WTVM-TV9 headline: "Traffic meters working on JR Allen Parkway in Columbus" -- Good grief! Let's look at a couple of things.... take the entry to go west on JR Allen from the River Road access. What are the logging trucks going to do? First, they speed through the "u-turn" in order to have enough speed to get out of the merge lane into main traffic.. Now, they will have to be prepared to come to a complete stop as soon as they make it around the "u-turn"... Now.. how will those logging trucks EVER get up to merge speed from a standing stop. Next, how long will it take for people to learn how to move according to the traffic lights because they haven't been able to learn the basic merge protocol of controlled access highways....nor even the River Rd 'Roundabout ... just last week, I met one car who had taken a partial left turn into it , and was behind another one as it not only completed a left turn on it, but then continued halfway around to the Green Island exit.
