One of my nephews, a National Honor Society student at a prestigious private school, a son of parents and grandparents who were UNC graduates, and the brother of 2 brothers who also graduated from UNC Chapel Hill, was rejected from admittance to UNC at Chapel Hill. No, Dr. Ford did not get into UNC Chapel Hill with "detrimentally affected school work".

It doesn't ring true at all that Feinstein is concerned about ALL reported assaults/abuse..currently, she is ignoring the charges Karen Monahan has brought forward, including police reports, of current DNC co-chairperson Keith Ellison ..Ellison was a Congressman but now is running for the Attorney General.of Minnesota. Looking back....There's a list of states ranked by the percentage of voters who voted in the 2016 election...I was surprised.. even elated.. when I saw that California was in the bottom 20% of states by voter percentage with just 58% of "registered voters" going to the polls. This is significant for future election. This week , another Georgia player did the same hot dog move and only an inconclusive camera angle saved another embarrassing play..in fact, a Mizzu player actually recovered the ball...and ran it back to the other goal, and it could have been a Mizzu TD if the replay ref had a better angle to look at. And Kirby Smart did nothing..if it had been one of my players, I'd gone out, ripped his helmet off, grabbed an ear and dragged him off the field and onto the nearest bus to his home.

Surely "scholarshipping" these 140 Columbus area citizens would have had a local impact far exceeding what will be gained at going out-of-town to an area totally unlike the conditions we have here in Columbus... and the $385,000.00 would have been circulated among local merchants who really need such a shot in the arm.

Dr. Lewis will have to monitor the lights himself to keep coaches from using those lights to get in extra practice time prior to DST.

So far, it's $657.00 per person.. and we haven't added the add ons such as travel/hotel taxes nor dining, so, for computation ease, let's just round up per person costs to $800.00 on the LOW side. For 150 people, we're talking about $120,000.00... and basically it'll all go "poof".. up in smoke.. and mirrors. What would benefit us MOST would be a better political working relationship with like minds in the GA legislature, but that's not going to happen when Columbus cast 60+ percent of it's votes for DIMocrats and have the City Manager's wife as the DIMocrat's "whip" in the GA House. And it would also help if Columbus could get Harris County back into the Valley Partnership, but what benefit does Harris County get from having the DIMocrat "anchor" attached to it's future?

I think the "defense team" should produce all records of payment's received, and all expenses.. especially what they have paid themselves for the last 4 years before any other considerations be made. Then there should be a judicial review to determine if the client's family has received fair value for what they've sacrificed, and whether the information the defense team has accumulated would enable them to mount a justifiable defense to support their client's "not guilty plea". All this should be done BEFORE any tax dollars be allocated.. and if the defense team cannot justify their pre-trial performance, it should be made to reimburse the state for the on going costs.

Hurricane Florence was news.. but CNN was true to it's roots and managed to present it "fakely".. Anderson Cooper is shown in waist high waters... while his support staff walks around 10 yards away with their ankles still showing.. Cooper stood in a catch-basin or ditch. Another reporter, Weather Channel correspondent Mike Seidel , appeared struggling in his head-to-toe rain gear bracing himself against what he tried to portray as a gale like gust of wind... while his support staff and bystanders stood by casually in bermuda shorts. MSM-13 just has an aversion to reporting what' the news really is..

It's MONDAY once again , though I haven't checked this weekend as I've been on a "BEST WEEKEND EVER" trip out of town, I can't imagine anything being any different in Columbus politics than the rest of my Monday blogs..Zeph Baker hasn't complied with the election laws concerning Campaign Disclosure, Amy Bryan hasn't taken down her campaign signs, and Mayor Tom-LYING-son hasn't addressed "the vehicle accident issue".. Well, maybe she'll voluntarily bring this up on Thursday during her "Let's Talk...at them" session. I wouldn't hold my breath about this though, nor bet on that happening.

What a great weekend our family had.. not even counting the mighty wins of both our Bulldog teams, we had a Trifecta of wonderfulness. We went to Fernandina Beach, FL and witnessed, in order, a gender reveal of our next grandchild, the first birthday of our grandson, and ... and the proposal to our middle daughter! I don't believe ANYONE can top this 24 hour time frame!
