Remember Joe Camel hawking Camel cigarettes.... or Fred Flintstone pushing Winston's? Remember when using cartoon characters were banned from advertising adult products that could entice children.. Well, now I'm seeing TV drug ads (Tezspire) using animated people and animals (cartoon characters) to attract customers attention. This is wrong.

Mitch McConnell hasn't been right often, but he was right on the mark at not vetting Merrick Garland for a Supreme Court seat. Watching Garland as Atty General has exposed his partisanship to the LEFT rather than to our Constitution.

As hard as the Democrats have tried to make cases against Trump over the past 6 years, you'd think they would try to give their efforts credibility by at least looking into the doings of Hunter and JoKKKe Biden and the "leak" of the US Supreme Court draft. It's not going to happen unless Republican retake both Chambers, and then MSM will yawn it off as purely political, racist, and misogynistic. ... and all reports of the two scandals will be referred to as "The Stole Dossier".

---
From the "Bias? What bias?" department - Online headline/story: "At least 9 midterm candidates face misconduct or abuse allegations * The candidates, mostly Republican men running for Congress or governor, have been stung with a range of accusations that could plague their campaigns. * But will the voters care? * "Eighty-three percent of Democrats, for instance, expressed how a sexual misconduct or abuse allegation would be a serious problem compared to 66% of GOP respondents." -- Hmmmm...It's amazing... the bias MSM shows, that is.....Accusations delving from President Trump's private life are rehashed, yet accusations made about JoKKKe Biden during his POLITICAL career aren't mentioned...Nor is it mentioned that the 83% of Democrats consider abuse issues would still vote for a Democrat candidate..

WTVM-TV9 headline/story: "26-year-old man dies nearly two months after Columbus shooting * 26-year-old Brandon Jones was pronounced dead the ICU at Piedmont Columbus Regional shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday. * The coroner says Jones was shot while driving near Forrest Road and Urban Avenue on March 17. His body will go to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy."" -- Cha-ching! The bodies keep piling up.. I'm beginning to think no Councilor nor the Mayor actually knows the total number for 2022.. No longer is a number mentioned in news reports...

---
WTVM-TV9 headline/story: "Woman in critical condition following shooting in south Columbus * COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A woman is in critical condition after being shot earlier this afternoon in South Columbus. * Columbus police say they were called to the 900 block of Dogwood Drive around 1:30 p.m. on reports of a shooting near Brighton Road and Buena Vista Road." -- And unless she dies.. she won't be counted in any category other than assault...We need to know about all shooting ... whether they have death or injuries associated with them!

Online "headLIE"/story: "A Michigan law from 1931 would make abortion a felony if Roe falls * nearly all abortions would become a felony carrying a penalty of up to four years, even in the cases of rape and incest. That's under an old state law, last updated in 1931, that was never repealed, even after Roe made it unenforceable in 1973. * Mejia Arciñiega is only 18. She's never imagined a world where abortion is illegal. "You wouldn't think that in 2022, we'd be worrying about women's rights, reproduction rights," she said. "You wouldn't want someone young that isn't ready [to] have to have a baby because the law says 'No.' It's not fair."-- Good grief! Even though the Supreme Court's decision has not been given, all the draft indicates is that the Supreme Court overreach of the 10th Amendment will be corrected.. finally.. and revert back to the individual states.. Ms Arciñiega has no worries as no states are going to react on old laws until current legislatures respond, but Ms Arciñiega's attitude is more of the problem than the Supreme Court draft.. With preventive options (abstinence, barrier products, and pills) being readily available, it's attitudes like Ms Arciñiega thinking about using abortions as a birth control method!

WTVM-TV9 headline/story: "Exclusive: Officials discuss Uptown Columbus developments - Part 1: * You may remember years ago, uptown Columbus, formerly known as downtown, was a part of the Fountain City most people avoided. But thanks to legacy donors and several passionate business owners and developers, that all quickly changed and they say this is just the start. * “If we can develop a downtown that will attract a business to Columbus rather than Atlanta, Nashville or Chattanooga, then we will see growth,” said John Teeples, owner and developer of John Teeples Construction. “What we are doing now is just the tip of the iceberg.” * “You can breathe into Columbus, something we haven’t seen before,” said Christopher Woodruff, president of Cotton Companies." -- Good grief! The campaign of UpTown Columbus was a 1970s project that cleaned out the rats's nest in the 1000 block of Broadway and 1st Avenue, but after Kirven's left, the ball was dropped! You know, restaurants, hotels, apartments/condos, and retail are "parasite" industries... they don't thrive without industry nearby to create jobs, and they don't grow without new industry, and when was the last time a new major industry was announced.. In fact, our City has snubbed two majors... we use to have an NCR division making ATM machines, but when Synovus bought new ATM's, Synovus bought some made in Germany...and NCR packed up and LEFT, and after Heckler and Koch (H&K) Firearms built here, our own Council/Police Department made a deal to rearm itself... and did a deal with Beretta! Oh... and "when".. and "what" has the Chamber brought in new industry?

