Online headline/story: "BLM transferred millions to Canadian charity to buy mansion formerly owned by Communist Party * The purchase comes as BLM faces internal turmoil * Black Lives Matter (BLM) moved millions of dollars to a charity in Canada run by the wife of co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors to purchase a mansion that used to be the headquarters of the Communist Party of Canada * M4BJ, which is a non-profit based in Toronto that was set up in part by Janaya Khan, bought the 10,000-square foot mansion for $6.3 million in July 2021. Khan is the wife of Khan-Cullors, a self-professed Marxist who helped found Black Lives Matter Global Foundation Network." -- Hmmm... looks like Patrisse Khan-Cullors has taken a page out of the Clinton's playbook.. set up a foundation in Canada which doesn't make foundations publicly report it's source of donations nor distributions. Wonder if any of the "woke" corporate donors to BLM have awakened since?

Let's see... in addition to this latest mansion the Patrisse Cullors bought in Canada plus the earlier mansions bought in Georgia and California, I feel pretty good about the Patrisse Cullors may have their own interpretation of BLM... Buy Large Mansions...

Online headline/story: "Democrat delegate attacks Youngkin's faith, says his CRT ban shows he's 'not a Christian' * Don Scott, a VA State Representative, said Youngkin's ban on CRT in schools shows he's not 'a man of faith'" -- Hmmm...I'd think Representative Scott should look at "the log in his own eye". It's apparent his JUDGMENT of Youngkin makes Scott the one who's relationship with God should be questioned...

---
Online headline/story: "DC Comics' 'woke' Superman reboot fails to fly with readers: report * "Superman: Son of Kal-El" #1 sold only 68,800 copies since it debuted in July, according to a report * The story line involves the son of the original Superman working as a climate activist, as well as an advocate for illegal immigrants. He also dates a male reporter." -- Hmmm...sounds like Marvel makeover may have needed a new name to go with it's new persona ... Maybe "Stupor-BI-nary"?

---
Online headline: 'Swim against Penn's Lia Thomas at NCAAs? Not 'a problem,' Stanford Olympic silver medalist Brooke Forde says" -- Hmmm...so Forde considers this "Social Change"? Well... It seems more like an attempt by Thomas to grab some "$ocial ka-CHANGE" for himself and maybe a cover shot at $ports Illustrated'$ next $wim$uit i$$ue.

Follow-up on a conflict of interest issue here in Columbus, GA.. that of an elected official on a property taxing authorized School Board receiving $10,000,000.00 of property taxes for a non-profit organization she founded based on the opinion of an Assistant State District Attorney... it appears that Council is going to drop pursuit of the issue. Well, I think it should be decided by a judge and jury. Just think about the lack of justice America has experienced in recent years based on an opinion of a District Attorney rather than a judge and jury.Where's the prosecution of Hunter Biden... where's the prosecution of James Comey...where's the prosecution of Hellary Clinton... where's the prosecution of Creepo Cuomo.... where's the prosecution of ILLEGAL ALIENS and their Democrat enablers? And look at BLUE states/cities where District Attorneys have decided not to prosecute drug or property crimes or street assaults... No, the opinion of an Assistant State Attorney General who was originally not given ALL the facts is not a valid reason to drop this issue..

Now.. the project is a good one, but there is a lower cost, less political option. Columbus is blessed with successful, retired contractors, developers, financial wizards, and local foundations and service clubs.. Surely a volunteer panel can be assembled of retired executives, combined with Habitat for Humanity, local foundation and individual funding, service club members along with City Council assistance, and get this project done..

Online headline: "T-Mobile to terminate corporate employees who aren't vaccinated by April * T-Mobile's new policy was announced on Friday in an email from its human resource chief to all staff" -- Having been a PowerTel/T-Mobile customer since 1997, I will change to another Service Provider if T-Mobile doesn't revoke it's edict! For the record, I am voluntarily vaccinated.

