two or three similar-sized business prospects per year, he said." -- And I don't see... "feel".. Columbus in this picture...could it possibly... simply... be all the animosity that our City and Legislative officials show state and legislative officials?

---
M/C L-E headline: "Three sentenced in brutal assault on Columbus woman" -- Without going any further than the headline, I am on record as saying unless all three three of the animals did not get the death sentence, this this is another "jury fail" and Columbus citizens can have no other complaints with our Police Department. Now I will read the rest of the story..
Sadly.. my suspicions have been confirmed.. we will be feeding the animals the rest of their lives.. and lawyers will pick our wallets with appeal after appeal after appeal... while the victims lives out her life knowing those animals will probably be around the day she breathes her last breath.. shame on the system!

Yesterday, I passed on the story about John Elway's Denver team offering a more than satisfactory contract to KaeperPRICK.. and that KaeperPRICK's attorney wanted that not to be published.. mainly because it totally destroys his claim of collusion by the NFL.. If I ever watch another NFL game, the first one will be Denver game... even though I'm PO's that Denver did offer KaeperPRICK a deal.

Hey, Amy Bryan.. the runoff's been a month ago.. get your signs of Chamber businesses..

Wednesday, August 22, 2018

It's bad enough that the Mueller inquisition has cost so much not to get any better results it did than for a jury to reject more charges than it agreed with, but what's even worse is the fact that none of the jury's convictions were connected to Manafort's time with Trump.. Oh, and that the MSM-13 showed the the reality of this by pretty much ignoring the discovery of Mollie Tibbetts' body .. and illegal alien killer.

---
Learned something else "new" yesterday about the MCSD practice wrestling buildings being built.. Now it seems concrete block will be the choice for the exterior walls rather than "metal" as was the premise. Imagine a 60' x 40' building with 20' high walls concrete block walls... those are going to look more light prison guard towers than school buildings.

Oh, forgot to mention that on his past Monday (Aug 20th), it's now been 13 weeks since Zeph Baker has not kept his promise to turn in his REQUIRED campaign disclosure forms. Hey, Zeph Baker... "It's TIME!"

From the "bias? what bias?" department - Online headline/story: "Mollie Tibbetts case: Undocumented immigrant charged with murder of missing Iowa student * Mollie Tibbetts, a University of Iowa student who was last seen during an evening jog a month ago, was believed to have been found dead and an undocumented immigrant has been charged with her murder, authorities said on Tuesday. -- "undocumented immigrant"? Will someone tell NBC.. and the rest of MSM-13... that the Obama administration has left the White House, and now we .. and they should.. reference persons form other countries who are not "documented" are considered... and called... ILLEGAL aliens? Oh, and someone please tell MSM-13, that the "illegal alien" TOOK authorities to her dead body and CONFESSED to her murder..

From the "let's parse this a bit" department - Online headline/story: "Chicago-area manufacturer is laying off 153 workers and moving to Mexico partly because of Trump's tariffs * Stack-On Products, a manufacturer of storage products like gun safes and metal cabinets, will lay off 153 workers in their Chicago-area plants and move those operations to its plant in Mexico * Al Fletcher, the human resources director at Stack-On's parent company, told the Tribune that the decision to close the plants was made two months ago. While Fletcher said the plant's unprofitability was a major piece of the reason for the layoffs, the final decision was only made following the imposition of tariffs." -- Hmmm.. as reported by "the human resources director"? Aside from the plant ALREADY BEING UNPROFITABLE BEFORE THE ANNOUNCED TARIFFS, since when do directors of human resources make and publish financial decisions? What I would expect from a Shicago area Human Resources director is that he was having extreme turnover rates from workers leaving on Friday's and showing up in the Shicago morgue on Monday morning.

From the "it's not that America hasn't been great, it's Cuomo who hasn't" department - Online headline story: "Cuomo pardons immigrant man hours before his deportation hearing * Harveys Gomez, 39 who lives in the Bronx, has been in federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement since October. * Gomez was busted in 2009 on drug sale charges and spend six months in jail. He was also given five years probation, which he completed. * "New York will always fight to protect the immigrant community from the federal government's targeted attacks on our values,” Cuomo said. " -- Good grief, American laws are in place to protect immigrant communities, BUT, how can one protect the "immigrant communities" if it allows ILLEGAL aliens to run rampant committing crimes inside those communities? This just fits in with Cuomo's "blanket restoration" of 35,000 felons "voting rights" and his desire to give voting rights to the illegal aliens in NY. You know.. if we build "the WALL" around California AND New York, we could get back to our beautiful 48 star flag.

---
I tell you what.. if California and Mew York want illegal aliens to vote in their elections, neither should be allowed to have Senators or Representatives in Washington, or have votes in the election of our president.