---
WBL-TV3 headline/story: "Male shot at Elizabeth Canty Apartments on Mother’s Day" -- Hmmm.. not every Mother had a good day...

---
Columbus' Democrat GA legislators are pumping up a new bills that passed that did not even NEED their support.. bills addressing needs of our veterans.. Now, what our veterans DO NEED from Democrats is help at getting the already 3 months late new Veterans Clinic OPEN!

---
How wimpy... the people, that is.. who make political donations to both candidates running against each other in a local political race. There should be a law against that!

---
Hmmm... gotta e-mail from Pocahontas Warren yesterday.. she said, "I’m thinking about my mother today. Specifically, I’m thinking about a time when she dug deep to take care of our family." -- Wonder what her name was.. Queen Washing Lying Daughter's Mouth Out With Soap?

---
Online "headLIE": "Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock pushes to end overdraft fees from banks" -- Wow! Memories of the "House Bank" in the Capitol Building in Washington just flashed back in my mind!! You remember this don't you? House members in Washington could write any size check they wanted to write without fear of it "bouncing". My guess is that since Resident Biden has been in office, Congress has gotten use to writing uncovered checks, so now the Democrats want to buy votes by letting their base have the same privilege.

---
Online "headLIE": "Trump Defied by Rally-Goers Booing, Turning Backs on Mehmet Oz" --It's amazing... well. AMAZINGLY PREDICTABLE.. that the Democratic Party will send out agitators to disrupt a Republican rally because the Dems cannot send their own candidates out that can attract that many attendees.

---
From the "Wait a minute.. I gotta solution!" department - Online story: "California energy officials on Friday issued a sober forecast for the state's electrical grid, saying it lacks sufficient capacity to keep the lights on this summer and beyond if heatwaves, wildfires or other extreme events take their toll." -- Wow! california's solution is staring at them in the eyes! californians should recall, PeLOUSY, Schi**, Waters, Smalwell, Chuckles Harris, plus hire the retiring Jen Psaki, and give then Speaker's stands in Wind turbine farms, and their constant flow of excessive hot air should prevent any more GRID failures in the future... plus, it would give America the added benefit of removing them from Washington, DC!

---
Chuckles Harris's "1st African-American Woman VP" title will have to have "Double Asterisks" beside it in history books.. One to connotate her parents were Jamaican and Indian, and the second w=one to connotate that Democrats don't recognize birth gender.

---
Remember last February 2nd... when you were distracted to think only about 6 more weeks of Winter... Well, you should have been thinking about the 36 MONTHS more we have left of Resident Biden.

---
Count down: According to the Mayor.. we have 4 more weeks before the last of the new trash cans are finally delivered and the old cans get picked up. Hmmm ... that's a convenient date... Mayor Skippy doesn't have to deal with another broken promise until AFTER the election..

---
Online headline/story: "U.S. appeals court reinstates Florida voting limits that judge had deemed discriminatory * U.S. Judge Mark Walker in Tallahassee had struck down the bulk of the law in March, finding that lawmakers had designed the legislation to be "intentionally discriminatory" against Black voters. * Friday's order reinstates new restrictions on the use of drop boxes and on third-party organizations' ability to collect voter registration forms. In addition, the law includes a provision that bans groups from offering food, water and other aid to people waiting in line to vote." -- "New restrictions"? No... better PROTECTION for all voters from fraud.. You know.. objection to better voter protection is an obvious ploy to want to be able to commit voter fraud... Oh! Judge Walker was appointed by the Obama/Biden Administration.

---
Online headline/story: "Pelosi announces $45,000 minimum salary for House staffers * House lawmakers will have until Sept. 1 to enact the new salary change. Pelosi said the maximum House staffer pay was also bumped up to $203,700 to match the Senate. * Pelosi said that a 21 percent raise in members’ Representational Allowance in March “will more than cover this pay adjustment.” -- Hmmm... so Queen PeLOUSY has bumped Congressional Staff Allowances by 21% (gonna look it it, but I do remember that the last time I heard, the per member of Congress staffing allowance was $1.3 MILLION.. Interestingly, PeLOUSY's "raises" the (thus adds to) the soaring inflation rate she's helped create.

Oh! I have a compromise for PeLOUSY's staff raises... let's reduce the NUMBER of staffers for each member of Congress.. that ought to serve America better in that the actual elected members will have to spend more time in their offices handling the problems themselves..

