From the "and why not...it really makes sense" department - Online headline: "California governor places freeze on executions" -- Good grief.. but only on criminals! California already has "sanctuary" cities, the state, so why not "sanctuary prison/judicial system".. but like I said, it only effects criminals convicted of heinous crimes.. every day citizens going about their everyday lives will still be executed by criminals who aren't going to obey the California gun laws. Hey Nancy Pelosi's nephew... how about just outlawing all crimes in California and criminalize any media reporting of such.. and hen claim California is a "crime free" sanctuary... well, everywhere but inside church sanctuaries..

Lori Loughlin..angel of Hallmark and "Full House" fame, has been charged with a cheating scandal involving college admissions. 300 FBI and IRS agents culminated 10 months of investigation with 46 +/- administrators, coaches, test proctors and parents nationwide who arranged for unqualified students to gain admission to elite schools. I tell you what, if the DOJ/FBI convicts Lori Loughlin but not Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, or Hellary, America will clean house at the next election!

In a related story concerning college admissions scandal - Online headline: 'Huffman cuffed by FBI agents with guns drawn in early morning raid: report" -- Quick.. do a :twitter sweep" and see whether ANY of these elitists ever said a nice word about President Trump!

Online headline: "Dick’s will remove hunting rifles from 125 stores" -- Personally..I think Wall Street is going to need a forensic audit of "Prick's"... not only of the stores' financials, but of the corporate executives as well before resuming trading the stock.

From the "wake up call" department - I do love "lists"... not so much that they are 100% accurate, but they do reflect how the world of academics see us.. especially "lists" relating to education. Today's "list" shows Georgia as the 32nd worst state:

"32. Georgia
High school graduation rate: 79.4% (7th lowest)
Public school spending: $9,742 per pupil (12th lowest)
8th grade NAEP proficiency: 28.4% (math) 30.2% (reading)
Adults with at least a bachelor’s degree: 30.5% (23rd highest)
Adults 25-64 with incomes at or above national median: 48.6% (19th lowest)
Only 79.4% of high school students in the state graduate with a diploma compared the 84.1% of students nationwide. Additionally, both fourth and eighth graders in Georgia are less likely to be proficient in math and reading than in most states."
Hmmm... especially odorous is the deficiency in high school graduation rates, and the 4th grade lack of reading proficiency... 30.2% ... let's face it, lack of reading skills restricts students abilities... likelihoods.. of grasping any other aspect of educational skills needed to be independent as an adult (now to be fair, the top rated state's (MA) NEAP tests of 8th grade NAEP proficiency in reading is only 45.7%, but to be at a 66% level compared to the best shows a nationwide deficiency... and sorta explains why recent generations believe socialism works). Add Georgia's egregious high school graduation rate is even elevated since GA has abolished the "Graduation Test" before handing out diplomas.

Now for an ADDITIONAL "wake up call".. California.. the state with the most Electoral votes and the most representatives in Congress where our laws and direction are generated.. is worse than GA.. well, actually 34 other states, and they want non-Americans to vote on all our issues.

Online story: "ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - Albemarle County school leaders are working to bring more diversity in to the classroom. * Dozens of educators are learning a new teaching method to help reduce the achievement gap between students of different backgrounds and ethnicities. * The idea of the county's program is to use cultural awareness to cater instruction to the individual strengths and needs of each student. * “We have not done the best job that we should be doing in impacting the teaching and learning experiences for our marginalized students,” Bernard Hariston, the county’s assistant superintendent, said." -- You know.. Virginia is about to embark on a downward spiral.. (below is the comparative data for VA and it shows much better results than most states...way better than GA!) Classroom instruction cannot improve if every student has to be "adjusted to" rather than every student every student "adapting to" the teachers.

14. Virginia
High school graduation rate: 86.7% (20th highest)
Public school spending: $10,358 per pupil (15th lowest)
8th grade NAEP proficiency: 37.6% (math) 35.9% (reading)
Adults with at least a bachelor’s degree: 38.1% (6th highest)
Adults 25-64 with incomes at or above national median: 57.0% (9th highest)

M/C L-E headline/story: "First police chief in MCSD history on track to being hired. Here’s his background. * Ten months after the Muscogee County School Board approved establishing a police agency in the Muscogee County School District, Superintendent David Lewis has recommended to the board the person who would be the department’s chief. * District 6 representative Mark Cantrell was the only board member to comment about the recommendation during the work session. * Cantrell also said he is disappointed Lewis select someone who isn’t from Columbus. Lewis reminded Cantrell that the board directed him to seek someone who has experience similar to what this job requires" -- Where to start! In a community that discusses combining the Marshal's Office with the Columbus Police Department to create a better functioning, more efficient law enforcement environment, the MCSD just confused matters even more.. To begin with, why couldn't... why DIDN'T... the MCSD just work with the CPD to have the MCSD pay salaries for a special division (to work "school hours")? Adding INSULT to "injury", Lewis wants to bring in another outsider.. considering that there are tons of qualified law enforcement personnel in the area with either police of military-police credentials, this is an obvious attempt to bring in someone who doesn't know enough about the already existing problems within the MCSD administration. Thank good Mark Cantrell stood up and challenged this move.. it should have been unanimous...