From the "and the truth will set you....OFF" department - Online headline/story: Colin Kaepernick's lawyer: John Elway violated gag order in collusion case * Last week, Denver Broncos general manager John Elway talked with media about the prospect of signing Colin Kaepernick in light of the team’s struggles at backup quarterback. * “Well, you know what, and I said this a while ago, Colin had his chance to be here,” Elway said. “We offered him a contract. He didn’t take it.” * Elway was referring to failed 2016 trade discussions with the San Francisco 49ers that Kaepernick nixed when he was asked to take a a pay cut from $11.9 million to $7 million." -- Hmmm.. so KaeperPRICK had an offer to play bit turned it down... looks like his "collusion" claim has been dealt a "knee"... to his groin..Who turns down a $437.000.00 PER GAME contract for being the back up QB on a pro football team.. heck, he probably wouldn't even get his jersey dirty in most games, but would get paid MORE PER GAME than real NFL Star Jim Brown earned in his ENTIRE 9 year career as a star running back for the Browns?

Seems the DIMocrats are developing a slogan similar to Trump's "Promises Made, Promises Kept"...well with a little variance..."Promises Made but Never Kept Before but we're asking you to Trust us again"

---
From the "tale of Two Parties" department -- Online story: "Tuesday was a lucky day for Imran Awan, the former IT administrator for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla. A federal judge sentenced him to three months of supervised release and no fine for one count of bank fraud – sparing him any jail time. * Awan could have faced much more serious charges and a long prison sentence if he had been tried and convicted on accusations that he ran a spy ring inside Congress and stole congressional computer equipment." -- Wow! A KNOWN foreign SPY who continued to work for Debbie Washerwoman Schultz, head of the DNC at the time, AFTER he was exposed.. he gets zero time in jail while Paul Manafort will get jail time for committing bank fraud.. What a difference when DIMocrat operatives gets caught with their pants down, and what's happening to Manafort.. and, ironically, on the same day...

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "Boy, 12, charged in attempted rape of girl, 8 * The boy wasn’t old enough to be charged as an adult under Senate Bill 440. Georgia law enforcement may try teens ages 13 to 16 as an adult in offenses called the “seven deadly sins.” The charges include aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, rape, armed robbery, voluntary manslaughter and murder." -- This must make parents of girls very relaxed... NOT! Tell you what though, the 12 year old boy IS old enough to be "gender re-assigned".... today doesn't seem too soon!

---
Online headline: "Granite memorial to honor remains found in slave burial site, UGA says" -- Once again, the inseparable intertwined history comes to light as a reminder of the past..it can be either..an anchor..holding us all back..or a beacon lighting up the future path of oneness for all Americans.

---
A question : What's the end goal of the current racist movements to desegregate history? Our past is entwined tightly and no amount of rewriting can change what was, just as no separation can help in the future. Dr. King's dream was for all if us to use ..accept..the past as a way to respect each other moving forward.

---
M/C L-E headline: "Over 100 suspects in Columbus facing a total of 301 charges after ‘Operation Street Sweep’ -- Now, what I really want to know is how many were also charged with violations of parole or probation.. Theoretically, those should not have been out on the street committing more crimes.

---
You know, we still haven't heard anything from any Council volunteering to let Columbus voters know whether the mayor was involved in a reputed fender-bender with a prisoner transport vehicle.. Surely one of them might want to assure the taxpayers that they are concerned and knowledgeable of the issues that affect us daily.

---
From the "love it when DIMocrats 'eat their own'" department - Online headline/story: "Bernie Sanders supporter protesting right-wing rally with American flag beaten up by Antifa, video shows * A registered Democrat and Bernie Sanders supporter protesting a right-wing rally in Oregon earlier this month says he was viciously beaten by militant members of his own movement because he possessed a "fascist symbol" -- an American flag." -- Well.. is this "truth" doesn't set you free from the DIMocrat Party, you are not qualified to get a voter ID card.

---
Good grief....DIMocrat spinmeisters are trying to condemn Supreme Court nominee Kavanaugh based on questions he proposed to ask Bill Clinton about what Clinton did with/to Monica Lewinsky in the White House, yet none of the DIMocrats ever seemed too concerned about what Clinton actually did to the 20-something intern Lewinsky... IN THE WHITE HOUSE!

---
From the "it's more than ironic" department - the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition calls our ICE/Border Patrol agents "Nazis" (among other derogatory names), yet this week.our brave and courageous Patriots deported a REAL Nazi back to Germany for prosecution for his war crimes. Thank you ICE...and President Trump!

Hey, Cuomo! Here's another "undocumented immigrant" that you can PARDON! Good luck with this...

---
Online headline: "Chicago police chief blames city violence on lenient judges and prosecutors" -- Hmmm.. seems the Shicago Police Chief missed a couple of other reasons.. such as the laws the Council and Legislators passed to keep law abiding American CITIZENS from being able to arm and defend themselves as they walk along the streets of Shicago.

---
Online headline/story: "Online headline: "Ocasio-Cortez raises eyebrows after citing national park as example of Democratic socialism * The overnight Democratic superstar, who rose out of obscurity after beating Rep. Joe Crowley, D-NY, in June’s primary, has been widely mocked for a number of gaffes and misstatements she has made on a subsequent media and campaign tour. * That mockery looked set to continue this week after she took a leisurely stroll through Maine’s Acadia National Park, and declared it -- along with other benign Sunday stops -- an example of democratic socialism." -- You know.. in a disturbing way.. there is a little truth in her words... the government took over from a lot of privately funded parks and decided only the government could feed the animals, and American citizens can only enter with government permission and fees.

