Was not due diligence done by looking at similar operations BEFORE the project was approved? And the idea of leasing it out at $1.00 a year is ludicrous... If there is no feasible plan that allows the Natatorium to be self-supporting as a public facility, how can a private entity (or YMCA) be expected to operate it in a way that funds can be accumulated to maintain the facility so it's not an albatross in 10-20 years?
