After learning about Colorado's Socialist Government eliminating the death sentence as an option for violent criminals, and with recruitment of new police officers here being difficult enough as it is, I would hate to have to tell potential recruits families that if their spouse/parent dies in the line of duty, then the killer can't be executed.