---
From the "suspicions confirmed" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "Nancy Pelosi Makes Fun Of GOP Leader For Not Understanding How Twitter Works" -- Hmmm.. so Nancy admits she's a "big twit"...Good grief, Pelosi doesn't even know how our economy or jobs market works!

---
M/C L-E headline/story: "‘No one can tell me what beauty is.’ MCSD board hears sexual harassment claim against Myers. * Reese, who was the chamber’s community development and growth director before becoming director of buzz at Yalla Public Relations in January, announced July 19 on her Facebook page that she is “actively pursuing time on the next school board meeting agenda to discuss this face to face with Frank. Ultimately, I believe he should step down from his seat early and allow the empty seat to be a reflection of the zero tolerance for sexual harassment and bullying in the Muscogee County School District.”" -- Hmmm .. ironically, Ms Reese believes Frank Myers should be censured for expressing himself politically and not be allowed to be on the MCSB... yet she felt it "OK" for her to express her political opinions and felt it "OK" for a current taxpayer paid employee to be allowed to run for a "conflict-of-interest" Council seat.. Looks like a "nothing-burger" to me...

---
Online headline/story: "Hogg To 'Old' Pelosi: 'Move The F*** Off...And Let Us Take Control' * "Hogg frequently uses the word narcissistic in reference to himself." * "Nancy Pelosi is old," Hogg said in the interview. "Older Democrats just won’t move the f*** off the plate and let us take control.-- and in another story today, Hogg announced he would "Run for Congress" when he gets old enough (age 25). I'm sure he'll whistle a different tune when he has to win over "older Democrat" women just to get a nomination, Does this not perfectly demonstrate how out of touch the DIMocrats are with America?

---
Oh! Al Gore was in North Carolina on Sunday and Monday to speak on behalf of the Poor People’s Campaign, which names “ecological devastation” as one of the problems hurting poor people.....hmm, does Gore actually know any poor people?

---
Online headline: "Nazis and anti-Semites slip through GOP primaries, causing headaches for party" -- You know, it never seemed to bother the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition that, Sen Robert Byrd, among others, was a KKK member, nor former DIMocrat GA Governor Lester Maddox sold ax handles to promote his restaurants policy of segregation ,or for Hellary, and Schumer to embraced Byrd .. oh, and Strom Thurmond?

---
Online headline/story: "California kids can kiss their soda good-bye as kooky law aims to ban yet another thing liberals don't like * In the latest episode of “Banished!” by the People’s Republic of California, Governor Jerry Brown is likely to sign a bill that prohibits restaurants from offering anything other than milk or water with their kids’ meals, under the pretense of preventing obesity. * Effectively they’re telling parents they’re not capable of being trusted with their children’s health. It’s Big Brother Knows Best vs. mom and dad." -- Huh! It's always been the DIMocratic Party to be about being "Big Brother"..

Monday, I got a "recall" notice from my recent car purchase.. Seems VW misstated an emissions claim on cars like mine, and .. the Government says I have to take my car in in and let the VW dealer remove the existing "emissions label" and replace it with a new one.. and I have to do it BEFORE I can renew my license/registration next year. You know, Trump is winning over more and more American citizens and business owners by removing obstinate and costly and inconvenient regulations ordered by the Obama Administration.. he just hasn't gotten to this one.. one that could be fixed simply by VW sending me the replacement label that I could simply take 2 minutes of my time to place over the existing one..

---
M/C L-E story: "County election officials across Georgia say it’s too late to switch to paper ballots in the upcoming elections, despite warnings that hackers could easily penetrate the state’s antiquated electronic voting system and that Russia could unleash a new wave of disruptive cyberattacks." -- You know.. we welcomed electronic balloting when we found out that we could eliminate "back room ballot stuffing practices" that had pervaded into our elections... why would we want to return to such an antiquated method? And, can someone give me 1 valid reason any Russian would care about hacking into he State's election system... much less the Muscogee County election system?

How does Council just dismiss $50,000.00+/- dollars in penalties on taxes not paid for several years? Perhaps had the principle been paid on time, some of the necessary repairs to the Government Center could have been made in a timely manner. Must be nice to be a "Friend of Local Politicians". To boot, now that the empty motel has been torn down, the City will also take a hit on next years tax receipts as well.

---
You know, those $750,000.00 SPLOST authorized 60' X 40' metal building PRACTICE wresting facilities I've been complaining about as being way over reality in costs *$312.00 a sq ft).. Well, the MCSD has found a way to let out contracts at an even HIGHER price.. remember as well, that the MCSD has no additional costs in land, WE already owned the land.