---
Online headline: "'SNL' Weekend Update agrees Biden era like FDR's: stock market woes, threat of war in Europe * The show's cold open also featured Biden being briefed on how to counteract Russian disinformation on social media by a teenage mean girl" -- Looks like SNL has just eliminated JoKKKe Robinette Biden's midterm and 2024 re-election campaign strategy.. "Fireside Craps with JRB and Jill"

---
Wow! Key Democrat candidates shunned greeting Resident JoKKKe Biden in Pennsylvania yesterday... There's more to it than meets the eye.. It wasn't just about the differences between Dems and Republicans... it was about the differences within the Democrat Party going into heir primaries ahead of mid-term elections.. ... the same as when Stacey Abrams snubbed him in GA earlier.

Not that I accept it as "OK" or approve, but I understand when politicians make intentional statements that involves a half-truth, or a promise they don't plan on keeping, but I do not understand why a journalist will look at a fact and twist the truth. Our Forefathers made our Constitution's 1st Amendment all about guaranteeing the right to free speech so they could tell the truth even if politicians didn't WANT to hear it. Journalist have the responsibility to monitor their industry and protect this right for those who follow in their foot steps.

Online headline/story: "Only 59% of single adults encountered by Border Patrol expelled via Title 42 in December * Biden has kept Trump-era policy in place, but its use has decreased * Latest Customs and Border Protection (CBP) numbers show that 68,347 encounters involving single adults were processed" -- In short, this means over 25,000 single adults have been released "to feel free to roam about our country".

Since it was "our money", when will WE Columbus, Georgians get to see how it was... or is scheduled... to be spent? I'm talking about the millions of dollars funneled to our City amd Muscogee County School System from various Covid-19/American Rescue Plans.. It was, I believe, north of $100-Million combined...

Oh! Speaking of "accountability", why are the City's website accounting info only available through October to the public?

---
Why is Council so set in returning parking meters on spaces on Downtown streets... again? It's bad enough for shoppers/diners to have "free" 2-hour limits before getting ticketed, but to have to PAY for a spot and probably STILL get ticketed just for wanting to patronage a local business or two... Now, what would aid parking issues and City revenue greed wound be for CSU and Downtown businesses to "Airtag" their students and employees cars while making parking on the streets between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Midnight Both the college and City have available parking garage spaces (and many are free or at monthly discount prices) and electronically monitor the downtown streets violations.

From the "Tale of OUR Two Cities?" department :

City 1 - WTVM-TV9 headline/story: "State of Georgia economic outlook released by UGA Terry School of Business * COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The future looks bright for Georgia as a state, and Columbus in particular. * Top UGA economists came to the Columbus Trade and Convention Center to share the positive outlook with business and community leaders. * Georgia expects to see statewide economic grow of 4.3-percent in 2022, powered by mostly private sector growth. * When it comes to Columbus, jobs are expected to grow 3.6-percent in 2022. * The current pillars of the Columbus economy: Fort Benning, Columbus State University, TSYS, Aflac and Piedmont Columbus Regional and St. Francis Hospitals will continue to play big roles in our recovery."

City 2: WRBL-TV-3 story: "At Thursday’s University of Georgia Economic Outlook luncheon, Columbus business, civic and political leaders got to hear the forecasts from top economists. * The news is a mixed bag. * The Columbus area has about 110,000 jobs. Because of the stability of Fort Benning – which is about 1 in 5 of those jobs – Columbus lost fewer jobs than other parts of the state and nation. * But as jobs are added back, Columbus is seeing slower job growth than the nation and state, says Dr. Jeff Humphries, Director of Economic Forecasting, University of Georgia. * “You are still down around 3,400, 3,500 jobs,” he said. “I think you will recover another 2,000 in 2022. So, full recovery is a story for 2023 in terms of jobs. … You lost fewer jobs, percentage-wise, to the COVID-19 recession than both the state and the nation. But the recovery is slower here.” --

Wow! You know, I don't believe I've ever seen one of the UGA Terry School of Business "roadtrip seminars" to Columbus that wasn't "glowing" about Columbus, but I also remember not seeing results meet those expectations.. even this "story" points out that the State 4.3 percent economic growth is nearly 20% higher than 3.6 percent economic growth projections for Columbus. These tow news reports of the same subject demonstrate .. confirm.. my observations.

