Today is Ash Wednesday..

From the "grasping at straws" department - HuffPOOPOO crap: "Omarosa names the insider whose testimony 'will be the end of Donald Trump' * Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman said Tuesday that there’s one longtime member of President Donald Trump’s inner circle who could reveal everything if called to testify. * “Who do you think Trump fears most will be brought in?” Matthews asked. * “One name: Rhona Graff,” Manigault Newman replied without hesitation, referring to Trump’s longtime personal secretary." -- Good grief.. simply an "ex-15-minutes of famer" wanting to bask in the light again... Sure, no one in Mueller's gang didn't know Rhona Graff existed...

---
Still in shock learning that 10 people killed in the tornadoes that struck Beauregard, AL were from one family group...pray for.. and hold the family survivors close to your heart.

---
Online headline: "North Dakota State player wore Democratic Socialists pin at the White House" -- Well... then I guess he learned that President Trump is indeed his president, too. Noticed that NDSU graduate Ilhan Omar, D-MN. did not participate in the celebration.

---
From the "Bias? What bias?" department - Online headline story: "Poll: 64 percent of Americans think Trump has committed crimes * Poll: 64 percent of Americans think Trump has committed crimes*" -- Hmmm.. key word here is "believe" versus "know". Now, the only poll that MSM-13 should be running is "Who believes Hellary has committed crimes?".. By the time Democrats finish answering, over 110% would say the believe she's guilty as sin.

As I mention ever so often, I like "lists"... unfortunately, Columbus doesn't fare well in them - Here's a list of the "Most and Least Literate States"... The state of GA barely escaped the bottom 10 percent.. .. being listed at the 45th Least Literate state. In most "lists" Georgia fares better than Columbus, so I am assuming the same applies here:

45. Georgia
> Adults lacking basic prose literacy skills: 16.7% (6th highest)
> Pct. adults with bachelor’s degree or higher: 30.5% (23rd highest)
> Public libraries: 3.9 per 100,000 (11th lowest)
> Registered library users: 38.3% of pop. (2nd lowest)

One figure I'd love to see is the number per 100,000 of active Library users (cards used within last 2 years) in the Chattahoochee Valley Library system.

From the "there's a difference in making a GOOD decision rather that a politically correct one" department - Online headline: "Trump says he agrees 100 percent with keeping U.S. troops in Syria" -- Right or wrong are not the best parameters to judge a decision... those are coin flips... at best.. good leaders make GOOD decisions.. decisions that can be revisited as more.. better ..information comes to light. When Trump made his original decision, it was based on "best available" information.. the military minds who disagreed with him then delved more into the situations and got him better information, which Trump now is using to change his decision.. Think about how Benghazi way have had a better ending had Hellary delved more into the dire actualities of conditions there.. and brought American personnel home.

Hey, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.. sorry to disappoint you, but Forbes just released its "Billionaires List".. and there are 607 current BILLIONAIRES in America.. and their combined wealth is #3.1 TRILLION.. Sorry, even confiscating their entire accumulated wealth will not fund one year of your "Medicare For All" and "New Green Deal" fantasies. In fact, the ripple effect of eliminating all that wealth would be to defund the tax revenue sources that are donated to Democrat candidates, and that pay your Congressional salary.

---
From the "it just won't go away" department - Virginia Governor Northam's hope of his youthful indiscretions just will not fade away quietly as he and the Democrat Party have hoped.. Last week, his wife, the First Lady of Virginia, handed out cotton while giving 8th grade Senate Pages of the Governor's Mansion's a tour of its historic kitchen cottage. * "During the tour of the Mansion Cottage, (three) pages were asked to hold cotton that the First Lady retrieved from a bowl on a nearby table," * "Mrs. Northam then asked these three pages (the only African-American pages in the program) if they could imagine what it must have been like to pick cotton all day." -- Hey, MSM-13.. there's real story you could write about that's NOT a hatchet job on President Trump..

---
We went down memory lane last night. The TV lineup was ultra skimpy, so checked out movies on the Roku Channel, and found " Secondhand Lions" was available. If you haven't seen it, you have missed one of the best. If you have a chance, watch it..whether for the first time or "just again " ..it's even better the 5th and 6th times.

---
From the "maybe Trump is rubbing off on them" department - Online headline/story: "The DC Council just cut $20 million for homeless services to fund tax breaks for commercial properties" -- What a take by MSM-13.. Commercial enterprises will use tax breaks to create more jobs which will eliminate more homeless persons than any hand-out program. Amazingly, this is being done in Wash, DC which voted 93% in favor of Hellary.

---
Online headline/story: "Three sentenced in Adidas recruiting scandal * A federal judge on Tuesday sentenced the three men convicted of pay-for-play schemes to steer high-profile recruits to Adidas-sponsored college basketball programs" -- Hmmm makes you wonder why former Columbus Parks&Rec Department head Tony Adams wasn't charged with this for the Nike BB program illegally run through an illegally set-up City Government account here in Columbus, GA several years back..

---
Online headline: "Portland (Oregon) gives atheists civil rights protections against discrimination" -- DOH! I do believe this aspect is covered by our US Constitution, but this appears to be more of an onerous .. even odorous.. attack on Christians than protection for atheists/agnostics..

---
You know, it's basically the Democrat mantra to talk about what they need to do...except when they are actually in power and CAN do what they claim they "need to do"..

---
Online story: "Rep. Maxine Waters launched a scathing attack on President Trump, calling him “unworthy” and saying that “God will never forgive” him." -- Hmmm.. personally, I doubt Maxine Waters even has a relationship with God... or she would know our God is full of mercy..full of grace, and full of forgiveness. God doesn't abandon people...some people just abandon God.

---
About the rhubarb over Alexandia Ocasio-Cortez' campaign funds being sloughed off into a political consulting organization and whether or not she actually knew that the organization was basically a "laundering" outlet that didn't have to report what it did/does with the money.... of course she KNEW! It's exactly why she did this!

---
Good grief...DEMentiacrats are kicking around a resolution aimed at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, chastising her for anti-Semitic comments....Heck, the DEMs should just put a blank line where the name goes so every DEM who has expressed anti-Israeli sentiment can just fill in the blank.

---
This bothers me... that Social Security spendings can be considered part of the government's "deficit Spending" problems.. Social Security is funded separately by individuals withholdings which are matched by employer funds.. Any deficits have to be caused by inappropriately named programs Congress has added using the Social Security name.