To boot, as a member of the 2015 SPLOST Citizens Committee, I asked the architect on February 18th if a site had been decided on to build the one at Columbus High.. I had concerns since the property is pretty much filled with structures, and using the parking lots was not going to "fly" since the MCSD had just spent $935,000.00 adding some new ones to help with the shortage of parking. We were told.. in a definitive tone, "NO." Well, yesterday, I found out that two days later (Feb 20, 2018), the contract to build it was approved by the MCSB.. Does anyone know of a synonym for "LIE" that doesn't sound so pathetic?

Also, where are the extra &75,000.00 in SPLOST funds being diverted from? And where are such funds getting "funded"..the collections are running on a minus $23,000,000.00 shortfall (12% of the asked for $199 MILLION) over the maximum collection period which is in it's last 2 year period. We taxpayers must demand better treatment. Our legislators need to revise protocol for elections...our local elections and any/all referendums must be moved back to the November General Election date, or Columbus will continue to drown in economic chaos.

---
Speaking of "drowning", a Columbus liquor store in a very active shopping complex is packing it in...it's always sad when a local business.. chain or independent... decides the retail conditions in Columbus are not favorable looking for the future.. but when a liquor store folds... mmmmm.. remember in "It's a Wonderful Life" when Jimmy Stewart was "dreaming" and his town had become Pottersville... the only thriving business were the liquor ones.. bet no liquor stores closed in that town.

---
The City of Columbus has set 18" as an acceptable height property owners can allow their grass to grow before any action can be taken.. 18" .. sorta sounds innocuous ... until you realize that's 1/4th the height of a 6' person... or that an infant could crawl into such.. and get lost... or that someone could dump a body in it and it would be weeks for the City to locate it? It's also a nightmare for neighbors that take responsibility for their property. Perhaps it's time for Council to revisit the allowable height .. at least in residential areas and along main arteries that visitors to our City will travel through...

---
M/C L-E headline: "Third flooding incident at Government Center leaves ‘minor’ damage to three floors" -- I hope the mayor doesn't call the plumbing crew that built her $244K Queen TeeTee lounge at the RiverWalk

Also sounds like the back flow preventers installed have another victim..
US!

Oh! Well, I guess the swim teams inconvenienced by the Natatorium repairs can use their memberships at the Government Center on rainy days.

---
My BCers do keep an extra eye out for Columbus...Such as parsing our current slogan:
"Columbus...We Do Amazing". It looks more and more like a waste of nearly $100,000.00.. Maybe Council (and a 2-for-one for the MCSD) will adopt this free suggestion for our replacement "slogan":  "Build it...and we won't maintain it".

---
My BCers are the best...one just passed on a terrific idea of how to drive home the point that the NFL doesn't want to address..Many if us already are boycotting the NFL because of the flag, vets, and country protesters, but make it a point to really stand strong on November 12th.. that's Veterans Day weekend. Put the word out to your Co-workers/employees... if you eat out, ask management to change the channels to non-NFL events...and if they don't, walk out.. let's really hit the owners..and sports networks where it hurts..in their wallets.

---
Wow! MSM-13 and the DIMocrat Socialist Party are still locked in a collusive relationship.. North and South Korean families, after decades of separation, are being reunited because of President Trump, and not a peep from them congratulating Trump for his efforts.

---
You know, with all the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalitions focus and interest being on collusion, why aren't the names of Hellary, Obama, Holder, and Lynch in every mornings' headlines?

---
The one question MSM-13 never asks..nor seeks to answer is why would the Russians want Trump as President? Hellary was already in their hip pocket on the uranium deal, and they already knew she would respond the same way as Obama had on issues in Croatia and the Middle-East, and certainly was no friend of Israel or moving the Embassy to Jerusalem.

---
M/C L-E headline: "City threatens to demolish historic Columbus building that recently changed ownership" -- Good grief.. the City sat on it's ... uh... "hands" and watched the slow demise of another historical building owned by the MCSD, then pounced on a person who bought it with plans to do something constructive with the property.. Davis' plans for the old Bibb School must not have fit in with the Mayor's T.A.D. plans. Glad the L-E publicized this action and gotten the public better informed.

---
Online headline: "Four people killed, nearly 60 shot this weekend across Chicago" -- In a 10 day period, 172 people were shot..24 fatally. Ain't Shicago grand...we have to wonder if the Obamas will even show up for the dedication of his Presidential Library...Oh, has anyone learned where he plans to keep his birth and school records?

---
Hmmm : Maybe Governor Cuomo feels that New York IS America to him...in that case, I agree...New York has not been great in his lifetime...and will not become so.

---
Looks like the DIMocrats primary strategy is to convince America Trump's tax cuts and increased jobs is not in their best interest as inflation cuts into the gain..Of course the DIMocrat's strategy doesn't mention that their 2008-2016 strategy of doubling the National Debt, devaluing the dollar, and forcing a mandatory healthcare farce on employers that caused full time jobs to be reduced to less than 30 hours was what they felt that the American family deserved.... and wants the American people to vote for a return to that era. To paraphrase Alvin and the Chipmunks "Christmas Classic", Hurry November .. hurry fast.

