Online headline: "Biden designates 2 new national monuments, Spirit Mountain and Castner Range" -- Hmmmm ....One in southern Nevada, and the other near El Paso, TX.....Biden must figure there's tons of oil underneath and wants to make sure America doesn't get it... or either he;s been promised "10%" of any profits from the any new casinos that spring up...

---
Hmmmm... The Cherry Blossom trees in Washington, DC are about to have their first good season during Biden's term in office. Maybe the House turning Republican has made Biden retire more weekends to Delaware, so no one is in DC whacking on Cherry trees trying to tape an advertisement with Biden saying, "I cannot tell a lie" with any credibility.

We were at the Columbus, GA Soccer Complex yesterday, and about 6:40, about a dozen or 15 shots were fired about 100 yards to our east across Woodruff Farm Rd. I called 911 and reported it . The operator took the info and said, "We'll get someone out there as soon as we can." It wasn't the answer I wanted to hear..... but I understood considering how Columbus GA Council and Mayor have been so lackadaisical in getting our police staff up to the "should be" number. Anyway, sirens were heard within 5 minutes, and that was reassuring..

WTVM-TV9 story: "COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Following an uptick in shootings and gun-related deaths and injuries in Columbus in recent years, one group of men and women joined forces Tuesday to put boots on the ground to help combat crime. * ‘Communities of Peace,’ or C.O.P., is a grassroots organization led by non-Columbus-natives. It’s also not backed by any city funding. * A group of about a dozen men and women made their way through three crime hot spots in Columbus: a neighborhood store on Illges Road, then a neighborhood in Midtown on Terminal Court and lastly at the Dollar General on Macon Road. -- Good grief! Columbus, GA has too many "crime prevention groups" for any of them to be effective! How about Council calling all the independent groups and the multitude of the Crime Prevention Commission funded groups into one big meeting where they can all unite into one group, under one "management ", and one expense center... It would be more effective and money better spent.

Online headline: "New York man granted parole after decades in prison for killing parents, brother; injuring sister" -- Hmmmm... guess Gov Hochul considers this a form of "reverse reparation".

---
Online story: Trump posted: "Ron DeSanctimonious will probably find out about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES sometime in the future, as he gets older, wiser, and better known, when he's unfairly and illegally attacked by a woman, even classmates that are 'underage' (or possibly a man!)," -- Aside from Trump's "humorous childish attempt" to rename DeSantis, Trump is right about what attacks DeSantis can expect from the Democrats and leftist journalist's.. It won 't start heavily until DeSantis wins the nomination, but the LEFT will pound him like Russian missiles on Ukraine.

---
Online headline: "Justice Department asks Supreme Court to overturn domestic violence gun ruling * Appeals court said people under domestic violence restraining order retain Second Amendment rights" -- Hmmm... Better yet, and a lot more effective...the US Supreme Court should just overturn Biden's election and Garland's appointment!

---
Online headline: "San Francisco's reparations plan will lead to this surprising outcome for Blacks like me * The wrongs of history will not be corrected by the city's plan for reparations" -- Hmmmm... Guess the Blacks who don't qualify for reparations will become "woke" in a different way... Resident Biden was talking to "them" when he said, "you ain't Black enough"!

You know, the one thing about the huge rain and snow falls in California that;'s being overlooked is not only are the CA reservoirs being refilled, but now there will be enough water for San Francisco to "power wash" homeless settlements on the streets outside Queen PeLOUSY's house...

Online headline/story: "State senators restore full funding of HOPE program * ATLANTA – Georgia Senate budget writers approved a $32.4 billion fiscal 204 state budget late Tuesday that restores the full funding of HOPE scholarships Gov. Brian Kemp recommended in January. * The state House of Representatives reduced HOPE funding in the version of the budget it adopted two weeks ago from 100% of tuition coverage to 95% for all but the highest achieving HOPE scholars, those with high school grade-point averages of 3.5 or better." -- Good grief! The only way HOPE Scholarships can keep up with tuition costs is for the GA Legislature to roll back the University System funding... The costs for such have increased at annual rates far exceeding "inflation" since the Lottery started funding the scholarships 30 years ago.

Online story: "State legislators in Georgia introduced House Bill 794 to remove the official designation of Stone Mountain as a Confederate memorial, and delete the word “Memorial” from the official title of the park. * HB 794 would change the name of the overseeing body to “Stone Mountain Park Association” from “Stone Mountain Memorial Association, and “would remove the requirement for the association to stock and sell Confederate memorabilia at attractions such as Memorial Hall or the Skyview gift shop…However, the biggest change would be the removal of the requirement to preserve the…[figures] on the front of Stone Mountain.”" -- I can fully support renaming the park, and removing the Confederate merchandise, but to even attempt to destroy the carvings would destroy the lessons that have been learned and will be taught in the future.

WRBL-TV3 headline: "MLB veteran Darryl Strawberry comes to Columbus"- What a wonderful straight-from-the-heart testimony! If Darryl Strawberry had be the man we heard yesterday when he was a player, he'd probably own every hitting record in baseball!

---
WTVM-TV9 headline: "Possible severance package underway for Columbus Police Chief" -- I think Council needs to exhaust every effort to use the general budget and Public Safety LOST funds to get our police staff up to the figures it promised in 2008 before trying to "pile on" Chief Blackmon.

---
Online "headLIE": "Shipley Do-Nuts Headed to Georgia for First Time" -- LIE! LIE! LIE! There was a Shipley's Donut Shop at the intersection of Wynnton and Buena Vista Roads in Columbus, GA in the early 1960s.

---
headline: "Trump facing prosecution not just in New York State, but potentially in Georgia, of all places, too" -- General Bull Schiff! If MSM & and the Democrats really feel he's a detriment to the Republican Party, then why are they trying to get him out of the picture?

---
Online headline: "GA Senate panel approves compromise truck weight bill" -- The logging trucks are already "top heavy " and subject to roll-over conditions.. Adding any more weight to the loads will make them even MORE Unwieldy than they are now!

---
Columbus GA L-E headline/story: "Gang members to get mandatory prison sentences under new proposed Georgia law * The bill, which originated in the state Senate, would require judges to impose prison sentences of at least five years on those convicted of recruiting gang members. It also would require tougher penalties for those who recruit someone under age 17 or someone with a disability to a gang, requiring at least a 10-year sentence." -- Good grief! This would be the first charge major cities in GA DA's would take off the table when trying to turn a felony crime into a misdemeanor! We just had a case where double felony gun charges resulted in convicting in a man shooting his own brother getting 10 years of probation with time served as his only imprisonment. I imagine he's back on the street this morning!

---
Online headline: "Serial gas stove user Stacey Abrams trolled for joining group that wants to ban them" -- Good grief! She'll take anyone's money! Of course we knew that from her donations in the past two gubernatorial races..

---
WTVM Columbus online headline: "Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce to host small business boot camp" -- Wish the Chamber would host an event for New and Major Companies coming to or interested in Columbus, GA!
