Now, if it was a gift, why would anyone be giving a $1,000,000.00 'gift' to a multimillionaire? --- Few things are as infuriating as government arrogance (as if we hadn't had our fill of potUS Arpege, Holder, Reid, Pelosi, Frank and Dood's) but yesterday morning, a speeding truck cut in front of me from the outer lane all the way through to the exit lane withoiut using his blinker.. Not so unnormal is some situations, but when the truck has a huge "Law Enforcement" sign on the side from the Dept of Natural Resources, that's a little to much. --- The Natatorium situation is almost without any sense of belief.. A $17,000,000.00 facility with a projected operational loss of $600,000.00-$1,200,000.00 a year is incredulous. Was not due diligence done by looking at similar operations BEFORE the project was approved? And the idea of leasing it out at $1.00 a year is ludicrous... If there is no feasible plan that allows the Natatorium to be self-supporting as a public facility, how can a private entity (or YMCA) be expected to operate it in a way that funds can be accumulated to maintain the facility so it's not an albatross in 10-20 years? She works for Bishop, and her husband, Reginald Pugh is not only the head of the Urban League, but is also running for the seat currently held by the recently widowed Sen. Ed Harbison.