---
Hey...what's the status of the body pulled out of the Chattahoochee River a couple of weeks ago...the one sent to the GBI to examine whether the injury to the back of his head was received before or after he was in the water. While a complete autopsy may or may not have been done, an exam to determine whether the injury to his head was before or after he entered the water IS important as if it WAS a murder, delay is a detriment to justice.

From the "where's Paul Harvey.. we needed the 'rest of the story'..first" department - Remember yesterday's outrage by the MSM-13/DIMocrat Coalition about the illegal alien arrested while driving his pregnant wife to a hospital for C-Section surgery? As usual. there was no research done. Here's the followup headline/story:

"Official: Man detained in US wanted for murder in Mexico * U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said over the weekend that Joel Arrona Lara was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant in a homicide case in Mexico, * An official of the Mexican state of Guanajuato on Monday confirmed the warrant. The official spoke anonymously because the official was not authorized to be quoted by name and could not say when the crime occurred, but said it was an intentional homicide case akin to a U.S. murder charge. Mexican officials are prohibited by law from revealing criminal case details for fear of compromising ongoing investigations or depriving suspects of the presumption of innocence."

Last Man Standing's Tim Allen is the voice of hose mesmerizing "Pure Michigan" ads.. With his show being revitalized on the Fox Channel this Fall, the Republicans might want to hire him to do political ads for Michigan election this November and in November 2020.

---
Sadly, the speed of the internet has compromise journalism to the point that .. as Trump says.. we get too mus-ch "fake news" because journalist shoot from the hip rather than take careful aim to make sure the target is what they want to shoot at. I sue to know so many dedicated and conscientious journalists.. now I don't think there is one left on network or most cable news channels.

---
M/C L-E headline: "Hotel developer has big plans for historic downtown riverfront site" -- I guess it's about time.. I do remember back 30/35 +/- years ago ago when Joe Richards TRIED to acquired the same mill and open up a restaurant there... Columbus turned it's back on him... sad...

Let it not go unnoticed that Mississippi State is ranked 18th in the AP preseason college football poll! HAIL STATE!

Monday, August 20, 2018

From the "Bias? What bias?" department - Online story: "(According to the New York Times), Trump has made several moves which could be seen as trying to control or limit the investigation into Russian interference in the election, such as firing FBI Director James Comey" -- First, any "investigation" should have a focus point and goal, this includes "journalistic investigations" as well as prosecutorial ones. Secondly, the New York Times still cannot deal with the fact that Comey was fired for .. well, basically, sedition in Trump's and the American people's eyes.

---
From the "and your point is?" department - Online headline: "Baffled Titanic expert says luxury ship should not have sunk after iceberg impact" -- "should not have sunk after iceberg impact"? Well... it DID! This "expert" must be trying to get a job on either the Mueller or the Hellary "ship" to explain to New York Times "What Happened" when they sank themselves.

---
Wow... MSM-13 is complaining that Trump's Cabinet is too wealthy to be in touch with the American people. DOH! I do believe the American people are breathing easier.. and better knowing SUCCESSFUL business and military leaders are helping guide America versus the sycophants the Community Organizer surrounded himself from 2008-2016.

---
Final words on the "Drag Queen" reading issue - actually, the uproar was not over reading books to children, it was about the cartoonish approach. Fortunately, stories were read and the saner heads realized that it was better communication of a life style that more "normal" attire was a better route to a purpose and goal..

M/C L-E headline/story: "Teen faces 12 counts of criminal gang charges after arrest during traffic stop * A teen faces gang participation charges after the vehicle he was driving failed to use a turn signal Friday from Armour Road to Airport Thruway, Columbus police said. * Jeremy Hildebrand, 18, of Columbus was taken into custody without incident during the 10:35 p.m. traffic stop where he didn’t have a state driver’s license. He was wanted on outstanding warrants that included 12 counts of participation in criminal gang activity, one count of kidnapping, hijacking a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He is held without bond in the Muscogee County Jail on the serious charges for a hearing in Recorder’s Court" -- This is not about an 18 year old being stopped for a blinker violation and being found not to have a driver's license.. it's about an 18 year old .. well, a convicted felon who's 18...and how..why...was an 18 year-old convicted felon already out of jail. Society cannot survive when felons know an arrest is just basically a temporary glitch in their lives. It's also about the M/C L-E referring to an already convicted felon being referred to as a "teen".. this "man" voluntarily gave up his childhood a long time ago.

---
With all the potholes I see when going about my routines, I wonder if there is more than 1 man/crew that is responsible for repairing them.. It is so rare to see any repairs being made that I'd like to know if anyone else has seen any getting fixed in the last month.

---
Online headline: "Top 2020 Democrats under fire for 'collective bashing of America' after Cuomo gaffe" -- As I think about November of 2020, I first think about the lack of a positive message that even DIMocrats, much less all Americans can rally behind...but then I realize that this is not the main flaw in the DIMocrats' strategy...the main issue is that the DIMocrats just don't have a positive messenger.