Not seeing/hearing about any follow-up concerning the "affordable housing" (taxpayer supplemented) project and the "scandal" surrounding it has been disappointing. While the "good intentions" are wonderful... the planned execution reeks of disappointment. But there is a way this could happen.. Start with a volunteer board of retired contractors, developers, and financial industry leaders who want something to do to occupy some of their retirement time, and let them control such a venture.. I think financial and charitable institutions could enthusiastically get behind such a volunteer group on a mission..

---
From the "another flip-flop" department - Online headline/story: "‘Immediate bond’: Bidens welcome cat named Willow to White House" -- Good grief.. from dogs to a cat" Hmmm.. guess the Secret Service will have to provide a "litter cleaner/changer"

---
WRBL-TV3 headline/story: "Red-hot housing market is driving Columbus economy; See how much a $200,000 home has appreciated in a year * As inflation rises and the nation claws out of the COVID pandemic, there is a sharp focus on the economy. * “If you bought a $200,000 home 12 months ago, you could put it on the market for probably $245,000,” said (a) broker and owner of Bickerstaff Parham Real Estate. “And it would sell with multiple offers within a week.”" -- Hmmm... and the prices for those new "affordable houses" is projected at between $120K and $165K... Can't you see real estate investors "enticing" those new housing owners with a quick $10K to $25K profit, then "flipping" them on the open market at an additional profit for themselves?

Though I am not a promoter of polls, this one has more meaning than most: Online headline/story: "Stacey Abrams Ousted by Both David Perdue, Brian Kemp in Hypothetical 2022 Races" * The survey conducted by the University of Georgia's School of Public and International Affairs for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution found 48 percent of respondents said they would vote for incumbent Republican Kemp. Forty-one percent said they would vote for Abrams, while 8 percent said they didn't know who they would support. * The poll also posed the hypothetical match-up of Abrams against David Perdue, the former U.S. senator who is challenging Kemp in the GOP primary. * Given that choice, 47 percent said they would vote for Perdue, who has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump, while 43 percent said they'd cast their ballot for Abrams." -- Hmmm ... the important aspect of this poll was that it was conducted BY the University of Georgia's School of Public and International Affairs FOR The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, so we know the poll questions and responders were biased towards Abrams. This probably explains why Abrams went into hiding when JoKKKe Biden and Chuckles Harris came to Atlanta...

From the "oxymoronic" department - Online headline/story: "‘Raising taxes on working families is the last thing we should do during a pandemic’: Senators press Biden to extend child tax credit * five Democratic senators are urging him to push for the payments anew. * “Without the expanded credit, nearly 10 million children will be thrown back into or deeper into poverty this winter, increasing the monthly child poverty rate from roughly 12% to at least 17%,” wrote Sens. Michael Bennet of Colorado, Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Raphael Warnock of Georgia and Ron Wyden of Oregon in a letter on Wednesday to Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris." -- Hmmm ... if "Raising taxes on working families is the last thing we should do during a pandemic",why does Senator Warnock, D-GA, and the other 4) want to raise taxes on every working family to benefit a few other working families? The "government" has no money of its own to give ANYBODY!

---
Online headline/story: "Georgia Lawmakers Push Plan for New School-Choice Program * GA House Bill 999, dubbed the Georgia Educational Freedom Act, would provide $6,000 for Georgia students each year in scholarship accounts to attend approved private schools of their choice. * We’ve got to recognize that we already fund students directly with Pell grants and the G.I. bill for higher education,” Cantrell said. “We do the same for Pre-K programs like Head Start, so let’s bring that same logic to K-12.”" -- Hmmm... excuse me.. but would GA families get more benefit, at lesser costs, if the GA Legislators just revamped.. improved... the curriculum, standards, and goals of existing public school programs already in existence?