From the "Bias? What bias?" department - Online headline: "Our Idiot President Has Some Thoughts on Planes * by Katherine Krueger * Managing Editor, Splinter" -- Good grief.. some MSM-13 minion calls a successful billionaire businessman, our president, an idiot? I do believe this comment is more of a self-evaluation of MX. Krueger.

Online headline/story: "In New York City schools it's goodbye chicken nuggets, hello bean curd - Thanks, Mayor De Blasio" * Instead of delicious cheeseburgers and pepperoni pizza, the children will have to scarf down roasted chickpea tagine and something called kid-friendly kale salad." -- Hmmm... do you know what "bean curd" is? I didn't but looked it up: Per Wikipedia - "Fermented tofu (also called fermented bean curd, white bean-curd cheese, tofu cheese, soy cheese or preserved tofu) is a Chinese condiment consisting of a form of processed, preserved tofu used in East Asian cuisine. The ingredients typically are soybeans, salt, rice wine and sesame oil or vinegar. " Wow! Now NYC students will have to wonder what carcinogens may be IN their food.. We've heard horror stories involving lead in painted toys, and in medicine 'filler' materials. Now Cuomo is going to have to worry about average citizens moving out of New York, not just the wealthy ones seeking tax relief. Oh.. and "kid-friendly kale salad".. you gotta be kidding..

Online headline: "Amazon, Google, Facebook workers gave $90G to Elizabeth Warren over 8 years" -- Hmmm... makes you think Warren's "attacks" on "big tech" is more 'lip-service' than actual concern.. I imagine big dollar boosts to her campaign will change her ploy.

From the "Elizabeth Barrett Browning, "let me count the ways" department - Online headline/story: "Georgia Democrat pushes 'testicular bill of rights' to parody ‘heartbeat’ abortion bill * A Georgia state lawmaker is drafting legislation banning vasectomies and requiring men to get permission from their sex partners before obtaining a prescription for Viagra or any erectile dysfunction medication. * The legislation would also restrict men's access to pornography and sex toys. * State Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick, a Democrat, says she proposed the legislation to parody a restrictive new abortion bill, known as the 'heartbeat' bill, which was approved by the state’s House of Representatives last week. The legislation bans most abortions after a doctor can detect a heartbeat in the womb" -- I'm really starting to believe there's actually something on the ballot levers next to Democrat politicians' names that affect the "stupidity" level of those who vote Democrat! This legislation, except for the stupidity that husbands must get their spouses permission (usually the wife INITIATES such a move) for a vasectomy, but the other segments she wants banned all have more personal invasion of the LGBTQ community ... especially the "sex toys" and "condom" provisions.

---
I just saw an ad for T-shirts on a liberal's site that read ""A bullet stops a heart beat"... it would be more accurate to say, "An abortionist stops a heart beat".. but why would liberals feel the need to explain their contrary positions?

Online headline/story: "Missing link found? 22-million-year-old monkey species found in Africa * A new species of monkey that lived 22 million years ago in Africa "helps fill a 6-million-year void" in primate evolution, according to a new study. * Identified by its fossilized teeth, the new species, known as Alophia metios, was found in the badlands of northwest Kenya. The teeth may give clues on how their diets helped shape the course of evolution." -- Doesn't the fact that the animal world doesn't have living examples on inter-species transitioning between stages be a good sign that evolutionism theories have serious flaws?

Online headline/story: "Cheney challenges Pence face-to-face over Trump foreign policy * Former Vice President Dick Cheney reportedly challenged Vice President Pence over President Trump’s foreign policy on Saturday, * he Washington Post reports that the two clashed at a closed-door retreat hosted by the American Enterprise Institute in Georgia" -- Wow! MSM-13 will even support their favorite past target when he agrees with leftist agenda as...that ought to sober up RINOs pretty quick.

M/C L-E guest commentary headline: "COMMENTARY * Omar is showing House Democrats how hard it really is to be in charge * BY JON HEALEY * Los Angeles Times" -- Of course it's hard be in charge when you don't have a unifying plan to guide ones-self! But r[the Democrats didn't need to have Omar show them this.. PeLOUSY has done a marvelous job at doing this for years!

M/C L-E headline/story: "US consumer prices rose 0.2% in February * U.S. consumer prices rose 0.2 percent in February, pushed up slightly by higher gasoline and housing costs even as the prices for autos and clothing slumped. * The Labor Department says the consumer price index rose a modest 1.5 percent last month from a year ago. Inflation has been muted despite the solid job market, causing average hourly earnings – after being adjusted for consumer prices – to climb 1.9 percent in the past year. This marks the strongest inflation-adjusted wage growth since November 2015, an increase that would likely help consumer spending and economic growth." -- Hmm.. just another indicator that FED chief Powell's last quarter rate increase was not necessary.. rate increases should be used to stop out-of-control inflation, not stop business and productivity...