M/C L-E story: "The Columbus Historic District, with its unique architecture and close proximity to downtown, is a natural for Airbnb rentals for visitors to the city, be it an entire house, a small cottage or bungalow, or a quiet bedroom. * The Columbus Historic District, with its unique architecture and close proximity to downtown, is a natural for Airbnb rentals for visitors to the city, be it an entire house, a small cottage or bungalow, or a quiet bedroom. * Columbus is moving toward regulating the popular online lodging marketplace called Airbnb, which connects individuals wishing to rent their home, cottage or bedroom to those visiting the city and needing a place to stay. * The city’s Finance Department, along with the Building Inspections and Code Enforcement Department, has developed recommendations to amend a unified development ordinance that would require short-term property renters — referred to as hosts by Airbnb — to complete a number of steps before doing business. * The amended ordinance also would require short-term rental properties to have proper insurance, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and an exit escape plan in place for guests staying in rental homes. Hosts also would be required to have no unpaid financial obligations to the city before renting, while also notifying property owners of the rentals taking place should the host not own the dwelling themselves. * The new requirements received a mostly cold shoulder from the Columbus Planning Advisory Commission on Aug. 1. Eight members unanimously denied its approval of the ordinance change along the lines that it was being somewhat heavy-handed and placing another layer of regulation and costs on what now is simply a cottage industry in the city." -- The Planning Advisory Commission has this nailed.. This isn't a "Craig's List" operation.. Just to get approved to rent through AirBNB is pretty demanding, and I imagine AirBNB's requirements for hosts are even stricter. Once again, this sort of exposes why Columbus' economic ills have skyrocketed under the Mayor. It also explains why hotel rates are so high in Columbus for value.
Oh.. and why not give the AirBNB hosts a hand to justify all the nickle&dime fees and regulations.. How about fixing the STREETS so visitors don't leave with such a negative memory of what it's like in Columbus...

M/C L-E headline: "Target takes heat for dropping popcorn and Icees, while Starbucks fans rejoice" -- I don't know who does the marketing for Target .. or Starbucks, but Target is losing big time with my family..The main reasons my family shops at all in Targets is for prescriptions, but we can now get those at any other CVS Pharmacy and our granddaughter.. Our granddaughter loves the Icees and Popcorn trips there with her grandparents and her mother and aunts.. It's been an oft-planned "venture" that now is being replaced by trips through the Burger King across the street for an Icee drink which we take home, pop some Orville Reddenbacher popcorn and have an even better experience than doing this at Targets.. Oh, and at a minimum, the new Starbucks will basically cannibalize the existing Starbucks across the street as well. Now Targets has less to draw us in... Hmmm... I can live with this..

---
From the "Terrorism 101" department - M/C L-E story: "The judge in the death-penalty trial of those accused of helping to carry out the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks in the U.S. has ruled that prosecutors may not use key FBI interrogations conducted at the Guantánamo detention center soon after years of CIA black site abuse ended. * Under the war court system, confessions must be voluntary. So prosecutors had already pledged not to use what the captives told their CIA interrogators. Instead, prosecutors had planned to have FBI agents describe what the suspects told them soon after their 2006 transfers to Guantánamo." -- Good grief.. "confessions MUST be voluntary"? If I get attacked by a rabid dog, I am not going to try to win him over with an exclamation of, "Nice doggie.. good boy.. here smell my hand.. do you want a treat?... No, I'm going to pick up whatever is handy and beat the pulp out of it.. this was not a misdemeanor crime, this was a suckerpunch act of terrorism!

---
M/C headline: "A year after Charlottesville, there still is no progress" -- Yep.. MSM-13 is still ignoring and justifying the crimes of the antifa.

---
Did I see Council make a "no call" (so far) on enforcing the penalty for unpaid taxes on a major piece of commercial property at 2800 Manchester Expressway? Look like zero dollars of the 2016 and 2017 tax bills have been paid and are delinquent, and the 2018 tax bill has been sent.

---
Oh... and has Council ever raised the rent on property that the Mariott uses for parking (Parcel ID 003 014 002) that the Pezold's objected to Council selling? I believe the Pezolds felt it was worth $1.3 MILLION vs the $50K . Seems like the City is not maximizing the value of it's property,, especially considering it's assigned to the Development Authority which is a y=taxpayer funded entity.. OH,, is the Development Authority on the short-list of next City Departments to be audited?

---
From the "I have a suggestion as well" department - Online story: "Special Counsel Robert Mueller recommended in a court filing on Friday that a judge sentence former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos to up to six months in prison for lying to agents investigating Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election." -- Hmmm... and I'd like to recommend..that Mueller and his cohorts be sentenced to a special place in Hell for what they have put our country through.

---
From the "maybe she should re-title her book" department - Online story: "Manigault Newman has made clear that she plans to continue selectively releasing the pieces of evidence if President Donald Trump and his associates continue to attack her credibility and challenge the claims in her book, "Unhinged." * "Unhinged" has spent the past few days at No. 2 on Amazon.com's best-seller list, trailing only Rachel Hollis' lifestyle book "Girl, Wash Your Face." - Hmmm... so, her "book" is "Number 2".. How appropriate.. a "book" about "number 2" being "number 2".. Maybe she should change the title to get a shot at the lead.. How about "Girl, Wash Your Mouth Out With Soap". Of course, I guess it really doesn't matter since we aren't going to be watching, but it still won't help the NFL regain respect.