---
Online headline/story: 'Judge to decide if report on voting machines can be public * Georgia’s secretary of state on Thursday called on a voting technology expert to ask a judge to release a report detailing alleged security vulnerabilities in the voting machines used by the state — something the expert had already done. * The report by J. Alex Halderman was filed under seal in July in federal court in Atlanta as part of a long-running lawsuit challenging Georgia’s voting machines. Halderman spent 12 weeks examining the Dominion Voting Systems machines used in Georgia and more than a dozen other states and identified “multiple severe security flaws” that would allow attackers to install malicious software, he wrote in a sworn declaration filed in the case." -- Good grief! If the data in question is as reported, and it shows that knowing votes could be altered prior to the election, then Dominion Voting Systems should be made to refund the costs of those machines.. While this is going own, GA ... and every other state... should adopt a new law forbidding the purchase of voting machines that aren't actually made in the US, but also ones that aren't fully vetted and shown to be tamper-proof.

From the "parents beware!" department - Online story: 'Apple Inc. is planning a new service that will let small businesses accept payments directly on their iPhones without any extra hardware, according to people with knowledge of the matter. * The company has been working on the new feature since around 2020, when it paid about $100 million for a Canadian startup called Mobeewave that developed technology for smartphones to accept payments with the tap of a credit card. The system will likely use the iPhone’s near field communications, or NFC, chip that is currently used for Apple Pay. * The upcoming feature will instead turn the iPhone into a payment terminal, letting users such as food trucks and hair stylists accept payments with the tap of a credit card or another iPhone onto the back of their device. " -- Wow! What a possible disaster for every parent who has a teen with an iPhone! It won't take long for teens to learn if they need a few bucks.. or a lot of bucks... they can tap their parents credit/debit cards on their phones without their parents knowledge (at least until the bill comes in and it's read). Even worse is that there are already devices that will read your credit/debit cards in your wallet unless you have an infrared data protected card holder.

Online headline: "DEMOCRATIC STRATEGIST JAMES CARVILLE: ‘DEMOCRATS WHINE TOO MUCH … QUIT BEING A WHINY PARTY’" -- You have to admit Carville is right on Manchin being closer to the majority of Democrat voters, and is not a Conservative on most issues, and the Republicans need to find and support a quality candidate in WV in 2024 that the voters will find more attractive than Manchin.

---
From the "do as I say, not as I do" department - Online headline: "Maryland's gerrymandered House defended by DCCC, as group adds state's lone GOP House member to target list" -- This is the agenda of the Democrats in all states... buy votes by agenda rather than build a better future for all citizens within a state/district...

---
Online headline/story: "California trans child molester, 26, gets 2 years in juvenile facility thanks to progressive DA Gascon * Tubbs, 26, pleaded guilty earlier this month to molesting the girl in a women's bathroom Dec. 31, 2014, when Tubbs was 17 * Prosecutors say Tubbs walked into the bathroom of a Denny’s in 2014 and grabbed the 10-year-old by the throat, locked her in a stall, and put her hand down the girl’s pants. Tubbs stopped when another person walked into the restroom, the Los Angeles Times reported." -- Now the girl is 18 or 19, and has had to live with the legal systems mismanagement for the past 8 + years only to find that now she could possibly be stalked by him in 2 more years.. Whatta travesty!

Online story: "Recently, the U.S. has seen more migrants coming from countries such as Nicaragua, Brazil, Cuba and Venezuela. Those are nationalities that Mexico is believed to be refusing to accept via Title 42 returns. The number of Nicaraguans has shot up from 1,930 in March to 15,298 in December. The number of Brazilian encounters has risen from 3,995 in March to 7,924 in December, and the number of Cubans increased from 2,556 in March to 24,819 in December. * According to CBP statistics, the number of "other" nationalities (not from Mexico or the Northern Triangle) has risen from 11,909 in February to 79,269 in December." -- I did not realize that Mexico was only holding Mexicans under the Title 42 agreement.. Why isn't Mexico being held responsible for allowing non-Mexicans to travel unhindered through its country to our border? Also, you can bet the Brazilians, Cubans, and Nicaraguans were allowed.. maybe even selected... by their government... meaning mainly criminals... to come to America.

---
Now we hear that about 2,000 Russians have crossed over our Southern Border.. Hmmm.. and Biden hasn't sent any soldiers or invasion weapons to OUR border to stop the invasion!

---
Guess I.C.E.. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has another new acronym meaning... I Can't Enforce!

