Looks like the Columbus homicide rate took another leap upward Wednesday.. 2 were found shot to death in an Uptown motel on Veterans.. This definitely rewrites the totals (conflict as to whether 21 or 24) for 2021, but either number points to a huge increase (85 to 100) versus last year's RECORD number of 46. I still.. and I think Columbus DESERVES to know...want to know about how many shootings have been reported this year.. whether misses, wounded, or kills took place..

Saw where DeWitt Weaver, Jr passed away at age 81... DeWitt was the 1972 Southern Open when it was played at the Green Island Club in Columbus, GA. I had the pleasure of playing with him in the 1972 Pro-Am preceding his victory... and my late father-in-law, Ray Mobley, Sr, played with DeWitt in the 1971 Pro-Am. Heck, those two may be teeing up again now as we speak..