---
Online headline: "ESPN won't air anthem before Monday Night Football games, returning to prior practice" -- So... ESPN says it just won't show the National Anthem during the NFL pregame portion ..good grief..ESPN will be disrespecting our veterans, military, and law enforcement officers even more than the random pl@yers.

---
You know...how can MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition not feel good about more people working, and more people having more money in their pockets? Hmmm.. now that I think about it, with more people working and having more money in their pockets, the MSM-13/DIMocrat coalition isn't really relevant anymore.

---
Think about what the Boston Globe did trying to bully Trump and the entire US Senate. The Globe colluded with 300 media outlets and got them all to run an anti-Trump opinion piece on the same day. This is not the guarantee that the Founding Fathers gave to the press in the 1st Amendment... No, the Founding Fathers wanted to protect the Freedom of the Press, not COLLUSION of the Press!

---
Maybe progress has been made.. When Cuomo said "America has never been great", MSM-13 not only basically ignored it, MSM-13 did not try to correct him by saying that Obama, Clinton, and Carter eras were exceptions.

---
Wow! I see Jehmu Greene...the woman who claimed Columbus' own Calvin Smyre groped her body in an elevator at the 1996 (film at 11:00) DIMocrat National Convention is back on the Fox News circuit. She looks vindicated and revitalized. Sounds like she may have gotten some "satisfaction" for her claim and troubles. I have wondered why Smyre hasn't been actively clearing his name.

---
Online headline: "Judge in Manafort trial says he's been threatened over case" -- You know, MSM-13 wanting the jurors names is tantamount to bullying and intimidation at a minimum...and more likely jury tampering.

---
Online headline: "GOP bill would let asylum seekers apply in Mexico, in bid to ease immigration court backlog" -- Good grief! Just BUILD the WALL Let Mexico feed and house them on its side of the border while each does the proper paperwork.

---
Online headline: "Ocasio-Cortez bans press from covering campaign event" -- Freedom of the Press? Ocasio-Cortez is banning them, but also remember when Hellary had her campaign staff literally "lasso" a 'herd' of reporters to keep them under control during her campaign.

---
MSM-13 just does not realize that supporting the Socialist_DIMocrat agenda towards overturning the 2nd Amendment is pretty much like signing their own death warrant.. Once the 2nd Amendment is violated, the 1st Amendment will be toast, also.

---
Colorado traffic jams are rumored to have become an unintended consequence of legalized recreational marijuana.. seems drivers at "STOP" signs want to wait until they see "GO" before moving.

Online headline/story: "DOJ's Bruce Ohr wrote Christopher Steele was 'very concerned about Comey's firing -- afraid they will be exposed' * A collection of Justice Department official Bruce Ohr's emails, texts and handwritten notes, reviewed by Fox News, reveals that he was deeply connected to the unverified Steele dossier as well as its author and, during the presidential election campaign, the alleged government surveillance abuses involving a Trump campaign official. * The dossier, which was used by federal officials to justify the surveillance of a top Trump aide, Carter Page, was created by Fusion GPS and paid for by Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee." -- These are not patriots... they are a cabal making acts of sedition as as defined by Congress in 1918.

From the "truth will set you free" department - Online headline/story: "Trump blames DC pols for delayed military parade, says he'll buy jet fighters instead and go to Paris * He then said he’ll instead “attend the big parade already scheduled at Andrews Air Force Base on a different date, & go to the Paris parade, celebrating the end of the War, on November 11th.” -- Remember earlier stories (from "unknown officials who wanted anonymity) that put the blame on it possibly costing over $90 MILLION? Now it's revealed that the local Washington mayor/council wanted $21.6 MILLION us allow it..Typical DIMocrat inability to see the big picture of how much economic impact the parade will bring annually , and how many Americans who would attend who'd never "take a knee" to disrespect out military and flag.

Online headline: "Georgia sets multiple labor records in July * State’s unemployment rate dips below 4 percent for the first time in more than 15 years" * At the same time, Georgia set records for jobs, labor force and number of employed residents as the state’s economy continued to boom" * “Georgia, like the nation, is in a period of continued economic growth,” the commissioner said. “We continue to set records in all the key metrics. This is a great time to live and work in Georgia.” -- Hmmm... Impressive as these numbers are, GA would have SHINED if it didn't have to include Columbus in the mix...

I really wish details would be written about that show why some local Columbusites are so interested in building a new Interstate connecting Columbus to Augusta.. The real important connections are getting Columbus connected to Savannah where major port improvement are making Savannah a huge trade center, and to Montgomery, AL/Meridian, MS so we are connected to Texas and beyond..