Online headline/story: "Gov. DeSantis reportedly banned from NY Museum of Jewish Heritage * Ahead of June’s Jewish Leadership Conference, where Gov. Ron DeSantis will reportedly be a speaker, the New York Museum of Jewish Heritage has banned the governor from its grounds. The ban was first announced in an editorial written for the Wall Street Journal by two of the organizers of the event. * Elliott Abrams and Eric Cohen are leading members of Jewish non-profit Tikvah Fund. Abrams is the chairman, while Cohen has been executive director of the organization since 2007, according to biographies of them on the Jewish Leadership Conference website." -- Hmmm.. while I'm sure this is a political "gesture" by the two executives of Tikvah Fund, and most NY Jews are a lot more hospitable, maybe Governor DeSantis should ban Abrams and Cohen from "vacationing AND/OR retiring" in Florida...

---
I'm looking at gasoline prices on the news from multiple areas of our country.. while most "regular" prices are higher than the Columbus area, one thing that caught my attention is that the price differences between "regular" and "premium/super premium" in other areas is much lower than what stations in Columbus charge. We're getting shafted!
---
Speaking of car fuel... Remember when libs bought expensive imports with diesel engines based on diesel fuel being more economical? Guess they're gonna be trading those in for battery ones...but what will they buy when they find out battery ones will have higher maintenance costs on top of higher fuel costs when all the info is digested.

---
Can you believe LA's DA Gascon doesn't feel the man committed a felony crime when he charged and assaulted Dave Chappelle because.. "the attacker didn't have a weapon in his hand". Hmmm... Does this mean if I walked around with a gun, but just had it intimidatingly displayed in it's holster causing angst to someone I was robbing, I couldn't be charged with "ARMED" robbery? WELCOME to Gascon's california!

---
Online headline: "Women furious as Taliban issue new dress code rules * The Taliban issued a new dress code for women appearing in public in Afghanistan, saying only a woman's eyes should be visible. * 'Attempt to erase a whole gender" -- Hmmm.. the next phase of failure by Biden in Afghanistan is showing up.. as ISIS takes control of the Taliban, new... actually OLD rules are returning that demean women... again.. body shaming clothing and face veils...Hey,, American women who vote Democrat... the Dems are coming for you as we speak!

---
Online headline: "Americus (GA) water deemed safe to drink again; boil advisory lifted" -- Hmmm... wish we could feel as assured here in Columbus, GA, but at last check, our Columbus Water Works is still fighting the EPA about making OUR drinking water safer from FECAL MATTER! For 6-plus years..so far... Columbus citizens have had to live with a small group.. including our current Mayor... pay unrevealed amounts of money for lawyers to keep from providing Columbus with safer, cleaner water..Our streets are unsafe enough, but throwing in unsafe tap water is worse!

---
Reminder... early voting is available! Hey, Columbus, GA! In the local non-partisan contested races scheduled for May 24th.. For Council: Huff in D-3, Crabb in D-5, Cogle in D-7, Redmond in D-9, Anker for Mayor. In School Board races: Tillery in D-2, Cantrell in D-6, Smith in D-8. Oh.. and vote "NO" on the T-SPLOST.. Voting "yes" will continue a hyper-inflation rate of our sales taxes..as well as benefit Harris County more than Muscogee County.

---
Now we have our 1st ever NFL "on field" referee of Asian-American heritage...... how sad it must be for anyone to work hard... pay his/her dues... then hear all this dedication thrown out with the bath water because some liberals decide his/her skin color or birth location are more important than all the effort he/she made to achieve a goal.. Congratulations Lo van Pham.. shame on the NFL, and MSM liberals for ruining his achievement!

---
Online story: " Jill Biden made an unannounced visit to western Ukraine on Sunday, holding a surprise Mother’s Day meeting with first lady Olena Zelenska as Russia presses its punishing war in the eastern regions." - Wow! Looks like Jill Biden took a pretty drastic step to avoid spending Mother's Day in the US with Joe's son Hunter.. Guess she was embarrassed at what Hunter had downloaded on his laptop computers...

---
Online headline/story: "Judge rejects Trump lawsuit challenging ban from Twitter * LOS ANGELES (AP) — A San Francisco judge tossed out former President Donald Trump’s lawsuit challenging his permanent ban from Twitter. * U.S. District Judge James Donato said Friday that Trump failed to show Twitter violated his First Amendment right to free speech. Free speech rights don’t apply to private companies and Trump failed to show Twitter was working as a state actor on behalf of Democrats." -- Hmmm... first question is, "What is a private company?" Surely one that's openly traded by the public driven stock market is not "private" in the same sense as a non-publicly traded company.. Now, let's look at the bias of the judge involved.. .. a Berkeley and Harvard grad appointed by Obama to a Northern california District seat... this sounds like the judge should have recused himself from the gitgo..

---
Online headline: "Terrorism charge for NYC subway shooting suspect * If convicted, Frank James could be sentenced to life in prison for the April 12 attack." -- Good grief! What about "social justice" for all Americans! The "terrorist" hit 10 people and missed many more.. he should be getting the DEATH SENTENCE when (versus "if") convicted!