From "the truth will set you free!" department - Online headline/story: "US scientists who downplayed COVID-19 lab leak origins theory sang a different tune in private, emails show * Scientist said of COVID-19: 'I just can't figure out how this gets accomplished in nature' * U.S. scientists who publicly attributed the COVID-19 pandemic to natural origins rather than human engineering were far less confident in private, transcripts and notes from previous meetings show. * However, conversations between public officials seem to indicate that some experts may have consciously chosen to suppress evidence" * I really can't think of a plausible natural scenario where you get from the bat virus ... to nCoV where you insert exactly four amino acids 12 nucleotide that all have to be added at the exact same time to gain this function," Dr. Robert Garry from Tulane's School of Medicine said, according to notes from a February 2020 meeting released by House Republicans." -- Hmmm... wonder how Dr FRAUDi and JoKKKe Biden, and the White House "handlers" will "spin" this...

---
Online "headLIE"/story: "Student borrowers in shock over 'zero balance' as federal program fulfills elusive promise * The notice from the federal government took Lee Dossett, a doctor in Lexington, Kentucky, by surprise. "Congratulations!" it began.
* After a couple of years of denials for a student loan forgiveness program designed for public servants, Dossett, who has worked in the nonprofit sector for 10 years, was told last week that not only was his application re-evaluated, but that the Department of Education had determined he should have his outstanding medical school loans erased altogether — about $75,000 worth." -- Good grief! The "federal government" has NOT "given" students paid off loans... the DEMOCRATS in federal government have used taxpayers money then taken the credit for it!

---
Online headline: "Pittsburgh bridge collapses before Biden visit to tout infrastructure needs " -- hmmmm... This is just an ominous reminder of what of Biden and Obama's non-existent "shovel ready" jobs they promised in 2009 has caused!

---
Online headline: "Georgia Today: Neighbors of proposed $5 billion Rivian plant say 'Not in our backyard'" -- Hmmmm.. and why isn't Columbus' Chamber of Commerce there with a crowd waving "We want you! Come on over!"

---
Online headline/story: "Harris Mocks Holocaust Victims: On Day of Remembrance, VP Meets With Socialist With Anti-Semitic Ties * Thursday was International Holocaust Remembrance Day. While people around the world honored the millions of Jews who were robbed of life during the Holocaust, Vice President Kamala Harris met with the newly inaugurated president of Honduras, who has ties to people accused of anti-Semitism." -- Hmmm.. bet the White House "handlers" had as big a chuckle as Chuckles Harris did...

---
Online headline: "Biden sending troops to Eastern Europe soon as Ukraine turmoil intensifies * The president has said no US troops will move into Ukraine" -- Good grief! Now Putin knows he can do what he wants without US intervention because JoKKKe Biden just laid his cards on the table face up.

---
Online headline/story: "Spice company that called Republicans racist begs for gift card purchases after losing customers * The spice company has reportedly lost more than 40,000 subscribers after the CEO's politically charged email * Penzeys Spices CEO Bill Penzey renamed the extended Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend to be "Republicans are racist weekend" in a newsletter to customers. In the letter, he said his aim was to anger Republicans in honor of the late civil rights icon." -- Guess Penzey is another victim of a liberal history curriculum... Hey, Penzey, Dr Martin Luther King Jr was a REPUBLICAN... and Republicans passed the 1965 laws , not the Democrats!

---
Online headline: "Poll: Most Americans want Biden to consider 'all nominees' in Supreme Court pick * More than three-quarters (76%) of Americans want President Joe Biden to consider all potential nominees to replace outgoing Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, according to a recent ABC News-Ipsos poll. * Just 23% of those polled wanted Biden to restrict his list of nominees to Black women." -- To me, this "poll" says 99+ % ( 76 + 23 ) of Americans have no problem with a Black woman being appointed as long as she is the best choice available from all candidates available while the 23% who feel 93% of Americans shouldn't be considered.

Hmmm.. I guess he best we can hope for is that Resident Biden rarely keeps any promise... Progressives know this well.

---
Online headline: "Louisiana 4-year-old dead after gun fires in car where adults were smoking marijuana: authorities" -- Wow! Besides the fatal gunshot for which none of the car's occupants has owned the responsibility, the 4 year old was subjected to second-hand marijuana smoke.