From the "let this be a lesson learned" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "More than $80K in private donations will be used to repair Heritage Park * A downtown Columbus city park that has fallen into disrepair is about to be restored to its original glory, thanks to more than $80,000 in private money that has been raised for the effort. * It was built in the late 1990s in a combined effort by two local nonprofit organizations, the Historic Columbus Foundation and Uptown Columbus Inc. More than $2.2 million in private funds were raised to build the park * The park opened in October 1999 and was given to the city, which now owns and maintains it. " -- "given to the City which now owns and maintains it"? Good grief.. needing $80,000 in private funds to repair what hasn't been maintained should be the reason the next Council Review should amend our charter that the City cannot accept privately constructed projects .. well, unless an permanent endowment be included for perpetual care.. Heritage is neither the first nor will be the last Columbus taxpayers are saddled with debts from donated projects.. just look at the Softball Stadium.. it was built with a lot of private donations (about $2.4 Million as I remember, and now the Columbus Sports Authority says it'll take over TWICE that amount ($5.6 Million) to repair what had been neglected for LACK of maintenance.. Oh. and let's not forget the latest "gift" to the City by the now defunct "Together 2016/17" group.. that "exercise park" near the RiverWalk..yep, we taxpayers are gonna have to replace and repair it. And on another similar subject, the City should make residential developers include a maintenance endowment for the streets they construct then "give" to the City.. what the developers have really given the taxpayers is a lifetime headache of debt to maintain a road that probably barely met minimum standards.

M/C L-E headline: "Jury reaches verdict in case of woman raped, burned" -- Well, don't for get shot, brutalized, and abandoned as well! I just hope the DA's office and judge do not disappoint the courageous woman who endured the crime AND the reliving of it in the Court Room. May all of them be "toast" before the sun sets following sentencing.

M/C L-E headline: "FOODIES CELEBRATE GRAND OPENING OF PHENIX CITY FOOD TRUCK PARK" -- Great event for Columbus.... NOT! All the sales tax revenues go to Phenix City and Alabama, and all the clean-up expenses of the 14th Street Bridge and Chattahoochee River are absorbed by Columbus taxpayers.

From the "now you know why Trump is loved" department - M/C L-E headline: "39 states have budget surpluses, and cities want that money" -- You know, Trump took the bull by the horns and reduced all income taxes UP FRONT so taxpayers would get before politicians did.. now you can see why.. when excess taxes are collected, then politicians feel it belongs to them.. here we have state and local authorities fighting each other for YOUR money!

Online headline: "Brennan is considering legal action to hit back after Trump revoked his security clearance" -- Hmmm... whatta analogy this is.. a big blowhard wolfish pig trying to huff and puff and blow the White House down.

Online headline/story: "Ex-sports doctor Nassar moved to another prison facility * The Federal Bureau of Prisons website on Sunday shows the former Michigan State University and USA Gymnastics doctor is at the Oklahoma Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City. * Nassar's attorneys said last month he was assaulted within hours of being placed in the general population at the Arizona federal prison." -- "assaulted within hours of being placed in the general population"? Well, the only thing better would be if he "had been ASSAULTED for HOURS".. perhaps been "pretzeled" to a position even the best gymnasts cannot achieve.

You know, when you see cars you dreamt of owning when you were growing up, and they are now called "Classics".. you realize that "Classic" is just a "politically correct" word for OLD.

From the "no wonder our young folks are confused" department - Online story: "A sign at a Houston elementary and middle school that sparked criticism on social media has been removed. * The Houston Independent School District says the sign that read, "The more you act like a lady, the more he'll act like a gentleman," was removed Friday night. * The sign was above a row of lockers in a girls' locker room" -- Good grief.. a quote that enforces a needed 'life lesson" that stood older generations well... for centuries... has been deemed misogynistic. SMH..

M/C L-E headline/story: "From the "we cut the grass every 3 weeks whether it needs it or not" department - M/C headline/story: "Overgrown grass along roads, in cemeteries has residents upset * Near J.R. Allen Parkway along Schomburg Road, a Bridlewood resident wants to know who maintains the right of way that’s suddenly filled with overgrown grass and bushes, while a 65-year-old woman is waiting until grass is cut before she attempts to place flowers on relatives graves in Porterdale and East Porterdale cemeteries. * While the city works to cover overgrown grass in neighborhoods, Biegler said the city appreciates people who mow the frontage at their home." -- Hmmm... the City "appreciates people who mow the frontage at their home"? Coulda fooled me..I have my grass on the right-of-way ant our home cut weekly... year-round, and I do not feel the "appreciation" of the City.. on top of my property taxes, the City charges me extra garbage fees, and I've yet to experience any road resurfacing that would make my home more attractive to people wanting to move into our neighborhood and increase the value of our home..

M/C L-E headline/story: "Spoiler alert: State will start building bike trails at Standing Boy Creek in Columbus * “That” was the public meeting last week about the Standing Boy Creek Wildlife Management Area off old River Road in Columbus, currently used primarily for hunting, hiking, running, birdwatching, fishing, all that outdoorsy stuff." -- "Spoiler alert"? Looks more like a "WARNING".. A warning that hunters will soon have moving targets to enhance their experience.. Maybe the state should require bicyclers to buy/wear ORANGE spandex.
